After SimonMed cancelling my appointment twice and having a bad experience the last time I was there, the staff at SimonMed - Baywood during this appointment were much better. Receptionists very friendly and helpful. Tech very personable. But I dont understand why it takes 3-5 days to get results to a doctor though. Other imaging places (SMIL and Banner Imaging) have a much faster response time. It takes 4-5 days to get insurance approval -- a couple more days to schedule the exam -- then 3-5 more days for results. Just seems like it could be done quicker.....People are sent for imaging because there is a potential medical problem. Taking 2 weeks for results isnt ok. Do doctors have to put a STAT on every order to get results in a more timely manner?

The staff at Simon med were both courteous and professional they got me in and out quickly and did their best to make it as comfortable as possible, had I been able to do all three screenings in one visit I would have given them 5 stars, but thier x-ray tech was not in the office and I was told Id have a 2 hour wait, so unfortunately I have to go back for my chest x-ray and that was disappointing, so they only got 4 stars this time, but my over all visit was easy and quite pleasant concidering.

The tech that took the X-ray was very nice and seemed to have a lot of experience in what she was doing. But I had to wait over 3 hours in the waiting room as X-ray is a walk in. They told me a 2 hour wait The lady I sat next to waited over 2 hours. You would think they would make appointments for X-rays. I tried another Simon Med first and they told me there was a two hour wait. My doctors office said I was to go to Simon Med.

Ive had over 20 MRIs without problems... When I came into Simon Med last week the technician said I kept moving.I never moved before. But had to go back to my Dr and get sedation meds for a simple 35 minute scan.I felt lousy the rest of the day. I hope I dont have to have any MRIs in the near future. Two days later, caffeine isnt revving me back up.People were nice as always but experience not good medicated. S Centoz

This location is great people are friendly and they get you in quickly. The problem is that you’re a Apache Junction location. They can’t get the appointments correct so good luck with getting an x-ray where you can’t make an appointment 10 people on the waiting room and they tell you have got a two hour wait that’s crazy.

Techs were very competent and courteous. My only complaint is that upon arrival for x-ray, which you cannot make an appt. for, I asked how long it might be. I understand that the gal at the desk really doesnt know, however she certainly should know the difference between a half hour and 2 hrs. There were only 4 people ahead of me and my turn only took 6 minutes. Go figure. So if youre in a hurry, good luck.

Reception was rude. made no eye contact.. I was ignored for quite awhile while the girl carried on a conversation on speaker phone, giggling. Waited over 2 hrs in pain waiting for xray I was told could not make appt for.. Then a woman who came in 20 min after me was taken back. I was the last one in the waiting room. I objected and no appropriate response was given. I walked out. Returned to different location next day. Said it required a copay. Had to put it on credit card.. I pay a high premium to avoid paying co-pays but waited only 20 minutes before xray. This first girl has poor communication skills, poor people skills and shouldnt be in a customer service position. Will not be returning to Simon Med.

The front receptionist was unbelievable. Extremely rude to me and my husband. Also rude to the elderly patients. When she was asked a question she would roll her eyes and act like she was irritated with everyone there. I was sent to Simon Med. By my primary physician in August, I had an appointment for a digestive tracking image, being from out of town, we rented a hotel room on Sunday, my appointment being on Monday, to make sure we were ready, I received a call Friday afternoon telling me that my insurance did not authorize the test. We called our insurance to understand why this was not authorized because it is covered, the insurance had no record of Simon Med putting it through. We then called Simon Med. And spoke to a gentlemen that confirmed that they did not send the paperwork to the insurance. When you are in constant pain and unable to eat, then have to wait another month to receive a test, not only is this highly unprofessional, but I have requested to get imaging done from a different facility. I have to add, the tech that did the image was a wonderful woman, very sweet and professional in her job.

Absolutely love the care and special attention they give to their patients. Had some special requests and they were extremely receptive to them and even went above and beyond my expectations. The front desk staff, Taiz, and the MRI Tech, Suki, had the patience of Job (the ability to remain patient and to do what you think you should do despite having many problems.)I cant tell you how much this helped our time of need, but I tried. 💘

I tried scheduling a Mri since 6/2021. It was so frustrating because I scheduled at least 3 times over a months time and each time it got cancelled . It got cancelled because they said I needed prior authorization, I called me one who said I did not need it. Then it got cancelled because they couldn’t find my order, supposedly there were to charts for me. Then it got cancelled because a machine broke, at this point I was over it. So I didn’t try and schedule again until September 2021. This time was a success, but the tech was very short and not personable. Overall there was a lot of miscommunication which I didn’t care for. I have 2 stars because the Mri began the rest of the process went smoothly

The individuals at the front desk at SimonMed are unfortunately very inattentive and unpleasant. Ican honestly say that the front desk staff are worse than what you’d encounter at the VA. That’s saying something. I watched countless patients walk in to SimonMed yesterday and stand at the front desk without even being acknowledged. The walk-in concept for an x-ray is terrible. Especially for older individuals that rely on transportation. I waited an hour and 20 minutes for my x-ray after spending all day at doctor appointments. It’s a very poor experience for patients, especially when in pain, we do not want to be sitting around waiting for that long. The techs are always great but the approach Simon Med uses needs work.

Late evening hours to accommodate the schedule was very convenient. The front office receptionist was very friendly and the technician that did my MRI made me feel comfortable even though I get claustrophobic with the MRI machine. Highly recommend this facility and their staff.

Checked in early to fill out paperwork, didnt even finish filling out papers and got called in by the technologist that did my exam who was very nice by the way...she was very efficient. Thank you. The young lady at the front desk at the Banner Baywood location should not be working with the public. She’s the first impression of your company and not a good one. Very unfriendly and mumbles through her mask. Not welcoming and speaks in a condescending manner to patients. There are happier bilingual people out there who need employment.The rest of the staff is great!

I received a call to call them back and schedule an appointment because they received my orders. I stayed on hold for an hour twice and finally gave up and scheduled online. When they called to confirm, they couldn’t find my orders in the system. Very confusing. Then without asking, they changed my scheduled time two hours earlier so I had to change my schedule one day prior to the appointment. On the day of service, the front desk person definitely wasn’t thrilled to be there. Thank goodness, the MRI Technician was excellent!

I went online and scheduled an appointment for my son to get an X-ray of his foot. When I showed up to the appointment I was told that they didn’t accept appointments for X-rays and it’s a first come, first serve basis and they didn’t know how I was able to make an appointment online for it. There were 3 other people that came in after me and had the same situation but nobody that worked there seemed to really care or make it known that they are looking into it and it will be fixed. When you make an appointment for something you usually arrange your day around the appointment (need to leave work early or go in late). It was really frustrating. This really needs to get fixed. Front desk ladies were not professional (one was in yoga pants) and the place just looked dirty. The X-ray lady was awesome though!

The woman who did my test was wonderful. She answered every question I had, even the stupid ones. Never having an MRI before and having 2 titanium hips I was scared and worried the machine would damage them. She took the time to explain how the machine worked. She helped me get into the machine.I would not have had the test if she had not taken the time to explain every step of the way. She was wonderful.😊

My experience with my tech was fabulous. She was efficient, explained the process, and was on time. Id give her 5 stars. The girl who checked me in wasnt overly friendly and was listening to something via earpod instead of me. The other lady at the front made my blood boil. She was so rude to an elderly woman in need of assistance with her paperwork... I heard her say its not easy for us to do our job and yours so next time bring someone with you to do your paperwork! Her behavior was offensive and disgusting. I would not go back to this location again.

I needed an MRI stat and they called me to set up an appointment. I showed up 20 mins early and checked in. After over an hour of them telling me to wait they told me that we had now missed my window and they needed to reschedule me. While I was sitting there I watched 3 other people come in and leave angry without getting into their appointment. So now instead of getting my MRI stat like the doctor ordered I have to reschedule with a different company to hopefully get in asap. They tried to make me feel like it was my fault at the end. Terrible experience.

Although the tech doing my ultrasound today was awesome, once again the check in process was a nightmare. Had received two messages reminding me to check in online, yet when I clicked on the link in the message, I got errors that I had no scheduled appointments to check into. Also tried calling when I arrived( again from a reminder text from them), but the phone rang at least a dozen times before I gave up. Walked into a “standing room only” waiting room (no way to distance), computer network was down or unstable, and even though I had an appointment, I had to wait to check in behind all the walk-ins ahead of me. Seems to be the norm for this provider no matter what office I go to.. UHC needs a bigger, better network.

This location is poorly maintained. The worn furniture, lack of decorating, tacky signs on the wall instructing patients not to move chairs, and the indifference to surliness of the staff made this visit for me a one-star experience. It also suggests that the mammography technology and radiologists may be lacking in quality.

Super easy and quick check in. I like that I was able to take care of all the forms and insurance stuff online before my appointment. Got my procedures done quickly, techs were really kind, especially considering the sensitivity of what I needed to have done. The whole process was much less stressful than I had expected.

The representative at the front desk was so professional yet had a very soft touch in dealing with all those checking in. I so appreciated that. The two technicians performing both the mammogram and the bone density test were very professional. Both were considerate of my feelings and made me feel comfortable. That I appreciated. Very rarely am I treated in such a way that I feel good leaving the facility.

Check in procedure was chaos. I was unable to check-in via the app as they requested and after standing in line for 30 minutes, was told by the office personnel that I was not the only one who has had difficulty with the process. However, once I was checked in, since I had an appointment, and was now 30 minutes past the appointment time, it only took 10 minutes to be called back. The mammography tech was EXCELLENT, just the check in was AWFUL.

Given an appointment time for 11:45 on a three way call with One Call. 2 hours later someone calls from scheduling and wants insurance info and approving Dr name. I explained to her that she already had that. She finds the info and the tells me that my appointment is at 12:15. I show up and the front desk girl tells me that my appointment is at 1pm. No apology, look of zero concern, just says have a seat. I wasn’t called back until 1:55pm. The woman that had a MRI appointment at 1:30 was taken before me.Waiting room seemed nice. The rest of the facility is absolutely filthy. Floors are disgusting, I sat in what seemed to be an employee chair that was full of food stains. The whole place needs a deep scrub.

I arrived at the proper time, there were no cars, the sign on the door said 8-5, my appointment was for 6:45. I could see no light inside, I have difficulty walking so I did not try the door. I called the number for Simon Med knowing it generally takes 20-45 minutes to get thru, drove back to my house. I was not feeling well and just wanted to lay down. 6:45 is fairly late, I am not well- obviously. I was told to drive back try the door. My MRI took half an hour or more. It was dark when I left. With night blindness and feeling ill, I wasn’t happy about the drive home . Staff was nice but the total experience was not. And incidentally, that building is not 130. It could have been a better experience.

They were busy at the late hour of the day when I was there for a 2 view chest xray. The lobby full of people waiting. We watched as person after person took their turn to go for service. My turn eventually came. I was in and out of the xray room within 10 minutes. The wait really wasn’t that long. The staff was friendly and a well oiled machine. Happy.

As a walk in for X-ray on back I was told there would be a one hour wait which reasonable but two hours later I left as it all seemed so unorganized starting with front desk . I became uncomfortable as not all had on masks coming in until getting one at desk. There was absolutely NO social distancing.

On-site registration is tedious and repetitive but on-site service is prompt and efficient. I recommend skipping the pre-appointment on-line check-in since they ask you to arrive 15 minutes early to complete the same process on site.

Just needed an X-ray…no appointment for that, great. The business opens at 7 am so I assumed that was the time I could come in for an X-ray also. Wrong…the website needs to be clearer on that and that the time varies at different offices. Getting the actual X-ray was great…and the staff, both intake and techs, couldn’t have been nicer. BEWARE!!! Worst experience ever trying to get simple xrays. My insurance company, BCBS, advised me my insurance would cover the xrays 100%.The first office I went to quoted me over $400 or $150 cash! She had no explanation why. I checked with my insurance company again. They assured me it was no charge and called Simonmed to advise them. I was sent to another SimonMed office because now it was too late for them to take my xrays.. The next office quoted me $65 with my insurance!??? I said it should be no charge. She couldnt explain why the different quotes, but she offered to bill insurance company without collecting any $$ at this time, which I had to agree to or no xrays. Fingers crossed. I will NEVER choose SimonMed again!!!

Call center calls daily to get you in, tells you you can make an appt, then you get there and are told you dont have an appt. You have to wait in line. Wait time on website says 30min- 1hr..? The MRI tech was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The MRI was open on both ends, but didn’t help my claustrophobia except for going in. Once I was in the tunnel, it seemed to be the same amount of space between me and the top of the machine. I closed my eyes and kept thinking, “Blue sky above me”, and picturing that in my mind over and over, to get through. That really helped. I also just wanted to get it over with. I was glad they were open on Saturday as well! The tech was very understanding and accommodating. He placed a pillow under my legs which really helped my back since it is hard to lie flat on my back.

I give up on their system. I showed up for an appt and it said my form was not complete. I fill all appropriate forms out the day before but it still said something was missing. I couldn’t find it. I scheduled an appointment online for an x-ray at 10:00 a.m. No problem. When I arrived, was told that x-rays are on a walk-in basis and that there would be a 1 1/2 hour wait. Sitting here for an hour and waiting. Patients walking in now are being told there will be a 3-hour wait! Never have I experienced such inefficiency in a medical facility.

I’m not sure what the problem is, but SimonMed could not find my doctors orders after having them sent three or four times. After several calls to make an appointment, I was told x-rays were walk in only. Why are they not scheduled appointments? On Tuesday, I went to Baywood location. I was told there was a 45 min wait for x-rays. I was encouraged to drive to the Southern location where they could get me in faster. I drive to that location. After waiting 90 minutes with no assurance I would be getting in soon, I left. I believe customers would be better served if they would simply schedule all appointments. I returned early on Wednesday, arriving shortly after 8:00 AM. Waited an hour before I was seen for x-Rays. I have nothing but positive feedback about the staff, friendly and professional. However the way patients are seen needs to be changed. Give everyone an appointment!

Not very happy with the whole experience this time. I was enquiring if I should do something to fasten the check in process, as my appointment time was less than 5 min away. The receptionists treated me as if I was asking to jump the line.They did not do a good job reporting the results. They reported one of the test results as baseline, where as I had that test done.couple of times before with them. They should have provided comparison with previous test(s). I called couple of days before my doctor appt. and asked about it. The employee said, she will ask for the comparison report to be made. I mentioned about my doctor appt. and asked if the result will be ready before it, so my doctor can discuss it with me. She said they will be. But, they were not. My doctor’s office had to request for it after my visit. I hope they got around doing itOn their website, I could not find many of my previous test results.

Online registration for appointment was not user friendly. I could not check in from the parking lot because I was not able to add my insurance card and i.d. ahead of timeI had a medical issue after leaving the facility. There is not a way to speak to a person by phone to ask about what to do. Even pressing 0 on the phone menu takes you to another recording that refers you back to the website.

My doc sent me there for a chest xray assuring me that they give xrays to people who have COVID.I had COVID which I disclosed the moment I got there. I was masked. The receptionist scooted back in her chair screeching I cant catch COVID. Refused to treat me. Went to Banner Imaging who were so nice and respectful with obvious protocols in place. I arrived 15 minutes early as directed, filled out a couple of forms that took less than 5 minutes and within 5 minutes, I was brought into the scanning room. The whole Cat Scan procedure was painless, comfortable and took about 5 minutes. The technician was friendly and very professional. I was in and out of the office in less than 15 minutes. Highly recommended.

Twice I had an appointment for a bone density and twice when I arrived for my appointment I was told I was not on schedule. I made the appointment on line the first time. But they said it wasnt in the computer! So the receptionist made my second appointment. When I showed up I was told it was cancelled!! By this time I was upset. I had to wait to be worked in. Id give zero stars if possible. First, my doctors office had to send the referral 3 times for them to get it. Second, when I called to schedule my appointment they said my appointment was at 9:30, no problems there until I got onto my patient portal I noticed that it was 9:30 PM. I thought this was weird so I called and verified the time with the scheduler and he confirmed it was correct (even though the site says they close at 5:00 PM). I asked for the number to the actual office so I could hear it from them and again they confirmed that 9:30 PM at night was correct and they stay open until 10:00 PM. I got confirmation emails and text messages that said 9:30 PM. Third, they called me at 6:00 PM the day of the appointment to say my insurance isnt accepted and I would have to pay out of pocket, I agreed to pay it. Forth, I showed up at the office at 9:10 PM and guess what? NO ONE WAS THERE!!! Last, I logged onto my patient portal and suddenly it says my appointment was at 8:15 PM. I got no call or notice about a change of time! Its painfully clear they do not care about their patients.

I didn’t have an appointment so the wait time was lengthy; approximately 2 hours. But the staff was pleasant. I found the facility to be somewhat dingy, though. It could do with some refreshing. Would I go there again? Probably would choose a different one because of the ghetto atmosphere.

Both receptionist and technician were courteous and friendly. I had a late 8:30 pm appointment but I was able to get there 2 hours early due to a cancellation. Overall a good experience!

Scheduling was a real problem - t99k over 20 minutes to get a real person. When I finally connected the woman did not seem to know the job, asked same questions over and over, and then dropped the call. The next person was straightforward and got it done (after another twenty minute wait to get through.) I attempted to schedule online first. Put in all my info then informed that there were questions and I needed to schedule online. They seemed to have lost my first doctor’s orders, so I had to have second one faxed, then my doc’s office had to confirm receipt by phone.Everything related to scheduling was a mess. The techs are very good, but I was tempted y try o ask for a referral elsewhere while stuck in the scheduling loop.

We had a terrible time scheduling two MRI - for me and my wife. Original appointments were “lost”. We were told tests had been approved only to learn at the last minute they were not, causing another reschedule. At my MRI, I waited over 2 hours to get in. As we sat in the waiting room, it was obvious we were not alone in our frustrations, as at least 3 people had scheduling issues and became vocal in the waiting room. The people doing the MRIs were professional and competent, but over all it was a frustrating process. Scheduling seemed to be “centralized” in another state and communication seems to have been terrible between schedulers, treatment sites, insurance and doctors. We will not use SimonMED again, if we can help it. 😕

Very professional and on time service. I was there for my annual mammogram. The staff and the clinician were professional and timely! This is my second visit, and I will return!
