I have been seeing Dr. Tylkin for three years. I have never had any problem with her, but I agree with the previous commenters that her staff is incredibly rude. They give miscommunication and when you ask to clarify they get an attitude.

My family has/had been seeing Dr. Tylkin for 6 years. She herself is ok, not stellar, but the handling of the office is awful! You cant get through ever, the office person who is Tylkins daughter is rude, inconsistent what she says and his no understanding or compassion. We will no longer be a part of a money grubbing poorly run business!

She is a great doctor! Not sure where the negative reviews came from. I have been her patient since 2016

Dr. Tylkin is the most compassionate Doctor l have ever had and will continue to have no one can ever say anything negative about her.If you had a negative experience then you need to re-evaluate yourself this Doctor is being the Normal she is exceptional and caring.I have read reviews and l am beside myself.I have been with this Doctor for years and l suffer from PTSD due to a Home Invasion.I remember l couldnt look out of a window or answer a door thanks to Dr. Tylkin l am as normal as l can possibly be after my husband was shot nine times and my house burned down by arson.This Doctor is Amazing there is no negativity about her at all ever!I thank her and her Staff!

Worst doctor Ive ever been to. Ive seen counselors and psychiatrists for over 10 years and never have I been treated so poorly and disrespected in all my years of treatment. She treated me like a second class citizen. Didnt care about my thoughts. I couldnt even finish one sentence without being interrupted. I am a office manager at a dentist office and have years of customer service experience. The fact that this woman is still allowed to practice is unfathomable. Please if you are truly trying to get help DO NOT waste anytime with this Doctor.

Please, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you need a psychiatrist. My fiance recently started seeing her in late 2018 because of some depression related issues. She has never been medicated inthe past, but was looking for any sort of medical advice. After meeting with her for only a few minutes, she concluded that she should be medicated -- fine. But thats not the end. After a month or so of getting used to the new medicine, she then mis-prescribed her medicine (after my fiance clarified with her multiple times what she was currently taking). After two days of taking the wrong medication, my fiance was getting worried that the doctor messed up and consulted the pharmacist and called the office multiple time over the course of almost a week (to no answer). The pharmacist agreed there had to be mistake because it is not normal to switch anti-depression medication to a completely different medicine after only a month of treatment. After finally getting a hold of Dr. Tylkin she said oh no, you should not be taking that, it should be this other one! and proceeded to fill a new prescription for the original medication. Huge red flags. After this incident (at the next follow up appointment), she continually said we should up your dose and would then reference the wrong medication (the one that she mis-prescribed to begin with). Fast forward to June 2019. My fiance had an appointment scheduled. Unfortunately (our fault here) that appointment fell on the same day we were moving about an hour away. As such she had to cancel. My fiances concern was she only had enough medication to last her through July 2019 and it is ill advised to halt treatment abruptly. So she called and spoke to Dr. Tylkin and expressed these concerns. Dr. Tylkin said that she would be able to refill her medication for her, but would need to see her before any subsequent refills. fast forward to end of July 2019. The prescription was never refilled... she forgot. My fiance called every day for a week (sometimes multiple times a day) to find out what was going on - no response. We spoke to a pharmacist who said it is not advised to just stop taking anti-depressants abruptly because of potential side effects. Today is her first day with no medicine. We got a hold of her this morning and expressed our concerns. Upon finding out that we would be looking for a new psychiatrist (partially because of the move), she then denied the refill and said we should just find a new doctor then to fill the prescriptions if we werent going to see her anymore. We are speaking with a pharmacist today to hopefully figure out how to curb any potential side effects while we look for a new doctor. Doctors have a fiduciary duty to their patients, and Dr. Tylken violated that. Do not send someone you love to see her.

I really like Dr. Tylkin. She spends enough time with me, asks me important questions and is accommodating with refills. Shes an interesting person - not an overmedicated, emotionless robot doctor.

Paid $450 for a second opinion for developmentally disabled brother (who has the mind of a toddler) and the State guardianship office leaned on her so she decided to take my money but opin in agreement with the State vendor Carole Rosanova that my brother should be heavily drugged with a bunch of Haldo and Depakote. My friend who referred her begged me not to file a complaint with the State licensing board which would have gone nowhere anyway. Doesnt seem ethical -- should have recused herself once the State interfered but oh no she took my money and did not give it a second thought.

The worst. Every appointment i have ever had was over an hour later than scheduled.i am here now and it has been and hour and fifteen min past my scheduled apt. I have no idea how she keeps the doors open. Thank god i have found another doctor.
