Dr Shane Maxwell has saved my life, been seeing him several years now and I cant say enough about this man! Can be honest about your pain and not be judged. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of pain specialist

Dr Maxwell has been a Godsend to me!!!I was in a horrible Pedestrian Vs vehicle accident. (I ran across the Highway. Car hit me @ 55 mph)I am riddled with post traumatic osteo arthritis now.I had been sent to many different Drs. Each 1 would have me do the Mri & jump hoops then send me to a new Dr who would repeat the cycle. This went on for a few years.Within 5 minutes of meeting Dr. Maxwell,I knew he was the Dr. For me.He was the 1st Dr who treated me like a person vs a statistic.What impressed me immensely was the fact that he actially LISTENED TO ME.I felt hopeful immediately.While I was driving down the freeway to my home,I couldnt stop bawling & thanking Jesus!!I cant begin to express the relief that I immediately felt just from knowing that someone UNDERSTOOD what I was going through.Im shocked by the bad reviews posted.Patients need to know that he is there to help but he cannot erase all of your pains away.His goal is to help US to manage a way to live with chronic pains.If u are here to get pain meds but you arent willing to try things that he suggests to help the situation, then u are probably with the wrong Dr.I have been his patient for 4 about years.I listen to what advice he gives me.If he thinks that I need to do injections. I do them.You need to be proactive with your pain management.Its as simple as that!Also, He is very adamant about punctuality!If your appointment check in time is 10:15.Then be there NO later than 10:15He makes it crystal clear in your initial evaluation, that he will not make exceptions for tardiness.If its that important to get your medications, U will be there on time.🤷🏼‍♀️I personally believe that its about priorities!!Ive never had any problems with Dr M.He is great.He always asks me about the happenings in my life.He always chats with me about my family & the things that I truly enjoy.I truly appreciate that he cares about me.Also, Tina Is absolutely amazing!!She is super friendly as well. She always takes the time to talk with me. This means a lot to me.Unfortunately, I have several Drs that I see regularly.I could be so lucky to have any of those 6 Drs to be as kind & supportive as Dr Maxwell & his A-team!Just be honest with him about whats going on with you.There are very strict regulations on pain medications.If U have no intentions to be part of the solution,He will know.There is a ridiculous amount of folks addicted to pain meds.For that reason he has to be very cautious giving them out.He has to follow strict guidelines.It IS his job to weed out those people who are only there for free pills.My best advice is to be HONEST & WILLING to learn how to maximize the help that he/they offer.I really think that his team is there to help us.I also appreciate the receptionists. They are always polite & friendly too.

I am not sure the office even deserves one star. This is suppose to be a caring facility to help people in pain....not a damn time clock. They do not care. I was reading the last review, I had the same experience. I drove from Nampa. They had my paperwork. I was a few minutes late...according to them. But I dont see the Dr. for another 20 minutes. How can I be late when I am early. And the Snotty B..ch he has for a nurse should be in combat. Someone neglected to tell her this is a medical facility, where people come to get help. Not sarcastic remarks from the help...or lack there of. If they even remotely cared they would work with you, not demoralize you. Do yourself a favor go & see a different Dr. Someone that actually cares. Another thing, the vibes in the office are not good. Everyone seems to be at high alert!

Shane has been my doctor for over 6 years. His goal is always to improve your quality of life. If you are completely honest with him he will do his very best to help with no judgment. I have never met a more gifted doctor. He wants to understand your pain and your life.

Horrible. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment as was stated in both the reminders (one voicemail I have saved and one text message I have saved) that I received. When I went up to the front desk I was met with confusion and sent to a second desk where I was asked when I wanted to schedule my ‘follow up appointment’ and then was told to go back to the first desk to get copies of my cards scanned. At the front desk I was again met with confusion when I asked where to wait to go back and was told that I would not be seen as I needed to arrive AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES EARLY if I wished to be seen. That is ridiculous, especially because I was interested to have all of my paperwork already completed before I arrived, so I have no idea why I had to be there 30 minutes before my appointment. This was an entire waste of my life as I took the afternoon off work, drove 45 minutes from Middleton/Caldwell just to be turned away and have to drive right back home during rush hour. Told my general doctor to refer me and my family members (who all have a genetic disorder) to any other pain specialists that aren’t Idaho Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr Maxwell has been my physician for 8 years in Boise.Very relaxed and no rush through any questions or conversation.One of the very best that I have seen as a patient.

Dr. Shane Maxwell is a wonderful doctor and person in general. He is honestly the first Doctor that I have ever been completely comfortable with. Usually I dont ever get comfortable being in the presents of my doctor even if Ive been being seen by them for years, but Dr. Maxwell makes you feel like a person not just a number on a chart. He truly cares about his patients. He takes his time with you. You never feel rushed or like hes in a hurry to get you out of his office. If you are having a hard time with your pain or just a rough time in your life he takes the time to listen and if he can fix your pain management issues he will. If you are unfortunate enough to have to go to a pain management clinic I truly hope you are Lucky enough to have Dr. Maxwell as your doctor.

I dont know where Id be today without my many years of wonderful care

As someone living with a chronic, degenerative genetic disease, I have lived with pain my entire life. I thought of taking pain medication on a daily basis as a failure, and by the time I got to see Shane, I was ashamed and depressed as well as desperate to find some kind of way of continuing to function. He didnt just help find a pain medication that could help me without having the pain steal half of my concentration or make me feel stoned, he helped me learn to accept myself. He has been supportive and reassuring, and he talks to me as a person, not like a condition. He doesnt rush me through an appointment, and he doesnt give up, even when most people would. He kept looking for ways of dealing with the issues on his off time, and was able to find a surgeon doing a new surgery that fixed one of the many things that are wrong with me. I would have been on disability 7 years ago if it hadnt been for him.

Dr Williams here is a joke, DO NOT SEE DR.WILLIAMS At this location or park center location!!!! DR WILLIAMS IS A JOKE, WILL WASTE YOUR TIME..!!!

Ive been seeing Dr Maxwell for two years and find that he is an AWESOME pain specialist. He utilizes many treatments on me to cure the pain that I have. Im so glad that there are alternatives to pain medications. He is one of the only DRs in town that can perform Neck and Back RFAs. He really cares and definately schedules his patients so that he can spend time with them. I will never need to go anywhere else!

Horrible experience with Dr Maxwell on my second appointment he refused to see me because I was on time not 15 minutes early which I was never told that is his policy because he is the only Dr there that wants that. He cares more about his fragile who then the care of his patients I drive from Nampa early morning traffic just to have him refuse to see me because I was only 5 minutes early. Total jerk

He will turn his back on you when you need him the most. I got hooked on pain meds after several back surgeries. No one in that office cared. I was all alone in my own private HELL. Went to detox and the pain is so bad and he cut me off and said come in two month..BEWARE
