PLEASE READ BEFORE ADMITTING YOURSELF OR A LOVED ONE HERE.This is not an attempt to bad mouth, but a hope to bring transparency to the current staffing situation at this facility. The supervision and pain management my grandmother received here was abominable. We were referred to this facility, told how it was new, clean, and provided great care, so we were hopeful that we were making the right choice for her needs. Unfortunately, our experience was completely different from the reviews wed read, which is why I feel compelled to share it.In just the few days she was here, we experienced multiple accounts of the staffing trying to lie to us about incidents that occurred while my grandmother was in their care. She was 80+ years old and was heavily neglected by her assigned staffing. She once called us crying from her enduring pain, saying how she had tried to get ahold of staff for over 2 hours, and nothing. She devastatingly passed away. I dont believe Ive ever left a Google review, but my grandmother and her pain were consistently neglected and I wish I had seen a more transparent review or sign that reflected this kind of outcome or treatment at Kendall Lakes Health and Rehabilitation Center. I cannot speak to the entire staff, but the ones involved in my grandmothers care should not only NOT be working at this facility, but they should NOT be working anywhere in the health care landscape in any capacity because they are missing the most crucial component these roles demand: Human compassion.

Terrible staffing. Ignore their patients. Theres a reason there are so many reviews here calling to the fact the patients have to call their family members just to get ahold of the facility. **Read that again**. They are not providing timely care, theyre turning cheeks to patients in need. Kendall lakes Health and rehabilitation Center is in need of a complete staff and care makeover. Dont submit your loved ones to this indecency and neglect.

KENDALL LAKES is a blessing. Here you are going to find good people, good hearts, staff that care about the patients and other coworkers, people that have a sense of belonging for their work. I witness how all departments(therapy,activity,food and nutrition service, nursing, maintenance, human resource etc) work together to improve patient and staff lifes quality. The management is very agil to solve any situation.There is a very good sense of humor between all the coworkers. Since you enter everybody greets you with a smile that even with masks on, you can see it through the eyes. Not to mention that in the middle of the pandemic this place offered the best protection for the patients, families and staff, evidence by the RESULTS that speak more than everything else. Good job everyone.

Excellent Care and Leadership. Very warm environment. Laura and Maria are amazing Social Workers whom are very compassionate and provide the best resources for their patient’s needs. And Dolores the Activities Director makes the patients, families, and staff feel appreciated, special, and loved.Every Department in this facility are Top Notch.Highly recommend the Skilled care for your loved one.

Kendall lakes is a beautiful and mesmerizing building, but it doesn’t compare to its employees. The attention, service and respect that you feel from all of the staff members cannot be compared to any other rehabilitation center out there. I would not want to have my family members go to any other rehabilitation or long term care facility. Thank you Kendal Lakes for all that you do!

Kendall Lakes and Rehabilitation Center is an exceptional facility to work for as an Occupational Therapist. All medical professionals work as a team in order to provide the best care to each and every patient. Everyone is knowledgeable, with excellent clinical experience, professional and puts patient care and safety as their top priority. The facility is extremely clean, there are two therapy gyms which are spacious and with new equipment. The patients are treated with kindness, respect, and dignity.

Sometimes you have the fortune of discovering or experiencing something that is simply better than everything else. Without hesitation I can say that Kendall Lakes Health & Rehabilitation Center is truly superior to the alternatives in the local market. You will not find a better establishment for your loved one. Cant thank the Administrative Team enough for such a pleasant experience.

I went to this facility today and was SO impressed!! This facility is like the Ritz Carlton of senior nursing facilities!! The grounds are 5 star, the professionalism from the receptionist up to the Administrator is just second to none! Leyla the Admin is super pleasant, knowledgeable and you can tell their patients are treated the way you would want your parents to be treated. ;-) Highly recommend this facility for all!!

My mother came here after her fall. This difficult situation was made better by the extremely attentive staff and professional caregivers. The social services department was stellar. In particular, Mrs. Quevedo the social services director, made the discharge procedures easy. I’m confident that my mother was well taken care of and she could not be happier with the staff. The place is absolutely immaculate and state of the art. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Fantastic facility! The staff is so kind and caring. I know its been difficult during COVID, but I have felt as though the staff has always had the health and welfare of its patients as its number one priority. Great place if you have a relative that needs care.

Best health and rehab facility in south Florida. Provides ample services and a homey atmosphere. With special regard to its social service department making sure that all its residents receive the upmost support throughout. All staff members are friendly and helpful.

This is an excellent site to work. Staff is very caring. The facility is very clean and modern . It looks like a hotel . A lot of common areas! The nurses, CNAs, rehab specialists , activities, and social work departments are highly professional and focus on patients quality of life and services .

I have never been so impressed by a facility, like I have been with The Palace. The administrator Lily is wonderful goes beyond her duties just to make sure my mother has everything she needs. I am able to schedule visits with the Social Service department whenever My mother has the request to see me. I love The Palace and in hard times with Covid, I can not choose a better place! Thank you Palace for all your hard work and dedication to the residents.

The service that I received at this facility is above the rest. Tamara in unit 300 made me feel welcomed and cared for. I will be recommending Tamara and this facility to all my friends and family.

My grandmother was at Kendall lakes rehab after her hip surgery and it was by far the best care she ever had. Place is super clean and the employees were very attentive to her needs.

I’ve never write a complaint before because I understand how difficult could be to please everyone and I do not want to make anyone in trouble. After that being said, imagine how angry I am at this moment that I decided to write the first complaint of my life. I have my father at this Rehabilitation Center and the care has been horrible. I understand that because of the COVID there are rules that must be followed and that we can not visit our family member for the first 10 days. I think the staff is taking advantage on that and doing whatever they want since there is no one there to see how is your love one doing. To be able to communicate with them, you must call SEVERAL times. They are always busy and unable to return your calls. At this centers, you expect to find kind and professional staff but unfortunately this is the opposite. The nurse Miguel doesn’t show care at all. He tells you he will do something for your family member but never does it. When you talk to him again after calling no less than 8 times, he lies. What kind of nurse are you?? If you don’t like or don’t have vocation for what you are doing then, this is not a place for you to work at. Try for one moment to be in our shoes and be more receptive. Understand you are there to help and make lives better not to make them feel you are leaving in hell and no family member will be there to help you. Very, very disappointed with this place.

Very clean facility felt safe walking in the building. They have a lot of safety protocols in place against COVID 19. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly especially the Social worker Mrs. Laura Quevedo.

I can recommend this place, my father (Adriano Rodriguez Room 318-b) was barely open until December 17, when he died, all the workers in general are very professional and know how to treat the elderly and relatives, always aware of their medications , grooming and care.I must emphasize that despite how young both Yasmar and Leyla are, they have managed to maintain the center with the required care, especially with the pandemic.I want to mention Clarivel Batista always very alert with my daddy, like Loraine, Nadia, Yumi and much more, in general they all get more dizzy than 5 stars.When my dad died they were giving me the support and strength to face the situation.Despite the time it has been open, it is maintained with VERY GOOD CLEANING and attention.

I’m glad I chose Kendall Lakes for the care of my father. Their staff is empathetic and compassionate given that my experience with other facilities in the area. They are definitely worthy of these stars.

My mother was a patient at the Rehab for over 3 months and I was very dissatisfied with the medical attention she received while admitted. I was not satisfied with the lack of progress my mother made while admitted. It was very difficult for me to communicate with the staff on a daily basis to find out about my mother’s well-being. My mother’s clothing was lost. I don’t recommend this facility.

Unless youre looking to abandon an elderly you want nothing to do with or care for,*****LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!!!! (-10 stars)My mother shouldnt be calling me, (l live out of state), asking to phone the facility, requesting to get her out of a soiled diaper shes been left wearing for several hours, being NO ONE has answered or acknowledgd. her essential needs. This place is no better than the rest.Dont do it. Turn around, and walk away from this place,.... RUN!

Working for Kendall lakes rehab has been a wonderful experience. We work as a multi-disciplinary team and strive to learn from one another.

Our family is so grateful our 95 yr. old mother is having the opportunity to receive services at Kendall Lakes Health and Rehabilitation Center. From the administrative staff, who guided and gave us support at a very stressful time in our lives, to the doctors, nurses, therapists and CNA’s who have been so caring, patient and loving to our mom during a most difficult time in her life, we couldn’t have been more fortunate or found a better staff anywhere else.Instead of care givers, mom has found another family here, who treats her as such.From the minute you walk into the facility, you’re greeted with smiling faces willing to facilitate where to get answers to questions you may have. This friendly attitude is spread throughout, from the ones who clean and keep the place spotless, to the ones serving food or making sure everything is in working order.At this very difficult time, as we see our loved ones need the care we can’t provide them at home, we can rest at ease knowing they’re cared for in a loving and patient way here at Kendall Lakes.

These people do not understand the word communication. They do not answer the phone. When they do, they do not return phones calls. They move patients without forwarding all of the pertinent information. Mother company Greystone is no better. They are smoke blowers. Nothing gets done and family is left in the dark. Covid has given these places a green light to operate without a conscious.

This place is amazing!Great people with real humanitarian and professionals skills. My 89 yr old mother has been at Kendall Lakes for about three weeks due to a fractured femur and I am very pleased with the service and care being provided. The staff is so caring, activities are well organized, medications are given accordingly, meals are good. My mom is happy every time I visit her and that gives me peace of mind. I highly recommend Kendall Lajes Rehab.

My mom it is at Kendall Lakes for almost 2 weeks, it is a caring place..

In the midst of the COVID-19, now three month into this pandemic, it is impossible to communicate with a family member at this location , the nurses station never answer their phone, front desk can only transfer calls to room or other station that does not answer and when they do they transfer the call back to the front desk. It is impossible to get anyone to assist my mom in answering her rooms phone, other family members are experiencing the same problem, at a time when our loved ones need to hear from family more then ever due to isolation, this Center fails to assist with communication...This problem has been going on for weeks!!!!!!

The staff in this center is amazing. They are very helpful & treat the patients with dignity & respect! The Rehab center is huge with many dining rooms and places for patients & family to sit and visit.So far, of all the centers I’ve visited, Kendall Lakes Health & Rehab Center is the Best!!!

It is very unfortunate that such a physically nice looking nursing home could have such poor management, social workers, etc. I tried moving my grandmother to this facility and I was promised the process would take no longer than a week. As soon as they received the paperwork with the medical diagnosis everything changed. All of a sudden they were full. When my husband called and didnt give a name he was told there was availability. It is sick that they would play games with a situation like this. I thought they were suppose to be a long term care facility. Upon reading other reviews I see this is normal with them. They want to have a perfect facility with perfect people. Neysa and Betty, are very unprofessional and do nothing but feed people lies. Places like this should get reported for discriminating elders because of medical diagnosis. Stay away.... unless you want to be disappointed by the lack of professionalism and inconsiderate staff.

I am very disappointed in this facility. I have a family member that so far, has fallen of the bed, may have some sort of back injury, yet they do not return the calls. When you call and leave messages they do not call back. When you can ask for the person that is handling my family member, they are never there, They will be in later, they are busy, all kinds of excuse meanwhile the family has no way of contacting our family member that has just been transferred there a couple of weeks ago. We have called several times today and they keep you on hold for ever until you get tired and hang up. We call back and one answers. We have no way of knowing how our family member is doing. What is going on??
