Im newer to eye exams as Ive been fortunate to not have many issues, but decided I needed to get my eyes checked...been almost 2 decades, so probably a good idea. I can confirm that my visit was a very poor experience from the time I walked into the office. I was immediately ignored by the front desk, no greeting at all. I saw 2 front office gals look up at me, both making eye contact, then look immediately down to avoid further eye contact. The doctor was the only helpful, nice person. The rest were cold, ineffective, and not good with customers. In particular, the gal I was told to follow for the initial eye tests (not sure what to call them) was very rude, apathetic and cold. I felt like leaving after experiencing the lack of empathy and consideration I experienced. It felt worse, Im sure, being as I didnt know what to do and my questions were met with complete disrespect. It was as if I was the cause of all her problems. I would give 1 star but the doctor was genuinely good in every way. If you dont mind everyone else in the office treating you poorly to have a good eye doc, its a good fit. If you want a pleasant experience all around, this will leave you frustrated and wanting to be treated like a human being. Im still a bit miffed with what I experienced. :-/

You are not just treated as a number waiting to be helped. The staff are friendly and communicative. The office is professionally managed with competence and care. Dr Reed takes time to explain what your needs are and in terms easily understood. I wholeheartedly recommend his services!

I always have a great experience at Dr. Reeds office. Today was even nicer! The receptionist and the eye test tech were complimentary and just made my day. Thank you for your kind words today.

I have been going to this office for over 30 years with Dr Reed and now his son Dr. Reed. The staff is always very accommodating and even sent emergency contacts to my vacation when I lost a contact. Dr. reed is super personable and kind.Going to a family run practice gives me confidence and assurance that I will see the same doctor where I have a relationship to the office.I can’t say enough about the doctor helping taking his time without feeling rushed to attend to my eye care.

Dr. Reed was very helpful letting me know both the advantages and disadvantages of contacts vs. glasses. He was very professional with my exam and answered all my questions. I feel I am in expert hands with him as my eye doctor.

I’ve been taking my entire family to Dr Reed for over 17 years. We wouldn’t go any place else. Originally we saw the father and now we see his son and we love them both.

The appointment time was the time I was treated - no waiting. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Dr. Reed explained my eyes status and options. I wish all doctors offices were as well managed as this one.

I had a recent eye exam with Dr. James W. Reed and found him to be prompt, precise and professional. Dr. James answered my questions about my vision and exam. Kathy helped me find cute, affordable frames and it turned out to be quick and easy process! I LOVE my new glasses, just in time for another semester at school! Thank you Dr. Reed and Kathy!

I have been coming to Dr. Reed’s office for a couple years now. He is kind and always addresses my concerns. His staff is friendly and helpful, and prompt. I also, bring all 4 of my children here. He is great with them. I would highly recommend his office for your entire family.

Great office! My family has been coming here for over 10 years! Dr. Reed and Dr. Whipple are amazing and everyone in the office is friendly and they are happy to answer any questions or concerns I have. The area around the office has seen better days but other than that I wholly recommend this office to anyone looking for a primary optometrist.

This is an excellent eye care center. Dr. Reed, as well as his staff, were very professional, friendly, and helpful. I had my 4 month old with me and they were very accommodating. Having him there with me wasnt a problem at all. In fact, I was able to hold him during the exam and the dr and a staff member happily held him when it was necessary. I would recommend Dr. Reed to anyone.

I have been going to Dr. Reed for about 8 years and Dr. Reed is great! I always have a very short wait in the office and his staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Reed always takes the time to answer all of my random eye questions and I never feel rushed with my time with him. I really appreciate that no-one tries to sell me on any products beyond what I ask for. I feel like he and his staff care about me and want me to have a great experience. I always do.

Nice office. Doctor is great, technically adept and good personal skills. Open 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of the month. They take a good selection of insurance plans.

Front office staff ruined the entire experience .Lisa and Judy are rude, inpatient and defensive. I was told I hah scratch insurance on my lenses and apparently this isnt true or because they had to redo my glasses 3 times (wrong script or measurements) I apparently used up the money the doctor is willing to help with. But I thought my eye insurance covered the scratches. Obviously contused, all I needed was a kind voice to explain things and instead I was interrupted many times and literally dismissed. Reed is great. He needs new office staff who know how to deal with difficult situations .

John has been my optometrist for quite a while. He has good staff and a nice facility. I would recommend him.

Great place for eye care. We have a 15 year relationship and counting. Highly recommended.

Called to make an appointment receptionist was unbelievably rude and homophobic. Would not recommend.

10/10 would go somewhere else
