I took my first The Bar Method class 4 months ago, and I fell in love with the supportive community and tough (but low impact!) workouts. It was everything I was looking for in a fitness class. I am just sorry I waited so long!

The Bar Method (all KC locations) is an incredible workout, studio and community. I started at TBM when I was rehabbing from a chronic back issue. Other workouts I tried continued to re-injure my back before I could get strong enough to protect it. It was a terrible cycle! TBM offers modifications for everyone—all ages and abilities. With them I was able to protect my back while also getting really strong. The more you learn the exercises, the harder the workout becomes—perpetuating lean, strong muscles. I’m happy to say it’s been years since I’ve re-injured my back issue, and it’s largely due to my workouts at TBM. Last, but not least, the community of folks you workout with at TBM are incredible, encouraging and inspiring. Big, big fan of TBM!

I’ve really enjoyed the bar method for the past two weeks. The instructors are incredibly welcoming, providing corrections without being critical. Others in the class are also very kind! Workouts were for sure challenging but low impact which is great for my injured knee. I was always excited to sign up for another class!

I absolutely love Bar Method. The exercises are safe and effective (I am a physical therapist), the staff is knowledgeable, encouraging and inviting, and the community is second to none. I have been a loyal customer for over 6 years and cannot see any reason to ever stop coming here. Its truly the best!!

If you want a solid, supportive community that keeps you accountable - this is the place for you. Here you learn physical therapist approved and created exercises that help you burn fat and carve muscle, the teachers are all so knowledgeable, approachable, and helpful. I’ve never liked going to classes much and this has changed my perspective on that, now I’m excited to wake up early and get my bar on! Love it so much!

I just love Bar Method. It really makes a difference in balance, strength, endurance and overall body toning. The instructors and staff do all they can to make the experience a rewarding one. It is more challenging than you would think at first but the results are amazing. Try it - youll love it. I sure do!

Bar Method has been transformational for me. I’m stronger, more flexible, and bounced back from surgery so quickly because of it. The instructors are terrific! Lizzy does a great job keeping everything running smoothly and Amy at the desk is fantastic! We have a lovely community of friendships, too. Thank you bar method.

I am older and out of shape. These instructors really help me by offering correct positioning so I do not get hurt and I can get through the class. All of the instructors are supportive and when my form is good they praise me. It is hard but feels so good! I hope for strength, balance, good posture, and weight loss, after 9 classes I know I am where I need to be for all of this and more!

The instructors are fun and knowledgeable, managing to give one on one type feedback during group classes, ensuring you have the most effective, personally challenging, and injury-free workout possible. Bar Method has changed my life! They offer so many different class times making it really easy for me to make it to class every day, and I benefit from basically having a personal trainer every day. I never have to stress over my workout plan for the day. I just show up and let them lead me to give my personal best!

I have been taking the bar method class for about 3 years now and it is one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. I have tried a number of different things to exercise all the way from cross fit and title boxing to running and yoga. I still do a little yoga and running, but for overall exercise the bar method is the best thing that I have found. If you stay focused during the classes, it will really work all parts of your body.The instructors for the classes are a big part of what makes the classes great. They are very knowledgeable about how the exercises in the class should be done and are very helpful during the classes and if you have questions after a class.I hope to continue taking the classes for a long time going forward and would like to see more guys join in the fun. I take classes at the Leawood studio and do not see very many guys taking the classes. I think for an older guy which I am, it is one of the best ways to get in an hour of exercise everyday and work a number of different areas of your body in one class.Thank you to the bar method and staff.

The teachers know their muscles and sculpting best is their full on business. I feel so strong in ways that I have never been in all the years of body pump and other boot camp like classes. If you have never done this give it a try and give yourself a month to feel the difference!!

The Bar Method is THE studio Ive been searching for!!! Im challenged, its tough, Im getting stronger, I love the moves & the structure of the classes, and look forward to it every time. Most of all, I deeply respect and appreciate the effort The Bar Method and its instructors go to in order to keep the workout safe and effective. THANK YOU so much for such a meticulously crafted full body workout, but also for going to such great lengths to help keep me from being injured

The most amazing workout ever! This is the only workout Ive ever been consistent with and Ive been keeping up with it for a few years now. The instructors give you the personal attention needed during classes to be sure you are working to your fullest potential. I leave feeling great.

Every class and instructor is wonderful. Every move is physical therapy based and I sweat during every workout and am challenged. Each person at The Bar Method is so kind and welcoming. They make an effort to create a positive and comfortable environment where every member of staff remembers your name. I’ve tried several other class based studios and this is by far the best!

I started coming here because they had a nice first time deal on the Mindbody app but I ended up loving it so much that I purchased a 6 month pass. I always feel good after my workout and Ive seen good results. The staff is really friendly and professional too.

These are the best barre classes I have taken! I love that they focus on posture and making sure that your body is in the correct positions throughout the entire class to keep your body safe during the workout! And everyone that works here is so friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like a regular after your first class!

Bar Method honestly is the best workout I have ever experienced! You dont realize how intense it is when youre doing it but the results with lean muscle and toning come quick! Its expensive compared to a gym membership but in line with other specialty gyms but even better. The instructors are amazing! Extremely welcoming and make a point to know every name in a way that actually seems genuine.

Excellent staff; trained & knowledgeable. Assist in modifying if one is dealing with injury. A good number of class times, but do wish they offered more 45 minute classes. Customer friendly & accomodating.

I was looking for a place that I could safely exercise without incurring injury but yet see results. Thats exactly what I found when I took my first class with Bar Method. The instructors are top notch, they know their anatomy and how the body functions. They correct form as needed and suggest alternative positions if needed. This is not a high impact class, no jumping and rushing through the moves but with their method and techniques your metabolism definitely fires up. I have seen my body change shape through the months and this was something I was unable to do on my own. I highly recommend Bar Method to everyone I talk to who is looking to get off the couch and start moving.

I love the Leawood Bar Method studio. Unlike lots of studios in the area, it is situated on a corner and wrapped with windows so every workout is infused with natural light and energy. It makes such a difference to be in that type of environment. The instructors are all fabulous, the workout is second to non and the community of men and women have become friends.

I have been going to Bar Method for three years, which included going through one entire pregnancy and post partum season and I LOVE IT. All of the instructors are knowledgeable and are fantastic at giving necessary modifications for pregnancy/post partum, as well as past or present injuries.My body recovered and “bounced back” twice as fast after my second baby then it did with my first; and I genuinely believe it’s because of Bar Method. I was able to continue strengthening my core in helpful (not harmful) ways during pregnancy with instructors who were well equipped and knew how to help, and I believe this is what aided in the faster physical recovery.I am always challenged, and encouraged coming away fe a Bar Method class. I would highly recommend!

This has been the best thing that I have done for myself in a long time. The workouts make me shake and I cant seem to finish a set but I have never felt so good about my body! As a new mother the added energy this gives me is a the best side affect my family could ask for. I am now officially addicted.
