I havent gotten my nails done at powder beauty since before the pandemic and before they moved. I was finally able to book an appointment at their no location and it was perfect timing. The day of my appointment I had my engagement dinner(1st of mini get together because of COVID) that evening. I am trying the color (dip powder) that I want to have for my wedding next year. Since it has been a long time since Ive gotten my nails done I got the works. I got a herbal bath pedicure with hot stone, callous removal and wax. For my manicure I got dip powder as well as wax on my hands. It was a good day to pamper myself for 3 hrs. Ill be back next month.

If you have been looking for a nail salon with quality and comfort, look no further. Joy was so courteous and made sure everything was taken care of. You should not leave unhappy because you have so many Touchpoints with her to correct any issues you may have. The music and decor were beautiful and entertaining. I will book a dip powder manicure next time when they are fully open. FYI their address is supposed to be ROW DTLA and no longer the LA Brea Ave address.

Sunshine is the best. I love her spirit and she does my nails so beautifully. I couldnt see myself going anywhere else. Id drive 45 minutes to get here. The entire vibe is peaceful and loving. A must visit to pamper yourself and your spirit.

Treated myself to a BIRTHDAY facial today😊. Havent had a facial in a while, so was really looking forward to my appointment. When I arrived, the owner (or Manager?) Sunny explained that she was waiting for the keys to open and offered to pay for Gigi (another customer) and me to enjoy a beverage and snack on her while she was waiting for keys. Gigi and I walked to La Brea Bakery ( a few steps away) and enjoyed talking for the few minutes we waited for Sunny to retrieve the keys. Once she came to pick us up from La Brea Bakery, we proceeded to our appointments. Natasha gave me an excellent facial, that was super relaxing. The salon floor plan is very spacious and open. The facials are given in a loft type of area on the 2nd floor. The decor is unique and beautiful. I plan on returning at my first opportunity. This was a true example of how excellent customer service made the the difference! Thank you Sunny and Natasha

This review is from February before closure! Please look at the terrible job they did on my nails on yelp. This review is for the right business and I have photos!TERRIBLE. The main nail woman who did my nails. Kept telling me to relax... and when I finally said I am very relaxed she was just very rude. I was quiet because it was obvious to me the woman was very hot and sweating. I assumed it was the mid life change for her. So I tried not to bother her. I think what people normally like here is a solid powder polish. I did the french tip powder polish. It cost extra and looked horrific!!!!Please dont be mistaken, Its not ageist? She was visibly sweating and also being very irritable towards me.... I am a woman and writing this review via my husband laptop. You let me leave paying full price for this terrible work and its okay for me to voice my experience. You have plenty of good reviews to over shadow my one negative review.Not to mention... I asked her to please go light on the nail glue and what do you think she did... she was heavy handed with the nail glue. I am 26 but may look younger and if anyone was ageist, it was the woman doing my nails... taking advantage of the fact it was *( my first powder polish) and thinking I wouldnt bring up the issues. Whats sad was I really just wanted a good first experience with you guys. I think you probably are a good salon but just gave me a terrible nail job. Certainly you do better for others but I still think back and think how bad it made me feel leaving.

This is my neighborhood salon! I love the owners and how they have made this place a very relaxing vibe, all down to the music playlists. I get the dip manicure, pedicure and my eyebrows done here and Ive never had a complaint.As mentioned this salon is geared towards a relaxing environment so that you can enjoy your time there. If you are looking for a place just to get in and get out, this probably isnt the place for you.Would definitely recommend!

Very nice staff! Nice and clean spot. Very relaxing, neo-soul type of music in the background, and they have sparkling water available. Think of a spa type of day. I got a Signature Pedi that was $35. I will definitely be back! Thank you! Oh, and it’s a Black owned business! I will support again :).

The inside is gorgeous and they have tea and water for you. Very clean. I wasnt able to see if she oppened new tools for me.Very friendly staff, you feel welcomed.My nail fell out after 4 days only!!! Very dissapointed becasue it costs $44 .I came back to LA after a weekend away, but now I see they are closed on Monday. Had to cover the naked nail with a nail polish I had at home.... emberrasing to walk around like this. Hopefully they will be able to fix it for me I will call back on Tuesday!

I loved it. My first time. My mother, my son and I came for the first time. We got manicures, pedicures, dip manicure with extensions, and a facial. We immensely enjoyed the entire experience. On top of that it is black owned with an array of technicians of differing ages and ethnicities. I live an hour away but will be back whenever I get my nails done. Congratulations to the owners for having an amazing company with a beautiful spirit! I hope this succeeds and grows beyond your wildest expectations!Please support because the salon is superb and for the love of diversity because they are driving that bid on their lane.

They truly do the best job here. They also have the most amazing color range for all forms of nail polish. I highly recommend the SNS powder nails they do here. My nails have gotten SO much stronger since coming here!!

This is a fantastic salon. Everyone is so kind and professional - they even remembered me from my first visit to my second. I got a gel manicure on my first visit because I didnt really know what a powder manicure was. While I was there, the owner filled me in on what powder was and why she felt it was better. I went back two weeks later and got a powder manicure. Its now over 2 weeks later and my nails look like I got them done yesterday. Its the best manicure Ive ever had. Cannot recommend Powder Nails enough!

Rosie is great, I use to get my nails done by her about 4/5 years ago. She moved salons, and I lost her. Well, I recently found her and couldnt be more pleased. Great work, attention to detail and truly a pleasure to sit and chat with while get my gel mani.

Got my eyebrows shaped. Excellent. Natasha is amazing! Will be back!Updated:Ive since had more services at Powder. I like that it is conveniently located and the owner is great. I love supporting Black-owned businesses.So 5 stars for the eyebrow waxing. I feel like its the best job on my brows in a long time.I would say 3.5 stars for the dip powder manicure. I loved the color that I picked out and felt the experience was great. I did show up early and still had to wait past my appointment time. My manicurist was very sweet so was everyone who worked there. This is very refreshing and a standout in my nail salon experience. I had to take away stars simply because the dip manicure barely lasted a week. And was completely off in two. I helped it along once the nails got so chipped they didnt look good anymore. I like the dip powder and felt it was better than gel but I wish it had lasted longer. To be fair, its supposed to get better over time? I would give it another try.

My first time here. I came on a Saturday so they were very busy and had a bit of a wait which I expected. Everyone was extremely nice and professional. They did a beautiful job shaping my nails. I will definitely be coming back in three weeks to get new colors and a manicure. Thanks ladies 💖

I’ve been going to Powder Beauty Co. for over 6 months now and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed. Sonny and Joy are absolutely wonderful. The environment is clean, comfy, and totally glam. All the technicians really know their stuff and put every ounce of effort into every nail. Definitely treat yourself to one of their pedicures! The copper tubs and rose water ( they also have lavender or mint I believe) will have you feeling like a goddess! Have a glass of red or white wine or relaxing hot tea and let the friendly family like feel of this amazing little retreat wisk the hustle and bustle of LA away. Street parking is available, I’ve never had too much of an issue finding any, however it is La Brea so a little patience is needed. All that goes away once inside this great little gem and the pampering begins.

While searching for a nail salon in Los Angeles that did dip manicures and soak off, I found Powder Nails. It had a great Yelp review and I was able to make an appointment very easily. Theres not many nail salons in LA that are open on Monday, so I thought this was a score! Its located at a busy area on La Brea. Street parking is available. I was greeted right away by Sunny, I was already happy because I love that name. She was such a doll! She explained the salon and that her daughter owned it. Its about a year young. There was only one woman doing manicures and one woman doing pedicures, so the whole process was pretty slow. Im not sure if theres any more staff during the rest of the week, but I was certainly there for a long time. It took me over an hour just to soak off my dip because they didnt use the drill at first. I was able to get my pedicure while my dip was soaking off. I was very happy with my pedicure, but not happy about how long the manicure was taking. Luckily, I was in no rush and I really enjoyed Sunnys sweet disposition and company. At least she always told me how long she thought everything would take. There were a few ladies that came in with broken nails to get fixed, I was hoping that was a coincidence and not that the dip didnt last long for them. I came in and showed Kelly, my manicurist a photo of a natural, french ombre. She said no problem, she would be able to do that. I also had a broken nail that she had to cut off and put on a tip. Shout out to Kimmy who did a great pedicure, Kelly who did a great manicure, and Sunny who did my soak off & who was great all around. My nails, unfortunately only lasted about a week and a half, when they usually last about 2 1/2 weeks, they only looked very good for the first week and the entire experience was very expensive. I loved the decor and Sunny told me that her daughter decorated it. Shout out to the daughter/owner for some seriously amazing decorating skills. I likely wont return here because my nails didnt last long and it was very expensive, but I did enjoy my experience there. I didnt see anyone getting a facial. I noticed they changed their name from Powder Nails & Facial to now Powder Beauty. It was comfortable, laid-back, and they do serve delicious tea!

This was my second visit there. The first visit I only got a manicure because there was an appointment mixup. This time I got dip powder with extensions. Im pleased with the outcome. Elenny provided excellent service abs great conversation. The aesthetics were beautiful blue and copper and white. The environment is relaxing and quiet. They use all nontoxic products so the process takes longer but it is well worth the pampering. If this is your first time going there make sure youre booking for the right service and make sure, I repeat make sure 🗣️ YOURE ON TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. Because they are by appointment only they usually am have clients scheduled after you.I am looking forward to my next visit 😊😁

Oh this place was nice... the only is my nails cracked after 2 weeks which is no soo bad thinking I usually get it done every 4 weeks, also when it crack it still look nice till I have time to get then done again. Will recomend this place... just because they actually did a good job.

Very expensive and horrible ! I did a gel manicure yesterday and today I have already chipped nail!!!! And they charged me 50 bucks plus 15 percent tip! I ended up paying 57 for the most horrible manicure in my life. The place is dirty, they don’t sterilize the clippers at all!!! And for 50 dollars I didn’t even remove my cuticle! I usually go to Q salon and pay there for best gel manicure 45 dollars. This place is such a ripoff!!! I want my money back!

I loved everything about my experience here! The ladies were friendly and professional. Great atmosphere and I loved my luxury pedicure, it was a splurge for me but so worth it. Overall just a warm and relaxing experience without the chemical smells of other salons. Ill definitely be back.

I rarely write reviews, but I am really impressed by how warm and welcoming Powder is. The staff is so kind, so professional and the space is really beautiful. I moved to LA four months ago from NYC and I was bummed to have left my old nail salon behind. The ladies at Powder have changed that entirely. I am so glad I found them! And my nails look soooooo cuuuuute—and can now withstand all the work I do with my hands without damaging my nails like gel manicures have done in the past!
