Dr. Santos was great! He really listened to me. He then offered several different options for treatment. We then chose to move forward with the option that best helped in accomplishing my life goals. This was a refreshing change from what Im used to(at the VA). It was not just Dr. Santos that was great. All of the staff from door to shining door nailed it.

Saw Dr Santos, 4 weeks ago, very pleasant. Went to PT for 4 weeks. Was some better. Neck & shoulder pain is why I went to him. Arthritis+ other posture & muscle pain. etc.Decided to try a shot which was the next phase. I could do PT at home. Got 2 steroid shots on my middle part of my shoulder where the pain was located plus my neck. As of tonite no pain. I feel much better. His practitioner Annie was who I saw and got the shot from. She was great! They are a good team. IF I have more problems I will go back & see Dr. Patel. Next phase.

I have only good things to say about the care I’ve always received from the Dixon Dively Clinic. All the staff is efficient, friendly and respectful. Appointments are easy to get and are nearly always kept on time.My most recent appointment was with Dr Santos, again I have only good things to say about the experience. My sciatic leg pain was treated with an injection earlier this month and my arthritic back pain was helped immensely with the physical therapy he ordered. I’m very pleased with treatment and with outcomes.

Dr Santos was very thorough and clearly is patient focused; he actually referred me to physical therapy rather than offer a treatment, yet took considerable time to both evaluate me explain my MRI results. I would feel confident in any diagnosis or recommended treatment he advises.

Test and x-rays ordered . He will contact me with results and discuss findings for possible treatment plan and pain medication ordered. Satisfied with plan. He has good doctor/patient mannerisms.

Dr. Santos is very caring, and explains his procedures in great detail. I have been very pleased with the results. I will continue seeing him as long as the problem persist

Very little wait time to see doctor! Always a plus. I had to have X-rays and the technician was very prompt to come get me. Minutes later Dr. Santos was in to see me. He was very kind and listened to what I had to say. He was very thorough in explaining the source of my problem by showing me my X-rays and MRI images. He preferred a non-aggressive measure of treating my problem first. (Which is what I preferred) Then going more aggressive if needed. I would highly recommend Dr. Santos!!

Dr. Santos is great! Have not seen him in quite a while. I see Annie his PA and she is absolutely fabulous. Well see her again.

I had intense neck pain. I was referred by Esteban Acevedo of Modern Physical Therapy, an excellent PT. Dr Santos’ office was easy to work with, very professional, and thorough with their evaluation. They accommodated my short schedule and exceeded my expectations with results. They listened, acted and did so thoughtfully & efficiently.

I came for a steroid shot to my S1. It was almost painless. The only thing about it was the anticipation, but they had music going and the doctors chatting with each other helped with that. I would highly recommend Dr. Santos. Hes friendly, knowledgeable, and makes his decisions/lays out your options for you very quickly.EDIT: Unfortunately, the steroid shot only solved my pain for 1 month. Ive also had a couple of bad experiences with Dr. Santos assistant, who comes across as annoyed and rushed me out of follow-up appointments as quick as possible.

While I am at the early stages of treatment with Dr. Santos; I believe we will arrive at a good plan for my treatment.

I saw Dr. Santos for the first time for pain at the base of my neck that has caused a nonstop headache for the 18-19 hours a day that I am awake, and pain that will occasionally radiate from the base of my neck out to each shoulder. I have never met with as nice a doctor as Dr. Santos. He was so respectful. When he asked me to describe my issue, he sat back and listened to me thoroughly describe the reason for my visit. He made constant eye contact and listened carefully to each and every word that I used to describe my condition to the best of my ability. I have never experienced such compassion, empathy, thoroughness, and kindness by a physician in all of my adult life! He then did an examination, and felt he needed more information for the condition than just the X-ray that was before him and ordered a subsequent MRI of the neck. Dr. Santos even said that he would involve himself in a peer-to-peer meeting to convince the insurance company that he felt the MRI was therapeutically necessary if the insurance company denied the request for the MRI. Dr. Santos is just so helpful and he is absolutely laser-focused on restoring his patients to optimal health and he will take all necessary measures to dive deeper into the problem and continue to investigate until he is absolutely convinced he has arrived at the correct diagnosis. He is just such a credit to the profession of medicine.

I was extremely impressed with the prep and how the nurses staff provided information before my procedure. I also appreciated having Dr. Santos introduce himself and clarify what was going to happen. As the injection was being done, he also made reassuring comments. The post care was much appreciated as the staff made sure that I was able to be released.

Dr. Santos is very good at explaining what the issues are, what he is doing to help the issues, and communicating with the patient. He is good at listening to the patient and is very easy to talk to. He and his staff are both prompt and courteous and keep the patient informed relative to what is happening. Scheduling is easy. I highly recommend Dr.Santos to anyone that has back issues.

Dr Santos is the best! He listens, does careful evaluations of your pain, and offers solutions that may include therapy or injections. If you need an injection, do not fear. I have had two and he has never hurt me. He is a fine doctor.

The EMG was not as painful as I thought it was going to be. I think the worst of it was just the nerves being messed with. Don’t stress if your going to have it done, it’s really not that bad and Dr. Fermin makes you feel comfortable with everything.

Not knowing what to expect, after suffering with back issues, after a fall. I was referred to Dr.Santos for a cortisone injection. After the wonderful reception from each staff member. Dr Santos is very knowledgeable and took the time to hear my symptoms and order additional testing. The problem isn’t the doctor it is the support staff. It took 5 days and two messages left with his nurse to finally get the MRI scheduled. Same problem in getting the results of MRI. I finally went to the imaging center and requested they release the report to me. I have again left 2 messages with his nurse requesting a call back to let me know what my limitations were going to be after I read the report myself and to also see what course of action would be taken. It’s been 2 days and have never had a return call!

Everyone was friendly and careing. Dr Santos has a great bed side manner.

This was probably the best doctor visit Ive ever had! He was fairly on time,listened and asked a lot of questions. He explained in detail what many other doctors have not concerning my problem. I did not feel rushed and he also gave me my back injection and that was also a good experience.Too bad we dont have more like him.....

Despite many factors implying the positive benefits I would probably receive from facet injections, Dr. Santos entered the examining room with his mind made up. He did not feel the procedure would be helpful.Several years back, I had a world-renown dr. fuse my back from L4 to S1. He now sees I need L2L3 needs the fusion, but was hoping facet injections may help the pain until the fusion could happen. And I also need hip replacement. He came in and told me all my pain is due to my hip. So he wouldnt even consider an injection.I was treated like I was inferior and unintelligent. I have a bachelors degree in nursing from KUMC and worked for HCA for 15 yrs. I am not an idiot, to say the least.

Very nice guy. Took my dad to see Dr Santos. He has a lot of ortho back problems. Dr. Santos listened and explained what he thought the problem was in very easy to understand terms for my elderly dad. The wait was minimal. Very personable.

I had a very good experience from the time I called Doctor Santos office to the time I left my appointment. Seems like a good practice. Went in for my neck and back. Got the mri for my back and they recommend injection. I hurt daily. But now ill have to spend more money to find someone that can do both. Very unhappy and waste of time taking off work.
