Brookdale Baywood is an amazing community. From my first interview to almost working here a year later I still love this place. The staff really pulls together and goes out of their way for the residents. The residents are our first priority and they make it so enjoyable to come to work each day! Our residents are full of laughter, jokes, stories to share, and full of smiles! This isn’t just a job to me, it’s my life, my family and my priority each day! I promise you won’t be disappointed when the time comes for your loved ones to move in and live with us! We love it when our family grows!

Great place to work, I really enjoy working with my coworkers. The management team treats us all fairly no matter our race or our gender, especially our HR Julie who made it very easy to start working here. We are all made to feel like we are part of a family taking care of very special members of our Arizona community. Providing service to our senior community fills you with a great feeling that money cant buy.

Today we moved my dad to Brookdale Baywood. I am overwhelmed by everyone there who did so much more than necessary to make him feel welcome and at home. As Dad gets ready to celebrate his 90th birthday, we know that he will receive great care in the days ahead. Thank you, Brookdale!!

The years of working at Brookdale Baywood have been awesome. All of the laughs, hangout sessions, and jokes with residents, coworkers and family members are amazing, I could go on forever about how much fun I have. Thank you for making my job one of the best ones ever. There are many employees at Brookdale Baywood who are truly passionate about their job and the people that they serve. The friendships that I have gained while at Brookdale Baywood will last a lifetime. I also want to say thank you to my residents and employees for making this place fun. Please know that the people who work here, truly have your loved ones best interest in mind.  They care about each and every one of you as if you were members of their own family.  That caring attitude is hard to come by. I could work anywhere but Baywood is the place to be. So, Hello and welcome.

My wife has worked for Brookdale Baywood for several years, she has so many fun stories to share about her coworkers and her residents. Most people say there job is horrible and stressful, but when my wife comes home she is always happy-go-lucky, she always keeps her residents happy and stress free, this is a high indication of the seniors at Brookdale Baywood are well loved and taken care of. My wife always shares how amazing the staff and managers are at Brookdale Baywood, if I ever need a place for my family or friends this will be the place.

I came to Brookdale Baywood to visit the memory care unit. All the staff were compassionate and I could tell that Ellen Fillicetti truly cares for her residents. She really put my mind at ease thinking about moving a loved one here.

If youre looking for a safe environment to work in then brookdale is not the place there focus is money and how many workers they have , If youre wanting a job that you can feel comfortable coming into without the fears of being groped by your married coworker then brookdale is not the place to work I was very disappointed in the way they handled things, looks can be deceiving. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Our mother needed to move into an assisted living facility very quickly after having a medical emergency. We had contacted many facilities using a variety of placement agencies. We then looked into Brookdale Baywood from the advice of a good friend. We couldn’t be more pleased! Even though we had a short period of time to get her moved in and settled, the staff was amazing! Even during COVID they were so understanding that it was going to be difficult for Mom to adapt from Independent living to assisted and when we needed help in making Mom feel like it was her home. The staff were at her side to give her personnel attention and to explain the “ins and outs” of the available activities, and to introduce her to some of the other residents with which she had interests in common. We highly recommend this Assisted Living facility to anyone looking for a great place for your family member!!Beth Williams and Robin Ferlick

Mom declined after being quarantined in her room due to covid. She had dementia and No One monitored her food or fluids. I was told by Christine (DON, LPN) “we’re not here to monitor their intake”. Mom fell twice that day, hit her head and was sent to the Emergency Department at Banner Baywood where she was treated for dehydration. She was down to around 73 pounds then. No one there held up to any standard of care from administration to staff. It was downhill from then. Mom died on hospice care here in my home on October 4th. Total negligence and neglect! And I am left with the guilt since no one there let me know of her decline! Mom did not die from covid. Mom died from a lack of proper care.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to answer any questions or concerns. The greatest thing of all, was seeing residents who all were smiling, engaged in activities and enjoying themselves.

Wonderful facility! In an area inundated with assisted living, Brookdale Baywood is on the top of my list. Having several patients move in over the years, I have only heard great things from them and their families. The staff are very professional and work very hard to accommodate the needs of their residents.

I have 5 family member who work for Brookdale and they have been with the company 12 yrs. to 2 years. One of my relatives works at Brookdale Baywood and loves it there. They have a great management staff and they are always talking about how they are treated like family. The new management team is great and always has time to listen and teach. she said she is so happy there and feels like this is where she should be working for a long time to come.

They are in the process of selling. They have replaced all the plumbing in the entire building. Fortunately, we took our friend on an outing since there was NO place for residents to use the bathroom. Carpeting also needs to be replaced. Caregivers are friendly and attentive.

Amazing residents and families no doubt there is such sense of family in the community. As a former member of the management team I felt the direction of where the community was going had been seeded and a perfect foundation made for the next leadership. Dont go by negative comments but always stop by to visit and meet the team.

My mother was here for a little less than a year and I was not happy with her experience. I am out of state and am going mostly off of phone conversations with Emeritus management, nurses and conversations with my mother. She was able to come and go as she pleased even though she had trouble moving. She was twice brought back by Mesa PD. She was admitted into the Memory Care unit which seems to not be able to handle patients with Dementia at all.My mother falls a lot due to her condition and was sent to the Baywood E.R. constantly! She was never under the care of a MD while here, only a NP. She was also recommended for Hospice care which we did. Then less than two months later, all of a sudden, she was fine! She didnt need hospice care anymore. She was not administered her meds properly! And they threatened to evict when her payments fell behind (she has Dementia! She was using an old checking account on accident). They called me constantly about her money affairs but NEVER called to tell me how she was doing other than to tell me that they were sending her to the E.R. because she had a slight bruise or something of that nature.

Just gotta say that Brookdale Baywood is a great place for Seniors who need assistance with daily living. Great food offered and wonderful apts. Activities and outings if you want and a staff that cares for your loved one. Drs who come to see them so they never have to go out for appointments. Honestly, who could ask for more for your family. Seniors often feel isolated in their own homes. This is a wonderful alternative for families. For this reason, I give Brookdale Baywood a 5 star experience!

We entrusted our father to this Brookdale facilitys memory care unit and had planned to have my mom enter their assisted living. Our BIGGEST regret in the 10 years our family dealt with my fathers Alzeheimers is that he spent most of his final days at Brookdale Baywood. After 6 days/nights there, my fathers Alzheimers was so badly mismanaged that his condition worsened. Unwilling or unable to care for him, they dumped him at the ER for a psych evaluation. The psychiatrist who saw him in the ER spoke with the Executive Director and was incredulous at the way he had been treated; they had even denied him a doctors consult because they said he didnt have the proper insurance coverage. The director also stated they would not accept him back even though the psychiatrist said he was okay to return. He spent two days in the hospital while we searched for another place for him. We were blessed the find Mama Care Assisted Living in Mesa. Sadly, my father passed away two days after he went there.

Any potential Residence BEWARE!!! Steer as far away from this place as possible. Checked my mother in with high hopes and checked her out 3 weeks later. They charged us for level 7 care when their brochure only shows 6 levels. Her call button was broken 90% of the time. Medications are handed out each morning with a line up of wheelchairs. Took over 2 hours some morning for my Mom to get her critical medications. She cried out in in wet bed with no attention because her button did not work. Finally when we arrived one morning and she was curled up in a fetal position and had been calling for over 2 hours in a wet bed, we broke into a staff meeting and asked for help, returned to the room and waited and waited. Went back downstairs and heard them laughing in the staff meeting. Broke into the meeting a second time and demanded help. Finally someone came at the same time as Hospice Physician arrived. The Hospice Physician told us to get her out now! We did and will do everything we can to prevent others from sending their dear family members to this horrible dungeon.
