Great place to get your eyes checked. Dr. Whipple explains very well how my eyes are changing as I get older and suggests how to best deal with the changes. I appreciate his knowledge and the time he takes to make sure his patients eye care needs are taken care of.

From the first time I called to make an appointment with Dr. Reed and which now continues thru each of my follow up visits, I couldn’t ask for a more caring, polite, helpful staff and doctor. Excellent service and quality of care from the moment I stepped into this practice. Jackie is so welcoming and was able to get my insurance information quickly. Ive been going Mesa Eye Care for a decade. They are wonderful! The technicians always check for glaucoma and macular degeneration along with the typical eye tests. The front desk personnel is always friendly, courteous and professional. Dr. Whipple routinely asks questions to know about my eyesight; work environment and other environmental issues that might effect my vision. Their office really focuses on tailoring its care personally, for each patient.

This was my first trip and I was very happy with the extensiveness of my eye exam and felt no pressure in buying glasses from the practice at that time. Want to be serviced by a rude staff and optometrist? Come here! I drove 30 min to get my nose piece fixed (which I verified over the phone they would do for me), and then I come in and was told they can’t help me. And not in an apologetic way, in an impertinent way. All the women there need a new job in a non-customer service industry. And the eye doctor there gave me such an off prescription, I had to go to another eye doctor for an accurate prescription. Every one I’ve talked to has the same complaints.

I started having vision problems the night before leaving on vacation. I called Dr. Reed’s office and left a message early in the morning of our flight out. Natalie called me back as soon as they opened and got me in to see Dr. Reed right away. Dr. Reed was thorough in his examination and resolved my concerns. He instructed me what to do if I had problems while I was out of town. I have been seen at this office by Dr. Reed (or his father, previously) for over ten years and I have been extremely impressed by their professionalism, knowledge, and caring attitude. I have recommended Dr. Reed to friends and family without reservation.

All the staff is very professional. My last eye doctor experience was in the mall, and with the same insurance I left there spending over $160 2 hours later after insurance. At Dr. Whipples I spent $25 after insurance 55 minutes later. Also Dr. Whipple is an eye doctor and a medical doctor so its convenient if your eye issues are linked to something other than your eyes so you dont have to make another appointment with a medical doctor. I value my time and Dr. Whipples office does too because the wait time isnt long, the staff keeps things in order , and everyone works well together to run a tight ship. I highly recommend Mesa Eye Care.
