Small store but St Vincent organization is important in helping the community. If we buy or donate it helps less fortunate neighbors.
I love this place! I have found plenty of gems, it is just down the street, almost always the prices are affordable for me, the staff is always kind and courteous, and their rewards program is great.I appreciate this thrift store so much, I hope it never closes. :)
This is a great second hand store that carries a mixture of items from furniture to home goods. Their prices are very good. I enjoy coming here they have new items daily and you never know what gems you will find. Plus they help out the local Phoenix area community cant beat that.
I used to volunteer at this place and the experience was great! Alex, who is the manager there had a great attitude and was kind to customers. He often lowered prices for them. Margaret, the lady who looks after the store has a great attitude and lively spirit. Sometimes she’s on the grouchy side, but she still tries her best.
Staff super nice and helpful! Store feels dingy. Lots of furniture and mattresses. The clothing racks were pretty empty, at least for womens and kids clothes, and what was there was not in good shape. Some things were overpriced and some werent so bad. I would still rather support this store than Goodwill.
The audacity of this establishment is quite laughable. I have a queen size mattress and box spring that I am looking to DONATE! I have been referred to this establishment through thrive az whom I was referred to by Ellen’s hope chest. I believe in donating to those in need and have tried to seek out a non profit organization to donate a bed in good condition! Only to be told by “Saint” Vincent De Paul that I was going to have to pay THEM $10 for the mattress and $10 for the box spring to be DONATED?! I am insulted to say the least. Sounds like this “church” scam ran organization would rather have a bed end up in a landfill than in a needy families home. Please be weary of those you blindly donate your money to. These people are not doing this out of the kindness of their hearts but rather for the money clearly.Making DAMN sure this bed ends up in a home now, no thanks to Vincent De Paul.
This is one of my favorite thrift stores to visit. Staff are great and they always keep it clean and organized.
The Manger there takes what every he wants. Even though its for the community. I will not be donating there again until this Manger Problems is solved.
The good folks at this location have very noticeably been working hard to make sure customers have a good experience here. The store is clean and well stocked with an assortment of goods. From bizarre and interesting to vital essentials and everything in between, I cant think of anything this place doesnt have (when compared with other stores in the same genre). Additionally, the staff, whether theyre volunteers or paid employees, I dont know, but I do know that theyre very friendly and helpful. This store has worked hard to become a great place, which shows how much they care about what theyre doing. It used to be a trivial aspect to businesses, but these days, it seems like a novelty.Lastly, the place may look somewhat small from the outside, but once in its clear that its a whole lot bigger than it looks! Great place to spend some time and a little cash!
I love this place. I questioned if I should give it a good review because its one of those secrets you want to keep to yourself. I live pretty close and try and look around 2 to 3 times a week. Like a lot of thrift stores some days a so-so some days are good but every now and then its amazing. My favorite thrift store by far great prices!
Advertising closes at 4pm on Sundays... came 15 min before to take a quick look. As soon as I got to open the door was told that you’re closed. That’s ok. I’ll take my money elsewhere. Don’t advertise closing time if you aren’t going to follow it.
Great items, kind staff, always getting new things
Great customer service! I love these people
Theres not a lot of selection. They dont check cd and DVD cases to be sure the correct disk is in it or if there even is one at all! And I dont mean to offend, but not one single employee is under 55. Mesas branch really is the red-headed stepchild of the St. Vincent de Paul organization.
Clothes are highly priced, miscellaneous items to expensive. The lady that oversees this store is very rude has a terrible attitude to customers! Tried to refuse my service animal who was wearing seizure alert gear, you ask why I go back they have nice furniture that is the only good thing about this store, point blank period. Who ever she answers to besides God , because she isnt very godly should secret shop this store seriously .I watch her give remarkably lower prices to Hispanic families and charged 3 white families full price even when it was plain they needed a discount more!!! Shame on the back none of the church members that just overlook her behavior.
I stopped by with some donations and the staff was kind, helpful and friendly. This organization does a lot of local good. The money from their store helps support their charity as a whole. This is a great alternative to Goodwill for someone who wants to make more of a difference. The store seems clean and well stocked.
I came in at 5:45 P. M. and was told immediately that they were closing in five minutes. I was ready to buy some furniture but if they are going to close ten minutes. I guess leaving early is more important than running a business. I wont give them my busines , heading over to Goodwill or Salvation Army.
Good prices. Friendly staff. I found a couple treats and a couple things that made me question it all, but overall I would recommend it to thrifty friends. It didnt smell like a thrift store it seemed clean by comparison.
I used to volunteer here every Thursday morning and I can say from working with the employees and working with the managers that this place is really great! Alex, the manager, is tried to be fair with the prices and if he has a customer that feels otherwise he will personally work them and negotiate a price! The employees are great and friendly as well and have great people skills
I have been here 3 times to donate several boxes of clothes, and even though the web site said it was open, it was closed, closed today Saturday at 12; 20
I love taking donations and while am there I look around and I’ve found goodies !! Let’s help the poor In by Donating Donating!!!!!
How is anyone going to give a bad review to a charity? Most of the employees are volunteers for the church. Dont complain about customer service when you are dealing with volunteers; have some manners. You can find some great bargains in here. I like to sort through the old records for $1 per. I stop in here weekly to see if I can find any buried treasure.
Just moved and was given a gift card. Took it this location today finally. The staff went out of their way multiple times. Was shocked to find out that everything was 40% off today. Cant believe how Much I got for $25!!! Without a doubt Ill be back. Check em out.
The best thrift store in the valley. They are very helpful and kind. I have been going to this store since I was a child with my grandma. Nothing has changed and thats the way it should be. Keep up the good work.
Good thrift store. Some things overpriced just like any other thrift store but more reasonable than most. Most shirts are $2-3. Dresses $3. There is always a half off colored tag of the week sale. They have a little of everything.
Very friendly staff !! No fitting rooms so that sucks . Overall they sell older stuff so if you like that then this is the place for you ! Could be a real win on a treasure hunt!
Not a bad, small thrift store. Has furniture, clothes / kitchen stuff and various knicknacks. Prices seem good.
Terrible experience! Was there a month or so ago looking at the furniture pieces and was made to feel like a thief. All I wanted to do was browse, and was asked by at least three employees if I needed any help, all in a very rude and raised eye tone, and was actually followed around by one of these people as if I was going to walk out with a couch or something! Note to these people - dont stare at the customers as theyre browsing! Then as Im walking out I get to hear the carnival barking of a guy selling cookies and baked goods. I politely said no thank you, and he just doesnt stop loudly asking as if he was trying to embarrass me into buying his stupid cookies. Again, TERRIBLE experience! I wont be going back.
This used to be one of my favorite places but now they have gotten all corporatized and prices have gone up. Not coming back here for their spotty collection of mens clothes and overpriced disgusting furniture. Sales are bad and prices have doubled. 3 dollars for a t shirt used to be a dollar etc. Another example of a thrift store turning into a boutique (I hate that word)
GREATFUL FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK HEALTHY SMILES N KINDNESS I WOULD RECOMMEND. SHPPOING HERE TO ANYONE...THANK YOU I ENJOY YOUR STORES
There are a lot of interesting and useful things at a good price ...
Awesome. They had buy on get two free on clothes and we got the kids costumes last minute when we were not gonna go trick or treating because of no costumes..
What a great place. I had two needs for some used goods. They had both and it was on sale Saturday......So kind staff and good used stuff.Gracias.
Their sale are crazy good. Up to 60% off. For me the clothes arent why to shop here, but furniture, videos, and misc items are. Then call to check current sales. Staff is a little salty, so dont be sensitive.
Love this place! Very nice and helpful people 😊
Old hag who works the counter was rude. Ok, I get it. You volunteer. You don’t get paid. You’re dying. Whatever. But there’s no reason you put customers who are ready to check out on hold so you can work on your side projects. This isn’t a big deal for me normally but her unfriendly attitude just made for an unpleasant shopping experience.
This is a great trhift shop that has good prices and selection. Not like Goodwill that are usually full of broken stuff.
They help out the homeless by letting them do a little work in exchange for a clean change of clothes, which is pretty awesome! Also they always have an awesome sale on books and I LOVE TO READ!!!
Luv this place good prices, friendly staff and great stock
Clean and nice helpful staff..half off today Friday 3/9
Im very happy with my purchase got a great deal the staff was very helpful I look forward to going back again
I found some great bargains there.Love this place.
My family and I volunteer here every holiday season. We live to give back
Try to drop off some items and then after you unload they decide they dont want them. Waste of my time.
No selection.... 50% off orange tag is great, but used items should not be priced so high, ESPECIALLY THE FURNITURE. OLDER WOMAN WANTED TO PRICE A USED PATIO SET AT $150. You might as well go to Walmart and get it brand new
This clerk were rude threatened me after I asked a question about making a purchase regarding the sales promotion price. The cashier I took a picture of were really on edge and had a argumentative spirit so un-christlike. The clerk threatened to call the cops on me because I told her she did not have to talk to me like that. This is the face and voice of their business . Rude ...Dont spend your money at this store with cashier like this calling the shots. For management or donors this clerk were providing cheaper prices for the Mexican national woman who happen to be in front of me in the line. She were hooking her up in spanish which is dishonest but true. I will never spend my hard earned money at this store when I am treated like this. Simply rude and not very God like considering it were a volunteer.
What can I say, I have gotten great educational books, clothes and toys at unbeatable price! My favorite spot to go!
This place got everything you need I recommend visiting it
Staff was rude, they talk down to you. I didnt feel very welcomed
Not a lot of things that I would normally buy so the stuff looks like its been there a long time
Seems to be getting less and less stuff inside. Wondering if they’re getting ready to close or what?? I sure hope not cause it’s my fav.thrift store around! - Fingers Crossed!🤞🏼
I bought a DVD player and get it home and it didnt work called and they would give me my money back
Bad experience .this older lady that works shes short gray hair .I asked her a question she walked away from me. I asked again and she rudely said she didnt know.I will not shop her again.she follows people around.
I visited thinking I could get furniture at a super discounted price. As soon as I walked in, I was told the store was closing early for security purposes. I saw the price of the furniture and turned around to leave. If Im going to spend over $100 for a table, I might as well buy something new.
Friendly staff. Always willing to help the community
This place has almost nothing to choose from and when you get lucky enough to find something the price is no bueno
