I’ve been here 2 times and when you bring your member ship card (you get it from you first purchase)the next time you will get a discount based on your points. Definitely worth it! Ive been going to Davich Optical for almost 7 years, and my reasons are twofold:First, their glasses are priced flat rate and include anti-reflection and anti-water coatings AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.NONE.Did I mention that they regularly knock $40 off the cost of your glasses if you do an eye exam same day?The frame selection they have is MINT, their Korean brands often look just as good as Luxxotica sub brands while being FAR more durable and hundreds of dollars cheaper.I cannot overstate just how much I love that they dont nickel and dime you on ANYTHING.Second, if there is an issue with your glasses and prescription, they WILL take care of you. Ive had the misfortune of having to do eye exams and remakes multiple times over the years thanks to my picky eyes, and Davichs staff has NEVER batted an eye when Ive come in with an issue.In addition, the optometrist and business owner Dr. Chen is totally willing to explain various aspects of your prescription and make adjustments if things dont work out.The pricing, flexibility, and open mindedness of the crew, in addition to being able to cut virtually every common lens type and having most common lens available for same day fitting (this is a GODSEND if your glasses get broken) keeps me coming back.Keep it up Davich, you are sorely needed in a world full of Lens Crafters and American Opticals that think uncoated plastic lens is somehow appropriate for schoolkids.

DECIDE AFTER READING THIS: they only show the 5 stars review, so be it.I went to Davich optical for the second time last week. Last time I went in to buy a 150$ clearance frame+ lenses and it worked just fine, not too good not too bad. Recently, it has been 2 years since I switched my glasses, so I went to Davich again. Little did I know, it was going to be a harrowing ordeal.First, the glasses came out not even usable. The lenses were cut poorly and the frame (I bought it for 400$) is not well adjusted. The frame designed distance between pupil is 59 while my comfort zone is 54-56. Therefore, I have to ask for an exchange. Guess what? After I told the clerk (a Hispanic male, avoid him at all cost. Not because he is hispanic but because he is incompetent) my concern, he said the exchange is not viable. So you are telling me I am illiterate since the policy on the receipt said otherwise? Good job mate! Even the doctor told me later on that the lenses were not on the right focal point.Second, if Davich needs to come up with a store slogan to match up with my gut-wrenching experience, it will be: to hell with customers, want to exchange? try it. When I went into the store for an exchange, the same clerk (please, hire someone else) kept me waiting while he is serving someone who came in later than I did. when it is finally my turn, the rope on the half-frame is out of the lens trench. And, when I pointed out, he was extremely reluctant to fix it, and asked what do you mean. Pondering this for a moment, just how unprofessional you can be to fail customer twice? Oh, they can, three is the charm. When I left and said thank you, the clerk completely ignored it as if he is in primary school who lost a fight over a candy. PLEASE TEACH YOUR STAFF HOW TO BEHAVE OR YOU ARE RUINING YOUR STORE BY YOURSELF.Anyway, if you want a similar experience, please be my guest. And for Davich, your staff brought this onto yourself. When it comes to this comment, you totally deserve it.

It was my first time there and I had a great experience. Dr. Chen is very professional and so friendly. Very knowledgeable and you can see he is passionate about helping people. I was in and out in a timely manner. The cat that was there was so chill and cute. I loved the fact that they dont pressure you into purchasing anything. The customer service was excellent. Suergio was super helpful and had my glasses ready in an hour as promised. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. I didn’t have to make an appointment, I can walk in. Service was fast and you can get in and out in 30 mins to an hour. I got my prescription on paper and got to wear the correct monthly lenses. I appreciate Dr. Chen for his personality and ability to correct my prescription and identify that my current prescription was too strong. He was able to figure out that my current glasses was not as clear as the prescription he gave, which was better. Service is great!

If possible I would give more than a 5 star rating. From the time I walked in the service was amazing. I had told one of the employees that I had an emergency and needed my prescription same day, he made sure I had my glasses ready in less than an hour. I have been a customer at another local shop for decades (one on Vermont and Olympic), and spent thousands of dollars over the years for glasses and contacts. However, For the past few years, I have been having trouble with my contact lenses. I asked my optometrist about the issue, but he didnt do anything about it. I was seriously thinking that there were major issues with my eyesight or that my eyes were somehow crossed. Today, I went To Davich Optical and explained the issues to Dr. Chen who took extra time to figure out what was wrong with the eyesight. It turns out that, over time, my right eye was taking on the shape of a football. And that was causing All the focal issues with my contact lenses. After his diagnosis and examination, he gave me a pair of contacts to put on, and Eureka! I havent seen this well in a long time. So, I strongly recommend those who are not satisfied with your current opticians or optometrists to visit Dr. Chen at Davich. Youll see the world in a completely different light. Id give 6 stars if I could.

The optometrist is very thorough in the examination and always prescribe me a pair of perfect prescription. They keep their appointments on-time, so there is very minimum wait time. They are also friendly and easy to talk to. Their office staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Oh my gosh!! I found this place on Yelp and thought I’d try it out! The staff is incredible! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with both of the front desk people standing up and greeting me with big smile’s and a million hello’s. The eye doctor & I conversed for forever about everything ranging from what I wanted to do with my life and his favorite hobbies. Overall, it was such a fun & positive experience!

We found Dr Chen on google, and we can’t believe our luck. He was incredibly warm, funny, and full of expertise. Sincerely one of the best experiences we’ve had with any doctor, ever! Fast and friendly services from all employees. LOTS and LOTS of styles to choose from. They have wide selections from affordable inexpensive ones to high end designer brands. Opens 7 days, but I recommend making an appointment as they get very busy at times. I spent 2.5 hours from walking in to walking out with 2 pairs of glasses and exams. I highly recommend

This place is Great! Dr. CHEN was awesome. Cool down to earth guy. The weird feeling you get when ever you see any Doctor goes right out the window. I was in and out in no time and with my prescription. The staff were all friendly and many of them. Parking is easy and location not hard to find. I had a great experience here getting my eye exam. The staffs were friendly and accommodating. Didnt feel pressured to buy anything and the frames they carry are fashionable and affordable. Dr. Davich was awesome and chill throughout my glasses and contact lenses exam. They honored my Yelp deal ($20 for $40) + extra $40 for contact lenses exam. They will also deduct $40 when I come back to change my frames lenses! Which meant I only paid $20 for the exams. Such a great deal!

I really like this Eye place, my son found it in Google, I am glad he did, Optometrist is Excellent, he takes Walk in, and there open 7 days a week, the great thing, if you see optometrist and you decide to buy glasses from them, they deduct $40.00, so its come out free for optometrist, they also have variety of frames, and another thing what good about eye place if you dont need poly carbon glasses you can get your prescription glasses the same day, that awesome, the person that helped me was Angel, and he even speak Spanish. The other lady that also helped was very nice. Glass frames were all nice, they have a show case that starts from $50, $100 and $150, and variety of others those prices are different, they take MasterCard, and other credit card. The optometrist was excellent. I am Kaiser member, I also got glasses from here it was amazing I could see better with the test they gave me. They even sell Contac lenses.

Very unsatisfied with my experience here. I went to get a pair of glasses and contacts, but the eye doctor was VERY rude. Every time when I tried to ask questions about the contacts, he would just ignore my question and continue talking about irrelevant things that I didn’t even ask. I kept on telling him that my vision with contacts on was blurry but he didn’t say anything at all! so wrong. Also he was kind of forcing me to try the contacts that he was recommending. I mean, I get he is a doctor and all but still he should at least explain to the customer. Eventually, I had to cancel all my orders for the contacts which was waste of my money and time. Please don’t waste your money here and go to some other stores. Bad customer service!

When I went inside Davich Optical I was surprised to see high end big store inside (you can’t tell from the outside). They have a great selection of lenses, frames and glasses. All around incredible service. Dr. Chen is always friendly and professional as are all of his staff. The doctor really takes his time with every patient, making sure they get an accurate prescription and are well acquainted with how contact lens are applied and cared for. Dr. Chen answered all my questions, displaying his extensive medical knowledge, and was personable throughout. After I picked out my desired frames from the various affordable styles offered, Liz discounted $40 from my eye exam and proceeded to take her time along with another friendly male staff member ,whose name I unfortunately didnt catch, adjusting the frames to fit my face perfectly and because they had my prescription in stock it only took 30 minutes for me to get my glasses which is unbelievably fast especially considering the other glasses stores Ive been to, well known chains at that, minimum have you wait 3 days. They were also kind enough to throw in a free pair of colored contacts when I expressed my interest in trying some out. Therfore, for as long as Davich continues in operation I plan to keep coming here not only for the grade A service but also the unmatched value and speed.

I went to the store because my frames were broken and desperately needed new ones. I was assisted by Karen right away even though I did not have an appointment beforehand. She helped me choose my frames and connected with me like a sister. She was very patient with my family when it comes to billing. Living on the East Coast U.S. and so sad there is not a Davich Optical on this coast line. My experience with Davich Optical was this past summer while visiting Korea on a friends recommendation that it was much better and faster in Korea than in U.S., and I literally headed right over to Davich in Myeongdong and had the best experience. When I visited an optometrist here on the east coast a few years ago it was such a waste of my time and money. My vision problem was not corrected and I had to pay over $200 out of pocket after insurance and it took a few months for the glasses to come in. At Davich in Korea I didnt use insurance as Im not sure how that would have worked in Korea and frankly didnt feel like wasting my time with all the ridiculous red tape of insurance, so it cost me a little over $300 (exam, glass, and frame) to get a progressive, transition lens and I upgraded to a very low distortion, higher end glass, and the best part is I received the finished glasses in 3 days!!! I dont know if Davich works exactly the same in L.A. as it does in Korea, but if the business model is even close to the same I say dont walk there, run! It is truly the best medical experience Ive had. So efficient, no red tape, just awesome service, and best quality. I LOVE my glasses from Davich. PLEASE BRING DAVICH OPTICAL TO EAST COAST US. My daughter needs glasses now and I dont want to go anywhere else.

GO SEE CINDY - if I could tell you ONE thing about this place it would be to come see her!!!Otherwise there are of course other great things about this place. One very important thing is their price point. They dont only have expensive or inexpensive frames. They have a WIDE variety of choices and their service really tops any place I have visited. Period.Most of the time they will be able to provide a very quick turn around on your glasses unless you have really bad eyesight. In this case they may have to order your lenses in and it may be ready the next day but my sister and Is were done same-day and in a little over one hour.Their interior is simple and easy to figure out where what is due to BIG signs that show you prices, too. This is great since if you have a budget you dont have to feel uncomfortable asking about prices and flipping over the glasses to check on the price either. You simply know the part you are browsing is a certain price and thats that. How great is that??Anyways I am bringing my family back to get their eyewear here and not to mention the eye exam costs $40 and is deducted from your purchase if you buy glasses here. LOVE LOVE LOVE ~ I love the way they run their business and you can tell everyone who works here is happy, too! My eyesights pretty bad and I have astigmatism. I’ve been to many Optometrists but this is the spot I can actually see really well with my new prescription. I dont know anywhere you can get your glasses cut and ready in 30 minutes. Reasonable price and great service what else can you ask from an eyeglass place.

Storytime: I work at a place called Gabba Gallery on Beverly x Dillon, and there’s an elderly homeless man named Sam who comes into the gallery sometimes to look at the art, and talk. He seems to have some mental disabilities, however he has always been extremely kind to us, even bringing us little gifts and food. (We don’t eat the food since we are really unsure of where it came from, but the gesture has always warmed my heart.)Sam has one crossed eye, and always wore glasses. A couple weeks ago I noticed he wasn’t wearing them, so I asked him what happened? Sam responded saying some men beat him up and took his things, including his glasses. 🤬 I was so hurt to hear this—the degree of insensitivity and malice it must take to steal an old, disabled, homeless man’s GLASSES of all things — not fashion glasses, just prescription glasses so the poor old man can SEE. 🥺I have poor eyesight myself and can’t begin to imagine what it would be like being homeless without my glasses.I don’t make very much money, and in fact I need an eye exam myself. But something in me can’t let this man go without glasses. I called around and found a company called Angels for Sight who typically provides glasses for kids who have trouble learning because they need glasses. They told me they could do an exam and get him glasses, but the waiting list for an exam is 9 months out. However, if I could get the prescription, they could provide the glasses in the next couple weeks.I called Davich Optical, and was told an eye exam for glasses was only $40! I talked to my boss, and he agreed that $40 was something we could spare for Sam to see. So today I brought Sam in, and Dr. Chen helped us out.He was very kind, and patient with Sam. And to be fair, I imagine Sam is not the easiest patient given what seems to be a slight mental disability. (For example, Sam kept saying his first and last name was Sam, and he was born in 1986 when he is clearly much, much older). Regardless, Dr. Chen humored us and was able to figure out his Rx.And $40 for a glasses exam is very very affordable for your average person. Apparently a full comprehensive exam is $80, which is awesome. I know when it’s time to get my own eyes checked, I’ll definitely be coming into Davich Optical.Other pros: the entire staff is incredibly warm and friendly. Everyone that I talked to had a smile on, and spoke very warmly. Not one person had even the slightest micro-expression of being judgmental towards Sam.They had a charging station (to charge my phone) as well as a coffee and water cafe area.Two adorable cats — whom one staff member asked right away if we had an allergy. We didn’t but I appreciated how promptly she asked us, just in case.Everything was very clean and well displayed. Even though we weren’t getting glasses, they have a huge selection of very nice looking glasses at different price points, starting at $50. I was very impressed.If I could give higher stars, I would. Thank you Davich Optical and Dr. Chen.🤓
