Some of the most unhelpful and rude staff imaginable. My girlfriend was sent here (wrongly, I might add) and has had the absolute worst experience. She has dietary restrictions which they refuse to meet, is unable to sleep due to constant noise and ruckus, and is being held there for no reason. This place is a scam and a prison. She hasnt eaten in three days, has barely slept, and is far worse off than when she arrived. I am livid and may pursue legal action after this unacceptable fiasco. What a joke.EDIT: They lied about getting her gluten-free food. Its been 36 hours and theyve given her fruit and a cup of lettuce. How pathetic.

This place is very disappointing and sadly, very dangerous. I work in healthcare in another state, and their administration, one “gentlemen” in particular reacted in the most hostile manner, when one of my family members had a bad experience with one of their employees. ( case manger) There is an ongoing case that involves endangerment of children and this case manager was unprofessional, further endangering the children involved in this case. When my family tried to report them, administrators degraded my family due to being unmarried, and then he ( the admin)asked them to never call again. They called her a derogatory term in french likened to the meaning of “whore” I have no words for the level of incompetence within this company. The only reason why I made this review is to warn others, because their lack of knowledge and respect for others will cause irreversible damage.

After 5min they could have come back on the line and said something or before just picking up the phone and placing on hold they could have maybe asked for the reason of your call. In my case all she had to do was transfer or give me the phone number to the pharmacy thats about 2ft from her desk.

My experience here was mostly bad. I was bakeracted after my miscarriage and the night staff were some of the most terrifying people I have ever met and I’m shocked they have their licenses still. I’m a travel nurse and understand the ropes of nursing. I witnessed a nurse pushing a patient away from the nurses station. (What happened to hands off facility? Thats abuse.) The night CNAs instigated fights with the patients yelling at them, calling them crazy, threatening to take their food away, refusing to check a blood pressure of someone feeling unwell, etc. it was traumatizing to see how some of these nurses and CNAs behaved. Treating people like roadkill. I stayed quiet and just observed. The day CNAs and nurse were heaven sent. They opened up a room for me to grieve and not be agitated. They checked on me often and sat with me when I needed them. There was one specifically from the children’s unit who came and talked with me for quite some time. Gosh I wish I remembered her name, but I will remember her face and spirit forever. She truly gave me hope and courage to fight my depression. Her along with nurse Amanda, and those day time CNAs who sought me out and talked me through the worst of it, I will cherish you all forever and use it as a reminder of compassion in my work. I can’t thank you enough.

Do not go to this place. I was admitted to this facility 12 years ago, and I still suffer with PTSD from the way I was treated. They are abusive, and they seriously treat people worse than anything I have ever seen. Dr. Valente was the main doctor at the time, and he needs to have his medical license revoked. All the staff there need to be thrown in jail and treated the way they treat their patients. I pray karma serves all these people well.

I do not recommend taking someone or admitting yourself to this place. I admitted myself to Leesburgs Lifestream a few months ago because I am suicidal and bipolar. I did enjoy some of the staff and volunteers that were quite lovely people but the facility overall was horrible. They dont treat a lot of the patients there with compassion and respect. Which Id say working with someone elses mind its very important to have that compassion and respect. They dont really work with you on a personal level at all. Atleast for me I didnt get any therapy there. They had just put me on the wrong meds that had bad reactions with each other. I was in co-ed and another patient had reached in my pocket to touch me inappropriately. Which the staff knew he was like that because there had been other incidents beforehand. They still had him in co-ed near girls rooms which they keep the doors unlocked and ajar all night. Thankfully, they did move him after the incident with me because I had a intense panic attack. Then the next morning was a fire drill in which a Staff member Jose had woken my roommate and I by screaming at us. He proceeded to grab my bed violently throwing me with it to the side where I almost fell on the floor yelling directly at me. When I had just been confused on what was going on which my roommate also was too. I had a panic attack all over again all through out the fire drill because it triggered PTSD and I was hurting myself in the bathroom. They still ended up releasing me early even after all of that.

I am concerned that this facility is considered a program that is specific for mental health needs. I know firsthand. Because I took a sleeping pill that my body could not handle, I was taken to the emergency room and then was baker-acted. I spent the night in the hospital being watched, then from hospital via Televiewers by a psychologist that evaluated my fate in 3 minutes started the process to a very unprofessional, scary place. I was then threatened at admission that if I act out beware of the consequences. I was then locked up in a room with the bathroom that I could not access unless you get permission. All through the night, every half hour someone looked in the room to see if I was alright. No communication from that person, I lay on a rock hard platform in a very dark moldy room. That was the pleasant part. Then I was prescribed medication, for three days, I sat on a room with others watching Forensic Science. No therapy programs run by professional people in this field. I see nothing wrong with talking to someone that is experienced and professional with mental health credentials. No one there has any credentials. I was locked upBehind doors where I could not get it out. Call this a mental health facility. I wouldn’t send any animal here. It has been almost 3 years and I am still affected by this horrific experience!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The staff is not qualified to handle the clients they serve and do not show them compassion. In addition they do not have mental health therapists and regular group sessions. They act as if they don’t have the time to help you with small things and their discharge protocol is a joke. You also get relatively no sleep at night and the food is terrible. When I was was discharged their paperwork was not thorough and the psychiatrist missed my follow up appointment! I was also not prescribed any medicine when I left which I really needed. My family is filling a grievance against this facility so no one has to suffer from the same pain they caused me- they basically made my situation worse.

Hello I am still here! I really wish staff here would take a huge step foward and Thank Beverly Hills Lifestream. They have shown compassion! I still will hold those accountable to the same flame I am held to.As I wrote before from my other compromised account,( Had many many many data breaches since then!) Its been a uphill battle to remain calm, cool and collect. One thing I have noticed though, is this. We are in a struggle between pharmaceuticals and natural homeopathic remedies.Every dollar that is lobbied for synthetic pharmaceutics causes the American Dream to fall apart. We are vicariously watching our nation fall apart within a drug war. Id rather be part of the common good for the people and by the people.Rather then live in a augmented reality based upon a status quo that I want no part of.Regardless of our diffrent backgrounds , religious affiliation, etc. We all have one common bond, Family.Once I adapt and overcome my ability to trust again, I realize this one key note.....Compassion, accountability and the law of attraction would be a good foundation to build a Family on. We should focus on our dreams rather then stressful litigationAs we move forward, I like to say that Beverley Hills has been fascinating, yet we are not Medical experiments. We are human , just like yourself. In closing, I wish you well, find your center and thank you for all you have done. I am feeling accomplished.Increase funding for the overworked

I would give zero stars if I could, theres nothing good about this place. The staff is ill qualified, theyre understaffed, and over worked. Managers literally walk around in front of patients, asking staff to work doubles because theyre so understaffed. The staff is obviously miserable and do not care about the patients. I have been here on more than one occasion, and the staff literally just babysits you while you watch tv all day. If youre lucky, theyll read a hand out about healthy coping mechanisms (just do yoga!) for two minutes, the only counseling youll get during your mandatory 72 hour hold. If you show any frustration at all at the lack of compassion or professionalism, theyll tell the doctor youre out of control and youll be stuck for at least another full day. You are literally not allowed to show any emotion, and if you do, theyll try to give you a benadryl to calm you down. Once in a while youll play bingo, with markers because youre not allowed to have crayons or pencils or anything that could be remotely sharp. They treat you like animals, and Ive never seen a more inhumane facility in my life. They give you nutrition packets about the importance of good health, and feed you literally the SAME unidentifiable SLOP for three days in a row with different names. I imagine this is on the level of jail food, and if you dont believe me, ask the staff if they would ever eat it themselves. The answer is no. I believe this is a privately owned facility, for profit so they cut corners any way they can and they are in no way at all concerned with the health or well being of their patients. 0/10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Psychiatrist And doctors were never around when you requested them. They only saw you once and that was it. Techs and nurses always covered there badges up and gave fake names to the patients. The facility alone was not even taken care of properly. Patient bathrooms had mold on the tile floor and showers had rust and mold as well. Felt more like a minimum-security jail than a hospital. SOME of the staff were incredible people, others should NEVER be allowed in such a place. They seem to view the patients as an inconvenience rather than the patients they are. One of the better counselors told another that these are PATIENTS not INMATES, but was largely ignored. Those that come in voluntarily are treated far better than those who were Baker-Acted and are there for immediate problems. One counselor will ask you a question then interrupt your answer, interjecting hos own opinion as if you are a fool with the intelligence of a soap dish. Some way to encourage participation, eh? Avoid this place at all costs, if you are able. If not, be prepared to be treated like a liability rather than a patient in need of aid.

One of the things I like most about our doctor-client relationship is the respect; he doesn’t talk down to me like I’m an addict which that alone makes me feel very accepted, he’s not afraid to tell you if you’re getting off course, and he also makes sure you know that he sees and respects all your hard work. He doesn’t just hand a prescription and send you on your way like many other doctors. Dr Correa truly cares about his patients and the wellbeing of his community. This is the kind of Dr I want on my side. I’m so fortunate to have been accepted into the MAT program and so lucky to have such an awesome Dr.If you’re someone who really wants to live in recovery, if you’re someone who is ready to be completely honest and respected as a person and not judged as an addict, than this is the place and the Dr to see.

Worse thing I ever did. This place needs to be shut down asap. That was not help to anyone in there. It was more like a jail. Patients fighting with staff. I saw a nurse get punched in the face. Patients fighting with patients. I saw one patient brake another patients arm. Nothing was ever done.I checked myself in so I could have checked myself out at anytime. But no one....on one would get my phone numbers for me or look in my records for my emergency contact.I spoke with Dr Darr for all of 10 mins. He had the nerve to tell me since I never told anyone that I was raped by my brother that it was consent. Consent really......what kind is doctor tells you that.If I could......I would shut that place down today. Sitting around all day with absolutely nothing to do or anyone to talk to is no help. And because of what I went through there....it has put me in a deeper depression.SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT THIS PLACE.

Incompetent to the point of unethical treatment. This place is filled with apathetic and unqualified personnel who could care less about humane treatment or treatment. I spent 3 days awake and in pain and they ignored the diagnosis and medication given to me by actual doctors. this is a house of torture, nothing more.

I was summited here in August of 2017. And it was hell. I had some benefits like being able to stay in my room and sleep. But besides that I saw the Doctor only twice. The second time was to get out of that hell hole. I hated how some people got out within a day while I had to stay 72 hours when the other people submitted had to stay a day. They could probs have the same issue as I did.. And was let out before me. That makes no sense. Then there was this lady who was abused there. Because she freaked out so they grabbed her arm and made a horrible bruise. Sure she was crazy but that was just unexplainable. They took her bed too! Though their beds were rock hard.there was little difference to sleeping on the floor. It was awful. The nurses were rude and one said, You think I want to be here blah blah . I get it. You dont want to be here. .but you dont have to be a jerk and put me down and everyone else. Just because you arent home.. If you hate the job so much quit. Dont put your consumers down like they say .. Not patients. Consumers. This place is more. Like a jail then a place that helps. But the Lord was with me, the whole time. Just like He was with Joseph.

This place is the most unorganized place I have ever seen. The reception area is staffed by incompetent teenage morons who cant find anything , and dont know anything. While there, they lost my sisters file. She told them she was a diabetic but in a 4 day stay, she claims no one ever checked her sugar or gave her her insulin.

I recommended LifeStream to my sister because of the good care I have been receiving at the Clermont outpatient facility. But the hospital is a terrible place to think you are going to receive the much needed help. It was described as being in jail or seeing a bad movie connected to mental health.

My experience was through my husband being admitted in seek of help with depression. Neither myself or my husband feel that her received help in any way. Upon discharge my husband was given his medications in return except for his Clonazepam ( a bottle of approx 180 pills ). Never did I expect that a medical facility would steal from a patient and then attempt to cover up the crime. Beware of trusting this facility including the administrative staff,

Im not really sure where all these negative reviews are coming from because I left this place today and have NOTHING but positive things to say about the detox (arf) section from start to finish. I was interviewed and evaluated in the time frame I was told on the phone, saw the Dr the next day, and given proper meds for my withdrawal symptoms. In fact I was given a choice of MAT medications (methadone, suboxone and vivatrol). I was given an aftercare plan that I am more than happy with. I wasnt too pleasant the first couple days but I was still treated with respect. Thank you to the nurses and techs who put with me AND were there 24/7 for anything I needed. Any questions ? I saw Dr Dada (a psychiatrist) here. Hes an excellent doctor, but Lifestream stopped prescribing ANY AND ALL BENZOS a few months ago, so this review is more about them than Dr Dada (who is a great physician, kinda)..I have been on klonopin for several years for myoclonus caused by a brain injury.Anyway, one day I go into see my shrink and he tells me that ALL OF LIFESTREAM HAS STOPPED PRESCRIBING ALL BENZOS!!!!!Im like, excuse me? Whos heard of a doctors office no longer prescribing drugs that actually help!!!!!!!!!!He gave me one months worth of my medication and a letter explaining the situation.FORTUNATELY my pain management doctor agreed to take over my Rx.Dr Dada did not even once discuss tapering me off the drug. They just one day decided no more benzos for anybody and thats that.Incredibly unprofessional, and dangerous!!!!!

I spent over 3 hours on a couch that smelt like pee crying and telling staff I did not want to be alive. I let them know there was pee on the bathroom floor and hours later they still hadnt cleaned it all.I finally got called back to sign hippa paperwork and politely asked how much longer. Staff member was so rude and literally told me 4 to 6 more hours or I could get my stuff and get out.Obviously not somewhere I was not comfortable staying so they put me on the streets with no money, no car, at 9pm. The statistics of a woman my age being assaulted were outstanding. This place is disgusting and they do not care about their patients. Central Florida Behavioral by Seaworld is 100x better. Please do not force a loved one to stay here.

As someone who works in Social Work and Suicide Prevention (and someone who works on a SP grant in partnership with LifeStream), I had a really terrible time at this facility. My bad experience included: waiting 8 weeks to be seen, a misdiagnosis, 3 new scripts for meds I had never tried before, no detail in treatment plan for pairing meds with therapy, and upon asking for therapy appt-was told Id have to call another time to schedule. The pros: my vitals were taken by Kia -- shes great!, the front desk receptionist--although very busy, handled everything okay despite the poor treatment she received from clients.Im lucky that I know a bad match for treatment from a good match and am able to find alternatives. Ive since sought a second and 3rd opinion and will most likely never step foot in a LifeStream facility (unless its for a work meeting).

MY NAME IS LILIAN I have been submitted into Lifestream on and off for about 5 years now (2012-2015). Ive been getting better over time with other help. However, my past visits to this facility have been awful! I have countless stories of improper conduct ranging from staff to the general building. The workers, I cant even say have any experience in nursing, often like toying with their patients. Theyve always been disrespectful to the patients, treating us like prisoners and animals. A nurse has even laid their hands on a younger teenage patient for misbehaving. They dont really try to help the patients there, as they dont give them the resources they need such as underwear, as Im aware some items are prohibited in mental care facilities. With patients in crisis, the police who bring patients to the facility often use violent procedures to get them in, while the nurses just watch. In another instance, they gave me a bucket to induce vomiting, that had previous brown stains, to this day I dont know if it was fecal matter or dried up blood from a previous user. The blankets in this place have holes and seem very old during the cold insulated nights. Each day they do lock the bathrooms, and one time when I asked to go, I was refused to use the bathroom by a nurse, and often patients are known for having unsanitary conditions of using the bathroom in the room or bed because of this. The nurses are known for taunting patients when they do a mishap. The facility does not have a lot of rooms, and often patients have to share rooms if it is full, and when a patient complains, they have the option to sleep in the hallway. I was humiliated and abused in lifestream, the nurses once again, would touch me and hit me while I was in a panic state. When I did manage to complain, the police would have arrived to my house, after Ive been dismissed months later, and nothing had been fixed about it. The actual professionals in this place do help when they can, but even than, the workers just prescribe you medicine that they dont even know what theyre doing. Youre a test subject at this point. The medicine damages your brain and body to some degrees and you wont even notice it because you think its gonna help you. If you speak up to the staff, in one instance they will give you multiple injections to put you to sleep, and quiet down. Dr. Goya, a trained professional, gave me injections for disagreeing about not wanting treatment from her, She did not clearly speak english at the time. The staff cant control the out of control patients. In another accident, a patient clearly not in the right state of mind, had walked up to me and starting to touch specific body parts of mine, and once again, the staff did nothing but give me another injection. The cafeteria conditions were terrible, you could see unsanitary conditions in any room.THIS PLACE IS HORROR MOVIE IN REALITY

Brought an 18 year old addict for detox based on a referral from 211 emergency line. Exclaimed the situation when we called the day before, as well as the fact that the prospective patient had been using THC wax and cocaine. They said no problem, just come for assessment and intake for detox. Get there, after driving for 45 minutes and have an addict who is ready to be helped. She was NEVER seen by their mythical physician - only the screening nurses. They took the same background, with even more extensive details, outlining a history of self medicating, self harm and underlying psychological issues, then proceed to turn the addict away. They are so untrained that they advised the addict IN MY PRESENCE who is so desperately in need of help and had nowhere else to turn that there are NO side effects or concerns associated with detoxing from either THC wax or cocaine, and that this can easily be done at home and does not need professional help. They said that they only use medications for detox, and that there are no medications to assist with this form of detox, therefore they have no policy to deal with these non-habit-forming drugs. In other words, consistent with what I now see on several other reviews here, they only pump people (who are trying to detox) full of drugs, and have no apparent training in anything else. How can this place even legally be allowed to operate? Are there no laws in place to ensure that when an addict presents begging for detox, that they must never EVER be turned away? I asked them how the Hell they can turn her away with claims that she is not addicted to anything serious? They were unprofessional to the point that they undermined the seriousness and consequences of THC wax and cocaine to an addict. Dangerously unprofessional, and has to be illegal. I told them that by them turning this addict away, if she gets even more hooked via other gateway drugs and ends up killing herself on meth or opiods her blood will be on their hands. The lady then advised that if she does get hooked on those other serious drugs (which cocaine and thc wax are not) then we could come back for help then.Demanded to know the name of the doctor who turned an addict away without even examining her, and the lady told me repeatedly that they are Lifestream Behavioral Center (as if I didnt know where I was), and when I demanded again to know the name of the doctor who turned the patient away, she only told me that their lead doctor is Dr Valente. Shame on everyone involved with a medical facility with so-called trained staff who show ABSOLUTE DISREGARD for the life of an addict who has found the strength to finally take that first step towards help.SHAME ON ALL OF THEM!

I was admitted here and it was the worst of my life. The beat and abused me. I was on phone restriction my entire stay there. The doctor barely spoke to me and diagnosed me with a mental disorder. (I have no history of ever having an mental illness) The staff provoked me and laughed at me. They prescribed medication that altered my brain causing me to have hallucinations and suicidal idéations. I was a test dummy for them. I remember all the abuse that happened to me at that facility. I am in the process of suing them for negligence. Please someone closed down that facility and don’t take your family member there. They treat the patients so wrong in there and what makes it worse is that they lie to your family members. I am just now detoxing off the medication prescribed. I advise anyone to stay far away from there. That place is WORSE than jail.
