I would not recommend anyone go here. While the front staff was very nice, the hygienist and the dentist were not friendly at all and were cagey about everything. After telling me both of my sons had cavities they refused to show me where they were or offer any additional information. I took my boys to another dentist in town and it turns out neither of them have any cavities. Glad I went for a second opinion before I spent several hundred dollars on unneeded dentist services.

My family has been going to this office for about 3 years with no issues. This summer I received a call from this office to schedule a yearly appointment for my daughter.After the appointment, I received a bill in the mail and was told that my insurance company wouldnt cover the costs because because it had not been a year since the last checkup. I called Dentistry by Design to clarify the issue and during the call, they fully acknowledged that the error was entirely their fault and they could do nothing to waive the entire cost of the checkup.

The amazing Team at Dentistry by Design truly accommodated the last minute needs of my daughter and I. I called Friday and luckily got an appt the following Monday with no hassle. Upon entering, the receptionists were extremely welcoming. Our dental Hygienist (Mario) went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was comfortable during and after her procedure. He was very patient with her and made her a beautiful crown for her tooth. Even though I originally came in only for a consultation; Dr. Gilsdorf made room in his busy schedule to perform the procedure today when I mentioned that I would be going out of town soon. Payment options were plentiful with flexibility and no pressure. Thank you so much to the remarkable team at Denistry by Design. I wish I could have found y’all sooner!!!

We love this dentist office. The staff are knowledgeable and wonderful. We have had wonderful experiences here in the last month since we started as patients here. They were wonderful with my kids who are curious and asked lost of questions. They were patient with them and gave them a wonderful experience went from being afraid to loving the dentist. I myself have had a wonderful experience. I just had a root canal. Now I have had previously bad experience at a different office and was real concerned about having this one done. With that they suggest a couple of prescription that would relax me along with gas. I have to say it was a wonderful experience I felt nothing . this definitely made me feel more comfortable and look forward to more work that has yet to be done. If you have previously bad experiences at other offices please give them a try. I have found that they are really knowledgeable , very warm and inviting, and they do all they can to make you comfortable during appointments.

I came here for a routine cleaning and exam. I loved this place! Taryn was so kind, knowledgeable, and personable. I know some people really dont like going to the dentist, but these guys make the experience so easy and not scary at all! Dr. Gilsdorf is straightforward, honest, and to the point. Love that so much! You really made my experience a good one and I cant wait to come back for my next cleaning!

My two year old usually does not do well at the doctors/dentist etc, but we had an entirely different experience here. The receptionist was very kind, her dental hygienist was extremely friendly and personable and the dentist was so patient with my daughter. I appreciate them making what is usually a stressful situation actually great!

From the ladies up front to the dental chair, all out great experience w all of the employees here. Lauren and the other girls are so sweet and great at explaining all financial options. The techs are amazing and the doc explained what I needed done most importantly so that i can begin to get my teeth back in good shape. So happy to be a patient here.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Look elsewhere for a dentist. Unless you want to pay for unnecessary treatment, look elsewhere. They told me I needed over $2000 in treatment and wanted me to pay before I even had an appointment scheduled to get it done. I went for two other opinions and they found NO CAVITIES!!

We were told they took United Concordia for the military- we get two cleanings a year and X-rays covered under our dental that they also confirmed- today I got a bill from them- Me and my children have had no work done other than our annual cleanings and yet we got a bill.. definitely will be calling our insurance and you to see what in the world is going on and then taking our business elsewhere. Super dissatisfied with how this business is working with their billing processEdit to add: I did call they informed me I was told and it was documented- not only did they not go over that they are liars that will go the extra mile to get money out of anything they can and simply say they can do nothing about it. We will never be returning and I recommend the military community goes elsewhere as they are not people of integrity

My college student made an appointment, was filling out paperwork when called back for appointment and told to finish paperwork after appointment. Then later received a huge bill, told out of network. Yikes. Business office manager refused to let me discuss with dentist or owner. Beware.

I went in last week in need of some work. I told them I would be moving soon so I would need the work done as soon as possible. They were able to fit me in and I am so happy with the outcome. The staff and Doctor are so friendly and professional, I definitely recommend!

I needed to be seen pretty urgently for tooth pain. They were able to fit me in THE DAY OF. Jackie was my dental hygienist and was very helpful and informative of the entire process. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone in the MHK/Junction city area!

Never going back there again, the dental service is good but the accounting and reception or billing department is the one I am not happy with. Its like a bait, they have told me of a different lower price at first, they didnt explained to me how much my bill can go up after insurance paid them, they just tell me the lowest initial price at first but didnt set the expectations how much it can go up after the insurance paid them. I was not informed of updated new balance from them and did not receive any receipt any month from the payment so I am not aware how much my balance still are. They didnt even offer any receipt or email receipt at all even if they are saving paper.have to call them just to found out how much my balance increased compared to the initial price they gave to me before availing the service. I wish they would do better in explaining the expectations on payment before taking or offering payment plan to customer.

Ive been taking my 4 kids here for 2 years and up until COVID they were wonderful. On this particular day my 1st grader needed a crown repair which would require nitrous (which hes had with me in the room). I prepaid for the procedure when I scheduled it. When we arrived and they checked him in (outside) I asked if I could go with as usual and was advised to wait outside.Long story short, he was uncomfortable with the nitrous and instead of calling me back they abandoned the procedure and referred us elsewhere. Then they refused to reimburse any of my money (that will need to be paid where they referred me to) until they bill our insurance for the nitrous.Take your kids straight to Little Apple Pediatric Dentistry and dont waste your time with these people. None of us will be back.

This was my first dental experience in Kansas, and I was a thoroughly impressed. I had a cleaning done with Hygienist Michael— whom was kind, attentive, and meticulous about his work. Additionally, I met with Dr. Gilsdorf who was honest in his recommendations, and answered my questions proficiently, thus I did not feel pressured into getting any additional work done. This practice is not equipped to handle those with anxiety…Originally, I booked here because they had a lot of availability, could get me and my daughter seen quickly, and the staff was prompt and friendly on the phone. I knew that I had a cracked molar that needed fixing. I had a positive first appointment with a very nice hygienist! I was told that I would need a crown placed on the cracked molar and an additional cavity filled. I wanted it to get taken care of ASAP, so I was happy they were able to see me quickly. I confirmed that the crown appointment I would have the same hygienist, as she made me feel comfortable. Upon arriving for the crown appointment, it was a different hygienist. I was nervous, but tried to make the best of this knowing that schedules can often change at the last minute - I was a bit disappointed the practice didn’t make me aware of this before, having known my anxiety and me specifically asking to make sure the original hygienist was booked.I was very nervous for the crown appointment, but tried staying relaxed, brought headphones, and opted for the nitrous. I was set up on the nitrous, and I was given the numbing shots by the dentist. He left the room for a few minutes and came back in. He asked if my lip was tingling, and I replied, “NO”. I am very sensitive to anesthesia, so I know the sensation well. He put another shot in and proceeded. Initially, I didn’t feel anything, but then I felt a very sharp ZING, almost like getting burnt by a curling iron (but, ya know, on my tooth). So I quickly raised my hand, as instructed. He did not stop. I tried raising my hand further and struggled to talk with the guard/pillow in my mouth.The dentist abruptly stood up as he noticed that I was struggling, and said “we definitely can NOT do this today with her. Call her husband”. And stormed out of the room. I was shocked that this was his behavior and he never even asked if I was okay or addressed me. After trying to explain my pain and fear to the hygienist, she just told me to calm down and stop talking because the nitrous wouldn’t work. They called my husband (without me knowing)- who had to bring our toddler and baby. I asked if we could just complete the procedure because I was already upset and didn’t want to have to come back. He explained that the anxiety I was facing was my own fault and was preventing the Novocain from working. I was a little in shock and very upset. I just asked that he finish because I didn’t want half of my tooth gone and then still have to return. He obliged and finished.I later found out, they never called my husband (who had brought our two children to come get me), so they sat in the parking lot for 30+ minutes. My husband finally called them and they said I would “be done shortly”, so my husband decided to drive around…45 minutes later, I was finished and called him.I was given little information about my tooth, I didn’t know if I could eat right away or not and how much pain to be expected. The following day my mouth was very sore, and I called to cancel my cleaning and cavity that had yet to be filled for 6 months from now. They poked and prodded at why I wouldn’t be returning, and I explained that I had an awful experience with the dentist and would prefer to see someone else. I asked to be refunded for the cavity that was not completed.After a week of pain and sensitivity, I called our old dentist in town (that is hard to book..probably because he’s really good at his job and very popular). So he found time to fit me in and saw that my crown was placed too high. He shaved it down and let me know because of the sensitivity I am having that this tooth will need a root canal - only weeks after having this crown it still needs additional work!

Ive been using Dentistry by Design for a year and a half for all my family. We have only ever had excellent experiences, even with more complicated dental work. The front end staff is very professional and friendly, the office is bright and clean and up on all the latest technology. Michael Gilliam, my hygienist always ensures that I am comfortable and pain free during my cleanings. I recommend and refer to this office every time I get a chance.

I went in today for a cleaning etc & Micheal who did my cleaning made me feel so comfortable & he did an awesome job! Once the dentist came in I forgot his name but he explained everything very well and was pleasant. The two other ladies in the front were nice as well. They offer payment plans so that’s good !

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The manager is rude and has zero common sense. I called to reschedule my appointment because I was having an emergency with my infant son. She told me I had to pay a “same day cancellation fee” due to them not double booking. I told her I would not be paying any fee because I was rescheduling due to an EMERGENCY. She was not helpful. I called again and spoke to another woman who said she would waive the fee one time and if I wanted to reschedule I would have to pay a deposit. I will not be returning to this office where they only care about charging fees and not about their patients. Worst dental office I’ve ever been to. This is NOT how you treat your patients and I will never recommend this office.

I just had my root canal yesterday at DBD and it was an amazing experience! I have some pretty bad dentist anxiety and they were fantastic at easing my fears. They did not proceed until they were certain I was 100 numb and ready. I was laughing and joking with Dr. Gilsdorf and the hygenist. They are extremely gentle and very friendly. Would absolutely recommend!

Anyone who has anxiety or fear for dentist PLEASE READ THIS!⬇️Long story short Im from europe and as a kid i had multiple bad experiences with dentist which made me scared of them. And that led to multiple problems, one of them was not being able to come in into the bilding or even sit in the chair without having a panic attack and crying. After i moved here i visited quite few dental clinics and i had the same reaction. Dentistry by design was my last hope, because at that point i was not only scared but in pain as well. The minute i walked in i was treated like a queen. The staff was pleasant, the doctors knew i had panic attacks and anxiety and were really patient and understanding, didnt do anything that would make me feel scared or uncomfortable. So that was the first thing i liked about this place. But the things i LOVE is that comparing to other clinics in the area they actually have separate rooms for clients and not some dinky cheap separating curtains, they do their best to keep you comfortable and pain free as much as they can. After they seen me, i was told that i have quite some work to get done and knowing me i burst into tears and thought i wouldnt be able to do anything. Again, i was wrong! During The very first procedure of my treatment i took some gass to calm down, but at the end of it i realized i had no need for it, because even without them i felt nothing but calm. My experience here is beyond amazing, and I am the person who hates going to the dentist (and lets admit, i didnt seen one for 10years). I always feel so calm and welcome here. Staff is always in the mood to jock around and to even talk about your day to day life. I love how this clinic is stress free and will always do their best to take you in the next day if not the same day in case of an emergency! I definitely recommend this place!!!

I have two young kids and they now love going to the dentist because everyone at Dentistry by Design is so nice and interactive with them. Theyre never forced to do anything they arent comfortable with and the hygienists always explain to my kids in detail the steps before beginning so they know what to expect. It also helps that they get a little gift bag with teeth cleaning goodies and a toy out of the treasure chest for doing well during the exam. Were very happy with our experiences here and cant wait for our next visit.

Dr. Gilsdorf ,and the rest of the staff, are extremely friendly and attentive. They make the overall experience wonderful. I love that youre greeted by name as soon as you walk in the door. I think its amazing they take the time to go over your treatment plan with you and also offer a payment plan that allows you to break down you treatment cost into monthly payments. Definitely very happy to have found Dentistry by design.

We just moved to town so this was my first cleaning at Dentistry by Design. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They seem to really want to make going to the dentist as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Although under construction and a little disorganized, the dental professionals did an outstanding job. My technician handled more responsibilities than Ive normally had done and that just tells me they really know what their doing. My dentist was quick, straight to the point and itas always nice to run into a fellow veteran. Additionally I did have a minor issue but it was handled in a timely manner and profesional manner. I will be back and appreciate how they handled me as a patient as I know im not the easiest to deal with. 5 stars

If youre new to the Manhattan area and looking for a great family dentist, dont look elsewhere, this office is wonderful. All of the staff are very friendly and professional. As far as cost went, I knew what to expect from the beginning with what insurance would pay, and there were no hidden fees or costs or anything, everything went as expected. Dr. Gilsdorf was very gentle; I believe he does excellent work. Before each appointment I received a call from the office as a friendly reminder, as well as a few days after my procedures to make sure everything was okay. I love the staff and I highly recommend them!

I was seen on April 22, with a possible tooth infection. I showed them the side and they began taking x-rays of all my teeth without asking me if I have had them done at a different office recently. I was told by the hygienist that I needed 3 crowns ASAP!! Never saw the dentist!!! How does a hygienist make that call?! I was then pressured into staying to fix them right then! I told them I couldn’t. As I was leaving I was pressured into signing a dental contract and pay half up front to save my date. I went in for 1 tooth problem they did full X-rays without My permission. I told them I was allergic to penicillin when they asked about allergies. They never told me if I had an infection or not but gave me a prescription for an antibiotic that was penicillin basedI. I went to the pharmacy who told me don’t take that because it is in the class of penicillin!!!!! Are you kidding me?! So I went and got a second opinion and they told me I didn’t need those 3 crowns ASAP!!! Plus they checked my X-rays that they took on April 22nd and didn’t see any infection. So why did I take antibiotics?!? Please go see Advanced Dental Arts way better!!! They will give you an honest recommendation when it comes to your dental work.

Dr. Brett is the best in town! I’ve had 19 cavities, a root canal, and other procedures and there’s no place I’d rather call my second home than Dentistry by Design. The staff is the best here! Highly recommend to anyone!

Today on our second visit with my other daughter they definitely made our day! Shes is so scared of dentist and she was terrified today because she knew two of her teeth needs to be pulled out because other clinic on Manhattan said so! And we got great new that they this clinic doesnt do that! Even when its baby tooth! My daughter left from there today with big big smile on her face! She cant wait to go back there! There is no doubt that this is the best dentist I have ever been to. I have no fears when coming to the dentist whether it being a filling or just a cleaning. They have the friendliest staff and the best services anyone could ask for. The lobby is always clean and organized. When it comes to consultation on fillings and/or any other dental work, they will work with you to find the best payment method, have it be all in one sitting or in small payments. I would gladly come here again, my mom and I are never disappointed!

I had a great experience at Dentistry By Design! Dr. Gilsdorf and his wife Justina are wonderful! Alexis in the front is great, she has been very helpful with everything! Michael was my hygienist and I enjoyed seeing all the cool technology that they have and getting to see the 3D X-rays that he took. They were very thorough. I’m impressed with the care I received and plan on coming back for all of my future dental needs!

I absolutely love going here for my dental work. I do not have great teeth and they have been very good with working with me and within my budget to ensure I get the best care possible. The staff is very friendly and very receptive to listening to you and what you have to say. Plus...when I was getting some fillings done, they provided a blanket to keep me warm and I could have even gotten a pillow! Who does that?! Dentistry By Design, thats who! And...I love that I can take my mind off of what is going on while there as they have TVs on the ceiling so I can zone in on what is on rather than what is happening in my mouth. Definitely recommend their staff and facility!

I cannot say enough great things about Dentistry By Design! From the moment I walked in the door everyone was friendly and helpful. Im terrified of the dentist (even getting a cleaning), but they make my visits very comfortable. My favorite part is the heated neck pillow and warm, scented towels! I highly recommend this office - you will not be disappointed.

The clinic is super clean and the staff members are very friendly and welcoming. My daughter and I just had our new patient check ups, and we were quite impressed. The staff answered all the questions I had and even elaborated things I didnt ask. They were very thorough with everything. Plus they are great with children. The tv on the ceiling in the exam room is definitely a bonus as well. We just received personal handwritten cards in the mail that thank us for choosing them as well as wishing me a happy birthday. It completed the satisfaction of the experience. I would definitely recommend them.

I had a very pleasant visit with the staff in the office. I am a new customer and I immediately made appointments for my children. They evaluated my teeth and made me a new appointment for a crown immediately. I have pretty bad teeth that need a lot of work. The front staff is very pleasant. I’m excited to see how they are with my kiddos in October.

So, I moved to KS about a year ago. I needed a lot of dental work. Someone told me about this place. So I went and had some work done. I paid somewhere between $150 - $200 (with insurance) to get some work done. I had to go back twice and let them know that I felt that they didnt fill a tooth right because it still hurt. They just kept telling me that I needed a cleaning. Well, couple after that I have a HUGE hole in the the back of that SAME tooth. Then I got a bill in the mail saying that I owe then $120. After disputing it they still sent me to collections. They are very expensive and unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend this company to my worst enemy.......

So we chose these guys because of the comments from here and other sites on the web. We had our cleaning and initial exams (not pretty on our part) the hygienist were great. Today we met to map out a plan. We havent been to a dentist for a while so we were a little shocked at the price (things have changed) but not the amount of work required. On both visits everyone we have come in contact with were very professional and friendly. Dr. Gilsdorf and his staff explained everything so we could understand what was needed and explain all of our options. SO FAR we recommend that people check them out. We have a lot of work ahead but are confident the rest of the visits will be just as positive and we plan on this being our life time dentistry. I will post more as the treatment continues but for now they are receiving 5 stars for their treatments and all of the staff. Glad there were enough positive comments to convince us to give them a chance.

I had a crown put in the other day. Dr. Gilsdorf and Dena were both phenomenal. They made an uncomfortable procedure into a simple task. Would recommend to anyone!

First time I have enjoyed my experience at the dentist. They found a cyst that my previous dentist never saw and possibly saved my jaw! They spent a lot of time with me explaining things and I got a quality amount of time with Dr. Gilsdorf himself rather than the usual 10 second visit I was used to getting previously.

This is hands down the best dentist Ive ever been to. Ive had cleanings, fillings, and Im in the process of getting an implant with Dr. G. Their use of technology is unbelievable and Im thrilled with all the work Ive had done thus far. The staff is extremely friendly and make you feel so comfortable! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dentist in the Manhattan area!

Dentistry by design has been the best dentist office I have been to. Everyone is always so nice and make you feel welcomed! They also make sure you feel comfortable while getting treatment done :) So happy I went with them!

I read down through the reviews because I couldn’t imagine why people would give this place less than 5 stars. I HIGHLY disagree with the suggestion that the Dr. tries to do dental work that is unnecessary. My experience was the exact opposite. It was a previous dentist neglecting to do what needed done that left me with a mess. A mess that Dr. Gilsdorf has done an AMAZING job fixing. While it may be a tad more expensive you get what you pay for. The staff is amazing. They have the latest and greatest technology paired with EVERYTHING to keep you comfortable during your procedure. I am moving and I would take them all with me if I could. I have actually contemplated coming back to Kansas from California to Dr. Gilsdorf. Job well done, as always. Consistent and amazing, as always!

Today I saw Dr Bret and Amber for work on a crown. The customer service was excellent. I appreciated the offer of coffee, blanket and pillow. I felt very pampered. I also liked the fact that I could look at the computer in the office (chair)and see other services available. I could plan to have other services other than preventative and repair.

Amazing staff, my son and I both had a procedure done. They were gentle, and made sure we were comfortable. My 5yr old told me he wants to be a dentist, after going to Dentistry By Design. I could never get him to open his mouth at any other dentist, Im so happy we found them.

I typically dont like to leave bad reviews, but as someone who relies on reviews, I feel inclined to share. My son and I both went to dentistry by design after reading all the great reviews.Dr G is root canal happy! I was told I needed 3, miraculously I didnt need them when I got a second opinion. He also told both my son and I that we have a bunch of cavities, (me -7 and my son - 4) and surprise, I only have 1 and my son has ZERO!!I have 1 other friend who was told her son needed a root canal at age 8 for a tooth injury and a 2nd opinion said otherwise.GET A 2ND OPINION!!!I gave 2 stars because the staff was really nice and the office and equipment they use is nice.Shame on you!

I am so pleased with the work done on by Dentistry by Design. I have very high anxiety when it comes to dental work and they helped me get through that and with a lot more patience and compassion than I could have shown anyone.They made my set of dentures; they look like real teeth and after being so happy with that experience I had them put in implants so my dentures snap in; my bite is almost what it was prior to dentures. My adult son also goes to Denistry by Design and he is very happy there also. I would recommend them to anyone: child and adult alike. They would be better if it were free but other than that misfortune (haha) they are pretty great to work with.

Dr. Brett saved my life.On November 11th 2019 I came to the dentist early that morning without an appointment I was in so much pain got an antibiotic and pain killer went to work when about my day. But as the day went on the pain got worse made it through the day came back at 4:30 the same day and my infection has grown significantly. Dr. Brett released all the pressure in my mouth. As I left the dentist office and made it to Kimball Avenue 10 minutes away the pain was almost gone. I slept so well that night I was ecstatic. Having gone through four different dentist since Ive been in the Manhattan area this is by far the longest Ive been at one dentist and the best one. Ive seen dr. Brett and his team for almost three years now. And I would not go anywhere else. Amazing team and staff latest technology just so easy to be around. I have never had such a wonderful experience at a dentist office. The staff was so welcoming and genuinely concerned about my well-being and they did everything they could to ease my mind and nerves. It felt like a family there and you can tell the whole office has great morale and they love what they do. Not to mention my cleaning and check up was excellent. Thank you Dentistry by Design!

I am generally very nervous to go to the dentist and I had not been to one in 3 years. Everyone in the office made me feel very welcome and there was not anything that I was concerned about. They asked about my personal life and made me feel like I was more than just a patient. Thank you very much for everyone in this office!

Dentists made me feel at ease the whole time, also receptionist was kind and friendly.

My children were a little skeptical at first but after seeing this, the dental technician allowed them to play with some of the tools so they vials see that it would not hurt. This didnt work too well on my youngest but Bret was very patient and was not pushy at all. My daughter was on the no cavity club. She received a certificate and a prize for doing so well. I suggest this place for all your dental needs

Great customer service, friendly & welcoming staff. The office is inviting and comfortable, something that is really refreshing when going in to get your teeth cleaned! Highly recommend.

I went in for a filling and as a new patient I asked the assistant what she recommended for my situation. She said that I could do an X-ray on one tooth to save money. I asked if I should just do the full X-ray and they said it was up to me. I chose to do the X-ray for just one tooth. She comes back and tells me I will have to do a full cleaning and a full X-ray anyways!!! So now I had to pay $113 and $269!!! This place is a total rip off, and need to hire better informed staff. I will never go back to Dentistry by Design. If I could rate them 0 stars I would.

This is the best dental clinic in all of Kansas theyre whole staff is very nice and friendly i highly recommend going there.Dr. Gilsdorf is great and Michael is the best dental hygienist I also like that they mail you reminders and also call you incase you forget your next appointment i always leave from there happy😊

After having a bad experience elsewhere, I decided to come here for my other filling. Well they ending up finding more fillings than the previous had and were alot more through with everything. Great experience and atmosphere! Staff is so nice and helpful! We even decided to switch our son to come here. I am so glad we switched!!

My 8 year old son had a terrible experience at two other offices in town and was terrified of the dentist. He had to have major work done on his teeth, and the staff here made him comfortable and actually want to come back to the dentist! If u have children I absolutely recommend them!

Ive been going to Dentistry by Design for about 3 years now, Ive had normal cleanings every 6 months, filings, x-rays, root canals and most recently a crown replacement and I am always beyond impressed! Dr. Gilsdorf and his entire staff are incredibly professional, talented, friendly and amazing at everything they do!! I could not ask for a better dentist or dentistry team! They have top of the line dentistry technology which they always stay up to date with, and constantly make sure their patients are extremely comfortable and happy with great decor, comfortable couches and chairs, Tvs for patients, blankets, hot towels and a variety of options for patients with anxiety. If youre looking for a great, talented, experienced dentist and dentistry team, definitely go to Dentistry by Design!!

I had an absolutely terrible experience here. I was referred out to get a root canal. I chose Dentistry By Design after a consultation with them because they (Dr. Gilsdorf) assured me they would work with my extreme anxiety and severe gag reflex.I was given sedation prescriptions before the procedure and a nitrous mask during the procedure. Dr. Gilsdorf has absolutely no decent bedside manner and was beyond rude with me. While waiting for the root canal to begin my legs were shaking: likely due to all the sedations meds and coldness of the office. The Dr rudely said “you’ll have to stop that.” I was taken aback at his lack of empathy as he so explicitly sold me on during the consultation. After one shot of Novocaine I still had complete feeling in the tooth to be worked on. They gave a second shot and started the procedure. I could feel every bit of the drilling into my tooth and the pain was unbearable, I kindly raised my hand to stop for a moment and see what else could be done.At this time Dr. Gilsdorf got out of his chair, and with an extreme temper said “there’s nothing we can do, you’ll need to leave,” and he stormed out of the room.I left that office in tears with a temporary filling and still in need of a root canal.Since my procedure was NEVER completed I asked for some sort of refund.I pre-paid for a root canal. I left with nothing but a temporary filling and they are saying I will get no refund.I would like to point out that all the office staff and assistants were very kind to me, and even gave me recommendations for a Dentist who would help me better than theirs.I absolutely do NOT recommend Gilsdorf to anyone for anything. He was rude and should find a new career, this is obviously not for him. Or at the very least, he should let patients know how utterly rude and condescending he is before they agree to using him.
