I am horrified at the previous review by a disgruntled former patient. I have been a patient of Dr. Velazquez for over 20 years and have stayed because of the special attentions I get. It is extremely rare to find a doctor that takes the time to know his patients on a personal level. And it is a fact that sometimes patients have to wait in the waiting room if the day is very busy. I have found other medical offices to have extremely long waiting times to then be seen for 5 minutes and disregarded. That has never been my case with Dr. Velazquez and that is why his patients usually have their entire families in the practice as well. I cant say enough good things about him and his practice.

It was appalling to see how disorganized ,inefficient and indifferent the front office staff has become. I called to make an appointment and my phone call wouldn’t go through and there wasn’t any answering machine or answering service. Strange I thought but ok. Then I checked online to see if I could schedule an appointment online but there’s no website. I called again the next day and was able to schedule an appointment. (The office phones turned off when everyone goes to lunch or break ) I arrived for my appointment on time and checked in. After waiting for over 45 minutes with no updates I decided to ask the front desk, how much longer it would be. She said it’s very busy, I don’t know and you just have to wait. I told her I was just wondering because no one had checked in on me or given me a status since I arrived. She then proceeded to look at the sign in sheet and spoke to her colleague in spanish, in front me asking her what was going on and what my problem was. I am fluent in Spanish and was shocked at how rude she was. I told her to cancel my appointment that I would be finding a new doctor. Her response was “ good.” I This has been my PCP for over 20 years and I’m saddened to see how this practice has declined. Previously to going to my appointment I had been advised by various friends and family to look for a new Doctors office physician for these very reasons. I do not recommend anyone go to this office.
