I wasnt too happy to get my 4th root canal but was quickly shown I was in good hands. Dr. Hardy had wonderful bedside manners and his assistants were caring, gentle, and informative. I got a call the next day to make sure Im feeling well. I like how they make me feel, not a number but a truly appreciated client. Much better service then my last 3 canals in CA. If you find yourself needing a Root Canal, this is the best place to be.

I would recommend for serious dental work. I basically had an abscess root canal & I feel like the Dr & dental assistant were very thorough & efficient.It took forever to heal but nonetheless they got the job done. Unfortunately, I dont remember the Dr name but he was like this hip older guy who was friendly & comforting throughout the process.The only disappointment (& hence 3 stars) is that this office doesnt seem very diversified, with only men as DRs, all female assistants & no apparent minority employees, from what I saw during my visits. Kinda made me reluctant to have gone here in the end but this is where my dentist referred me.Other than lack of diversity in 2021, if you require some serious dental work & dont have the time to find another DR, Id recommend.If you enjoyed this review or found it helpful, PLEASE, give it a LIKE!

I just had my first ever root canal done, and I couldn’t be HAPPIER with how my experience went! The ladies at the front are extremely kind and very welcoming. I could tell that the nurse that took me back could sense my dental anxiety (haha) and made me feel totally comfortable. She even let me hold her hand as much as I needed lol! Dr. Baker did my root canal. He was very explanatory, and even better, his calm demeanor completely eased my nerves. He talked to me and walked me through the entire process, and I felt totally safe and relaxed the entire time. I will forever recommend anyone who needs a root canal to come here! I was really nervous about getting a root canal and wanted to take my chances with not getting it done. But Dr Barnes and his assistant Candice were amazing. They told me exactly what would happened, and made sure it didn’t hurt at all. It was a super quick process. And they were very gentle. The best part is I can finally chew on the other side without pain in my temporary crown!!!! . Thank y’all!!!

Dr. Barnes and his assistant Ruthie were AMAZING. He really got to the ROOT of my problem (😜). All jokes aside he found what was going on with the horrible tooth pain. He put my mind and tooth pain at ease. He was super gentle and probably the best shot giver (I didn’t even feel it!) I flew in from another state because he came recommended that high. Thank you for fixing my tooth and making it such a calm environment/experience.

The staff and Dr Barnes were fantastic. They were very friendly and explained everything that was going on. The dental assistant was pleasant and made my experience that much better, as I was a bit nervous. They also called the next day to check and see how I was doing! I saw Dr. Nathan Baker for an exam and re-treat root canal. His upbeat attitude and clear, thorough communication totally turned my mood around in continuing to deal with a situation Id been regularly irritated by. Everyone else there was also really friendly. The wait time for my first appointment was really long, but I imagine that means the doctors are taking their time with their patients which is respectable. Oh, and Dr. Baker did great work - Im so glad to have my issue resolved!

I saw Dr. Barnes the other day for my first root canal. He and his office staff were friendly and professional. I felt like every step of the process was explained thoroughly, which helped put me at ease. The office is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Barnes.

I took my daughter to Dr. Barnes to fix a couple teeth. He was very patient with her nerves and explained everything he was going to do to her before he did it. He did a great job! His assistant was very helpful and sweet with my daughter. The office was nice and clean. And the staff I met were happy and friendly. I would go back again.

I cannot say enough kind words about this office and Dr. Barnes. I came in with horrible pain in my teeth and a fear of the dentist. Everyone treated me so gently and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Thank you for fixing my teeth quickly and as pain free as possible. I had a root canal in January. The procedure and the doctor itself were fine. The front office staff and the office manager were not. I was asked when leaving if I wanted them to submit the claim to my insurance. I was told if the check went to them and not me they would forward it. I was never told that one of the things I signed gave the insurance company permission to directly pay them. Not reading what I signed was my mistake. After some research by my husband we discovered that they were not paid the full amount by the insurance company because they had not submitted some of the proper paperwork that the insurance company required. The office manager refused to speak to the doctor(s) about paying us the rest of the amount that was owed to us since it was their paperwork error that caused the shortage. And if I would have submitted the claim myself we would have received the full amount. I am very frustrated and will never go to or recommend this practice to anyone since they don’t seem to care about resolving their issue and giving us the money that is owed to us. I have seriously been thinking about filing a claim in small claims court.

I was referred here by my dentist in spite of my telling him I had no pain. I merely needed a crown. Yet my dentist insisted I come here to Apex. Again upon being seen I told Dr Barnes I had no pain and I told him if I didn’t need a root canal please do not perform one. Yet, he did one anyway and when I returned to Sierra Family Dentistry in Chandler and told them now my tooth was very sore, they told me they couldn’t do my crown and I have to go back to Apex. This experience has been a nightmare. It had cost me money, pain and suffering, all of which was completely unnecessary. Apex and Sierra Dentistry have a real racket going on performing unnecessary procedures. I went in to Sierra to get a crown out on which I had been told by my last dentist was all I needed. Yet due to the distance I would have had to drive I decided to go to Sierra Dentists which is closer to my home. I have wasted so much time and money because of these two corrupt offices. Unless you wish to waste money and time and experience unnecessary pain I would steer clear from this pace. You will not get an honest diagnosis. You will get one that serves their pockets only.

Dental assistants and the Dentist were both very helpful and I feel gave me the truth about which procedure I should have done. The dentist also explained which procedure my insurance company would pay more for which leave me paying less out of my own pocket... even though it was at a different dentist!

Dr. Mortensen and staff were so amazing! My daughters root canal took all of 20 mins from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this specialist if you need a root canal they serve children and adults. Very pleased with the service received.

Great work, I had gums that wouldn’t stop bleeding and were swollen, dentist recommended here and he was able to find the problem. Haven’t had bleeding/swollen gums since! I Highly recommend apex in mesa to anyone for any root issue!

I was able to get a same-day appointment which was amazing because I was in so much pain and now I am pain free. If I ever need another root canal again I will definitely go back here! They have my business for life. The front office lady Delena is so sweet and pleasant and helped calm my nerves, she asked I was comfortable and offered me a blanket to make sure I was warm. My assistant Jessica was wonderful and caring, very gentle!!! Dr.Mortenson was great! He took his time and explained everything. He even asked me multiple times throughout my root canal if I was doing okay. When I checked out the lady in the back Lorena was very kind and worked with my schedule to get my next appointment. To make things even better they called me the next day to see how I was doing. What great service what kind caring and compassionate people they have working there.

Amazing staff, professional and great at what they do. As horrible and stressful as a root canal can be, I even had a panic attack as this was my first time having one, and they were so patient and understanding. Best experience you could possibly have getting something so unpleasant done. Dr. Baker did a perfect job.

My wife was referred to Apex by her regular dentist. At Apex Endodontics (Mesa office – David Mortenson) they performed Pulp vitality test, X-rays, limited oral evaluation, started endo therapy and stopped because of her tooth decay. They caused her a lot of pain, didn’t finish their job, and charged her for ‘Incomplete endo therapy’. They promote their business as ‘The Root Canal Specialists’, but although they had relevant X-rays, Pulp vitality test,… their approach to her root canal issue was ‘Trial and Error’. It is really shame for ‘Root Canal Specialists’?! And besides causing a lot pain they charged her for this ridiculous game – experimenting on her tooth!

I highly recommend calling Apex Endodontics.I like going to their office. They give great service!
