Dr. Salmon has been great! He goes above and beyond for me. I feel like he truly cares. He is professional, very knowledgeable and explains things to me so that I can understand them. I also recommended him to my elderly friend, Linda, who needed an extensive surgery procedure done on her uterus. She had such a great experience that she wrote a letter to the hospital to express deep thanks for his professionalism and ability to perform her surgery so flawlessly (that she was afraid she would die from!) and she went on to let them know what a great Dr. he is! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new urologist!

My husband had this procedure in Show Low and be aware this procedure is painful and the bedside manner of Dr. Scott Salmon II is fairly unsupportive. The paperwork says to call if there are issues, but no contact info is included. Your call to the Summit switchboard may never reach the intended doctor. If you get an infection from the biopsy, the only option Salmon offers is to go to ER. No antibiotics were offered while we waited 1.5 days for a response to our calls while my husband experienced pain and had a 102.9 fever from the infection. However, we received a call within 2 hours when we posted a negative review on google. Learn about causes of infections in health facilities and confirm procedures are followed. Decide if you are ok with being exposed to Covid and other infections by going to ER. Plan ahead.

I came here for a vasectomy a few years ago. I was looking up Dr Salmons info so I could refer a friend to him. Thought I would write a review.I thought the whole experience was very good. Had a consultation at first and then scheduled for the procedure about a week later. The facility is very new and nice. The office staff was very nice and friendly and great to work with on scheduling and the payments, etc. the procedure was extremely easy and everything went very good. My recovery went very good as well.So all in all, I thought the entire experience was great. Obviously, this is a once in a lifetime thing to do so I cant compare it to anyone else. But, Ive been to plenty of doctors over the years for various things and this was a very well run place and Dr. Salmon was great to have. Easy 5 stars.

I was treated by Dr. Salmon in Feb 2017. I am posting this in Sept 2018 as I just had to look up Dr Salmons information to apply for new health Insurance.......much like the guy in the first review. While Health situations are never pleasant, I found my anxiety declined as my first visit progressed. Dr Salmon was very Professional and laid out the options and his recommendation. We had a death in the family and so I had to delay my surgery by a couple of weeks which was accommodated. The Dr. did a nice job on my surgery and recovery was as he described. I was impressed with the staff and their efficiency and friendly manner. As far as time in the office, I was able to get into my initial consult and follow up appointments with just a few minutes wait. Dr Salmon is very focused ....not a Doctor that does a lot of chit chat, but I took great comfort in his knowledge and experience.

First of all, let me explain I AM NOT ON MEDICARE! My wife was promoted to Phoenix. I was allowed to work from our new home.4 weeks ago, I began to ache all over, severe joint pain, and then really slow and painful, urinary stream. Ended up in an urgent care one evening since I could hardly move. Although they told me my urinalysis came back clear, they suggested a specialist. So, over the weekend (with Cipro in hand) I started looking on the web. I chose Southwest since it looked like their reviews and one Dr. had half way decent reviews. I called on Monday. I was asked if it was an emergency I told them no but described the symptoms. They told me since it was spring break (basically a nice name for Snowbird season.) that it would be 3 weeks before I could get in. I told them that I didnt really think I had 3 weeks and other than fly home to my state known urologist in Peoria Illinois, then I would look elsewhere. To their credit, they did come up with a possibility 10 days later. (I should say that during the phone conversation trying to get the appointment, I was asked 3 times whether I was on medicare)I was looking forward to getting established with a good urologist.Let me start the office visit part of this by saying.. STAFF - really friendly and efficient. DOCTOR... Professional. My appointment was 1:30... I was in the exam room close to 2. (not bad) great staff there also. Dr. comes in, very serious, introduces himself, has my chart and my notes on current and former urology / male concerns, and asks whats going on... interrupted a couple of times.. not to clarify but to ask another question... (guess I wasnt quick enough for him) I answered his questions.. told him about the urgent care visit. He did ask if they checked me for prostrate concerns, I told him no that the Dr. acted like she could care less. He made some comment something like..they arent qualified to check... He asked a few more questions then told me he wanted to check everything. Keep in mind he hasnt asked or mentioned past history which is on his sheet. He checked me, told me my prostrate was enlarged, and started rattling off medications, (more cipro) and flomax. Stood and said he wanted to see me in 3 months. Handed me a script and said good bye.. Before he walked out I said something about my past prostrate concerns.. he then looked at the chart and said..Oh.. since 2014... I said NO since 1981 to 2014... (very clear on the chart) Lets be clear about this, the visit wasnt that long and I had the distinct feeling he was wanting out of there so he could move on. When checking out, he came out with another script he had either forgotten or didnt write while I was in the room. As I said, he was professional, but I will not be back due to the fact I am NOT a piece of meat to be run through at a set frequency. I took the scripts / prescriptions to the pharmicist and they ended up having to call the Dr. the next day because one of his scripts didnt make sense and they refused to fill it like he wrote it.. Maybe it was their fault.. but... COME ON.. are you in that big of hurry??????To finish.. I wasnt going to write this. I just was going to cancel my next check up and look for someone maybe outside of the area without saying anything. BUT since then, I ended up with an allergy reaction (welcome to Az - never had allergies before) and went again to a different Urgent Care. Great Dr. and staff by the way. Asked about a primary care Dr. which she did help me there and then told her about the visit to the urologist... believe it or not... she urged me to actually say something so that maybe, hopefully, someone would wake up and understand that not all people are on Medicare and dont want to be treated like a quota to meet. My Peoria, Ill. urologist is one of the best.. Has quotas to meet, but takes time for and with his patients... Thanks but no thanks any more.. and by the way.. Good luck...
