Took my dog here for a surgery for a bite attack. they gave me no instructions on what to do with Billy after the procedure, also they did not close the wound correctly spent 980 for them to leave mg poor billy in more pain , I DO NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU ACTUALLY LOVE YOUR PET

Dr. Cooper is an excellent vet. He is knowledgeable, professional and cares about our pets. He is always accommodating us to his busy schedule if we have an emergency. We never have to wait for my dog to be seen when you have an appointment, so respectful!. They follow up on every visit. They staff is super friendly and caring as well.

5 stars is not enough to describe how amazing doctor Cooper and his team are.Victor comes every other day to get fluid and he is being treated with so much love and kindness by the vet technicians. Its incredible how much they truly care about our fur babies and you get so much reassurance from that. They do such a great job!!My 1st encounter with Dr Cooper who s smile light up the room he s super nice!! After telling him we come here to get fluid he asked to see Victor s blood test and told me that my cat was fine and misdiagnosed. He also reassured me on Victors health and took the time to go over each line of the blood result.Our fur babies are family and its so important to take them to the right place. Sky Lake Animal hospital is definitely is the right choice for us.Also want to add that the front desk girls always make things easy and are so sweet!!I really love this place and so is Victor now, he doesnt even shake when we go there , animals feel everything.

Definitely a big NO if you love you pet! Not professional whatsoever and when they find an issue they prolong to get it fixed so they can keep charging until you get upset and look for another vet! Save yourself money and go to another clinic.

I took my dog for more than a year for an ear infection, followed instructions, changed his food, no other food or treats for the dog because it was an allergy and he didn’t get better and the vet’s answer was “are you cleaning his ears everyday?” His attitude is really rude. I’m sure that they can do much better in customer service specially when you are in the medical field.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My dog recently had surgery at this hospital and I can not even explain the situation without my eyes tearing up. I am just going to show you a picture of how my dog looked when I picked him up. My poor baby was not even stitched up they left him just like this. I am currently suing this hospital.Again I do not recommend you guys to take your dog to this hospital.

Nothing to improve, this place scores 100 out of 10! Saved my cats life after being viciously attacked by a dog, then again after a horrible infection, then again after a nasty respiratory infection! Service is amazing, staff is friendly as heck, helpful, knowledgeable and caring. The Doc is hot, puppies everywhere, whats not to love? Can not say enough good things about this place, I will never trust my pets care to anyone but Sky Lake Animal Hospital. Truly the best in every possible way!

I have taken my dog to Sky Lake Animal Hospital for almost 3 years. The place is super clean and modern. They honestly care for the animals. My dog is very difficult and they do a good job with him. I am do happy I found this vet!

I have no clue where to start with this review. But my dog was congested so I made an appointment to bring her in. When I got there the vet came out and was nice and informative. Thats where it ended. Barely no communication throughout the 8 hours she was there other than she is doing well. $800 later I picked her up nobody told me what they think is wrong just gave me some antibiotics and asked for payment. Nothing on if things dont get better and etc. She was actually worse when I got her home. She could barely breathe. The bill shows diagnostics barely no actions. I called the next day to explain my frustration and the lady said they are too busy to talk to the vet and I should take her somewhere else. NEVER GOING BACK! DO NOT GO THERE!

This morning my dog was able to get his vaccines without even having to go inside the clinic. The super friendly staff came to my car and administered the vaccines while my dog lounged comfortably on the front seat of my car! Best service, nicest people! Thanks Dr. Cooper!

The doctor is so expensive and when you said you couldnt afford everything he said he wanted to take the dog away from you because you couldn’t care for it they keep you on hold for to long and the Manager is really unprofessional

I had an emergency with my 18 years old cat because we had to travel to Europe and they took care of everything: vaccines, paperwork, dealing with the Minister of Agriculture in order to get all the documentation in time. Amazing! I was astonished by their efficiency and kindness. No other vet would have gotten so involved. Thank you!

Dr. Cooper is the best vet. I drive an hour each way just to go to Skylake. Many vets I have been to upsell you. He recommends only what is needed to take the best care of my animals. Nothing but great things to say.

The team at this animal hospital is amazing! Ive been taking my dog here since she was 2 months old and shes one now and I wouldnt take her anywhere else. They are so responsive and truly care for your animal. They answer all your questions and work with you, they also call the day after appointments to check on your animal and see how they are doing. This was our first vet visit for Buddy who is a shelter rescue. Everyone was kind and patient, answering all my questions and explaining what Buddy may need to help improve his health and quality of life. The doctor even discovered Buddy is younger than we thought. I like the preventive and holistic approach to pet health by SkyLake. They are also very flexible in scheduling.

Dr. Cooper and his team are always friendly and supportive with me. I had to go to an emergency vet due to a one inch laceration on my dog and he was in need of stitches. The ER Vet ordered 10-14 days for stitch removal with his primary Vet. Came to see Dr. Cooper and he took them out in less than 3 minutes and handed him right back to me. Thank you for all you do for Niko! This is the only Vet hospital to go to if you are in the Aventura area. Highly recommend! ❤️

I’ve been to this pet hospital with my dog years ago and had a horrible experience. As much as I wish all these reviews about this place having an amazing vet was true- it is not. He truly only cares about money. We haven’t gone back since, until my cat wasn’t doing well this morning and my mother decided to take him in because she was really worried and it was the only place open. He made her spend 1000$ On tests alone!!!!!THIS MAN WILL ONLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU AT YOUR WEAKEST FOR M O N E Y I am MORTIFIED by this behavior. My mom called to check up on the cat and NOBODY EVEN ANSWERED HER CALL. They claimed to have called her but she’s been staring at her phone since she dropped him off! She’s home bawling her eyes out worried and regretful because she could’ve taken him to humane society.Bottom line- please don’t go here. Go to banfield hospital or humane society where people truly care for your pet and will give you an affordable price. And please, trust your gut when you feel you can’t trust your pet with someone.Your animal is your baby, make sure they’re being treated with care, love and respectNot like a money bag.Shame on this place for acting as so, and having the audacity to try and degrade upset people who have witnessed your monstrosity. And sorry for the nurses who may or may not care but can’t do much to help.I hope one day you realize life is more than just making money off vulnerable and scared animal parents.

I have been taking my cat here since I rescued her 3 years ago. His prices are through the roof. The last visit with this vet was terrible. I told him my cats behavior has been concerning me, as she has violently attacked me and started peeing all over the house. He told me to get rid of her because he is not a cat behaviorist. He told me he needs to see my cat again(who he saw just a few month ago and took blood work) and that this visit would cost me $375. I asked him to give me a discount for being a loyal customer. He said “absolutely not” - yes that’s what he said. This explains why his clinic is empty. My vet suggested to either pay for a visit or get rid of my cat. EF him. Never going back here. Money hungry little man

Visit was useless, $600 for bloodwork and X-ray and send us home promising to call back and never called back. I have to call you to get the information. It was important if you send us to other place the same day and not the next day. it was important if you act as a doctors/vets, but you never did. FYI Frank die next morning.

Dr.Cooper is the best, along with his amazing staff. Finding Dr.Cooper 4 years ago has been the best thing to ever happen for my Bentley and Montie. You can tell that he is passionate about animals. We honestly appreciate him. We travel at least 30 minutes because the service is the best. We’ve also used their boarding services as well, which was great and conveniently priced. I would recommend any day.

4 years ago when I got my precious pug Bronco I was trying to get to a vet that my friend recommended and accidentally ended up at Skylake animal hospital and I’m so glad I did. Dr. Cooper genuinely cares about Bronco and always answers ALL my questions (I have lots of them). His staff is always kind and helpful and they even have seen Bronco for last minute emergencies. I feel confident and have peace of mind knowing Bronco is in the care of people I can trust.

I have been a client of Sky Lakes for over 10 years and I would not trust anyone else to take care of my animals. They treat you and your animals like family, answer any questions you have and know all of your pets by name. Just called in to get a price range for an X-ray (i had already received estimates from Banfield Pet hospital, Kind Animal Hospital, and Arch Creek Animal Clinic within the same hour of calling skylake). I was told that they do not do estimates over the phone very rudely. ive never set foot inside this animal clinic, but based on phone call alone i will not waste a penny here.

My husband tells me he is going to the vet just for a check-up of our dogs. He comes back having paid $230 for additional exams that were not even required but were told to my husband they should be done.My husband is at fault as he gets easily scared when it comes to doctors recommendations, believing they are what the dog needs when the dog is healthy.No one should be upselling and much less when it comes to health. Finding another vet. I can also see other reviews of customers who were tricked into getting exams for their pets they didnt need as well. Wish I had read them before.Update: clinic has replied telling me that nothing was done extra other than required.My answer to their response: of course it was. We scheduled a check and clinic told my husband it would be a good idea to run some tests on our dog from Europe for X and Y reasons when he has been healthy for years. There was nothing required by law or anyone as those exams required by law were obviously donw before we got to the US or else they wouldnt have allowed him in the country.

We originally brought our dog to Sky Lake Animal Hospital for a second opinion because our previous vet of 15 years gave our beloved 8 yr old Yorkie a death sentence. Dr. Cooper examined our dog, reviewed the previous test results and said I will remove the supposed deadly tumor. True to his word he removed a large, benign tumor and our dog healed perfectly. The entire staff are friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and very helpful. They even submit my bills directly to my insurance company for me! Most importantly, both Dr. Cooper and Dr. G are top notch veterinarians with excellent people skills. We are extremely happy with all that they have done for both of our dogs.we are committed to these fine professionals.

The office staff are great. Just got off a cruise the day I called for an appointment for a problem with my service dog. I went right over to office from the MIAMI pier and received Excellent care from the Doctor and the procedures that were performed. The dog was able to get well and recover with just one visit because they gave the proper diagnosis and treatment and they sent us home to the west coast with all the required meds. Will definitely use whenever I am in the South Florida area and I recommend them highly for animal lovers located in the local area

Took my cat Sol to check after a big fall and Dr. Cooper and staff immediately examined her with so much care and efficiently notified me her diagnosis. I know more than most about about the delivery of medical services for the lesser human animal. When it comes to our furry or feathered family members, there is simply no veterinary facility superior than Skylake animal hospital. The skilled, kindly Veterinarian and his caring staff give the pets parents comfort and fortitude. I am bipolar two. It would cause me great difficulty if something happened to my cat. Even though he is dictatorial, demanding and annoying. PS: Humans are all the same physiologically. Humans are one species. However animals are different species with unique blood chemistry, unique and different organs, respiratory systems and many more differences which lesser humans do not have. I mention this so we can all appreciate the rigorous study needed to become a Veterinarian. If your pets health is at stake, take him to Skylake!😼🐎🐎

Really like this place. I went there twice, they really seemed like they cared about my dogs. Took care of us quick because the Vets are excellent! Diagnosed my dogs quickly. But what really stands out to me is that they give you some tough love, and I like that, it shows that they are passionate about the care about these animals. Love them.

Dr. Cooper is extremely knowledgeable and properly diagnosed my dog, on our first visit, just by looking at him and by discussing his symptoms. Xrays and tests confirmed that my boy had cancer and Dr. Cooper referred us to the specialists. We had gone to another vet a few weeks prior and my boy was misdiagnosed. I was very impressed with Dr. Cooper and how he knew exactly what was wrong with my pup just by looking at him. I highly recommend Dr. Cooper and Slylake Animal Hospital.

After recently resucing the most lovable, adorable and perfect German Shepard Boy I was hesitant to board him! I fell in love with him so quickly but I had a previous planned trip already and needed somewhere to put him for a few days. I was obviously looking for the most trustworthy, reliable vet to board my Dog (King)! I happened to pass a bus bench with a very attractive veterinarian on it so I decided to stop by the animal hospital to check it out! First off, the vet (Dr.Cooper) is even more attractive in person and his knowledge and care for animals is amazing! Right away I brought King in and had Dr.Cooper do an examination on him! A few days later King called Skylake Animal Hospital home for the weekend and I went on my trip with no hesitation! Thanks Dr.Cooper and staff for everything!!! King and I love you all!

My dog had a strange looking sore on the outer part of his mouth. I took him to Skylake Animal Hospital and the staff was very courteous and they took him in quickly. They found out he had an infection and they gave me the proper medication for his treatment. If you love your pet this is the place to take it for care.

Dr. Coopers bedside manner is extremely poor. Rather, sarcasm, insults, and extremely distasteful responses to questions are the hallmarks of his communication style. Not to mention, his services are overpriced, and staff spends more time on social media than attending to patients/owners. My dog is more sick after the visit, and a $500 bill. You are better off tossing money into the wind.

Following a short verbal questionnaire, patient and owner are ushered by an amiable Vet Assistant to the examination room.Dr. Cooper proved to be knowledgeable and quite gentle and humane. We got a new dog few weeks ago and were looking for good reliable vet in the Aventura area. After reading some Yelp and Google reviews, we came across Sky Lake Animal Hospital. Called in, scheduled an appointment, and came the same day. Ladies up front were very friendly. No wait time, no ton of pets in the front (as we had in another place in Hollywood few years back with our previous dog), just right into the exam room. Goran and Dr. Cooper are very nice. Very friendly, very positive, caring, you can really feel these guys do care about the health of your pet (baby). They both treated our new dog very nicely and quickly. Provided information and assured us that if there is anything needed, theyre there to help and answer. We loved the fact that Goran told us that not to worry, we can call any time to ask any question we may have. From these notions one can really feel that they dont only treat your pet, but also care about making sure youre fully informed and satisfied. We actually came back to buy some meds there today and were sure to come back, hopefully only for routine checks. Highly recommended.

He was wonderful with her when they first met which made me feel so much better because it is scary when we have to find a new dr for our pups. He did the BEST JOB on her dental and her teeth look amazing! The follow up his office did afternto check on her was much appreciated! We are so glad Sky Lake is our new hospital for our Zoey!
