I agree with the prior comments my husband has been admitted for almost 5 weeks and they wont release information, doctor keeps lying in when he will be released always telling me he is sedated etc. Im so afraid for his wellbeing. Doctor keeps emailing me with the wrong information all the time in when will I be able to see him or when will he be released. Pls I need help how to escalate this, they continue moving him and I dont even know where he is at the present time

This is the worst place ever and they are unprofessional. My dad went on a 14-day Voluntary hold and now they are violating his rights. He is ready to get out of this place but they wont release him. They are not giving him any information on why they are holding him. When I call my dad they are making excuses hes sleep, eating, or somebody on the phone. Im getting worried as if they are abusing him and they dont want him to tell. I know, Im not the first person that has been through this when their loved ones have gone to this VA hospital.I stay out of state.

I’m lucky to have an excellent number one in ladies’s health, but the relaxation of the sanatorium is extraordinarily subsidized up. i was mentioned a nap take a look at, and they referred to as to time table, telling me they have been sponsored up till APRIL 2020.... in October 2019. In preferred they come up with capacity news, after which make you wait months for observe-up. My psychiatrist endorsed a remedy, and if I had no longer asked to take some time to look at it myself, i might have taken a medicine that interacts with a medicine I’m currently taking THAT SHE PRESCRIBED!additionally, the urine. Dried. On. The. ground. It’s just a snippet of what I’ve experienced.

I cannot say enough good things about the W. LA Veterans Health Center. The doctors and staff are terrific. Im not sure President Trump had anything to do with the health care I am receiving, but I must say, I have received the best health care I could emagine.. I feel so lucky, and thank you all at the West Los Angeles VA Hospital.

Have been here more than a few time and have nothing but great things to say about my treatment. I just came in for monoclonal antibodies and the team has been so great thanks to the whole team! I was a bit out of it but I know Alan was my primary care nurse and he was so nice. But the whole team is great. Thank you all!

Gastroenterology Department of the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center is lack of integrity and internal control.Weve been tolerant that their front desk dont pick up phone calls, their residents dont know what they are doing, and the Medical Director are not responsible - but one thing unacceptable, their doctor Melissa Corson failed to show up on a scheduled visit, but dishonestly reported the patient to be the no show in the system.Submitted complaints twice to VA for this issue, requested the VA to follow the law to amend this fraudulent information on patients medical record. However, VA IRIS refused to admit the fact and kicked the ball back to the patient. We found out that the front desk of the GI department deleted the visit history to avoid an investigation.GI Clinic has been a failure to provide good quality of care to veterans, and wasting tax payers money. VA should give and pay veterans the option to seek care from commercial health systems.

Very professional staff. They have very young personnel, with very minimal experience, but they got to learn and get some confidence. Very appreciative of The VA for their services to support us veterans. Great to know we have a place to go when we need help with our health.

When i call the Medical Record Dept, there is a recording stating there are 23 people ahead of me, then there is silence. I even waited a few mins in silence, does this mean the virtual operator , hung up on me? And i tried this a few times, with the same results.

I just finished getting my second total hip replacement. The first one went smoothly and my physical therapist Karima was amazing. She was so professional, helpful, informative and just a pleasure to be around. She got me so set up for success when I had to go home. This hip replacement did not go quite as smoothly. BUT I got Karima again to help me rehab. When she walked in I knew I was in good hands. Thank you Karima and the west LA crew.

Staff people are low lifes! Very unprofessional. The poor vets and the treatment they get sucks. In the emergency room they sit the patients in a chair in front where everyone can see to take the vitals! The so called person that takes historys laughed at s man having a seizure. Terrible place and should be looked at by someone higher up!! Everything is old and needs to be updated. Good luck vets!! This is the price you pay for our country 🤔

I’m fortunate to have a good primary in Women’s Health, but the rest of the hospital is extremely backed up. I was referred to a sleep study, and they called to schedule, telling me they were backed up until APRIL 2020.... in October 2019. In general they give you potential news, and then make you wait months for follow-up. Student Doctors who constantly rotate through the clinics so you can retell your whole medical and psychiatric history over and over to a person who is studying you instead of helping you. . After years of trying to “fix” military injuries in the civilian world I finally tried the VA system....It works great and they seem to have far more knowledge of the types of problems that haunt Veterans. We all gripe, no matter how good or something is in our world, but I am thankful for the caregivers at the VA, both West LA and Sepulveda...

I’m on a new program started about a year ago and have DR CHANG and NURSE MERLYN... I’m receiving fantastic care.. they got me onto veterans choice program for neurosurgery for 10:31/17 and I had the best neurosurgeon money could buy at PIH and one nite in hospital . Took only one week to recover. I’m doing fantastic all paid by veterans affairs. I’m so grateful.. I was karate chopped by my CO in basic training and lived 28 yr with my disc pushed thru my spinal chord.

This er is absolutely disgusting. Its a nightmare. I cant belive veterans get treated here. The staff think they have PhDs and think they can assess people. When coming to this Er be ready to wait 7+ hours to just have vital signs read over and over and not get treated. I dont understand how this system encourages veterans to go here for help just to get treated like your lying about your pain or what you are feeling and for nurses to say ohh its a flu. No! Michelle, Rosalyn, and someone name Brooke have made my experience in this er the worst service I have EVER received. Instead of helping veterans these people actually making it worst and put on more stress to ill patients. I left there disappointed , frustrated, disgusted, and EXTREMELY ANGRY. I cant believe these are the services offered and rendered to me and my brothers in arms, that have fought for this country to come home and be treated this way by people that we supposed to count on. I hope that anyone that goes here never gets treated that way because is unjust and inhumane!

In summary this place is a disgrace to the medical profession. Homeless people hide and camp out in abandoned unused parts of the hospital. There are too few doctors, and too few nurses the nurses especially the short Phillippino woman name Tina yell and scream and insult each other and patients . they have no gernies and I saw a man get dropped when a ambulance was trying to transfer him from the only gerny they had to a wheelchair. He sat and bleed for hours before his wife called the ambulance back to take then some where else because he had passed out she could not wake him and the nurses would not see him yet. The nurses need to take anger management classes and stress management classes. they also need to listen to the patients I told them I could not breathe well and something was not right I was told no its just congestion go home. I refused to go home till a doctor saw me. My x rays showed I had pneumoniaand proved the nurse wrong had I listened to her and gone home I could have died. do not go here if it could be life threatening the doctors are great but too few and the nurses are just terrible. and they do not have enough gernies and they are not using all the rooms they could be using in the building much of the building is abandoned or unused.
