I hate going to the dentist. Its always been a regrettable experience. Thats partly on me. But I wanted to get in and talk about what sweethearts the entire team here is. I felt that the Dentist was up on latest trends, I felt the hygienist did an excellent job of reassuring me and keeping me calm. I was in a lot of pain, so it was a task. The front office lady who checked me in was so empathetic to my situation. The lady who went over my bill was kind and looking out for me to financially get a deal, which I definitely needed. Really, Im still terrified of going to any dentist, but this team was excellent. I wanted to express my appreciation.

I absolutely love coming to Dr. Ladd Williams office! They are so knowledgeable and have helped my teeth become more healthy than they have ever been. Dr. Williams has a great attention to detail and makes sure that your teeth dont have any problems and look perfect! Debbie, the dental hygienist does an amazing job on cleaning my teeth. She has saved me from getting fillings and helped me maintain the health of my teeth. The front office and back office staff are awesome as well. I’m actually quite disturbed to see Dr Ladd has 5 star reviews across the board. I began thinking about him recently as the crowns he fitted on me about 8 years ago are finally failing. My functional dentist and I have been expecting and preparing for this for some time now, since the crowns never properly fit.About 8 years ago, this dentist and his front desk staff pressured me into grinding down all of my front and side teeth so that he may fit me with crowns because of my night grinding. Dr Ladd wanted about $12,000 from me and luckily, my young, impressionable self was broke. Had that not been the case, I would have allowed him to grind down my perfectly good teeth because he made me believe I would lose them. I remember clear as day when I went in for what he called a “routine check up” and whilst in the dentist chair his receptionist brought over a $3,500 bill for two crowns and a white filling. I remember handing over my credit card out of sheer pressure.For months I called the office about the ill fitting crowns and was told my teeth were shifting. Imagine that…. teeth randomly shifting on a daily basis. I also paid $1,600 for bottom braces that I had taken off elsewhere since anytime I arrived at his office, I was literally harassed into applying for CareCredit so that he may grind down my teeth and place brand new porcelain crowns. The staff would even become physically irritated as I wouldn’t comply with their requests.Anyway, 8 years later, I still have all of my natural teeth, fixed my bite with the help of a functional dentist and unless some tragic accident takes place, looks like the teeth he wanted to grind aren’t going anywhere.If you are a new patient considering this practice, proceed with caution. I’m sure some of the staff has changed over the years, but the unethical behaviour comes straight from the doctor himself

This is the best dentist ever! I drive almost an hour to this place once a month for my kids braces. They work with you in regards to payment plans and the staff is very nice. My daughter loves how some of the hygienist will come say hi to her even if there not working on her that day. Dr. Ladd makes sure my kids are in the least amount of pain with the best results. I’ve been going to Dr. Ladd Williams for all my dental work for years. His staff is very friendly and wonderful to work with. His dental hygienist, Debbie is awesome! Dr. Williams has helped me so much with some TMJ issues I was having - he was able to completely fix my bite and get rid of the excruciating head aches I was waking up with each day for over 7 years. I had no idea what was wrong with me and went to several different doctors to find the cause, had blood work done, etc. but nothing was found. Dr. Williams pin-pointed the problem and was able to fix it and I wake up pain free each day! It has changed my life! I would highly recommend Dr. Williams to everyone!

When it comes to dentists, I will be the first one to say I am terrified. I dont know why I have this fear, but its real. Unfortunately I had pushed the dentist off for too long and ended up with a horrible toothache, unbearable. I had a dentist I had gone to before but it was a terrible experience, rude staff and they made me feel bad about being scared. They did nothing to comfort me or make me feel remotely comfortable. So I made the decision to look for a new dentist, I came across Dr. J Ladd Williams office, I read their reviews and was impressed with what previous patients of his had said. I called their office and Karen was so nice, made me feel comfortable and made me feel like it was safe to come in for an exam. When I met Dr.Williams, I told him about my anxieties and why i hadnt been to the dentist in years. And I will never forget this, but he told me that the only bad thing I might be subjected to in his office is bad jokes. Lol He has great bedside manner. I feel at ease when he is working on my teeth. I made it through a root canal and having my permanent crown placed. The whole staff at Dr. J Ladd Williams Cosmetic Dentistry is amazing. I would highly recommend this office. I will never go to another dentist again. They understand and care for patients like me who are terrified. I recently visited J Ladd Williams dentistry because I was looking for a dentist to do an implant. I was very cautious because Ive had a lot dentist appointments in my day and none of them were pleasant. I made an appointment with doctor Ladd and we had a nice conversation about my dental concerns. I told him about my awful experiences with dental procedures and he assured me that I would not experience any discomfort whatsoever. Well, I felt that I could trust him, because he and his staff seemed so caring and kind and pleasant. Well, let me tell you, I had such a wonderful experience at the dentist appointment. I did not even remember the procedure the next day. The doctor gave me a pill to relax me and that was it. I dont remember the long needle that I was dreading, I didnt even remember seeing the Doctor. On my next visit the Doctor told me that I was very relaxed and that i kept falling asleep. Well, I just want to tell you that, that was the best dental experience that I have ever had. Doctor Ladd will get all of my Dental business from now on. Im recommending him to all my family and friends. I even offered to cook him and his staff lunch. I am so pleased with them. Doctor Ladd treats you, just like family and his staff is so kind and courteous. You must see for yourselves, believe me, Im a hard man to please and I take my hat off, to J Ladd Dentistry. Went to dr Ladd to fix a few poorly done root canals and caps that had gotten infected and switched all my dental work to them haven’t had one problem since.

Ive been a patient with Dr. Williams for several years now. He and the staff are always so welcoming, experienced and transparent with treatment. When I came to him, I needed long overdue care which included several crowns and even a root canal on my front tooth(sad news for a 20-something! Thank goodness for dental insurance 🙏)I was in very good hands because they did a perfect job. The veneer on my root canal tooth is so precise, I nearly always forget its not my natural tooth. Years later, I come in for my regular cleanings and no issues since.

I’ve never had a dentist that was this good and personable. I had two root canals and they sat and tweaked both of my crowns until they fit completely perfect.

I can honestly say that I will be forever grateful that I found J Ladd Williams Cosmetic Dentistry! About 20 years ago, I began to be in a lot of pain due to problems/damage with my tm joint. I was on the search to find someone to help me. I finally found a dentist that was able to give me relief, but the methods used soon became apparent that they would not be sustainable long term. Without going into too much detail, I was put into an open bite. My teeth no longer touched, my mouth could no longer close down. I had to wear an overdenture on my bottom teeth for stability (fake teeth that would sit on top of my real teeth). Since my teeth no longer touched, the overdenture would also allow me to chew food. And even though I was happy to not be in pain, my smile no longer looked like mine due to having the overdenture. Years passed on and that dentist retired and moved away. My overdenture was becoming worn down and I was starting to feel very scared. Scared for my jaw. Scared for the quality of my health. And thats when my search for help started again. After meeting with several dentists and tmj specialists and feeling that they were not going to be able to help me, I found J Ladd Williams! While meeting with him, I felt the peace that I was looking for. I knew that this was the man that was going to help me and do it right! Ive never left that office feeling confused because he has always taken the time to answer all my questions and explain in detail what he was doing. I still cant believe the results! I no longer have an open bite and Im no longer having to wear fake teeth. Im pain free, using my own teeth to chew my food, and my smile is mine again! Ive been a patient of Dr Williams for over 10 years! Hes great! He explains everything hes doing, which I always appreciate. I take all my young kids to him as well. They love that place! No need to have a pediatric dentist! Great staff! Wouldnt go anywhere else! Hes fixed my teeth and now I can say I am no longer embarrassed to smile!

I went to Ladd for four or so years, truly one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. He created problems in my mouth that STILL, three years later, I’m trying to fix. Not to mention, he is unreasonably expensive. He has given me a few fillings and a crown, and every single one of them has given me problems. The crown had me in pain for a solid five months after getting it on. He did nothing to help that, I was taking several ibuprofen and Tylenol a day, with little relief. The fillings fall out after two or so years, eating things like pizza, things that clearly should not cause a filling to fall out. His patient education is frustrating, he talks to you like it’s too complicated for you to understand, which gives me the feeling he actually doesn’t understand. I have spent so much money trying to fix what he messed up, and experienced so much unnecessary pain. If you’re going to go to him for cleanings, fine, the dental assistants do a fine job. But if you need actual work done, trust me on this one, DO NOT GO TO LADD WILLIAMS. You will regret it.There is no excuse for such a horrible dentist to still be practicing.

Dr. J. Ladd Williams changed my life. I struggled with migraines for over 20 years and was on medication prescribed by a neurologist to treat the headaches and had horrible side effects. I first saw Dr Ladd Williams for a routine dental exam and was baffled when he and his staff started asking me if I suffered from headaches or arm and neck pain. I had pain every day - it was just a matter of how bad the pain would be. He explained, in detail, how clenching and grinding my teeth while sleeping could cause these symptoms along with The damage it caused to my teeth. I was fitted with an occlusal guard and immediately saw a decline in the headaches and arm pain. I was able to stop the medication the neurologist prescribed within a few months and have remained off the medication for over two years! I rarely get headaches now and honestly feel that my quality of life has dramatically improved thanks to Dr Ladd Williams.

After moving from out of state, the last thing you want to do is find new Doctors. By word of mouth, multiple recommendations, and researching, I chose Dr. Ladd as my Dentist. I could not be any happier with my choice. Dr. Ladd and his staff are all very polite and make you feel like family.

I recently got a teeth whitening and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone was incredibly nice and made me feel very comfortable. The lady who helpled me (I believe named Diana) was SO sweet and did a great job. I definitely recommend this place!

Ive been going to Dr. Williams since the summer of 2011. He is always patient, courteous, thoughtful, and precise in his analysis. As a CPA, precision and accuracy are very important to me.Dr. Williams is very methodical in his approach and pays attention to detail which inspires confidence. Because of his methodical approach, concise analysis, and good strategies, I have never felt anxious or concerned about the treatment processes. He also uses fine quality materials which prevent unnecessary dental problems in the future.Dr. Williams has made several crowns for me for both regular teeth and dental implants. I had an issue with TMJ for about 20 years and he cleared it up in about three visits. The result of his effort is superior dental work.I saved comments on his staff for last: The office environment is very pleasant and welcoming. Whether the Receptionists, Accounting Staff, or Dental Hygienists I have never heard a word of discontent spoken! Whether dental work or teeth cleaning, everyone is genuinely pleasant. Like Dr. Williams, the staff members are courteous, thoughtful, and jovial making my experience pleasant and memorable. Dr Ladd and the entire staff are amazing. The office is super clean and welcoming and they are extremely talented and efficient. My first experience was an emergency tooth repair and they have been taking care of me ever since. Marci and Jeanne have been great to work with as Dr Ladds assistants. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great staff and talented DDS.

I am originally from another state. I have Vaneers on front teeth. The Dentist that originally done my Vaneer is back in my home state. Over the years due to wear and tear my Vaneer had chipped. I had contacted a couple of other dental offices in the east valley to have just the one tooth repaired but they both insisted on doing all of them or not at all. I was was set the fly back home and saw Dr. Ladds ad on Google and Id give them a call just before I was about to book my flight. The lady that answered the phone was so great. I told her my situation and she with great confidence assured me that Dr .Ladd would be able to help me. Over the phone she took my insurance info. She emailed me the paperwork so I would not have to do it there and she booked my appointment. She made the process so simple and really put me at ease. When I went in and I met Dr Ladd he was so impressive to me with his knowledge and assurance, and his demeanor was the best. Dr.Ladd took the time to explain to me the differece between my Vaneer and a crown and gave me the option of the two. After wearing the temporary for two weeks the doctor put on my permanent and it is flawless. He matched the color perfectly and I am so satisfied with his work. He will now be my Dentist. He earned my business.

I had been looking at Dr Ladds Facebook page for at least a year before ever making an appointment and now Im kicking myself for not having gone in sooner! Sounds so dramatic but in the short few months since my first visit to the office my life has changed because of my dental work. When I went into the office I was sincerely expecting him to tell me that my best bet was to just yank them all and get dentures. However, Ladd did what no other dentist has ever done and actually explained the dysfunctional way my jaw had been...functioning. And by explained I mean, used a moving model, drew pictures and at the end, I could explain the problem myself! He told me how it could be fixed and what could change potentially with my jaw fixed.Im still getting things done but already the daily headaches are gone! After 20+ years!! I have teeth that work! So Im thrilled! Its worth driving three hours from Flagstaff to get the best care. Ive come to actually look forward to the dentist (!?) because seeing my friends at Dr Ladds office is so fun. Jeanne, LeeAnn and my darling Marcey! If you are at all on the fence, fearful or just waiting for the right dentist, Hop off the fence and dont be afraid cause this is the right dentist!
