Dr. Weiss is a unicorn. A rare Doctor indeed. She is extremely competent, but not arrogant. Her warm personality shines through at the same time her intelligence is made apparent. She takes the time to give her patient visuals with clear explanations regarding the health of their eyes. You would find it difficult to find a better optometrist; which is why I travel all the way from Ventura County to use her services.

Steve did an outstanding job adjusting my glasses frames which were bent. He also helped me make an appointment for an eye exam with Dr John ? (I can’t find the names of your optimists on your web page.) He gave me friendly, courteous service and left me feeling confident about his expertise.

A+ by all metrics. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The facility is clean, modern, and equipped with the latest industry technology. And Dr. Weiss is next level amazing! Without question, this will be the home of all my future optometry needs.

Ripoff!Just discovered that I was being charged $280 for a simple prescription eye exam. Would highly recommend to avoid this overpriced place. Just for reference, Costco would charge you $85 for the same procedure

Dr Vogel, tech who helps select & order glasses, & receptionist are all very helpful & courteous. They answered all of my questions including details of the assessments. They are also extremely conscientious about COVID-19 protocols. I extremely satisfied with the service I received. My prescription changed since my last visit (prior to COVID) & I am extremely happy with the excellent expertise that resulted in my improved vision.

Love this place, the selection of glasses and especially the staff. I recently went in for a pair of sunglasses, met with Sabba and had a great experience selecting the perfect frames for me. Visited Village Eyes Optometry for a new patient exam with Dr. Weiss. The staff were very helpful and I found their handling of COVID protocols excellent. I booked an appointment the same day I visited through their online tool and there were no complications.Dr. Weiss was a great doctor who answered all my questions thoroughly and simplified enough for someone with minimal background knowledge. If you want to understand your own health, Id recommend seeing her!

Wow! The cleanest, friendliest eye clinic I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out everyone is incredibly friendly. Talking to Monica and Dr. Vogel was like talking to longtime friends. Will definitely make this my go-to clinic for my all my vision needs. :)

Dr Lorin Vogel and Dr Donna Weiss are some of the sweetest people I’ve met. When examining me there was such kindness. I didn’t get the mans name that helped me pick out glasses or the front desk ladies but everyone in this office make you feel like a friend. It’s extremely clean so even in a pandemic I felt 100% safe. If you need an eye doctor please try this office out. It’s amazing!

LOVE this place! I had gone there about 6 years ago and decided to go back recently to get my annual eye exam and new lenses. The staff is super friendly and helpful, it’s extremely clean and they are very aware of adhering to safety guidelines during this pandemic. I felt comfortable and safe the whole time. Also, Dr. Vogel has great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable and amazing at what he does. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know.

My cat scratched my eye, and although Id never been there before, they got me in that same day. The whole staff was very helpful & friendly, and Dr. Golbahar went above & beyond to help me. She printed a coupon for the antibiotic eyedrops she prescribed me just in case my insurance didnt cover them, and even came in on her day off to check & make sure my eye was healing properly! Amazing!

I visited “ Village Eyes Optometry” on August 13, 2020 for eye exam and getting new glasses. Dr. Jon was very patient, thorough and kind. Staff are so helpful and nice and they have great collection of cool frames. The price was reasonable too. I strongly recommend this place to everyone.

Im very pleased with my recent eye exam. The results closely duplicated the results of a previous exam taken 4 years ago in another office by a different optometrist. Nearly identical prescription.Village Eyes recommended that I keep my current glasses and lenses rather than replace them according to the new prescription. This saved me more than $300.These are very honest, ethical and amiable people. Highly recommended.

I can’t believe how good this optometry is! My optometrist Dr. Donna Weiss is the best!!! She was very informative, giving me lots of good suggestions to keep my vision from getting worse. She’s very keen about data and talk based on evidence. She told me the differences between nearsightedness and astigmatism, and how my previous glasses were over-corrected to compensate for under-corrected astigmatism to avoid dizziness. She even gave me suggestions about spear fishing since the target might be off for people like me. I am so happy about this visit 🥰

This is a long overdue review for Village Eyes and Dr. Lorin Vogel! I got my eyes checked after graduating from UCLA and it was the best experience I have ever had. I have worn glasses for over 15 years and this was a wonderful experience. Dr. Vogel made me feel so comfortable and really listened to my concerns. I felt very safe and protected while having my annual eye exam and seeking out a new pair of frames for glasses. Dr. Vogel is FANTASTIC and took care of all my optical needs. He did some additional testing on my eyes since I had a floater and ended up dilating my eyes to have a clearer picture of what was going on in my eyes. Everything turned out fine.The staff was also very accommodating, friendly and efficient. They also made sure that my mask was secure and that I washed hands both before and after my appointment.I also worked with the optician to select a beautiful new pair of gold rimmed frames. She was very supportive and helpful with my selection, and I am really looking forward to wearing my new gorgeous glasses soon!Dr. Vogel has been my eye doctor since I was a student at UCLA, many years ago. Dr. Lorin Vogel is really amazing at what he does. I had a standard eye exam with him, and his care for the patient was evident in every aspect of it. Somehow, even though the exam was entirely routine, afterward I felt like I had just experienced the highest level of care.

Yesterday was my first visit since the pandemic started and I appreciated all the safety protocols that were put in place. Dr. Golbahar was great as always, even in these circumstances.

As a first-time customer and person with good vision, I went in for a long-overdue eye exam. In a total of 45 minutes, I was in and out with a full eye exam (including dilation) and completed order for computer glasses (I spend 40 hours/week in front of a screen). Very easy and will be back!

Dr Golbahar did my eye examination and glasses prescription. She was kind, knowledgeable, and truly cared for me. Even gave me a follow up call to see how my eyes were doing. I will recommend her to anyone who asks for an eye doctor. She did great work for me.

The location hours are great! My OD was very nice and welcoming. Only thing that’s kind tricky is parking but you can do Whole Foods.

Ive been coming here for more than 4 years for examination and for glasses. I would rate them with 5 stars if I could. This is the best place with the most helpful staff Ive ever been to. They always let me try on as many glasses as I want, help me with the fitting and offer stylish advice. Sometimes I need a second opinion and I trust theirs. My eye doctor always explains everything about my examination and doesnt just ignore me or make pointless small talk. I feel like I know why shes doing what shes doing and giving me top professional advice at the same time. On top of that, they miraculously fixed my glasses after I bent them up pretty bad. Anywhere else they would have just tried to sell me a whole new pair of glasses. You guys are the best!

I stopped in this morning to see if they could fix my glasses frame (purchased elsewhere) that had broken over the weekend. They were very kind, suggested then made the fix. They also adjusted another frame. This was all done right there on the spot and at no charge. Excellent, friendly service.

I especially enjoy my experience with my eye doc there, Dr. Bahareh Golbahar. She is very nice and pays a lot of attention to my needs my eyes and vision. She is clear with everything she tells me and helps me understand things that I might not know.Whenever it is time to pick my new frame, they have a large variety and are able to order you something else you may like. Been a patient of Dr. Vogel for many years. I have significant near sightedness. He patiently worked with adjusting my contacts and trying different brands until we found the perfect solution of multi focals and mono vision that gives me great distance, reading and computer distance. Same day Appt, Awesome Staff & Dr.. I will still give 5stars, unfortunately the Lab they advertise about isnt a fully functional one. Prescription eyeglass lenses would need to be sent out for days. Purpose of SAME day appt was dependent upon onsite Lab filling prescription that day.

Some personnel are very rude, and glasses are overpriced. The exact same glasses that I got from them was $100 cheaper at Nordstrom.

Im almost 34 years old and never had a true eye exam in my life. In fact, Ive always been apprehensive about anything near my eyes. I felt that my vision was mostly fine, but made the decision anyways to visit Village Eyes and have a consultation with Dr. Lorin Vogel.From the moment that I entered the office, I was welcomed and felt at ease with the reception staff. Right on time, I was greeted by Dr. Vogel who exhibited the perfect blend of kindness, comedy, and professionalism. He employed numerous fancy gadgets and thoroughly analyzed my vision and found me to have a small prescription. Of course I had many questions which he answered confidently, even allowing me to try on a pair of temporary frames and head out front to test the difference between my vision and what it could be like with glasses. There was no pressure to make any additional purchases.After 5 minutes out front (where I was ironically complimented by 3 different strangers for these frames I was trying on), I decided not to purchase the glasses, but I did return to Dr. Vogel as he had offered to remove a small cyst on the bottom of my eyelid.Before I made this visit, there was legitimately no way in hell I would have allowed anyone to stick a needle into my eyelid. But somehow I had gained an incredibly strong level of trust of Lorin in a very short time, and sure enough I felt at ease as he safely & professionaly stuck a needle towards my eye and fully removed this zit. I couldnt stop telling my friends about this experience for the next week!Bottom line is I cant imagine a better doctor or facility to have your eyes looked at. Even if you dont have any issues but are just curious, Village Eyes is the way to go.

The optomerists are very thorough with their exam and took their time to explain options, treatments, etc to their patients. The administrative staff are very welcoming and always provide great customer service. I have seen both Dr. Vogel and Dr. Lorin Vogel (his son) extremely pleased with their consistency in providing high quality care (and consistent follow-up care). They are also my other family members physicians and report the same positive results. Both have addressed my eye problems and have helped resolve them (after seeing a number of previous physicians). Ive worked with quite a few physicians for work and trust me when I say they are quality! I moved to the east coast, but when I come back to visit home I always make a stop to do have my yearly exam here! (Thats how much I value them!)
