Warning others not to use Dr. Rebekah J Abbott or Dr McKarnin (filled in for Abbott). They dont listen, cant spare two minutes to look into an issue, arent available for sick visits, prescribed medication with no warning of the withdrawal symptoms, refused to acknowledge my very real health issue experienced by many others because it doesnt fit into their cookie cutter mold of health issues. Please dont risk your health and well being in the hands of these two. You deserve a doctor who cares about you.

Have been trying to get an appointment for four hours. Finally got thru on a call back line after 3.5 hours, asked for an appointment for twisted knee - my doctor had nothing available today, I said I’d see another doctor in the practice. They couldn’t schedule that - had to go to my doctor to see who she would recommend. They transferred my call to my doctor’s nurse - got voicemail and then got disconnected. So now I have to get back on the call back list and start all over. Super frustrating. This system is unworkable and unprofessional. Hire more schedulers!!

I’ve been waiting for results from an MRI for a week now. I have messaged Dr. wolf multiple times and no response, I had a potential stroke and it’s very clear my doctor don’t care.

I had filled out the paperwork online including adding my insurance 3 weeks ahead of my appointment. I got to my appoint early to fill out more paperwork and looking at my insurance card the receptionist said they didnt take my insurance. We had vetted in network doctors ahead, of course. They did not let me know, looking at my insurance online ahead, that I was not in network. Either they changed from December to January or they do not have the correct information online. Poor handling of a new patient!

I had a new patient physical in September with Dr. Wolf and really liked her. However, she ordered lab work and I have tried 3 times to get her or a nurse to review the results. 10/22 the nurse said she was printing them and putting them in front of the doctor. Still no follow up. Disappointing and wont be back.

Very disappointed!! My daughter who is 18 called and left a message for a nurse on a Monday about lunch time- no returned call. She called back on early on Tuesday -- no returned call. I called and left a message on Wednesday stating I was upset that she wasnt called back. Then, they called back and said to make an appt. Nurse didnt discuss her symptoms, etc. Unfortunately by the time they called back she was back at school so she set up an online appt -- THEY DIDNT SHOW UP FOR THE ONLINE APPT AND THAT WAS DAYS AGO AND THEY HAVENT REACHED OUT!!! SO FRUSTRATED

My husband and I became patients of Dr. Wolf in the spring and really liked her. However, their nurse response to prescription refills, medical questions, etc is the worst we have ever witnessed. My husband and I both have left as many as 4 phone messages and portal messages with no response!!! This is unacceptable - you have no avenue to actually talk to a live person!!!

I made an appointment online at the beginning of February after researching the physicians at this clinic and decided on Dr. McKarnin because of her specialties. Im new to the area and didnt want to establish care with just anyone due to some of my specific concerns. Of course, like most doctors offices I couldnt see her until the end of the month. No big deal, very unusual that one can get in right away to establish care. I get a call today, multiple days after scheduling and no longer researching for a physician, informing me that I could not see her unless I was referred by an existing patient of hers. Why couldnt I have been called sooner? Why was I able to schedule myself online if she wasnt seeing new members? Why cant I see her unless Im referred? I asked the Representative who called me if anyone else that had the same specialties and was female was seeing new members. She rattled off some names that I know for a fact were not female nor did they specialize in what I was looking for after researching for so long. I told her no thank you and asked her to cancel my appointment. Now I have to find a new physician who probably wont be able to get me in until April or May, much like the Representative informed me.

Super friendly staff for my first visit. I followed Dr Scott Russell to this location as he has been my Primary care Dr prior to moving to this location. He is the best, always listens, easy to talk to, hope to have him for the rest of my life.

I see Dr. McKarnin who is absolutely incredible. It is a shame, though, that the receptionists and nurses are so very rude. I was in to get a TB test, the nurse (Chastity) didn’t even look at me and when I said thank you, she had no response. I asked for documentation since I am turning this in for school and they gave me a print out of the administration with no where to sign for a result. The nurse was obviously annoyed when she had to retrieve this document for me and again when I said thank you she rolled her eyes and walked to the back. I noticed it was the incorrect document and had to go back to the practice where I was met with the receptionist who was also seemingly annoyed when I returned and asked for a document with a place to sign for a negative or positive result. She claimed they did not have such a document even though I had a copy of it from a year ago with their address on it to show her. She was short and snippy with me when I said I needed that document and claimed that they do not do that there and she can’t help me. They have zero patient service, and when I expressed that to her, her comment (the receptionist) was “uhm I don’t see how I’m being rude!?” I wish I could say more positive things about this group since I love my physician, but I will be transferring primary care offices due to the disrespect that was shown to me today. I work as a nurse in a NICU and could absolutely never imagine speaking to a patient or parent that way, or rolling my eyes when a patient thanks me!! If you work in healthcare and a patient has expressed a negative experience, the very least you could do is apologize. I was not rude, I said thank you, I was not demanding, so I am baffled by this behavior of grown professional women. If you are going to be hateful to patients, find a new job!

When I didnt have issues, just regular physical it was fine. It is when you have issues you can tell how good/bad they are. My experience was terrible, doctor gave me the wrong medicine and she didnt remember how it happened, sent lab order to the wrong place, and the lab called them with problems they never called me, I had to find out from the lab. When I call the manager, Monique Martin, she never called back. When I called her boss, Lauren and she never called back. Very unprofessional. Not sure how it could be ran like this. I would have fired them if it was my company.

Super disrespectful and they dont care at all about the patients. You are barely even a number here. Ive been trying to speak to someone or at least get a callback about a medication refill for 3 business days now. We had a holiday this week so Ive tried to be understanding but Ive been without my medicine for 5 days now and wont be able to get it by the morning since they, again, did not contact my pharmacy today. This office has also withheld lifesaving medication from me until I had bloodwork done (which wasnt mentioned at any point before my refill was due). Well of course all my levels were wildly off since I had been without meds for a week then too! Dr. Wolfe has been a good doctor and she listens to me but whats the point if I can never get messages to her? If I cant get my meds refilled in any acceptable timeframe? If someone else is deciding to withhold my medicine (as she said she wouldnt have withheld my first prescription)? I dont know where Ill go but I pay out of pocket for every visit and I absolutely cant justify giving these people money anymore.

Poor Patient Care and Customer Service. They confirmed an appointment I had scheduled for a specific day then called almost a week later to tell me the appointment coming up in two days isnt going to work because they only see a certain number of new patients a day. That is information I should have been told when I originally made the appointment (as a new patient) instead of them confirming it. They rescheduled my appointment without telling me and cant get me in anytime soon to the originally scheduled appointment. The receptionist on the phone was very defensive and in a poor mood. Not customer friendly at all. I am beyond irritated as I wasted a lot of time and now have a couple days to get an appointment scheduled with someone else more competent. Dont waste your time.

Avoid seeing Dr Shreya. No issues will be addressed and after taking your co pay they will state they aren’t taking new patients and pass you along to another office after ignoring your health concern, saying things like “probably or “if I had to guess” and waste your time and money. Clearly they care far more about money in this office than patient care.

I have had good experiences with both Dr Wolf and Dr. Shreya. I have been in for acid reflux and gotten the medication I needed. I have been in after a car accident and they got me in right away. I have also been in for birth control. It is difficult to get someone to call you back on the phone. I have to make an appt if I need anything or just go in to the office. It is much more efficient than trying to speak with a nurse on the phone.

I concur with previous commenters: “Office has gone downhill. Staff isnt willing to work with you even though we have been patients for 15+ years.” I had similar experiences. The receptionist are short and seem like they are doing patients a favor by finding an appointment. I rarely can get in to see my primary care provider. After a scheduling issue today, I showed up to discover that I did not have an appointment, the reluctant nurse met me and told me to go to urgent care for my sinus infection. They did little to offer to help. The organization has a whole does not have a patient-focus and the clinic is particularly poor when it comes to this issue. Not what you want in a doctor’s office.

I didn’t even have an appointment with a physician, but when I tried to make one, the receptionist(or whoever was answering the phone) was extremely rude in denying my appointment. Your job is to answer the phone in a polite manner, it’s not hard. Hopefully that person isn’t there much longer. Things like that is what drives people away, and I’m sure she had nothing to do with the medical aspect of that business anyways.

Ive been using this office since before they moved locations, but my regular doctor retired, so I was reassigned to Dr. Shrea. After two appointments, I knew I was never walking back in that office. I came in for a refill on birth control, and she tried to make a separate appointment for me to get my pap (a requirement for birth control if youve had a change in sexual activity). Ive never had a doctor be unprepared like that for my appointment. She rushed through the whole thing, like she was on some time limit and I was just a number being processed through. She didnt leave the room when I had to *completely* undress and gave me the quickest exam of my life. She also refused to listen to me when I told her there were certain tests I didnt want ordered. They were ordered anyways, and I got a $100+ bill in the mail for it.The only reason Im not giving one star, and the only redeeming quality of this experience was the office manager, Don. He worked with me over the mix up and was very patient and understanding. He answered any questions or problems I had and worked diligently to get it solved. There may be better doctors at this office, but my experience with Dr. Shrea caused me to start looking at other offices. I do NOT recommend making appointments with her.

Dr. McKarnin is easily the best doctor in Kansas City. Her schedule fills up very quickly for regular routine appointments, but on the rare occasion I need to see her right away she has been able to squeeze me in same day or the next day. Shes a no-frills doctor who tells it like it is, but she truly cares for her patients and wants to do the best thing for them.

I’ve been seeing dr wolf for years I love her but wait is getting ridiculious. I always arrive at least 15-20mins early and I end up still waiting 30-45mins to be seen. Always takes about 1.5 to even get out of the place, it shouldn’t take this long every time I need to be seen.

My husband and I used to go here before they changed locations. Prior to the move, we LOVED going here. After the move, the entire mood was different. It was clear theyd gone big pharma and it was suddenly very impersonal and less warm and friendly. Our doctor left the practice quickly after this (probably got these exact reasons... Several other longtime doctors also very quickly retired or moved elsewhere after the change, hmmmm....) and we still tried to give this practice a shot. My husband was reassigned to Dr. Shreya and was not impressed with the impersonal nature of his visits with her in comparison to our former doctor there. We left the practice and followed our other doctor to her new one!!! Not going back!
