Difficult to get support staff to return calls and email. Wish portal emails went directly to Drs instead of support staff. You are only as good as your support staff, and ALL the support staff at DD is lacking! Good example is I called nearly a month ago to schedule an MRI in house, and just received a call back today, when I have already had my MRI at Element Imaging on 7/9/21!!!!!!!!

Dr. Ting and his staff are the best! Sarah his nurse is kind and supportive. Dr. Tings nurse for surgery was absolutely the best! Dr. Ting, I have complete faith in. He is who I shall go to for anything he handles! Can’t say enough about him! Thank you all for making a scary time a completely peaceful event. You are the best!!

May have great doctors but will never know. Can’t get past the rude and unresponsive scheduling staff. Took two weeks to actually speak to a person.

To be honest I really wasn’t feeling this place because the process to get checked in, the mistakes that were made at the desk, And all the paperwork while I was already in pain just kind of got on my nerves. However my x-ray tech and the two providers made it better. Dr. GARDINER and SEAMUS make a wonderful team. My diagnosis was not nearly as grim as I had feared and they gave me assurance that I could get better. Thank you.

Dr. Ting and his staff are very helpful! I had surgery 3/10/2021. I am home doing physical therapy and will start after next week with outside physical therapy. So far, all is well! I believe in Dr. Ting and his wonderful nurse. They answer questions and have made me feel free to contact with questions. I would go back to him again with faith that he cares and gives his patients the best of care.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Ting for TKR surgery. He always takes the time to answer your questions and it never feels like hed rather be some other place. Very present. The surgery went so well I only stayed 1 night in the hospital instead of the normal 2. Im almost 3 weeks from surgery and my range of motion is amazing. Im not trying to mislead that its been a breeze because it does take work to get there. I love that I get daily text messages to let you know whats normal and inspirational quotes that keep you pushing forward! If I could rate him higher, I certainly would.

Front line staff are pleasant and efficient. I was called for my appt at the prescribed time. Dr. Tings team are warm and welcoming. Dr. Ting is invested in the care of his patients. I asked a lot of questions and he was engaged when responding. He wasn’t rushed. He was present. I highly recommend Dr. Ting and his team.

I saw Dr. Ting as a second opinion after being told I needed a complete hip replacement. Dr. Ting and his staff performed a comprehensive examination and I believe came to a more accurate determination of my condition which was bursitis. He recommended physical therapy and provided a possible next step of a steroid shot if the therapy did not yield results. Time will tell but in this day and age of “throw out and replace”, I find his recommendations a pleasant reminder that the least invasive methods should be tried before radical surgery. My thanks to Dr. Ting and his staff - I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing a hip expert.

I took my mom in for knee pain. Dr. Ting and his resident were very nice, explaining their advice and took great care of my mom. They gave her a steroid injection in the knee and right away her knee pain was gone! She continues to have great relief a week later.

I have had shoulder pain for the last five years and have been going to Dixon-Diveley since that time. I also went to the Mayo Clinic and got their opinion. I’m so thankful I took my time, researched, and did not rush into a surgery. I am only 53-years-old but I am a professional conductor and seriously need the use of my arms. When Dixon-Diveley added Dr. Ellsworth to their practice, it was a blessing. He gave me excellent advice, was patient and listened to everything I had to say. When I finally made a decision to have the full shoulder replacement, he was prepared for multiple scenarios. It was very comforting to know that he had taken this much time to do all the research before the actual procedure. As anyone knows, anything can change once you’re in the actual procedure. I can absolutely say that every aspect of the practice, from nurses to anesthesiologist to the doctors was amazing. I highly recommend them and hope that other people will have the success story I did.

Dr. Ellsworth is very good with his patients. He relaxes when he comes into the room as if he has nothing to do but listen to me. he did a reverse shoulder replacement on me in July and Ive had no problems with that, i just broke my arm and he is fixing that right now. I think he is very capable and caring.

He explained everything to me clearly I wish I had another alternative but I dont but I appreciate him being compassionate with me and I would recommend him to anybody

2 Stars is for the excessive screening for COVID and not letting one family member in for appointments before and after surgery, My husband literally called me from the office trying to remember his questions because of the pain medication and him walking in by himself unsteady 2 weeks after total knee surgery. Dr. Ting gets 5 Stars for his part of this experience. He is very professional. Please reconsider your policy on letting someone accompanying a patient!!

Great experience with Dr. Ellsworth and his office staff at Dickson-Diveley. Everyone is always so friendly via phone or in person . I suffer from right tennis elbow, and I’ve had it approximately 19 months. I like that Dr. Ellsworth will try an alternate route first before jumping right in to surgery. He is great at listening to my concerns and answers any question that I ask. Although the therapy that he recommended did help a little, I still suffer with the pain and living with this bum elbow. He & I agreed it’s time for surgery. I really let it go to long before seeking treatment . If you’re suffering from upper extremity problems, and don’t know who to see, or where to start, he’s your guy.👍🏻😉

Dr. Ting is wonderful as is his expertise in his field. He’s informative, attentive, highly skilled and he listens!After learning the results about my hip he let me come to my own decision. It took me awhile as I did not want to accept that I needed a hip replacement until I realized I wanted to be able to move freely again. I had robotic hip replacement and I’m about 7 weeks post surgery and doing amazing. No one likes to have surgery and the day of mine his team was amazing. I felt comforted. During my convalescing stage I was supplied with pertinent information every few days regarding the stages of healing, what to do and what not to do. Suggestions and so on. This was so helpful for me. In addition to this his nurses responded pretty quickly when I called and even Dr. Ting checked in with me a couple of times himself. For me, this speaks volumes to his medical practice ethic and concern for his patients. ~ Thoroughly pleased patient here!

I had a total hip replacement with Dr. Nicholas Ting. I first went to the orthopedic group I had used for a pervious surgery. However they only perform posterior hip replacements. After doing research I knew I wanted a anterior approach for the replacement.I researched and came upon Dr. Nicholas Ting with Dickson /Dively as my surgeon of choice. He had great reviews and after reading his vitae I was even more impressed as to where Dr. Ting had received his training.I would use Dr. Ting again and strongly recommend him if you need hip or knee surgery.

This is not my first knee surgery or replacement. I have dealt with other high profile firms that all showcase a stable of highly trained surgeons. I believe all these surgeons want the best for us and do give it their all. Unfortunately it doesnt always go that way. I have had multiple knee surgeries and have had good results and some really bad results. Im 61 now and the previous replacement I had some years ago was terrible at replacement and worse now some 7 years later.I needed a real heavy hitter this time..... no BS I really need this right. Did all my homework this time, no referral s from the guys at work, the neighbors, the brother in law. No this time I put the time in to find the right man. Who did I find ? Dr. Ting !! A man who seemed a bit quiet starting out but I still felt the intellect that burned with every word. After the usual MRIS and X Rays he found what a mess he was in for. He put a plan together and gave me a knee second only to what God himself gave me. Got a problem ? Go online and check his credentials. Then go see him so you can get back on track . Two weeks after my surgery Im walking. Life is good, thanks Dr. Ting.Kenny D

First of all - I like Dr. Ting - nice guy.But - you never schedule the last appointment of the day - and here is why. 1- I saw him at 2:40pm and my appointment was at 1:00. That is a long wait. Next up - I was there to set-up a hip surgery .... and he refused to schedule because he asked me what my last A1c level was....I told him and he was not impressed. Granted it was high (10+/-) - but most of the time its 7.5-8...which for a Type I is low IMO - Remember - I have been a diabetic for almost 20-years and he asked about my last A1c and not the previous 200 or so that had been done. Prior to my last A1c - I had a bad chest cold that lasted for weeks - he never asked about that or any other issues. He never even bother to call/text my Endocrinologists to discuss....just simple no surgery for you....he may be a wonderful Ortho - but not at the end of the day when its been a long one. My advise - book an early appointment as Dr. Ting is temperamental IMO.....

My experience with Dr. Ting, who did a full hip replacement for me, was excellent from beginning to end. He spent a lot of time patiently answering all my questions and explaining all my options. He does the anterior approach, which was what led me to him in the first place.The surgery was delayed for a few months because of the pandemic, but finally in early July the big day came. I was awake long enough in the operating room to take in all the high tech equipment, including the robot that assisted in the procedure and assured the highest level of precision. I walked out of the hospital the same day (carefully!), and the next day began three weeks of in home therapy. There was some pain and discomfort in those first couple of weeks, but the custom pain relief regimen Dr. Ting prescribed got me through it. Make sure you understand what each med does so you know why youre taking it. My physical therapist walked me through everything as a refresher after a few days and reminded me not to be the tough guy and cut back too early on the strong stuff.All during the days leading up to the surgery and for six weeks following I received helpful text message reminders and encouragement from Dr. Ting. My recovery was steady and rapid, and I was walking without a cane in two and a half weeks, walking 2 miles plus within three and a half weeks, and riding my bike by the middle of August. I was also playing competitive pickleball within 8 weeks. I am 70 and in good physical condition. Three months out I am enjoying all my activities at the same intensity level as before. I think the last thing to catch up completely will be muscular endurance. Im good for at least two hours of most things, but eventually those hip muscles start to get tired. Everyones mileage will vary, of course.The result of the surgery has been just as described by Dr. Ting (with all the disclaimers required, of course). I highly recommend him.

I have been very pleased with my hip replacement. I felt I had the support of the doctor and staff whenever I had a question and concern. Dr Ting is not only and excellent doctor, but also very kind and personable. They sent me daily text messages to remind me what I should be doing, videos of exercises and encouragement. Overall a very positive experience.

Had first appointment and it went well. Now following through on the next steps.

WOW! where to begin.At first I had to call and call and call (no one answers the phone) just to try to get an appt. scheduled. Then I scheduled an appt with Dr. Divelbliss (he was good) he told me to go get an EMG test for my carpal tunnel surgeries (both hands). I set the ENG test up at a different place (they were able to see me sooner than D&D). That facility sent the results instantly ( I was standing there watching them do it) to D&D I was told they would call....so 3 days later I called and called and called D&D stated they do not have anything. So I had them sent again and again... the other place told me they are sure they have sent them every time I have asked then 12days after my original EMG appt. I finally got ahold of someone to set an Zoom appointment up with the Dr.The said he could do the surgery in 2 weeks since they were slow and D&D will call to set up the appt. SOooooo after a couple of days I called and called and called (for 4 days) until I got an appt. set up. I had an appointment for the next Friday at 11 am be there 2 hrs early, Then, by a miracle someone called me back to schedule my appt.? Yes, I stated I just did this and she said OK well...anyway she said since I am a diabetic I will be able to move to the 1st surgery slot 8am. Two days before the surgery I called and (you know the routine) until finally the lady said yep, you are all set for 1 oclock HUH! NO ! you mean 8 Oclock ! Hold please, returns to tell me she seen where they changed it from 10 am to 1. WHAT IT WAS NEVER 10am. After a mess of times 6 different times I had my surgery 8am (the nurse was horrible, rude, condescending and bossy). I woke up from surgery... no Dr., no talking to him after, just go over your therapy. So, I said I am ready to leave and the nurses told me (from across the room by their nurses station you have to wait 1 hr).I had to come to surgery 2 hours early and literally sit for an hour and a half for absolutely nothing before they called me back to prep me. Now I have to sit there for an hour after I wake for absolutely nothing.At the exit appointment 2 weeks after. The nurse takes out my stitches the right hand looks great the left started bleeding and the site opened up the nurse said yeah, some time the site oozes a little. UMMMM NO it is bleeding through the steri strips as she turned and walked out of the room. I had to stop at CVS to bandage it back up. I called 5 days later to tell them it still looks split open but it is not bleeding. They told me to keep it covered. HUH! my hand has an enormous scar and still split open.I did everything myself except the surgery. This place is a DIVE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE and get treated like you should be treated!!!!

Dr. Ting is genuine in his commitment to patient care. He took all the time I needed to get my questions answered. You don’t always find that in healthcare today.I’d highly recommend Dr. Ting.

As a patient of Dr. Tings, I will always be grateful for his skill and expertise on October 21, 2019 when he replaced my left hip. I am now pain free and even my balance has improved. His daily text messages demonstrated his continued concern for six or more weeks after the surgery. Because I experienced a persistent oral infection in the early months of 2019, Dr. Ting said I needed to wait at least three months before hip surgery, and that proved to be the perfect timing. I now feel better than I have in more than a year!

I immediately felt like Dr Ting was interested in my case and my situation. I felt like he took the time to look at my MRI, talk honestly with me, and give me his advice and go over all upcoming procedures and concerns. I had both knees replaced (not at the same time) by Dr. Ting. One of the reasons I selected him was the fact that he uses robotics to supplement his surgical work. Besides that fact, however, his knowledge, patience and personality combined to answer all my questions helped me through the each procedure. Additionally, he has a text service after the operation that provides daily update on where I should be in recovery with rehab suggestions and overall encouragement. Thanks Dr. Ting!

I had a surgery once the office opened for elective surgeries during the pandemic. Dr. Nicholas Ting was my surgeon. He and the entire team at Dickson-Diveley and the Kansas City Orthopaedic Surgi Center were awesome. They were caring, answered all my questions taking their time to be precise. My stay required me to be there 1-2 days. Staff were wonderful. I could not do anything on my own and their attentiveness was immediate and caring.Dr. Ting is an outstanding surgeon. His bedside manner is wonderful and he also takes time to listen to you and answer all your questions. His technique with my surgery is relatively new and I was up and around without assistance in about 10 days and off medications completely within 3 weeks.I highly recommend Dr. Ting and the entire practice.

I had a very bad hip replaced by Dr. Dr. Ting using the robotic surgery at St Lukes on the Plaza. He and his team did an excellent job. Exact fit, minimal incision, quick recovery considering, very kind people. High tech and skilled.

I really appreciate the fact he listens to me. He gives me the time I need to ask my questions and always answers me. My previous ortho saw me post op one time and then released me for 6 months post knee replacement and when I called to get in I was told he didnt have anything for 6 months. Dr Ting has seen me at 2 weeks, 6 weeks and will see me again in 6 weeks.He is working with my trainer so she understands the best way to help me get strong again.I have been a RN for almost 40 years. Dr. Ting is awesome! My 80 yr old grandmother had a full knee replacement in December and so many people have commented on how well her incision looks. Her surgery was neatly done and when she had complications(nothing to do with him) after her surgery, he made a special trip to the hospital to check on her. Highly recommended!

Just a fantastic Doctor and team. He has been straight forward and honest with me. The surgery he performed was petty major for reconstructing the soft tissue , ligaments, tendons and some bone repair from injury. His work is been exactly how he described the recovery process. I have a great deal of respect for his work. The team that he leads has been just as supportive and knowledgeable. I found Dr. Ting to be very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner.If I need services requiring his expertise in the future.He is definitely the doctor I will see.The only down side is that my appointment was for 8:15 a.m. and it was 9:15 before I saw him.

Very personable. Explains your options. Doesnt push you towards surgery. Makes it clear it is your choice. He takes your over all health in to account and is honest how issues can effect your outcome. He is more concerned with the patient than he is with selling the surgery.

Saw Dr. Ting for right hip pain. He was very patient to answer all my questions, and explained everything to my satisfaction. I had thought I might need a total hip and he confirmed it. I feel very confident of his abilities and have scheduled the surgery with him.
