It is very clean, organized and the staff is friendly. Definitely no intimidation factor at all. The 30 Minute Workout area is awesome and absolutely LOVE the water massage after a hard workout. 5/5 Stars!

I really enjoy working out here with my husband and Son or even by myself. Its not too noisy and everyone minds their own business.

I like that you are true to your word in that everyone is welcomed with no judgement. The facility is clean and it has all of the features that I was looking for in a workout facility. It’s fantastic that you’re open 24/7 so that I can get my workouts in before work on days that I know that I have to work late.

Its always clean, the staff is kind and helpful, and it is the most affordable with the most options. The only thing I would say is that I wish there was a free weight barbell and a couple other machines.

Tanning beds are not cleaned properly. I used to work at a salon and this is how you clean beds: 1: use a NEW rag after each person!!!! 2: spray WILD the whole bed (That includes top lights, and sides because legs touch there) 3: start at top where the head goes and work your way down, if you EVER miss a spot after going down you need to get a NEW rag. NOBODY wants booty juices smeared to the head area!!! PLEASE TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE PROPERLY ON HOW TO CLEAN TANNING BEDS. This is after Ive watched the workers cleaning on several occasions and have experienced dirty beds myself. They use the SAME RAG to clean after each person! Not okay!!! If you are going to offer these amenities then they should be treated with extra care considering peoples health is involved when it comes to laying on other peoples sweat, fungus, and bacteria while naked or almost naked v.s In the gym area where people wear clothing. Also stand up tanning beds/red light deserve the same cleaning love. Whether you want to hear this or not, coming from a former salon worker, some customers will lean their back sides on the stand up ones. They also need to be sprayed all the way down and all the walls cleaned including the foot panel. Yes i can see the hand/greasy prints on the beds and stand ups. Also please try to clean your white walls in the tanning rooms or repaint over the brownish red spots. Thats disgusting. The actual gym area is great for me and looks good which is why I still gave three stars. I understand 20$ is a great bargain for the black card, but there are no excuses when it comes to keeping a hygienic practice.

Very organized, due to covid they have cleaning stations, on every garbage can they have 2 spray bottles and a roll of paper towels and you are to clean off each machine after you use it. They have treadmills, climbers, ellepticals, weights, and many machines for core, upper body, and legs.If you prefer to go when it is less crowded, you may have better luck going after 11 at night. They have a fridge to buy drinks from, they have regular water, muscle milk, gatorade and more.They also have tanning beds as well as massage chairs. You do have to be a black card member to use the chairs, im unsure about the tanning beds. You have to ask the desk for coins to use the massage chairs.

This place is a lifesaver, so glad its open 24/7 again. Perfect for a relaxing workout, and also, Im glad I can find somewhere to shower since idk wen my hot water will work again. Soo happy theres a gym like this thats affordable.

I see that the gym keeps up exceedingly well with itself. They are cleaning equipment, vacuuming, and wiping things down pretty consistently. That gives me some assurance as I work out. Additionally, I never find that there are too many people in the gym. They follow the capacity limit well. The employees are also very kind and accommodating. I’ve never walked out without them telling me to have a good night. I appreciate their hard work and dedication to their jobs, and I’ve never had any sort of issue at this location.

After the crazy year we’ve had I’m thrilled my location is now open 24 hours!

The staff is consistently working around the clock to make sure the place is clean. They are always sanitizing the machines, weights, work out areas, tanning/massage/red light area, and the locker room/restrooms. If I’m knit picking, the only thing I don’t like is the hours. They close at 9 and 3 days of the week I get off at 8pm and cannot get there in time for a work out. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in.

While I love the facility and the staff is very friendly, I have 2 constructive criticisms: 1) Every time I come in (late morning) the long back row of treadmills are being cleaned, en mass, and (only twice but nearly devastating) I have had a difficult time finding one to use and I have limited time to get my workout on, and 2) you need more than one ankle strap for the weights please. Im excited to read that we no longer need to wear masks while actively working out! Your staff is great (though inflexible about the treadmill cleaning). Anyway, I enjoy the treadmill, the weights, the red light therapy, the tanning, the massages, and most of all getting out of my office (the house)! Joining has completely changed my covid/winter attitude! I used to be a personal trainer and never thought I would need to go anywhere to work out but - what a lifeline!

I like that planet fitness has a different atmosphere then other facilities. It is actually a judgement free zone. I am able to invite a friend when wanted and I also receive discounts for certain things.

No one gives straight answers and management was completely unhelpful. Originally was going to just pause membership, but the hoops you even have to jump through for that are insane.

Joined the gym. Youd think if they wanted to keep their jobs, theyd at least show you around? Took my money, n no tour at all. Not a very friendly place either....

Has enough equipment to get a quick workout, staff is friendly, other patrons are thoughtful. They keep areas clean, and follow COVID protocol. I would recommend for any beginner/intermediate training. Comfortable environment no matter what level of fitness you are at.

The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and everyone is spaced out. They take the covid 19 protocols seriously and are constantly cleaning and trying to keep the customers safe.

Would give them zero stars if that was an option. My husband called a few months ago when they first reopened with the mask mandate as he has epilepsy and cannot work out with a mask on due to reduced oxygen causing seizures. The employee assured him that he could cancel over the phone to reduce the amount of people in their establishment. We didnt get charged for 4 months but then magically we get charged for November and December. This caused our account to become overdrawn and closed. He has called everyday FOR SEVEN DAYS to speak to the manager and the manager refuses to get on the phone. Glad to see this is how they treat people with disabilities and that they dont take ACCOUNTABILITY for their MISTAKES.

The staff is always professional and friendly, they keep the equipment clean and sanitized. Ive been a member for several years and I would recommend this gym to anyone. I especially enjoy the sense of peace without being over crowded or being distracted, I can truly concentrate on what I came to do (workout)😊

I love this gym in comparisin to the Harrison location. There is the perfect amount of both cardio AND lifting equipment! Even during the busiest times, I hardly every have to wait or even wait very long to get on a machine. Super clean and well kept as well :).

The people that work there are super friendly and make an effort to get to know you a bit. Im always greeted by name. Its always pristine in there. I go pretty late at night and have never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Ive not had one bad experience since I started going a couple of months ago.

A great gym for those who like to work out in peace. Its only $10 a month plus a one time annual fee. They have a variety of equipment, and the facility is very clean. Staff at the desk is always friendly and helpful. If youre interested in taking classes or feeling like part of a community, this isnt the gym for you. But for us independent exercisers, this gym is perfect!

The staff at the Loves Park is absolutely tremendous! You are always welcomed in with smiles and a greeting. The gym is very clean too! Trainers are always helpful and the classes are a great time. They will help you achieve your fitness goals.

Honestly, it’s a great gym for the price you pay. 10$ a month is perfect for an average gym. 40$ every year as a start up fee is pricy but it’s still not that expensive. I go here everyday (usually) and its usually pretty good. Crowded at certain hours be weary.

Great place to get fit

I have started to do some working out and it feels pretty good. I nirmally work 2 jobs 12 hours a day so I am adding this to help me. So I go very late at night not a lot of people around but mainly it is when I am from my jobs. Machines are CLEAN, well maintained, and staff is very friendly! I am asking a lot of questions since I am new and they are very nice explaining how everything works. Also get the BLACK CARD not the normal because you can use the message chairs and tables. I have not tried them yet but they are free I think with the black card membership so I will let you know how they are. Will set my alarm on phone in case I fall asleep..haha

Very clean, and the staff is super friendly. Everyone seems to have the courtesy to wipe the machines/weights off after they use them, so thats a definite plus. Even the locker rooms are essentially spotless!Great job guys.

Its kept very clean. There is such a diverse group of people and abilities, anyone should feel comfortable working out. A wide variety of equipment. Personal trainer is available if you have questions, or want additional guidance.

Terrible experience, never hated a company more. Will never recommend or step foot in one again. Had membership for a month, canceled, and was charged the $39 annual fee. Thought it to be a mistake so I contacted the manager of the gym and they said I should have canceled 5 days earlier to avoid the fee. This was a no commitment contract.... called customer service and they said the same thing. All together I paid $60 to go there for a month. Insane. Canceled my membership because every time I went here it was so packed I had to wait for machines. They dont care about you, they just care about bringing more and more people in to make more money. Worst experience ever. I still want a refund and an apology from the manager and customer service.

I just wanted to say, “THANK YOU” to Mario who has made my experience with Planet Fitness so wonderful. He is an awesome Trainer. I have worked out so much with Mario than I’ve ever worked out when I had a membership at the YMCA, or my first membership with PF in 2016. I just finished Physical Therapy for my knee, neck, and back and just opened my account with PF three weeks ago. I have been taking Mario’s Strengthening class at 6:15pm, and he is so patient, encouraging, and caring. I really like the fact that he walks around class not to judge anyone, but he really wants to motivate his class and make sure that we’re doing the exercises correctly. I really appreciate that because, I want to do all the exercises correctly. I know there’s a good way and a bad way, and I don’t want to get injured doing exercises incorrectly. Thanks Mario for being a “GREAT” Trainer and being so patient with me.

Wow. I have a gym membership at the YMCA. I joined this gym- Planet Fitness in loves park IL for the tanning... When I was told that I could only tan for 2 minutes (several times) before I could even move up to 3 minutes and then 4 minutes and then 5 minutes, I told them I didnt want my membership as I was only joining for the tanning benefit before I go to Florida. I cancelled the day I signed up.... They didnt even have a membership card made up yet… thats how soon I canceled. Not only did they continue to charge my acct, they charged me another annual fee. I went in there today (approx 6wks later) to speak with the manager because I continue to see charges on my bank statement. The.manager tells me because the employee that was working the day that I signed up (and cancelled) is no longer working there, theres nothing she can do. So they just charged me over $60. Wow. What happened to good customer service....service recovery....making it right with the customer. Sad.

Employees are great with the upkeep on the cleaning, very polite, and quick on help with service!!! And price is unbeatable!!!

Nice clean place to work out. Lots of modern well maintained equipment. My only complaint is that it caters more to the fitness niche and less to the weight lifter with the selection.Overall I gave it the 4/5.

I’ve really enjoyed going to Planet Fitness. However , whenever I’ve gone recently a class has been going on in the back corner work out area making my workout take longer then usual. I also wouldn’t recommend going at 5 , it’s packed in there! I love going in the morning and starting my day with a nice workout.

I canceled my membership and the paperwork said I could no longer use it after the 16th of that month. But, they still charged my account for another month. When I called they said oh well it was just a typo. You can use it until the 16th of the following month. Great! Would of been nice to know before when I was told it was all good and I wouldnt charge any further!!! Will I ever go back....NOPE!

I absolutely love how lax and unintimidating it is to walk in there. Whenever I walk into other gyms, I instantly feel like I dont belong. I love that there is literally no judgement whatsoever for anyone. Everyone is there for the same reason, to become better. I love the amenities they offer; shower, locker rooms, bathrooms, tanning, hydromassage....and its all so NICE!! I always recommend Planet, everywhere I go. Its my escape and favorite place to go on time off.

Staff was friendly. New maybe not new to some. But new to me. They have lots of new equipment. Till the 13th its .25 down.

This place has everything you need for a good workout at a very low price. Plus tanning, red light therapy, hydro-massage beds, locker rooms and showers. Its clean and the staff is great.

PF in Loves Park has been my home gym for almost 4 years. I love that location with all my being. I love the staff and I love my trainer Chase! Ive lost 165 lbs and was triumph of the month last March. I have a lot of medical issues that prohibit me from doing most cardio machines. The only one I CAN do is the arc trainer! My location got new cardio machines, which is great but they took away all the arc trainers when many of us depend on it! I dont want to have to go to the Rockford location but I have now been forced to because they still have arc trainers!! I need to be at my home gym to keep thriving and using my trainer. My journey has not been easy at all, BUT, with the love and guidance and persistence of myself and my Loves Park team I have come a long way and I still have a long way to go! PLEASE bring back the arc trainers in Loves Park!!

Everything was fine. But the bikes are not spin bikes and the seats are far too wide to get decent range of motion. The employee was also very slow to get me signed me. The process seemed to take forever and felt like it didnt need to.

I visited on a weekend, closed @ 7:00pm not user friendly.Massage beds where both broken, out of order. So I asked to tan in a stand up tanning booth ...... They dont have them only the lay downs this planet fitness has more of what dosnt work. This planet fit has been remodel and has many upgrades, it was very clean, the showers & bathrooms where showroom new, impressive. I would revisit this location agian when visiting my friend.
