Made an appointment with Ray to do an in home assessment of my mom. I took the morning off to meet. 15 minutes after our scheduled meeting time, he no showed. I called him and he told me he had been at a covid hospital (what is this?) for past 90 min with a resident? client? employee? dealing with a covid emergency and he was just stepping out to call me. It takes 5 minutes to call to let someone know you will be late or not make it yet he did not do this. Also, if he is at a covid hospital dealing with someone with symptoms or exposure, why would he then come into my 88 y/o mothers house and expose her? I am looking for home care to minimize her exposure risk. He wanted to reschedule the meeting, I think not.. Unprofessional, inconsiderate and poor communication do not make for a good impression.

Hiring this company was the biggest mistake ever and if I could give them no stars I would. If you are looking for a reliable, honest company to care for your loved one, trust me, this isnt it.I originally hired THHC in early September to care for my father. My first impression was a professional company endorsed by the VA that expressed confidence in their ability to take on my fathers case and help him with his in home needs. At first, things went pretty smoothly but that quickly changed. Over the four months that that THHC was in charge of his care needs there were numerous occasions where his caregivers were late or just didnt show up and left my father unattended. My father needs help getting in and out of bed and relies on someone to be there to help him start his day as he is disabled. This put my family in a huge crunch to make sure that we could get to his home and help him because with THHC there is no backup plan. When I would reach out to the owner/office manager/only point of contact for THHC Ray Johnson he would be act surprised and say he would handle it right away and that someone would come out to cover which never happened. I later found out this company has no clock in/clock out method so if someone is late or doesnt show, the office doesnt know about it - pretty irresponsible if you ask me. Anyhow, Im a patient person and realize that things can happen and gave this company chance after chance. I later lost count of how many times they didnt show but I know the last week we used them it was six days in a row. If the constant reliability wasnt enough - we had things taken from his home and once a caregiver used my fathers credit card to purchase groceries for himself. ( We caught this on one of our security cameras). We also had caregivers asking to borrow his car to run personal errands and putting him in bed early so they could leave, clock out early and get paid for the hours. Probably the worst part of it all was the constant drama between the associates and Ray - the owner. When I brought my concerns to Ray, there was little empathy and just excuse after excuse. When I finally found a replacement and let them go - the reasoning I got for all the issues is that they werent charging us enough and if we paid them more they could provide better service. Seriously? We paid on time every two weeks and had the bill auto charged through a credit card.The point is, if you have a loved one that has extensive care needs and you need a caregiving company - save yourself the headache. The position this company put my family and I in time and time again was tremendously neglectful.

Let me start by saying that I couldnt ask for a better experience. I live out of state and I needed someone that I could depend on to provide care for my mother who fell and broke her hip. The rehab center released her sooner than I expected and this put me in a bind. I called Tender Heart Home Care from a recommendation from a friend that had a good experience with them as well and they were very informative on the phone which put me at ease and they went to the rehab center and perform a free assessment on my mother right away. I was also able to setup services really easy with no contract via email which made everything so much easier. Mom is doing great and loves her caregiver that provided. Thank you so much!

I used to work for this company and had a supervisor who was so sweet. Unfortunately she no longer works there. The person in charge now is one of the most rude and disrespectful people Ive ever met!

I cannot stress enough to beware of this company. My loved one has a lot of complicated issues. The caregiver they introduced us to claimed knowledge of all the equipment he requires. When she arrived for her first training shift it turns out her experience was at least a decade old. She didnt recognize the equipment nor how to use any of it. Also the company continuously texted her thru her shift asking her to take a picture with her cell phone of my loved one and text it to them. I did not give my permission, I am his POA, this was done behind my back. I found out later that she did indeed take the photo and texted it to the company, a supervisor admitted to me that she had the photo. I was told they needed the photo for internal uses however I said that they had sat down with me on two different occasions and I signed a contract none of which ever mentioned a photo being needed. I was told that they use it to show potential caregivers the client. However, it is against the law to show a caregiver a client prior to being hired by that client. Needless to say my loved one and I feel completely violated by this company and would recommend you steer well clear of them.
