Ive paid for his childrens college and a few weddings. 😂 Seriously though, I have had challenges with my teeth my whole adult life due to genetics and because my parents could not afford dental care. Over the years I have seen him interact with his patients as though they are the most important person in his day. Dr. Ayers is genuinely caring, and has a gift for making people feel comfortable. After more involved procedures he has even taken time in the evening to call and see how I was doing. He has never pushed me to get a crown or procedure until it was absolutely necessary. Very, very poor experience.Was told I needed a crown put on after a routine checkup so went ahead with it and now I severely regret it. During the prep work they couldnt get the anesthetic to work at all so I kept feeling intense pain as they ground down my tooth and had to jam several needles into my jaw to correct it, even causing my heart to race from the amount of chemicals they were pumping into my bloodstream directly.I got an infection after the procedure that lasted for several days (they were closed for holiday so couldnt even contact them). After this I came in two weeks later to get the permanent crown and all seemed to go well and I left being told everything was fine and paid for from my earlier visit.Few weeks later I get a bill for an additional $110 because they added some cost on for tooth buildup (which I never saw them do, they just took off the temporary crown and put on adhesive and a permanent crown).To top it all off, I have known about a small cavity on one of my front teeth that is fairly visible and I was hoping they would deal with it. Not a single word about the cavity, they completely ignored it and only seemed interested in giving me more crowns (claimed one of my front teeth could use one too).Summary: This place is a rip off and Im convinced that they only want to do expensive procedures while ignoring actual problems. Then they botch the procedure and bill you extra just because they can. I dont know how everyone else has had such good times here, but I will never return. I hope you dont go here either. People like this shouldnt be making so much money off of people who trust whatever their dentist tells them.

I have been going to Dr. Ayer since I was old enough to go to the dentist. Dr. Ayer is great at what he does and truly cares about you. If he wasn’t the best I would not drive 45 minutes for my cleanings.I had my first cleaning today in his in building and everything is new and looks great! The sign outside of the building is easy to see from the street!

I had an excellent experience at Dr. Ayers office! I had a lengthy procedure that needed done, and they got me in and did it all in one stretch, and were very flexible. I had a root canal done, and felt little to no pain. Id never had anything done to my teeth, so that was a great relief! After assessing what needed to be done, they discussed billing and checked my insurance for me BEFORE they did any of the procedures, so I didnt get in over my head cost-wise. The staff was so kind, and incredibly helpful. I would recommend Dr Ayers to anyone! I was a first time patient, but they certainly treated me like a long-time patient and friend.

Great practice - I never really had a dentist that I felt comfortable with until I started going here. All of the staff are very nice and friendly and my hygienist Ashley is great. Ive recommended them before and would do so again.

Dr. Ayer and the staff at this dental clinic are terrific in every way. They are polite and professional, but they are also funny and personable, and Dr. Ayer is witty and informative and goes out of his way to make sure that youre satisfied. I have been fortunate to have had good teeth all my life, but Ive been unhappy with a few minor cosmetic issues due to past dental work that was not quite up to par. I thought that was the best they were ever going to look. But Dr. Ayer fixed those things, and he did it graciously. He understood that, even if most other people wouldnt notice those tiny flaws, I did, and he made it his mission to make me happy with my smile. I can now say that I have never had a more beautiful smile. I am so grateful that he persevered with me until my teeth were absolutely perfect. I didnt know how important fixing those teeth was to me until it happened. I cant thank him or his patient and generous staff enough!

Ive been going to Dr. Ayer for several years now. The office staff is warm and inviting and the dental assistants have always been wonderful with my entire family. Today was the real test, because it was the first time I needed Dr. Ayer to do something significant! My crown of 17 years had broken and it was time to remove it and prepare for a new one. After a horrible experience with a dentist 10 years ago I started going to Dr. Ayer. Due to this negative experience I have extreme anxiety any time a drill is used in my mouth. Dr. Ayer has always made me feel at ease and I have NEVER had any pain with him. That being said, today I had my first root canal. After finding out two weeks ago the need for this procedure, Dr. Ayer personally called to ensure I was okay. But, after the horrible stories I have heard about root canals and the horrific experience with a former dentist years ago, as the last minute I decided not to go.Dr. Ayers friendly staff called and we rescheduled. I just got home and words CAN NOT explain how amazing this dentist is at his job! Not only did I NOT HAVE any pain he handled my anxiety with the expertise of a therapist (I am a counselor so I feel comfortable making this comparison).IF I COULD give 100 STARS to Dr. Ayer and his staff I WOULD! If you are looking for a dentist for yourself or you children you will not find anyone more qualified, kind and understanding then Dr. Ayer and his staff in the KC area. I can also add that in the last ten years I have never waited more then ten minutes in his waiting room.
