I was referred to Lana at Refuge by a friend & she was kindly able to squeeze me in last minute. She is AWESOME and gave me a new hairstyle that I love. Shes now my regular stylist. Affordable, great attitude, and will listen to you and give you what you want. LOVE her!

Love this gem of a salon! Simone is AMAZING! Ive never (truly, never!) had someone take SUCH care with my highlights. She is a color wizard! And so lovely. Prices are reasonable for the quality of service - Simone really went above and beyond, and I left basically skipping down the street. Highly recommend!!!

Refuge Salon is hands down the best salon in Los Angeles! Every time I go there I am never disappointment. All of the stylists are friendly, professional, and they really know what they are doing when it comes to hair. I never get my hair cut anywhere else as they are very knowledgeable and let me know what style would work best for me! They always make sure I get the cut exactly how I want it to look and its always a good time at the salon. I highly recommend any of the hairstylists as they are all great at what they do and the best part is they accept walk-ins! Check them out!

The space once housed a window and door manufacturer. Now, Refuge manufactures some great looking hair.Appointments are done on-line with stylists that rent out a space in the Salon (a refuge for up and coming stylists).I had my first ever appointment at the salon with Dora a very young-looking girl of no more than 20 years of age. When I first saw her I though, this girl has no experience doing hair - I will not be happy with the outcome. But, I was wrong.Dora did an assessment of my hair and after a brief discussion of what I wanted started with my ombre. Having had the process done before, Dora was good with her technique and quite efficient. Had she not missed a strand of hair that did not get glossed/toned, the entire service would have been flawless. But, she did miss a strand of highlighted hair and it is noticeable.Overall, though Dora was really good to work with. Best of all, she didnt get into any small talk. When I get my hair done, all I want to do is sit quietly.

Have been going for years and Mariam has consistently given me the best haircuts Ive ever had anywhere. And prices are very reasonable. Great vibe and fun crew. Wow space. After cuts, always have lunch or dinner in the neighborhood at one of the many great restaurants.

Shannon Dean gave me a fantastic razor cut, working some magic on my thick hair that I have cut short into a pixie. He was clearly very skilled, and Ive definitely found my new stylist.

I live in West Covina and travel to Highland Park just so Lauren can do my hair. Since I started going to her my hair has grown a lot. shes got good hands my hair is healthy, I love the colors she achieves in my hair and the place is always clean.
