It was okay. I came in as a walk in for a gel full set. She was a very sweet lady and very attentive to detail. But I have to admit it is not my prettiest set of nails Ive gotten. First time here off of a recommendation from a friend, maybe next time 🤷🏽‍♀️

Had a great manicure this morning by Christian! He did an amazing job. I was not sold on dip nails due to a bad experience at another nail shop. Christian assured me he knew what he was doing and as you can see he did a beautiful job! I highly recommend Christian at Onyx Nails!

My wife absolutely loves this place. And to be honest, so do I. The staff is super nice and treat her really well. Thi is an amazing artist when it comes to nails and everyone should go there. My wife has been letting her do her own designs the last few times weve been there and she does fantastic work.

The pedicure is top notch! In fact, I would highly recommend to anyone. The wax services ... notso much. I previously got a wax there with no issues but today, I paid $42 for just waxing services (normally $27 at my usual place) and have to go home and not only attempt to fix my eyebrows but also redo my chin they charged $20 for. Not to mention the girl got wax in my hair & covered my black shirt in powder. So, instead of going out to treat myself for my birthday, I’m headed back home to try to fix everything that went wrong with my wax. This was my birthday treat to myself & honestly, I’m so disappointed

2 strikes, caused my daughter a bad ingrown toenail that required antibiotics, gave them a 2nd try and as he’s doing our nails and massaging our hands he’s updating his co-workers on how his entire family is home with a horrible stomach bug and that all he’s been doing for days is cleaning up vomit! Very unprofessional decision to be there working without telling his clients beforehand. Won’t be back!

I was really excited to try a new nail place, and my full set turned out really pretty, but then 5 days after I got them done, one popped off, and seven days after, several started literally (as pictured) splitting down the middle. I work in an office and dont do any heavy weight-lifting, so usually a full-set lasts me about 2 weeks before I need a fill-in (and thats just because theyre growing out, not because theyre literally falling off and breaking in half) so needless to say, I will NOT be back.

Sandy is awesome for both deluxe pedicures and dip powder! She shapes my toe nails & finger nails exactly the way I like them! Never disappointed with her work!

Onyx Nails offers Massage Therapy! Tina Lee is absolutely amazing! I have Lupus and pain is very much a part of everyday life. Tina has over 20 years of experience working with all types of massage. She has just the right amount of pressure whether deep tissue or relaxation. She easily found points of stress that needed attention. I feel so much better when She is done. Her pricing is more than fair for the services and expertise she offers. I am so happy getting my nails done led to such an awesome massage therapist!

I had a great walk in experience last week at Onyx nails. The only issue I had was one of the Asian nail techs was rude when I pointed out that they were more expensive than the other nail places in Lexington. She was a bit overwhelming with her excuse as to why they were more money. At the end of the day it was a question not a test....Since they did have good reviews, I had a pedicure and a gel manicure for $70. And I always tip accordingly as a customer. The American nail tech did a awesome job, I cant remember her name. But she was professional and quick. I will be using her again when needed.I dont visit nail shops often so I didnt realize this was fee people pay for nails and feet on a regular basis. I normally go to a cosmetology school, but they were closed last Thursday. Yes the schools do gels nails amongst other services. Give them a try.There is plenty of free parking. The nail shop was has really nice atmosphere and everything was clean. Other than the check in mishap I had not issues with the service. I was very pleased with my experience with Onyx nails. Free coffee is at the door with good coffee creme.Tip: They do offer a free 10 day guarantee on your nails.

I went to Onyx after reading some reviews, that spoke highly of them. All I needed(yes...big time need), was a pedicure. My tech was Mrs. Lee and she really made me feel comfortable and did a phenomenal job on my pedicure. The other techs were friendly and very engaging while they worked. It seemed like almost all the clients there were long time regulars.The shop is decorated very nice. Overall my entire experience was fantastic and I will become a regular client of Onyx Nails.

I have been here twice so far and both experiencs were great. I had Patrick who did my nails and he was amazing. My nails look great and he explained to me about trimming my toes so that they dont get in grown. The pricing is very decent and the quality is very very good. The people who work here are very polite and have wonderful customer service.

So I purchase a full set of nails the week before Valentines Day and the week of Valentines Day my nails started lifting!! Because I am a new Business owner in the Lexington area I have been searching for a new nail tech and I really thought my search was over until I called back on Saturday to speak to a manager and the the nail tech that actually did my nails answer the phone I told her what happened and even told her because I was busy I couldnt come in sooner....Now I didnt ask for anything for free but I wanted something off my Service being that I purchased a full set and it didnt last!! I normally dont write reviews on a Business but what made it so bad was when I called back a second time to speak to management the nail tech made like she was the owner....When youre in Business youre in Busy to keep Business and your tone and how you treat people can either bring the business to you or run the Business away!! I really like the nail tech but if youre going to be charge higher prices make sure your work matches the price I have had really bad experiences with nail techs here in Lexington and I wont purchase any more full sets just for the whole nail to fall off!! I will be traveling back to my old nail tech in Columbia just unprofessional and the quality of work was poor!!

Called to make a 1 o’clock appointment. Got there at 1. They told us 15 minutes, no big deal. They told us another 20 minutes after that. Whatever. We waited. 2 o’clock they sat one of us in some water. Needless to say we walked out. Absolutely ridiculous. Will not be back. What was the point of calling for an appointment??? Very disappointed.

Pat began to switch my appointment time and days on me, he did the same to my mother, without any explanation, VERY DISAPPOINTED, everyone seemed so nice.

This was my first time at Onyx Nails. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Jerry (the owner) did my acrylic full set with gel. My appointment was booked for 2:30 pm. They sat me around 2:45 pm. I didn’t mind the wait because it gave me time to choose a nail color and I understand that appointments can take longer then expected to satisfy a customer. Therefore, I don’t mind waiting for them to make another customer happy with their service. Jerry was very kind and personable. He let me show him a picture of what I wanted and succeeded in making my nails look exactly how I imagined them to be. He even redid my thumbs free of charge (without me asking) because my cuticles were not cooperating -my fault, not theirs. Pat was funny too. I enjoyed the overall experience and vibe of the salon. Everyone was friendly and I enjoyed all of their sense of humor. The salon is clean and decorated very well. The waiting room is by far the cutest and biggest I have seen ever. I noticed they had a mini fridge with beverages as well as a coffee cart. I would recommend this salon to anyone and I will definitely be returning! :)

The usual place I went to closed and I know a few people that use Onyx nails, I was not disappointed at all. They were all very friendly and Christian did an amazing job. Ill will definitely be back and will recommend them when I hear anyone looking.

I was pleasantly surprised by this nail salon! When pulling up in the parking lot I was a bit unsure (it’s located by a closed grocery store), but was reassured once I walked inside. The salon is very clean and is very nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and even worked me and my daughter in for a same-day appointment. They were quite busy, but were very efficient and I had no wait time for my appointment. They made sure that I knew to schedule future appts a day ahead or so to guarantee I got my desired time, and I appreciated that. They did a great job with my pedicure... I will definitely return for more in the future!

Everyone in this salon is professional but very chill and laid back! I actually have fun coming here lol T has rescued my nails from a previous horrible experience! Absolutely love this salon. I used to go to Blush, but they became too overpriced and I just had a few too many bad experiences. Came to Onyx, and I loved the atmosphere. Jerry did my nails and toes and he was fantastic. I am usually in so much pain when getting my nails done because I bite my nails so much, but it hardly hurt. And he fixed my toe nails after I messed them up twice! Definitely plan on coming back!

Showed up at 5 for pedicure . Told no they didnt have time. Evidently the sign that says walk ins welcome is not true and probably should turn off the open sign. Great way to do business .

Decided to try out Onxy to get an SNS manicure and was incredibly disappointed. The DAY AFTER getting them done, the top layer began to crack and flake away (old top coat? has never happened at any other salon Ive been to and is the only reason I can think as to why it would...). Less than A WEEK later, the polish had begun to come loose around the edges, began chipping, and looking bad. SNS for me has always lasted at least 4 weeks, so this salon experience was a total disappointment and will not be returning.

I love it here! The place is professional yet friendly. My nail tech Sandy was so nice, funny, and down to earth. I got the ombre with baby blue and white and she made them look so beachy! Havent tried all their services but the nail artist is totally amazing. I lost my personal nail artist months before, and never wanted to go back to conventional nail technicians. They dont take direction well and want to do it their way instead of satisfying the customer and building a relationship. But one day I decided to look around and find a place and person that I felt comfortable with and thats when I decided to visit Onyx Nails. I met Thi pronounced T and the rest is history. I told her exactly what I wanted and I must say we now have a great understanding and trusted relationship. I will recommend her to anyone I know. Christian Had my nails looking beautiful. Had them about 2 days though then I went to go open a Dunkin’ Donuts box, And one of my split in half and popped off. Haven’t even had them a solid week. Then another of one my nails seem to not have had enough glue on it so it’s starting to come up also. I was very pleased with the job Christian did. But I am disappointed as in to why they are coming off so soon.

Im not sure how I feel about this place?? I went in there for the first time yesterday as a walk in. They were busy, which is fine. I waited 30 mins. and decided to make an appt. for the next day at 11:30 am. and requested Christian based on a customers recommendation. I get there a few minutes early and Christian is doing a pedicure. So Im expecting to wait a few minutes. He stares at me with no greeting and ask the host what I needed. Then proceeds to say get someone else I cant do it with no apology. I really was exited to get him to do my nails because of the one customers opinion. So disappointing!!

I walked into onyx on Tuesday looking to get a pedicure and a full set. Let me begin with saying the staff are all very nice. The place is small but clean and neat. The wind chim on the door was driving me crazy. The chime plus the music, plus the different conversations going on and the random salon noises makes for a very chaotic and not relaxing experience. (Strictly my opinion) They seemed pretty busy but the young lady at the front was really nice and the staff was able to fit me in. That being said the services I received were lacking. To say the least. The tech. Cut my toenails so short they actually hurt and felt tender afterwards. The nail polish took like 3 coats to get opaque and it’s still spotty and uneven. It’s a dark purple, shouldn’t be so sheer. Then the gentleman suggested a dip powder product for my nails and I agreed. Besides the fact that I was there for ever getting these nails done. They look awful. The shape isn’t consistent, it’s bumpy and the polish wasn’t placed properly all the way to the sides. (Gel) so it looks like I have nails made out of play-do. It’s really bad. And to top it off. It is now 4 days later and it’s already chipping. I’m really disappointed. With all the reviews and the regulars that were there that day raving, I expected something great. I suggest if you want to try them. Make an appointment with the technicians mentioned in the 5 star ratings. 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I walked in I was asked what I needed, upon responding nails and eyebrows I was told no one was there to do nails, eyebrows only (there were people currently getting manicures). So I agreed to eyebrows only but when I was laying there I heard someone else come in for a manicure but instead of just being told no, they gave her a time to come back. I found this to be rude and wont be going back.
