I was displaced from Hurricane Ida & lost everything & couldn’t get my medication or refills because my primary care doctor has extensive damage to their office & hospital and cell service is very difficult. I went to a Walgreens to ask for help on levothyroxine, which I had no refills and no medication in four days, so I asked the pharmacist if I could buy a few tablets until they got in touch with my doctor, she gave me one!! It’s not a controlled substance. So I started searching for an urgent care near the hotel I am staying at & when I read the reviews, I knew this was the place to go. Everyone was so pleasant & understanding & the doctor & staff was so helpful. Dr. John actually worked in New Orleans for Katrina. I would highly recommend this place for whatever needs you may have, you will Not regret it.

I have been seeing Dr. Launius for close to 10 years now and his practice is the ONLY one that constantly makes me feel comfortable and at home! I adore Mrs. Lisa and can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for a great doctor :)

Absolutely recommend.It is a family run business and the doctor is very good. Having been to multiple clinics, this is the first doctor in the area I feel comfortable with.Friendly staff, clean facility and plenty of parking.Considering the circumstances it was a very pleasant experience.

If it wasnt after hours on a Friday I would be calling dr J in tear letting him know much the appointment with him helped me today. Not only by his great bedside manner, but for once a doctor could put me in tears just by pure understanding of what one is going through. Hes a first after 15+ years of searching for a doc who understands, Im in tears the amount of stress off my chest due to his knowledge in the medical field. Absolutely recommend him without hesitation.

I am SO incredibly happy that I changed my primary care doctor to Dr. Launius. Its about a 30 minute drive for me but its WELL worth it, I wont go to anyone else now. I didnt realize drs like John Launius still existed. He took almost an hour to go over my history and symptoms, he really listened and put me on a plan not just for medication, but for long term health!My doctor previously just glanced at my bloodwork and did not comprehensively look at everything going on as one system. Im super impressed and just wish I would have gone to see him sooner.

Great doctor, he takes the time to try to figure out the root of problem and doesnt rush you. Its a nice family operated business which is a nice change of pace as Im in and out. Wish they billed my insurance but his rates are very reasonable so I dont mind paying out of pocket for his services.

Dr. Launius has a good rapport with clients and an excellent bedside manner. He treats each patient with care and does not rush anyone in or out of a visit. The staff is wonderfully attentive, patient, and always kind. They provide a great atmosphere and prompt care.

Dr. Launius is a phenomenal doctor! I really wish that I would have found his practice sooner. He is refreshingly compassionate and comes from a place of understanding. He actually takes the time to sit down with you and educate you on your health condition.

This is probably one of the best docs I have ever been to. This is the experience it use to be before the new doc in the box concept.It is a family run business with the husband as the doctor, the wife as the nurse, and the daughter as the receptionist.They dont file insurance but the prices are reasonable. When you call you arent prompted to a bunch of extensions.The doctor spends time with you and answers your questions. They will give you coupons for your prescriptions I think you will like your experience..

Dr Lanius is simply the best doctor you could ask for. He is extremely caring and so interested in helping solve any medical condition. I have been as client for close to 20 years and he is as always spot o !

I go him to treat my adult ADHD. I found him very personable & extremely knowledgeable. His office is very relaxed & the staff very friendly. I was very satisfied with my visit. FYI He doesnt take insurance, but he is totally worth it!

Just such a WONDERFUL doctor and experience. Rachel has the most kind voice on the phone and makes you feel welcomed then they had their dogs chilling in the office and it was the best. Very calm and relaxing environment. Then Dr. Launius came in and I was so nervous cause its so hard to find a good doctor that understands and listens. He made me feel so comfortable (which is hard to do, I have bad anxiety). We ended up taking for a hour or more.He likes to share his knowledge on things and help you feel your best. He wants me to be the best I can at work and home and have good quality of life. Sometimes we need medication to help us have this and I do and I am not embarrassed to say so. Feels so good to have a doctor that understands me and caresI have insurance but I choose to go to him even though he doesnt accept insurance. He is worth it. I even took my son to him recently. Excellent Doctor should of switched to see him years ago. I really enjoy him. He takes the time to listen to me and see what my health issues are and what is the best way to tackle them.Lisa rocks as well. She is a good listener and knows how to give a shot. I dont mind needles but you better be darn well experienced and I appreciate that alot. I use to give blood since I am a great donor.

I met Dr. Launius 8 months ago. Excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable. He takes time to get to know you on a personal level and medical issues. His demeanor is awesome, and puts you in a comfort zone where he makes you feel like he is your best friend. Answers all your medical questions, and he refuses to rush you out of his office. You will definitely get your money worth every visit. Even if you go just to get a refill on RXs, he will take time to chat with you, make sure you dont have any concerns. Best part, he is not judgemental like majority of these doctors out here.

My mother was a patient here and recently passed away. The funeral home and I have left several messages both with office staff and voicemail and have been blown off. The doctor is not set up to sign death certificates online per state law. So my mother has been in a refrigerator over 50 days waiting for this doctor to sign up!! There is no reason for this delay, no issues with my mothers passing whatsoever to hold this up! Its lack of caring from this office. We are on hold to give my mother a proper service in our home state, where our family is, just because this doctor will not see my mother as a person that doesnt deserve to be treated this way in death!! Nobody truly plans to die, but if you do under this doctors care, be prepared to not be treated like the loved human being you are!!!

They are really good people and everyone from the receptionist to the doctor genuinely cares about your health and wellbeing. I personally know just how hard it is to find a good doctor and wish I had found some more detailed reviews when I was looking. This is a very good doctor. I have been hypo for years and Endocrinoligists only go by ranges, nothing else. Its sad but you cannot blame them. They are only following the limited information of what they learned in school. This Dr. took his time educating me on thyroid mistreatment and how most patients feel much better with T3 assistance. My Drs are nice but they just do not know.I have felt so much better and this Dr. is careful and knowledgeable regarding medicine adjustments. Im thankful that I was referred to him. Dr. Launius is awesome. He is by far the most interested doctor I have ever been to. The first time I went in he spent a good 2 hours asking me all about my symptoms (of hypothyroidism) and was very very knowledgable about the subject and everything else I have talked with him about. Hes very open to more holistic approaches, Ive discussed diet (such as gluten free and AIP protocol) and exercise with him a lot, but hes also not afraid to prescribe medicine where needed.The staff is awesome too. His office person is also his daughter, who is very sweet and friendly, and his wife is the nurse, who is also very sweet and takes my blood with very little pain.I would highly recommend his office to anyone, whether you want to see him specifically for hypothyroidism, or if you just need a new family doctor.

I came to see Dr.Launius for kidney stones and female problems which he helped and explained very well and took a lot of time with me.He solved that problem and also noticed problems with my thyroid meds I was on he went in dept explaining about the thyroid and all the effects it can have and how it would be good to have my levels checked to make sure Im on right med and strength and if I needed added ones also recommend many other things to get me back feeling better.I think finally I have found a compassionate doctor who is gonna help me once and for all with all these problems Im having due to my thyroid.Again he is very smart, kind,takes his time,care and wants to help and also very good cash prices.I would recommend him to any one.He doesnt just see you as another patient he treats you individual to your needs and wants to see you get better and is willing to help the whole way through.So glad I found this Doc...Its an urgent care but I will be using him as my new pcp best one around.
