I wasnt pressured to get more than I wanted. But cant seem to reach them now. Have they closed their doors?

I just received my new Resound hearing aids 3 weeks ago and could not be more pleased. These hearing aids are by far the most efficient, easy to use and provide the best hearing quality Ive ever experienced. So much better than my last two brands. Special thanks to Nancy at Shapiro for her knowledge and professionalism.

Nancy was very pleasant and conducted a thorough hearing evaluation before recommending the right hearing aids for my situation. I am very pleased with them - they are so much better than others I have gotten elsewhere in the past! I also appreciated the time she took to explain everything and answer all my questions. I am profoundly deaf, and have been since birth. Hearing aids have helped me to get along in my life , as well as lip reading. I have been very fortunate to have had great people to help me with my hearing aid needs as I grew older, as I increasingly needed more powerful aids . Since my last provider had retired, I was worried that I would not be able to find someone with the knowledge to help me and my hearing. There are so many aids on the market today that deal with low to moderated hearing problems, which most providers are equipped to deal with. I am at a point where I needed the strongest aid possible to work for me.Nancy had been very well recommended to me , and on my first visit to her, she was extremely patient with me, and she knew exactly what I needed! I am wearing my new aid today, and am amazed at some of the sounds I haven’t heard in years!! (My wife is happy too, if you know what I mean😉)I strongly recommend Nancy to anyone for your hearing needs, as she is knowledgeable, compassionate, and very accommodating!!

Nancy has been my hearing aid provider for the last five years and has been able to put up with me and my hearing concerns and help me out every time. As a 75 year old, I look forward to seeing her each year for a hearing test and in between times as needed. She is fun and exstreamly knowledgeable.

The people that work in this little office are the best at what they do. They tell you like it is so you understand what they are talking about, no long words that takes two hours to spell out or close to that to even sound them out. When your Hearing Aids come in, they make sure they fit properly and they fine tune them perfectly. If you have any issues, they fix the issue as soon as they can. I have been dealing with Mary for so long, the building is like my second home.If you think you may need Hearing Aids, then call and set up an appointment with Mary. She is excellent.

I would recommend Shapiro Hearing Aids in Lewiston to everyone. During the past 15 years, I’ve purchased three sets of hearing aids at another location, but I needed to get my new ones at a place nearer home.Nancy Whittier did a thorough job of checking my hearing. The ReSound hearing aids that she recommended are excellent. Like all of the hearing aids I’ve had in the past, these are programmable. When I walked out of her office, the programs were perfect. She is the first person ever to get the music program correct on the first attempt.The volume control on the ReSound hearing aids is easy to adjust and works well. During the past two weeks I’ve had a chance to test the hearing aids in a variety of situations and have been pleased with the results. In a crowded restaurant and at home with a soft-spoken great-grandson, they consistently worked well. For the first time in years, I can hear the television at the same volume as my husband without having to use the “TV Ears.”

Very attentive to our problem, tested , made recommendations and provided excellent after sale service and assistance thru their specialist Nancy Whitier. Most satisfied with their backup and help on problems that have arisen through our own use that had nothing to do with the devices themselves being defective.

Nancy was such a help getting my hearing aids connected to my phone to help with my tinnitus settings. She is also a fun person to work with.
