My mom was at Shawnee Manor over 4 months and I just want to let everyone know if you come to that difficult decision not not hesitate to go to Shawnee Manor. every single employee treated my mom like she was their own mom. It is a very comforting feeling knowing your parent is cared for in such a manner. Thank you soooooo much!!!!! Lisa H

I have tried over the last several weeks to get in contact with my Uncle. I have sat on the phone for over 30 minutes at a time and the phone just rings with no response. If I do get anyone to answer they transfer me and I usually get hung up on. This is not acceptable.Someone at your facility needs to fix this issue immediately!

TRANSFERRED FROM IOS ON SUNDAY...6/12/19..TOLD THE NURSE ON DUTY THAT I WANTED TO BE WOKEN UP DURING THE NIGHT BECAUSE I WANTED TO BE ON TOP OF THE. MIND YOU I ARRIVED AT THE FACILITY ON SUNDAY WITH. APAIN LEVEL OF 7 AND KNEE SLIGHLY SWOLLRM..YEPYOU GUESSED, I WAS NOT WOKEN DURING THE NIGHT AND THERE THE PAIN TOOK LEAD..MY PAIN LEVEL SHOT UP TO A 9.5 AND STQAYED THERE THE REMAINDER OF MY STQY. I WAS JUST INFORMED BY THE CASE MANAGER WHO TOLD ME THQT DR GIVE DIFFERENT MEDICINE TO PAYTIENTS DUH I KNOW THAT..HOW CAN A NURSE PASSING MEDS DO NOT BECOME SUSPECIOUS THQT NO ANTIBIOTICS ESD WAS ORDERED...I WOULD NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE...I WOULD ALSO NEVER RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE..MY PAIN OS STILLL A 9 AND MY KNEE IS SWOLLEN AND WARM TO TOUCH..IF I CATCH AN INFECTION IN HERE..I AM GOING TO SUE..THEY DROPPED THE BALL..IF I COULD LEAV E A NEGATIVE SCORE IT WOULD BE. A NRGWTIVR 10...SO HAPPY TO BR GETTING OUT TOMORROW

Was contacted right away when I inquired about their stna class information. I filled out the application and talked to somebody who said she would call me back in the next few days. Im glad I didnt wait because here we are 2 months later and that call never came. I got the certificate on my own and will never apply here.

Awful. If I could give them zero stars, I would! The neglect of my grandmother was beyond belief. She went full days without being changed. We came down from out of state and found her clothing soaked in her own feces, as well as all of the bedding. She was never changed into her nightgown prior to bed, had she been, they would have found she needed to be tended to. NO ONE came in to check on her! We had to call an aid to change her, we mentioned she seemed hot, it took the aid 4 attempts at getting a proper temperature reading. Her temp was 104, the nurse was called to bring in aspirin.....The nurse took OVER an hour to administer the medication. From there the doctor was called and she was transported to the Hospital via EMT. When the EMT asked the nurse what her last temp reading was, her reply was I dont know, I forgot to write it down. At this point I was beyond upset with the staff and facility. When we arrived in ER we learned that her port was not being properly cleaned and it was now infected, she had a UTI from not being cleaned properly and in the week and a half she was there, her health had deteriorated severely. Please, do not put your loved one into this facility. This treatment is unacceptable, it was pure neglect on the facilitys end.

I love Shawnee manor its a good place for people who need help with there life

Not real impressed wit this place. My mom was admitted last night and no one greeted her, Noone came in to help her get ready for bed. She didnt have the call light within her reach. One aide stated she didnt know how to help her with her walker. Didnt get her breakfast till late today. I used public restrooms and no soap in either. The food needs some improvement.

I was a patient 2 years ago . I was in for rehab after a bad motorcycle accident. Worse place in the world . Aids were descent but overall care sucked .. think twice before putting a loved one at that facility .

Staff stole my mother in laws Xmas gifts. Director said it did not happen but it did. They were gone. Blew us off like we were morons. Never put anyone in that hellhole.

Good staff. very friendly.
