Doctor Garcia hes very smart&good at what he does. Hes done allot for me and my care I do appreciate everything he has&still doing for me......

I see this doctor has 5 stars. I wish I could have met that man. I had received a prescription at the beginning of the month on paper and my son accidentally threw it away. I was reminded of policy that they will not give another one, no matter what. So I saved what little I had and made them last until I could be seen again. I was given an appointment with Dr. Garcia. First thing he does is pointedly look me up and down. I’m overweight and used to this look and unfortunately, knew how this appointment was going to go and Dr Garcia did not disappoint in that respect. He asked me why I was there and I answered that I was there to have my medication refilled. I then got a lecture about how they are not there to just provide me with pain medication because I want it. My jaw hit the floor and I told him I didn’t understand what was going on. He I had answered his question wrong. I told him if you wanted to know why I come to the Headache and Pain Center he could have asked that instead of phrasing the question to seem like he was asking me why I was there that day. It went down hill from there. The man berated me and talked down to me until I started crying, at which point he walked out. A nurse then came I was on the phone with my husband telling him what had happened and she heard about the thrown away prescription. I saw her checking something on the computer as if to verify that I had not filled my previous prescription. Then I had to do a drug test. Then he informed me that my MRI of my back was not in their records. This is the second one they have lost now. He also said that my X-ray was from 2015 and he’s not sure what my regular hpc doctor was doing. He said I needed a new MRI (not an easy feat) of my back and new X-rays of my neck before he would give me a new script. Actually that’s what he meant as he just kept popping in saying something and popping back out. I walked out saying I wasn’t sure what had just happened and I was cussing to myself. I went to the front desk and asked to not only file a complaint against Dr Garcia but my usual doctor who had threatened me twice on my last visit so I would do what he wanted me to. Dr Garcia’s nurse came out front, saw what I was doing and went and got him. He came out, accused me of calling him a name and when I said I didn’t he looked at his nurse who said ‘You were cussing’ at which point I told them that cussing to myself did not equate to calling him a name. I also said that I was no longer interested in talking to him and when he wouldn’t stop talking to me so I could see about filing the complaint, I raised my voice and said IM NOT TALKING TO YOU. He then told me I was banned from their practice and if I didn’t leave he would call the police. So effectively he prevented me from filing a complaint by instigating an argument with me so he could kick me out. No one should be treated this way and I should have kept my cool, but I had been kept waiting an hour and a half just to be berated. I hope anyone else who sees him has a better experience. I just know I’m tired of being treated by these people as a drug seeker when I’ve done everything they’ve asked and I don’t come in looking like a drug addict like some of their patients. I’m currently looking into filing a complaint with the state medical board because there was no reason for this man to have such animosity towards me when this was the first time he’s ever seen me.

Worse doctor n nurses in the field. They should all have their license taken away from them

I would recommend to anyone in pain.
