Have been going to Nationwide for 14 years for my son. My son was 3 when we started with Nationwide. They have always been very helpful and patient with helping us. So much we have followed Maria Q. from store to store! Cant say enough about her and the staff she works with! I highly recommend!

The doctor was nice, but the woman in the front desk was very rude and unhelpful, the attitude when I couldn’t comprehend what she was saying was unacceptable. Despite how calm I was the lady there was frustrated at me. I came in at Saturday at 1:00 in June 19. The Asian employee didn’t interfere or didn’t do anything, she seemed nice but the one next to her didn’t hold back.

I set an appointment they told me this will be my last one they can do because my insurance needs to be renewed I called them and they told me no that not true it is still good for use.. So I set the appointment, came in and got a pair of glass had no problem I ended up breaking them I called and I wanted them repaired. I paid for them over the phone no one ever called me to tell me to come and get them,I had to call and say you still havent given me my glasses where are they,someone from this store stole them and said I picked them up. I waited for 2 weeks, when I called they said they are already picked up. How can that be? Nationwide always gives me problems! Its so annoying how big these companies are but they dont care!

I cant say enough good about Dr. Will Price. He is absolutely remarkable with patient care. My eyes are SO difficult to get the right script on. I havent seen as well as I do after coming to Dr. Price in decades! I am thrilled at his dedication to his patients and brilliance as a doctor. The lady at front desk was very kind and helpful - didnt get her name though. I give this place a 10!!!

Been a customer for 5 years or so, 1st time at this location and it was a half way good experience.My first appointment was scheduled for the wrong date, after I got the right appointment date they call me to explain that my insurance was no good. I got my ins call them back to verify, apparently they didnt know what they were doing since they were asking each other how to file for X insurance.Both the Optometrist and the lady that performs the eye test (Stephanie I believes her name) were very pleasant and professional, the front staff not so much though, they even got into an argument to see who will help me (trying to avoid assistance, one of them was Kim and a lady with red hair), and when I was signing forms I tried to get help to understand the meaning of the form and no one knew why we need to sign, just that everyone else does it and they mark yes but an exact explanation was not given. After that the overall service just collapsed, I guess we are not allowed to ask questions.This was my first and last visit at this location, hope you bring better service to the front office, friendlier & knowledgeable staff.Thanks for my glasses though, they were on time and very nice.

I arrived 12 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The girl said they only give a 10 minute Grace period. So, the doctor refused to see me even though he was still in with a patient when I arrived & I didnt hold them up at all. I will definately NOT be giving any business to this location because of this doctor. Id much rather have an optometrist who appreciates the people who line his pockets & isnt a jerk. Congratulations Nationwide Vision youve earned my 1st poor review and Ive been writing them for 3 years.

We had to wait over an hour to even be seen. But the Dr was great. To explained things to my daughter like she was an adult and he addressed her, not me. The lady that helped fit my daughter for glasses was great as well.

Friend and I went in to look at glasses and set appointments. They staff was extremely rude and refused to schedule an appointment because my friend did not have his Vision ID card or info (most insurances dont get you a card). Other places are way more friendly and helpful and will look you up in the systems if you know who your vision insurance is with. Target optical, Walmart optical hell even Americas best will all help you.

Edit: 3/16/16After posting here and on social media, I was contacted and given the opportunity to exchange my sons glasses. I appreciate this good faith gesture.However, I took my daughter to the same location last year to fit her with glasses. Two days ago she was diagnosed with congenital cataracts. Would Nationwides providers not have seen this upon her original eye exam? She has cataracts in both eyes, and one is now pretty advanced, completely blocking her vision other than allowing light to pass through the cloud. While I appreciate the gesture with my son, I remain unimpressed.Original review:Did not get what we ordered for our child. The frames were wrong. Picked up glasses after 2 months because staff never called to notify or glasses were in. Staff insisted they repeatedly called and left messages. I have a running list and transcripts of all voice messages since our appointment date and they did not call even once. Staff are LIARS. Now Im out nearly $200 for glasses my child cant use and since THEY NEGLECTED to call for 2 months they say they can do nothing about their mistake AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Love going into this location. The staff is really knowledgeable and very willing to help. They make finding frames that are fashionable and affordable a breeze. Scheduled my appointment and was in and out of there in a jiff. I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

At the beggining my experience was bad. The lady who helped me the first time didnt really listen to me and made my glasses wrong. i had to wait 2 extra weeks for my glasses and could see. I tryed to tell her how my glasses were but she just did what she wanted and ignore what i was trying to tell her. I had to pay extra for her mistake.Then when i whent back a lady name Stephanie helped me and liste And was super friendly. If you go here ask for stephanie or just make sure the other people listen to you.

I had a good experience here. Everyone who helped me was friendly. I had an especially good experience at the end when it was time to pick out my frames. The woman who helped me took the time to pull out frames that she thought looked good on me. She is very knowledgeable about how frames should fit and has great taste. And she didnt try to up sell me. She is very genuine and kind.

Ive been coming here since I was 12 years old and never has the staff been so bad. I ordered contacts a few weeks ago and it took about 10 days to actually get here while they only gave me 5 days worth of daily contacts and when I called to see if my contacts had arrived I was on hold for 39 minutes until it was 5 minutes before their closing time for them to tell me they werent there. I actually drove there because I suspected that they were just avoiding my call so that they wouldnt have to work the extra time to hand me a box of contacts. When I actually got there the manager was rude to me and the fact that I had the same daily contacts in for 5 days didnt phase her. She lied to my face and said there is nothing I can do to help you. Obviously upset that I had to suffer through my eyes burning through 3 photo shoots I had in the following days I kept quiet about how upset I was. I did eventually get a call on the following Monday saying that my contacts were in and I was just glad to not have irritated eyes and I went in happily to take home my contacts. Apparently not only had they taken a ridiculous amount of time to get to me and kept me on hold for 39 minutes but they gave me the incorrect prescription strength- it was twice the strength for my right eye. I was so frustrated however I calmly explained what had happened and they finally gave me a sufficient supply to last me until I got the proper prescription. The current workers at the nationwide vision store (including the manager) on Gilbert and University have made this the most difficult experience to get the proper eye care Ive ever needed. I never go out of my way to rate businesses but I felt compelled to warn others of this place and their 1 star customer service. Hopefully this doesnt persist because I really used to enjoy coming here.

Hurry up and wait! Appointment was scheduled 9:30. What they fail to tell you is that is the check-in time and you will see the doctor at 10:00. 10:21 and still waiting. The assistant manager never apologized just kept asking if I would like to reschedule. She said they are on schedule. Again, never did she apologize. Customer service is poor. The tech doing testing was good. He apologized and made no excuses. Be prepared to wait and schedule enough time.

I was forced to see a doctor we I saw I had metal in my eye. I went in and the doctor was vary kind and professional, he even had a sense of humor. My eperience was great at this location I wish I could remember the doctors name.. I hope I never have to go back for an injury but I know where I will go if I need solid advice about eye care. Thank you everyone there for helping me.

The staff with one exception was extremely rude, both on the phone and in person! I understand that being short-staffed can be frustrating, but that is not the patients fault! One person helping me actually disappeared to go have a cigarette! The doctor was the only person who was pleasant. I am not the only person who has had this experience at this location and I will not be returning.

I made an eye appointment for my son last week and showed up early today for his appointment to fill out paperwork. I am now more than an hour past my sons appointment time and have yet to see the doctor. No apologies no updates. Nothing. I will not be returning, I made an appointment so I would not have to entertain my autistic son in the waiting room for over an hour.

To be honest I was completely disappointed with my entire experience with Nationwide Vision. I called and made an appointment after verifying through my insurance company that they would accept my insurance plan. When I arrive to my appointment the lady in the front proceeded to tell me that I did not have the option to use my insurance, when in fact I did. She did not take the time to actually look into what plan I had so I decided to call my insurance company while I was at their office. My insurance company was able to verify my coverage and then I was able to see the doctor. After my eye exam I did speak with the doctor directly and gave him a heads up that my finances are very tight at the moment and I wanted to get my eyes relieved in addition to getting my prescription updated. The doctor said that he would work with me on the pricing of my prescription and eyeglass fitting, but since he was not in the office the day of my follow-up visit the lady in the front once again completely disregarded what I said and did not check the notes on my file and charge me full price. I felt almost uncomfortable at my 3rd follow-up visit, but I still showed up because I had already invested close to $200 out of pocket. Once everything was said and done and they given me my prescriptions their attitude change tremendously and their sales face turned on and they smiled and tried to suddenly just go bend over backwards and share with me all of the different Deals they had going on. But prior to that I felt like I was treated terribly, not to mention I felt that the interactions Ive had with the staff would make me not recommend ever going there again.

Wish they had informed me of the wait prior to arrival. Check in was 9am but their tech didn’t even arrive to start exams until 9:30. There were a few other people also waiting and I didn’t see the tech until 10:15. Ive been doing eye exams every year for 20 years, including at this location. Ive never experienced such a long wait.

I have been to several diffront locations and there all not very nice, like the attitiude thay dont care. And u have to cheek everyone of the boxes on the papper work even if it does not aply to u. Or they really cop a sttiued. Sade thing i am forced to go there kuz my inshurance only pays for that place. Plus thay have folce avertisment too. U can not get there deal by 2 pare of glasses for 99 dollers if u have inshrance. Thanks for being roud

I got glasses here less then a year ago they cracked in half and broke while I was wearing them. I went in to get them fixed/ replaced, I thought they had a year warranty on them like every store does and was under the impression they did when I got them, I showed them my glasses and they told me I would have to buy a new pair for $100 (frames only). They do not give you a warranty unless you spend an extra $75 when you get the glasses, I paid a lot of money for two pairs and wasn’t told this at the time. I will never do business with them again. I went to Walmart and got a new pair lenses and frames for half the cost of what they wanted me to pay and it comes with a year warranty!!!!

I normally have no issues with this Location, been pretty happy with the staff (Ladies you know who you are) and my overall Eye Care Needs my Children and I have received from Dr Schoppe and Staff.. However Earlier today I called and spoke to someone new (New to me since i didnt recognize her voice) to ask if they offered a test Im needing to get done (VCS), she placed me on hold and when she returned she said NO, they do not, I asked if the Dr Knew of anyone who may offer that type of Service and or if They offered some sort of Referral to a specialist or if he had any recommendations? before I could finish my sentence , She cut me off and quickly replied NO, we do not. Um okay.. then I was going to schedule an appt with Dr Schoppe to have him check my eyes again since I am still having the same issues, but worse. its been ongoing for a couple months now - Eye irritation/floaters/blurredvision/eyepain/lightsensitivity and a flash or 2. but before I could schedule I asked her what the Drs Name was just to write down and to double check that was who I saw the past few times for my on going issue and to take note of it since I have at least 3 other Doctors I see every other month, also At that moment I was not at home , and I did not have a card on me with the Drs Name on it. .. Then she very rudely asked me WHY?? .... haha Seriously.... SHE JUST CONFIRMED MY IDENTITY AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CALL, MEANING SHE KNEW MY FIRST/LAST NAME, DOB, AND WHY I WAS CALLING. Doesnt matter at that point why, I already explained why. IM ILL AND IM TRYING TO GET MEDICAL CARE FOR MYSELF ! Plus it would be nice to specify certain exams and procedures Ive had done in regards to my currently on going issues with the other Doctors who are helping me Genius. It wouldnt have been a big deal if you hadnt asked why a second time and then continued to argue with me after. Then get bent out of shape when I was Cursing, Which wasnt directed towards you until later in the call but that was AFTER you started arguing back with me- what did you expect. Nice Customer Service by the way. Lastly you shouldnt withhold information pertaining to MY Medical Record, ITS MY RIGHT TO KNOW THE NAME OF THE DOCTOR I HAD SEEN AND HAVE BEEN TREATED BY ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS IN MY MEDICAL RECORD AND WHEN YOU CONFIRMED MY INFO AS A PATIENT AND STILL DONT TELL ME AFTER YOU HANG UP ON ME. like i said RudeA**Wench.

Stay away find another place.I used the online check in for the following week, and was not called back to confirm so I called them back and told that was not available and it would be another week later, I said ok. I arrived 10 minutes early with all paperwork completed online. At 10 minutes after my appointment was suppose to have started they took a family of 3 in for an appointment? Then after they were completed, another person? Then after that the DR went in alone, I quess it was break time, this was about 50 minutes later, I had enough, told them I had to go and they needed to set the APPOINTMENTS better.I will never go back to Nationwide or GEHA.

Worst experience dont come to this office. The Dc. was ok but the staff ladys there, they do not have the experience to attend any patients .no ethic whatsoever they were laughing and making rude comments about a hispanic lady .besides that they schedule my appointment at 8:30am and I was there at 8am and they do not open till 9am.worst of all that they told me I had to wait for my contacts trials between 3 to 5 days .they I called 5 days later they told me that it was not 3 to 5 that it was 7 to 10 days.I called back almost 10 days later and they told me they didnt have them yet. it passed over 2 weeks I was so frustrated about this horrible experience with this location . finally I called again and they put me on hold for about 10 minutes they said they got it the they before I called.and they didnt bother about give me a call .so ok. they got them but they told me I colud not pick them up because I need it to schedule another appointment.so just decided to go straight to the office and I to talked to the mánager there and she got my trials . but still need to set another appointment or they will not give me my contacts prescription.really bad experience..

I waited 2 weeks to get in to see a eye doctor, i set my appointment for 10am and they tell me it was set for 10:15, i never even set my appointment for that time. So 10:30 rolls around i still havent seen a eye doctor. And I hear the lady next to me who arrived bofore me , and i was even 10 minutes early, get up and ask the lady at the front desk why shes been there for 30 minutes and her appointment is at 10am. Horrible. SO EVENTUALLY I get up and ask how long itll be and she tells me theres another person ahead of me. Ive already been sitting in their office for 45 minutes... never again will i go to this office

Just had the worst eye appt experience in my 27 years of life at this location, aside from the actual appt with the Dr. Schoppe, who was super nice and helpful. We were there for 2.5 hours, with the majority of that time spent waiting in the lobby for our appt to start, which happened ONE HOUR after our scheduled time, and waiting around for the front staff to figure out insurance for contacts afterward. Paperwork had already been all done prior to the appt and insurance had already been confirmed two days prior by the office themselves, so why it still took 2.5 hours to get in and out of there is beyond me. We went home being incorrectly charged (waiting for them to refund me now), no contacts or glasses being ordered, and no safety glasses ordered for my husband. Biggest waste of time. Never coming back to this location, based solely on the front staff and outrageous wait times.

Awful front office staff, and Dr Blair did not rx the correct lenses for my daughter and she still could not see after her new prescription was in place.... after notifying them of this mistake they told me the only way I could have her seen again is if I paid out of pocket for a whole new eye exam. Took them into get repaired and the lady broke the arm off in half then she said it was time to get a new pair for $70 total scam and she the one who broke it and said here you go why don’t you just leave horrible business. My dad fixed them in 10 minutes! Ha don’t go to this business

Everything was terrible. First, we waited hours to see the doctor even though we had an appointment. Then the nurse that did the pre-exam was rude to both my son and I. Everyone in/at the front office/desk were awful. They are absolutely put out by any questions or help needed. They didnt explain my insurance coverage or explain how any of it worked for me even though I had told them it was all completely new for us. The glasses are crazy expensive and twice now they havent lasted even weeks into them... that is once you actually get them. Like other people we waited weeks and heard nothing. My 11 year olds glasses had a huge scratch across the front within a week and they dont stay tightened, they are just cheap. If it wasnt for the fact that I didnt get to chose due to insurance I would NEVER have gone back to this place and next time Id rather pay out of pocket than use the insurance and be forced back here.

Bad service, been waiting on a trial pair of contacts for 3 weeks since the doctor gave me an inaccurate low prescription. Went about a week after the first week and was told the trial pair had not came in yet. Called a week later and a lady told me the trial pair had been ready for me to pick up about 2 weeks ago.
