Posted on behalf of my mother:The first visit we were impressed with Dr. Tangel due to listening to my mom and trying to help her. He ordered a CT scan. The second visit they didn’t have a chart for Mom, no one seemed to know why she was there. We asked Dr. Tangel what the CT scan showed he acted like he forgot he had even ordered one and then they couldn’t even find the results of the scan. So we drove an hour to Hays for nothing. Then we had a phone visit which lasted 17 minutes; about 3 of those minutes were actually talking to Dr. Tangel. And even then he seemed to forget why Mom had even come to him. At one point he asked Mom what she thought, if she should keep coming to see him...We asked him a follow up question of what he told us he thought her issue was from the first visit, but he never answered that question. Then as an afterthought he mentioned Mom had a nodule he “thought was benign.” Last thing he said was “I don’t think it’s cancer.” On the contrary to all of this, there was one nurse who was awesome named Ron; exceptionally kind and helpful.

Was decent enough to listen to me on the floor when I had a serious bout with asthma. He seemed able to understand that I have been trained since 1969 and continue to train at NATIONAL JEWISH HEALTH Dr Martin to learn about my disease and the medical changes throughout the years..Follow up after hospital discharge once a month for how long?Afterwards however I found that having the regular appointment and having to use of wheelchair in order to even see him was just too much of a burden on me considering he did very little during that time and it went from room to room looking different patients a different time. I call these kind 7-Eleven doctors. I have had a chronic disease Since birth and I have 64 years of experience with doctors and nurses.

He is awesome. He took care of my dad. Now he takes care of me.

Dr.Douglas is first doctor after many doctors i saw in the last 10 years in different places(Greece(Thessaloniki),California(Los Angeles,Sillicon Valley) that gave the exact diagnosis of my case and it was 100% rightI stop using wrong medicine that i was given for so long that they acted negatively and also not fully fixing my problem (it was just temporary)Im very thankful and happy to met him and have him for my doctorHe is honestly truly qualified for doctor because he really cares of patient and he looks deep to find solution for any medical/pneumologic/pulmonologic problem

Dr Tangel is a Pulmonary & Critical Care doctor. It is ALWAYS easy to get an appointment. Dr Tangel has a wonderful bedside manner. He treats his patients as intelligent human beings. I found that what Dr Tangel told me in his office was exactly what he noted on my patient records. If you ever get a copy of your medical records you will see that most doctors patient record do not correspond with what your doctor tells you while you are in the office. In fact I was so upset that I asked Dr Tangel to be my Primary Care doctor in addition to treating my pulmonary issues.I was a patient of Dr Tangel from 2008 through 2014. The only reason I am no longer a patient is that I am moving to Southern California. I did try to convince him to move his office out there but sadly he declined. I plan on moving back to Northern Colorado and I will definitely go back to Dr Tangel.
