I see that most of all these reviews that people give the glory to the dream center instead of God. Yes it is a religious based center but no person or building will change you. Only through the love and grace of God that this is available because without him none of it would be possible. You work your ministry through God and for God but God gets all the glory and praise no matter what.

Dream Center is a place where earth and heaven collide! Where God uses this place to bring hope to not only the city of Los Angeles but the WORLD. I live and work here. Dream Center is a faith based Rehab and can help individuals with life controlling issues such as drugs, abuse and poverty. I came in with a terrible addiction to meth. The dream center took me in and helped change my life. There is no other place like the Dream Center.

Amazing church. There was even a Mariachi band and a guest speaker. I even got free dinner. The church is down the street at Angeles temple

Awesome! Experience went for a STM(short term mission) it was an honor to serve along side the staff at the Dream Center. Theyre very welcoming, all the meals were freshly made and delicious. They serve the surrounding communities in so many ways between, grocery give aways, to Kids Jams where they go out into the inter cities of Las Angeles and mentor the kids play games with them and share the love of Jesus with them. They pick up trash in neighborhoods. The minister to the homeless. Its just an awesome place, they have DECIPLESHIP programs for people who are looking to change there lives, they help with addiction. The Presence of God Id definitely over the Dream Center. They are an inspiration and a Blessing to Las Angeles County.

I absolutely love the Dream Center and the work they do for the community. I enjoy all the events they organize that help improve conditions in people’s lives. Today my family and I went to the BACK TO SCHOOL BASH. We had a blast, and got lots of free school supplies, food , and an eye exam. We even got to meet some players from the Los Angeles Dodgers. I’m beyond grateful and bless to be a part of the dream center and Angelus Temple. Every time I feel that the world is full of evil this place reminds me theres still some good in this world. Seems like a good place to go if you dont have kids. Got turned away and ended up finding the union rescue mission.

Good place to rehabilitate for someone you love and or care for. Although some of the graduated residents there can and will let it gwt to thier heads, and feel as if they are running the world around them, or even believe they are now cops / head of Echo Park security. Or even worse, simply forget that they came to this place as addicts IN NEED !, and that the Love of our Lord God is who in charge.

This is 100%a cult. They convince vulnerable people to sign away their money, possessions, and rights to be returned only if and when dream center staff decide. Its abhorrent.

They are beyond amazing. Always very friendly. Love going here especially when a meal is needed.

Best recovery place for free. 1 year discipleship program, you just have to submit 100% to the Lords discipline. It must be in your heart to do it, otherwise youll just get through the motion. You must to be tired of all your mess and humble yourself can. You must change your mind set. You cant do your own will. You have to submit to the authority of the program and be still and know thats God want te teach you, train you so can you withstand the enemy; the devil. This place was Awesome I drove thru a drive thru free food giveaway. The food was free although donations are accepted I saw the car ahead of me leave a donation so I too left one.... We are living in a Pandemic we all to a degree are or have experienced some discomforts to say the least due to Covid, So whenever possible when able we should donate to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

After a year in the program i did not get accepted into second year and was basically told good luck after walking the stage and graduating i was given a few weeks to try to get into another program lol... in the year program no pay, or future planning happened within the program.

What a great great foundation a great organization and a great outreach to the community in LA I know they could only wish they could do more for the homeless despite how much they already do. I love the entire story the backstory If you dont know you need to find out.

DREAM BIG! Its been almost 20 years since I attended Pastors School at the Dream Center with a group of 13 from western New York. What we learned and experienced there changed many of our lives. Some are still volunteering in local ministries while others, such as myself, have entered full time, inner city ministry. Tens of thousands of lives have been changed because of the dream God gave Tommy and Matthew Barnett.

Went to pick up a free Turkey and all volunteer were very helpful.

I have been around to most faith based programs. Here is the reality! These organizations are occults. They are affiliated with each other. Here is a list to do research and investigations:East County Living Transitional Center, L.A. Dream Center, Teen Challenge, Victory Outreach, ect. During this covid-19 epidemic, lets call these organizations out on their schams. Lets put an end to the occult church services being held in echo park lake held by so called pastor John and Carlos. We are sick and tired of being harassed. Shout out to Devon Brown, Imhan, and the crew holding it all down.

I dont know how anyone could possibly score this place with anything other than 5 stars. The community work this team does is incredible, assisting foster case families, rehabilitation from addictions, feeding/ clothing the homeless and much more.I was blessed to work with them for a week meeting the needs of the broken and less fortunate people across LA.

The Dream Center its been such a help through situation all of us are going through.. theyve been helping with food diapers and food bank. Pastor Matthew Barnett has the biggest heart for the community

Very humble, very professional and super friendly.

I volunteered here for two weeks and let me share with you the amazing things that this place does to help out around so many communities families and anyone in need. 🤗 we traveled to IKEA🛒 and purchased furniture🛏🛋 for families. Also built and delivered. We also had food trucks 🚛serving fresh fruits and veggies also other food products for anyone who wanted free food. Oh my expletive there was extraordinary🥰 they are such a blessing to LOS ANGELES CITY 😇🏩🏙

My son has been there for a year, and has been sober for that year and hasnt smoke in a year. They have taught him how to depend on GOD in all things. I am so greatful for the Dream Center and he has decided to stay a another year. Thank you LORD.

The Dream Center is an amazing nonprofit that is clearly doing so much good in the Los Angeles area. Im from Dallas but had the opportunity to volunteer and see firsthand the assistance being offered to those in need. It was a great privilege to be able to assist with the food distribution ministry to both the elderly and families in need at one of the project sites in Los Angeles. I highly recommend the Dream Center Foundation as a nonprofit worthy of participation and investment.

Very loving people and good food

I went there in 1998. A friend from Church on the Way took me there but I dont remember why now. I was impressed with the size and various types of ministry found there. I plan to go back and check it out some more soon. Its in the former Queen of Angels hospital building on one of the many small hilltops in this part of L.A.Its just SE of Echo Park neighborhood .It would be a great place to set up an emergency communication room because of the location and many other services that live there.

The Dream Center is a dream come true for hundreds and hundreds of people!! They have a discipleship program for the broken down souls who need to get away from their drug and alcohol addictions and regain and remain a better walk with Christ! Then the Dream Center also have volunteers to help out to do outreach programs. They have the short-term members who are groups of churches all around the United States and sometimes we get churches from different countries. They also help with the outreach programs like the food truck where we go to the park or street and bag food up and pass it out to the homeless. Adopt A Block is amazing as well where they go to places where families need some essential groceries and items. Its amazing how Gods word travels. Last but not least they have a veterans program, thats where Im at! I am a veteran from the Texas National Guard and Ive been out of the military for a couple years. So they help vets like us for temporary housing. There are a couple vets that were actually homeless.. living on Skid Row and MacArthur Park now they have food, shelter and other tools they need to have a successful future. Another thing they do for us is set us up with the VA for our special benefits and other important stuff like housing and school benefits if we want to go to school. Good thing about it is that it is a one year program and they have a study booklet each week to read and study the word of God. Also morning devotion to read and study the word of God. Lastly goal packets we fill out and they check our progress monthly to see if we are steps closer to achieve our goals. Best of all we get the pleasure to go to one of the blessed and anointed churchs Ive ever been to called Angelus Temple every Thursday @7pm and Sunday @9am & 11am. Led by the visionary and anointed Matthew Barnett.. Every service is special for everyone and dozens of lives get changed for the better to serve the one and only God.

The Dream Center is an amazing place where Miracles happen everyday! They are a light in a very dark area and are all about seeing lives and the community transformed by the love of Jesus! I was there when it first opened i was blessed to be in the right place. I met pastor barrnett before he open the church on 1100glendale blvd. The church was a blessing to have for the homeless people who didnt have anywhere to go god is so good.!

They say home is where the heart is... well what if youre in one place and your heart is in another. In August I went on a short term missions trip to the Dream Center and when I arrived at home, I realized I had left my heart in LA. The Dream Center is doing amazing things and I will never forget my experience! God is so good and is doing amazing things in the city of LA.

I have had the opportunity to visit the DC and interact with the students in DCLS. I can not express how disappointed I was in what I heard going on and how a group of students were overheard saying horrible things about someone who I assume was another student. The horrifying part was I witnessed Staff listening to this conversation and chose to do nothing to stop this. I could not believe what I was witnessing and would not want my child to ever be apart of an organization that seems to look the other way while others are being so disrespectful. It is my understanding that this is a leadership school and I did not witness much in the way of leadership from the staff.

Big donation makes all homeless take disciple and people of God.You can volunteer outreach and residential usually focus on highly committed.I feel great joy when i meet homeless at Macarthur park and they go and start journey.What a big bliss and bless those who donate and serve here.Program is not flexible,but think about every these margin people get transform and help the others.
