When I first met Dr. Horak I was in constant pain and barely walking. With a walker I could walk a short distance. I explained to Dr. Horak I had never been to a chiropractor and was very skeptic to try, but I needed relief and would try anything. After the initial visit, he explained it would take a few trips to settle the pain down. Imagine my surprise when I had two nights in a row without pain!Dr. Horak kept encouraging me to do exercises to strengthen my back, and reminding me it would take some time. He kept doing the treatment and I kept returning realizing I could now walk with a cane and take short walks outside. without the walker. I plan on returning until I can take a longer walk without an assisted advice and be completely mobile.I would personally recommend Dr. Horak to anyone dealing with pain and stiffness. His office hour are flexible to accommodate people working and they are always pleasant and helpful.

Skeptical: I began having low back pain after having seen a previous chiropractor. Needless to say I stopped seeing that chiropractor and vowed never to see another one again. I have had x-rays, Physical Therapy, muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory medication, ice, heat, E-Stem, etc. Nothing seemed to help. This went on for a period of 10 years with being woken up at night in excruciating pain. I finally broke down and took a gamble that if a chiropractor caused it, maybe a different one could fix it. I can sleep now! There is still some work that needs to be done, but Dr. Horak was gentle as he was aware of my pain level and I am continuing to improve progressively. It didnt happen over night, but I am improving with each visit. He along with his assistant Mercedes are always Professional and pleasant. You are sure to be greeted by a smile with Mercedes. She seems to know everyone by Name the moment they walk in the door. The appointments times are flexible and there is very little wait time. THANK YOU Dr. Horak and Mercedes!

I went to Horak Chiropractic and Acupuncture to get rid of my headaches and to see if Dr. Horak could help me sleep at night better. He did acupuncture and pushed on my back in different places. My headaches went away the next day and they have stayed away. I can sleep the whole night now and if I do wake up, he taught me what to do to get back to sleep right away. Life is good!

Part 1: Before seeing Dr. Horak, I suffered from a sharp pain in my lower left hip that affected me when I walked, bent over, worked out, drove, etc. I had seen physical therapists who recommended stretching and medical doctors who recommended medication regiments, but none of them had any lasting effect for me. After seeing Dr. Horak for about a week, my pain started to drastically subside. Knowing that lasting change takes time (since it takes a lot of time for the condition to cause pain of this severity), I continued for a few more weeks. After about my third week, I had no pain while driving, walking, bending over, or even performing SQUAT OR DEADLIFT! I now see Dr. Horak on a consistent basis to keep myself healthy and in-line as a maintenance treatment so that I will always feel my best!Part 2: I am currently a college graduate on my way to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I have shadowed MANY chiropractic doctors, and after receiving adjustments from Dr. Horak, I decided to study under him for some time. Never in all of my shadowing hours (I’ve done a lot of them) have I met a chiropractor so compassionate towards his patients, so committed to seeing lasting change in his adjustments, and so passionate about what he does every single day. I’ve been receiving treatment from Horak Chiropractic for about a month now, and before then I had experienced shoulder discomfort that started a couple years ago. My shoulder discomfort has decreased tremendously, and I still have adjustments left in my treatment plan (which I’m looking forward to). If you are looking for a chiropractor, I cant imagine there is one as good in Lincoln as Dr. Horak. From the moment you walk in, you can see why this place is the best. He and the staff are uber-professional. They dont over-schedule so getting appointments isnt hard and once you are there, it is rare that you have to wait but if you do, it is only for a few minutes. Dr. Horak is good at explaining what is going on with your spine using xrays and then he discusses how he will treat the issue. I have gone to him for about a month and the pain I had is totally gone. I dont think 5 stars is a high enough rating for this place.

Due to lower back pain, I cannot focus on work. Dr. Horaks treatment helps a lot, the major pain that was down to the leg disappeared after about 3 month, and keep improving now.
