I had to get 4 impacted wisdom teeth out and was a bit nervous about everything. Dr. Shabtaie and his team explained everything in detail, and the procedure went by like nothing! They make sure you have everything you need to make a good recovery. The office assistants are very caring and helpful. I would recommend Dr.Shabtaie to anyone nervous about wisdom teeth procedures!

Amazing doctor with kind and courteous staff who will ensure that you know exactly what will take place and how. They are warm, inviting, and will quell any anxieties you have regarding your procedure. Dr. Shabtaie is an absolute professional and knows exactly what hes doing. Furthermore, he is gentle, and makes sure that you are not experiencing any pain and takes the time to make sure the job is done properly. I cannot recommend Dr. Shabtaie enough.

But as soon as I sat in the chair, I was comforted by the lovely doctor, Dr. Shabtaie, and Veronica, the surgical assistant, asking me how I’m doing multiple times up until the anesthesia worked and the next thing I remember was waking up. The procedure felt quick and easy. When I got home, I didn’t even feel as though I had a procedure that day and I had 0 pain (didn’t even take a Tylenol). I iced my face for 48 hours following procedure and had little to no swelling. I just went to my follow up appointment today and everything is healing well. If you’re terrified of anesthesia and want a doctor who has done this procedure countless times, this office is for you. I couldn’t have had a better experience. Not to mention the entire staff are nice, calming and attentive. Natalie at the front desk is super responsive to even the tiniest of questions and always so reassuring. I would recommend this doctor to anyone!

I would highly recommend Dr. Shabtaie to anyone who has to get their wisdom teeth extracted! I had never had any kind of surgical procedure before and had to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed, two of which were impacted. Natalia was super helpful in getting my appointment scheduled and making sure I had all of the important information about the procedure beforehand. Veronica, the surgical assistant, was very kind and made sure I was calm and comfortable while she prepared me for the procedure. Dr. Shabtaie did a great job removing my wisdom teeth and as a result I experienced almost no swelling and very little pain afterwards. Everything has been healing well, and I feel great!

I was so terrified going in ,I literally had tears coming down my face but the Dr .assistant was so sweet and calm me down and walked me through everything ,what I was about to feel.The doctor did it so fast and I couldn’t believe it was over the only thing I felt was just pressure I can’t believe I’m saying this but I wouldn’t mind getting my tooth pulled again. Went here for a Dr. Shabtaie to have a wisdom tooth removed. He was honest and direct and helped me feel calm about the whole process. His staff was wonderful and super knowledgeable. The whole procedure was completely painless (very surprised!)and if I ever need my other wisdom teeth removed I will definitely go back to him.

If if could leave a zero I would! He is extremely rude, very condescending and arrogant! He acted like we were wasting his time just being there. He talked down to my son and made him feel like he was somehow responsible for his wisdom teeth needing to be removed...Also, he has two wisdom teeth removed and an extra tooth which they said was going to take 1 hour...he was done in less than 30 minutes (which tells me he just ripped his teeth out carelessly, I am a former dental assistant) and came out so bloody saying Hes ready when he obviously needed to sit for a few minutes! He ran him through like cattle! My son said that he was mean to him when he took him back to sedate him as well...RUN DONT WALK from this jerk!!

Avoid this dentist like the plague! He has been late 1-3 hours for each of my 4 appointments. Thats nothing compared to the horrible manner he talks to you, or the way he shows up looking like he just got out of bed at 2 in the afternoon, unshaven and unkempt. But lets talk about his skills. He pulled 15 teeth 7 weeks ago and has yet to tend to the bone shards he left behind. I still cant wear my new dentures because of this, so havent been able to eat. Today he didnt show up for a noon appointment because he was stuck in LA traffic before 9 am, and wont have another appointment available for ANOTHER MONTH. Plus, even though its POST-OP, he wants to charge me $870. Today when calling other oral surgeons, they said post-op work is covered under their original payment.SO RUN, DONT WALK. AWAY from this traveling dentist. Thats why hes in so many offices once a month. He cant be successful in his own practice for the many reasons I listed.

I had to get an emergency wisdom teeth extraction because of a really painful infection, and the clinic staff and Dr Shabtaie were all so caring, kind, patient and effective with their treatment. I recovered quickly and it was such a smooth process overall. They also accepted UCSHIP Insurance so that was very convenient! I’d highly recommend this place to anyone.

Let me start off by saying I was terrified of getting my wisdom teeth pulled. However, Dr. Ramin and his team made the process a breeze. From the very start, Dr. Ramin and his team were very professional and let me know about all the options available to me i.e. general anesthesia, laughing gas, or local anesthesia. We also went over the pros and cons of getting one or all wisdom teeth out. I went with laughing gas and the local anesthesia. I decided to just get it over with and get all of my wisdom teeth taken out. I kid you not, in about half an hour Dr. Ramin had taken all three of my wisdom teeth out and I didn’t feel a thing. One of my teeth was impacted and needed stitching, but Dr. Ramin used some type of self-dissolving stitches and I didn’t need to get them removed. His staff is super friendly and helpful throughout. I guess everyone heals differently but I was just fine the next day and even that evening. Four months later, my gums are pretty much healed and I am soooo glad I went with Dr. Ramin and his team. I don’t think I could’ve had a better experience.

Dr. Shabtaie and his team are AMAZING. Nothing less. They put me to sleep, extracted three teeth, had the medication ready for me when I was done and made it so easy and painless. I felt a bit uncomfortable an hour or two after the procedure because of the extractions but its so minor compared to what I thought it would be.

I had a scheduled appointment for a molar tooth extraction. When I got to the office, which was very neat and clean, the well informed and friendly staff of Natalia and Veronica went far and beyond my expectations to assist me. The dentist who sent me there failed to separate the tooth from the other teeth connected by a bridge. The staff called my dentist but not help. Then Veronica consulted with Dr, Shabtaie who offered his professional services to separate the tooth and then extract it. The extraction went very well but due to my other medical conditions I had prolonged bleeding. Again Dr. Shabtaie stepped in and managed to stop the bleeding. I was very impressed with the service I got. I was treated like a VIP. I strongly recommend Dr. Shabtaie and his well trained staff to anyone in need of a dental surgeon. They are great!

I was recommended to Dr. Ramin Shabtaie by Michael Schneider when he informed me that I would need to get surgery in regards to my wisdom teeth. Dr. Ramin Shabtaie was extremely professional, and I got all four removed with local anesthesia. Dr. Shabtaie did a remarkable job, and the surgery was quick and painless. After the procedure, I was advised on how to recover before the follow up one week later. When the time came for the follow-up, the doctor explained how everything was healing correctly and how I should continue caring for my teeth until I was completely healed. Credit should also definitely be noted with Veronica as the doctors assistant during the operation. Always making sure that I felt comfortable with the procedure as it progressed. Today was my first visit to Dr. Shabtaie, and I was delighted with the experience. The office staff is warm and welcoming. As a medical professional, it is important to me who I choose to treat my children. My son was experiencing persistent discomfort in back molars. None of the dentists we consulted were able to diagnose the problem definitively. Thankfully, I was introduced to Dr. Shabtaie through a medical colleague. He was very professional and kind, and took his time listening to my son and asking the right questions, and performing a complete examination and take specialized x-rays in order to figure out what was needed. He performed a biopsy of a growth in the jaw bone that was the source of pain, and was able to treat the actual problem by removing a cyst that was growing and putting pressure on the teeth and nerves in that area of the jaw. My son is now free of his symptoms for the past 2 years, and we are thankful to Dr. Shabtaie. I would not hesitate to refer any family members or my patients who may need an oral surgeon to Dr. Shabtaie.

I delayed getting my wisdom teeth out for as long as I could, but they grew in really quickly over the summer. I was abroad so I wanted to wait until I got back home to the states, but fall quarter started at UCLA so I had to rush back to campus. I was worried about getting them out near campus, but a friend mentioned he had his wisdom teeth taken out a few blocks from campus so he gave me Dr. Shabtaies contact information. I can honestly say that I have never felt more comfortable in a doctors office. Veronica was amazing and extremely quick and friendly with the entire process. I went in for X-rays and a consultation which lasted only 20 minutes, waited a few days, came back, and had them pulled before I even knew I was put under anesthetic. They really care for their patients and are great at getting things done quickly and efficiently. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shabtaies office.

What more can I say, I had the best most amazing experience at this office. 1st the appointment making was easy breezy, I had a complicated PAINFUL wisdom tooth that needed to be removed, after visiting other oral surgeons, they said they could not do it or were recomending extra unnecessary treatment. I called this office and I was given the same day appointment. The front office personnel is just amazing, the dental assistant was just wonderful and Dr Shabtiae(might spell the name wrong sry oops) was heaven sent. He is extremely calm, confident and just put me at ease. He performed the procedure and within 20minutes all my horror came to an end. Healing was quick I received antibiotic and pain meds and the swelling and healing took place in 5 days. I am a skeptical person so I had to wait a week prior to giving this review. Ooooh and the price completely affordable. I did pay out of pocket. I am referring everyone I know with extensive tooth issues at this spot, including my enemies too.The office atmosphere is welcoming. There is a parking garage and you know westwood aint no free parking.All smiles Victor!!!!

First time I will post a review for a dentist. I was referred to Dr. Shabtaie by a friend. My problem was a tooth with root canal with a possible fracture. Dr.Shabtaie took an x-ray and did an exam. He has a x-ray machine that takes CT scan too and this detail made the process faster (no need to go to a different place for CT scan). He explained everything in details and he was very nice answering all my questions about extraction, bone graft and implant. I highly recommend Dr. Shabtaie for any oral surgery. He is very professional and calm. Thanks to Dr.Shabtaie for the care.

In high school, my dentist informed me that I had to have all my wisdom teeth removed. Dreading the surgery, I delayed having it until 15+ years later (Im now in my early thirties). And, while I wish the whole process was completely behind me, Im very glad that the surgery was in the very capable hands of Dr. Shabtaie and his incredible staff.Dr. Shabtaie is professional and low-key. He graduated from UCLA with his DDS in 1996, so he has several years of experience under his belt, which is something I value in an oral surgeon. He was very thorough during the entire process, from the preliminary appointment to the surgery itself to my follow-up appointment. I have asthma, which can be a risk when under general anesthesia, so he made sure my PCP signed off on the procedure and had me take a puff of my inhaler as a precaution before the procedure. Its now been a week since the surgery and Im healing nicely - the antibiotics successfully prevented infection and I now have an irrigation syringe to keep everything clean as I finish healing.The staff, especially Liz, is incredibly friendly and accommodating. After my preliminary appointment, Liz put in a pre-authorization request from my insurance so I would know the cost for the procedure beforehand. When I had scheduling conflicts, she made sure to follow up with me to better accommodate my schedule. In short, she ensured that all the logistical aspects of the procedure were taken care of, which made this entire process go very smoothly.In short, I highly recommend Dr. Shabtaie, especially if youre nervous about getting your wisdom teeth removed like I was.

I encountered Dr. Ramin Shabtaie by luck of the draw.I was in incredible pain on Monday Colombus day and looked up oral surgeons and was referred to an office that was not the office an oral surgeon but luckily they did move fast in getting me an appointment with Dr. Shabtaie and his amazing staff Liz and another girl whose name i cant recall at the time. ( i apologize kind dentist tech) . They were very helpful and informative. I didnt feel the shady feel that ive been having lately from my current dentists office experiences.I was scheduled for surgery 2 days later and had my impacted wisdom tooth removed and given proper support as I did not expect to get over the weekend especially because they are not open over the weekend. So, I left a message for the doctor explaining by dilemma with severe pain over the weekend. He was empathetic and calmed me down by giving his guidance and an alternative on his day off.Im really happy with his work and one last note. His office was very clean and seemed to me up to date with current technology.Thank you so much Dr. Shabtaie and staff. You guys are awesome.
