What a refreshing healthcare experience! I have been a regular 2 years now for persistent knee pain brought on by osteoarthritis. Dr. Dempewolf is the best. Takes time. Explains everything including all the options and suggests reasonable next steps. Scheduling was super easy and the staff, from receptionist to nurse to X-Ray tech are pleasant and easy to talk to. 5-Stars on all fronts.

I am truly thankful for this gentle giant. Dr. Demperwolf my arm, neck and pectoral muscle is still swollen. Nevertheless where my injection was given it is NOT in as much pain. The Staff at Mid-America Ortho was second to none. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the nurses to our doctor were all incredibly attentive, they listened and provided excellent and efficient care to my 12 year old. This will be our new go to orthopedic facility.

Dr. Romero has been great. He is personable and knowledgeable. He has taken the time to chat we with me, getting to know a little about me and helping to set goals. PT may be uncomfortable but never painful. Dr. Romero has always been observant of my reactions to movements.

I arrived at the office about 12-15 minutes before my appointment, and then waited in line 10 minutes to check in. When I went to check in they told me that I couldn’t be seen because the paperwork that I filled out online did not go through. They could see I logged in, but the pages were blank. They then told me I needed to reschedule bc I should have been there 30 min before to check in, but I was told on the phone to be there 15 minutes early if I filled my paperwork out online. It is very hard for me to find a sitter for my daughter and it’s also a 30 min drive to get there, so it was a total waste of my time and money. I understand the need to run efficiently and of being on time, but I was not late AND I followed the instructions I was given. If new patients need to be there 30 min prior (and in my case, for issues that may arise with their online forms software) then they should just make the appointment 30 min earlier. I’m very disappointed with how the situation was handled and for that reason would not recommend this practice. I can’t comment on the skill of the doctors, but if this is any indication of the way patients are treated I would be concerned.

I had struggled with back pain for several years and Dr. Own referred me to PT. I worked with Dr. Bryan Romero and couldn’t have had a better experience. He quickly identified the problem. In a few weeks I was feeling better than I had in awhile, and my outlook from an athletic standpoint has not been this good in years. He was very personable and I’d highly recommend him to anyone in the need of PT!

The staff there is horribly incompetent but the providers are pretty great. First I was set up with an appt, by the office manager, at another location 45 mins away than the one I called. I was a new patient and didn’t even know there was another location. I wasn’t told until I had all my paperwork filled out. Then after I had the appt when I was checking out the lady didn’t say anything about physical therapy that was recommended so I asked if they offered physical therapy there. Her response was to ask if there was maybe some place closer to where I lived. I had to actually ask her to make me an appt. Third and most destructive incident was the day of my second physical therapy appt when I was called a few hours before and told they didn’t take my insurance and that all my future appts were canceled. I was told my past appts would be comped for their error because they had told me initially they took my insurance. I got a bill for my copay a month later showing they had in fact billed my insurance and the bill was paid. By their actions they cost me precious time and provider notes on an medical appeal I was working on that had a very narrow appeal window. When I called to inform them of their mistake they acted like they could care less. The sad part is I LOVED my providers but won’t go back because their staff is just awful.

Ive always received good ortho care in the past but I couldnt be happier with my transition to Dr. Dempewolf. The conversation is easy and he listens to my questions and concerns.

I really like my Dr Dempewolf. He has been honest to me about everything from day 1. He puts you first. My 1st surgery was delayed cause my blood sugar was to high. My fault not his, so took care of that got my surgery finally today. I think he is 1 of the best out there I trust him and his whole team.

Love all the staff at MAO. I especially appreciate Dr. Dempewolf in taking excellent care of my teenage son after he (repeatedly) hurt his knee. Dr. Ds exam and explanations of the injury and plan were very thorough and easy to understand. You wont find a kinder orthopod around!

The nurses were very nice, and made me feel safe and comfortable. They helped me get over my nervousness about surgery. The doctor was also nice and seemed very competent.

Dr. Own took the time to listen to my complaints and history. Not just take the time, but actually listen, and make sure he understood the problem. His examination was through and complete. He left me with a plan to resolve my problems. He truly wanted to help resolve my problem.

The experience with Dr. Dempewolf, (Dr.D) the surgery suite, and PT have been excellent. We do not have conventional insurance. We are cash pay initially. Our Co-Op not only accepted the quote, which Dr.D did himself, but rewarded us for finding and selecting him as the surgeon to perform my shoulder replacement. Theirs is a one-stop-shop as each discipline (MD,OR,PT) are all contained at one location. This also makes them very competitive for cash pay clients. Im about 6-weeks post-op and have had an entirely pain free experience. The staff was friendly and they were running everything very efficiently and smoothly. When I first walked in, I immediately felt at ease. Dr. Dempewolf made me feel comfortable from the moment he came into the examination room. I was very nervous, because I had never broken a bone in my life. Dr Dempewolf explained everything very clearly and helped me feel comfortable with the plan. The results of my/his surgery have been VERY good. My wife may need hip surgery and, if she does, we plan to have Dr. Dempewolf help us again.My only frustration has been with billing. We are cash-pay so we have been very attentive to how much everything would cost. Their overall price has been very fair but the billing has been confusing.

I have been seeing Brent for physical therapy and I truly couldn’t say enough good things! I have some chronic weakness and hyper mobility that has been complicated with pregnancies. I arrived at my appointment 35 to 40 minutes ahead of my appointment as I was asked to. I did the paperwork for them. I wish I was reminded to bring my list of medication I am taking. Thats important. This place made me feel welome my entire visit. My doctor was excellent. He sincerely cares. Im usually treated like a number not a person. I had completely tore my left bicep at work and fortunately for me I was given the opportunity to go to Mid America Orthopedics. Dr Yager was an awesome doctor explained everything in detail in a way I could understand and the staff along with the onsite physical therapist were amazing as well. If you have to have any kind of orthopedic surgery as unfortunate as that may be I would suggest you go here you won’t be disappointed.

Brent is an excellent PT and really helped me achieve my before injury motion and strength (well, Im still working on the strength, but hes got me most of the way). Dr. Yoder is an excellent orthopedic doctor. Everyone in the office is friendly and caring.

Great Docs! I originally attended this clinic because I heard they were great surgeons, but tried hard to avoid surgery for their patients. This is why Ive remained a patient for 24 months! Great Docs and Great Staff.

Dr. Eckland is amazing. I have followed him through different practices for years because he makes the most uncomfortable of situations very comfortable and is a real expert at what he is doing. I encourage everyone to check him out, especially if you are a first timer with knee problems.

Dr DempeWolf told my fiance while I was there he was sending her to the back doctor first and then he would take care of her hip. That did not happen they gave her some shots which were excruciating and then they tried to close the case saying that she was only at 2% disability and did not give her any permanent restrictions whatsoever. Meanwhile she still has to have surgery on her tear in her hip which Dr dempe never took care of. If you are going to them for workers comp I think you should record everything that they say because they lie. I dont think they are good doctors and they work for the insurance companies and not the patient by the way they dont care about your pain either!

Dr. Craig Yaeger is an INCREDIBLE and very thorough Doctor! I had been procrastinating finding an new Orthopedic Doctor when the one I had for many years closed his practice. It was upon a significant injury I had no choice to find a new one. Imagine my surprise to find a Doctor that was caring, compassionate and amazing at doing what he does! Makes me thankful I ended up with a broken bone, just so I got him! I highly recommend him to EVERYONE!

Doctor expressed his view on how everything appeared to him and any concerns he had, answering any questions I have and making sure I understood everything. Like the fact physical therapy is one on one. Each session is individually talored around the limitations and areas you need improvement, getting rid of the monotony other therapy offices have.

This place is excellent! As an Autistic adult, it has been very difficult to find doctors who will take the time to listen to my concerns and explain everything clearly—as well as treat me with respect and kindness. Every single interaction I have had with Dr. Yager, Dr. Own, their nurses/assistants, and the office staff has been very positive—and hopeful to me that there are good, compassionate and determined doctors out there who will actually listen and work WITH you on your medical issues.

Dr. Dempewolf is always patient centric and provides the best options for the care thats needed.

I have worked with Brent Melroy on recovery and treatment for multiple sports related injuries over the years. He is great at explaining your condition in terms that make sense, along with the corrective exercises. He has 2 physical therapy fellowships which less than 1% of therapists have that level of training. If you want the best long term recovery solution and hands on treatment check these guys out!
