Went to EWC for a Brazilian wax (not my first) and my experience with Amber was awesome!!! She is so nice and professional. I was in and out of there in just 15 minutes and she even recommended some products that she felt id benefit from and Im excited to try them out! She was very easy going and easy to be comfortable with. The environment as well was very clean. The front desk ladies were kind as well and my overall experience there was super welcoming and enjoyable!

I loved working with Skylar while I was pregnant. She would do my legs and Brazilian and made me feel very comfortable.I went with someone else today because I goofed up on my appointment reservation. I was happy they were able to squeeze me in while I was there, but was not happy with the quality of the wax I received.I will be reaching out to the location tomorrow to see what they can do to help with my experience.

I had always shaved and suffered from ingrown hairs So I did my research and found EWC!! had my first Brazilian wax... And let me tell you ladies Amber made my experience great. I was so nervous and shy but she talk to me the whole way making me feel relaxed and comfortable. She answered any questions I had. She was great I’ll be coming to see hair for any wax treatments. She also recommended me some body wash to help with my ingrown hairs. Excited about my new self love treatment. ♥️

Lawson has been waxing me for years. She gave me my first Brazilian ever and made the whole experience a breeze! She was super friendly and eased all my anxieties about the service by answering any and all questions I had! I recommend her to all my friends in the area! She remembered my name and things we talked about from the first visit which is really refreshing since this is a chain and I know they have a ton of traffic. I hope she never leaves because I feel like she’s more than just my waxer, she’s a friend! 10/10 recommend!

Beware of the upsells/wax pass.I tried two wax specialists at this location and ultimately felt like one did a better job (and made me more comfortable), so I stuck with her. I purchased a wax pass and utilized it for about one year. The receptionists talked me into extending my wax pass, but failed to tell me about the downside of the pass.Fast forward to now - both wax specialists I used have quit and I have over $400 tied up at this location. They refuse to refund my money (I understand and accept that I would be charged a cancellation fee). They will offer store credit, but I have no reason to return to this location, as I am getting my service at my wax specialists new location.Long story short, I am out more than $400. I learned my lesson the hard way and dont want anyone else to fall for it the way I did.

I can not even begin to express how good of an experience that I had with my waxer Lawson!!! I used to be a secret shopper for this company back in Arizona and didnt have a lot of good things to say about the services I received in those locations.....until I moved to Kansas city and needed a wax BAD. I reached out this location in Leawood and after reading some reviews Lawson seemed like the perfect gal!! She was professional, clean and personable. I would never go to anyone else I would highly recommend this esthetician and will continue to give my business to Lawson and this location!

Lawson was my waxer and she was awful. She didn’t greet me or see me out, did not speak to me hardly at all other than accusing me of drinking a ton of coffee or alcohol before my appointment (in the mid morning). Which I had not had either. She was very rude and unprofessional. This was my first time at this location. The location itself was clean and the front desk was friendly. I got a bikini wax and told my waxer it was my first time there but not first time getting a bikini wax. Do not use Lawson at this location.

I love being able to make my appointment online, and the reminder texts are awesome. I had to change my appointment, but was able to do it over text, and it was like chatting with a girlfriend. The techs are always super sweet and professional. The salon is always clean, youre in and out, they have it down to a science. Youll be spoiled and never want to go anyplace else!

Got my first waxes there this week! Wow, can’t stop telling people how great it went. I had a Brazilian and eyebrows wax. Check in was easy and fast, both waxes itself were fast smooth and great. Brazilians can always be scary but she just went right in and was speedy and professional! Although I’ve gotten so many before, that was my best. I saw Karli and 110% recommend her. I scheduled my next visit already!

My brows ended up being a bit thinner than I wanted, but the shape was nice and the service was good.

Had an amazing experience! Karlie was very gentle, uses great pressure, and is very professional. It took me a year to start doing Brazilians again after a terrible experience. I am so happy with my service and the center! Their exfoliator and ingrown hair serum are also some of my favorite products!

I have been a customer at this location for several years and have never been disappointed. The receptionists are friendly and schedule efficiently. They send both email and phone reminders of upcoming appointments. Each wax specialist I have had made it a point to get to know me personally. The rewards plan is nice; I pay for the services I use frequently in bulk and save. I have not visited other locations, but this one is terrific.

Meghan was not only super friendly but she explained every step of what was happening and answered any of the odd questions I had. :) This was my first time here, and also my first time getting anything other than my eyebrows waxed!! The front is beautiful and the ladies at the front counter were welcoming and really knew what they were doing. The prices were great and I even left with reasonably priced skin care product! I cant wait to go back in 4 weeks!

I wish I could show photos on here. I have been waxing for years, but had been going to high end waxer with 5 star reviews that cost way too much money & left my skin in red patches for hours. (My waxer told me I should expect that since I have sensitive skin.)However, I heard amazing things about Amber here at the European Wax Center and so I decided to try someone new... let me tell you - I am so damn happy I did! Not only was the wax less painful than my previous ones, but I had no redness!!! I looked and felt so great afterwards, I even went to lunch! That never happens. She’s my waxer from here on out.

This was my first visit. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The young lady checked me in and then sat down with me to explain their services and pricing and products. My only complaint about the procedure room is that the floor was cold. I have fine hair, so the waxing was almost painless. We chatted while I was getting the waxing done. I scheduled my next visit when I checked out.

I went to get my brows waxed for the first time ever. I was riddled with anxiety and very worried my eyebrows would be butchered. It was quite the opposite.The front desk girls were super friendly and very helpful. Alicia made sure to make me feel comfortable and helped calm my nerves. She explained everything she did during the wax and was very professional and super friendly. I will definitely be going back.

Let me make this clear, when i visited this location it was not my first time getting a brazilian wax. i’ve had numerous brazilian waxes done and i know what to expect and how to be treated. DO NOT GO HERE. the person i made an appt with was not even there so i had my wax done by a very young lady. almost too young to be experienced. the woman was so inconsiderate about how i felt through the whole process. did not even greet me or try to even have any conversation at all. i understand some people do not want to talk at all during a wax but this woman told me to come back, what to do when i was in the room and, that was it. through the entire wax she was very rough, rude, and in a hurry. after the wax i looked down and saw sooo much wax left everywhere. it took me about 2 days to get all the wax she left around my behind and pelvic region. she didn’t ask if i wanted to have anything cleaned up, tweezed or if i was happy with the result. not even a thank you, or a good bye. that was my first and last visit i will ever make. i highly recommend another location down the street, they’ve been taking many of their clients like should be doing. TERRIBLE.

The wax they use is quality. The girls are all young and brand new (less than a year)Some more chatty than others. The wax is definitely effective and they usually do a pretty good job.

I tried so hard to like this place... I’ll start by saying that my sister and I typically go together so this will go over both our experiences. First visit at Leawood location: she had a good experience, mine on the other hand, not so great. I had booked several services, but my waxer was unable to start my wax until almost an hour after my appt time, so I was unable to get the Brazilian as I had to push back plans already to get my legs and stomach done. The lady at the front told me she was behind bc she had to get more wax, and she had to take a break to eat. My sister was left waiting for 30 minutes after her wax before I was done for mine and she got all her services. Second experience: we went to another location, hoping for better luck. Her experience: the lady who did her wax was extremely rude, and made sure she mentioned how she hated working Saturdays, and she would rather be at home, while she was waxing her on a Saturday. Talk about making a client uncomfortable?? My experience was good. My waxer was friendly and was more through on hair then the first. She let me know she was moving to a different location which was further so that would be the only was I was able to get with her. Third experience: my sister said she no longer wanted to go to EWC so she went to another company. It was a further drive for me so I decided I would try Leawood again. Called and make an appointment for stomach strip, butt checks, and upper thighs. I asked the price on the phone, and she told me $40. I even asked her again, because I thought it would be closer to $60. She assured me all three services were $40. I even called my sister at this point and bragged at how low the price was. (Normally get full legs + others as well and it’s well over 100+) so I came in for my appointment. Karli the waxer was very sweet. She talked the whole time and made sure she got all the hairs, and double went over the areas with thicker/longer hair growth and made sure she got my inner knees which the last waxer missed. I was so happy with this experience, made sure I got her name so I could request her going forward. I went to check out, and my total was $80. Wait, what?? That’s double what I was quoted on the phone, twice. I’m a very soft spoken person, and didn’t want to feel uncomfortable by asking about the price, espically when I already felt uncomfortable by the lady trying extremely hard to sell me packages, products, asked me to book next appt now 3 TIMES, so I just kind of wanted to go. I figured maybe she just quoted one service at $40 and didn’t realize I was asking for the total for all three, so I just asked for a reciept and went on my way. When I got to the car, none of the services I got were $40... so it wasn’t an accident of her only quoting one service, since none of them were $40. (Legs 45, stomach 11, butt 24) so then I realized I was just charged, and paid double than I was told. I will not be returning. But hey Karli, let me know if you decide to wax elsewhere!

I am very disappointment with the scheduling staff. I called to book an appointment and I took the appointment that is coming up in 30 minutes. Started driving to the store and a few minutes before I get to the store, I got a call from the scheduling staff, telling me they double booked me. Another stuff booked that same time for another client, so they cant get me in as scheduled. What a mess, so I turned my car around and went home.

I highly recommend this location! They are great! Stephanie did my first Brazillian and she was professional and it was actually not nearly as uncomfortable physically or emotionally as I thought it would be.

If you want good service with people that care and notify you of their written policies- dont go here. The management didnt care that the construction causes people to be late for their appt. They even make you look bad on the phone to make themselves look good. Bad franchise, I called corporate.

I had scheduled online my first ever Brazilian Wax. Linzee at your location came very highly recommend to me by my coworker(especially for it being my first time). I had selected Linzee as my waxer for my appointment Monday 6/3 at 1:45pm. I was very nervous and I even noted that in the comments section when scheduling my appointment online. All was confirmed for Linzee. When I arrived the young lady at the counter was very polite and knew that it was my first time and explained everything on how the procedure and steps would be taken once in the room.Once I was taken into the room the waxer introduced herself and it wasn’t Linzee to my surprise. I had thought maybe Linzee was out sick or something for the day. Again, it’s my first time I have never met Linzee or knew what she looked like. We went ahead and got started and I again told her how nervous I was being my first time. There were sometimes it was pretty painful. There was the main strip that was at least the size of my hand that was so bad. I felt like my skin wasn’t being pulled taught to help relieve some of the pain.When I was taken out to the front I asked the same girl that checked me in what the name of the girl was that had done my waxing since I had requested Linzee she said at first that it didn’t show online that I had selected anyone in particular. I could see my receipt sitting on her desk showing Linzee’s name crossed out and the girl that did my wax her name handwritten in. Then she said I’m sorry about that someone must have changed it. She said she would make a note on my account to only have Linzee. I still have some spots that aren’t smooth, agin being my first time I wasn’t sure if that would happen. My coworker said no it shouldn’t be that way, as she is a regular with Linzee. Very disappointed that my first experience went like that.

This was my first time visiting EWC. Ive been getting my underarms waxed for a very long time so I figured I would test out the free trial on my underarms. The wait time was short. I got right in within 2-3 mins. The lady was nice and she did her job. I dont see any complaints. She explained what products she used on me since this was my first visit. No one pressured me to purchase anything. The wax seems like it would be a little less painful then the strips but we shall see on another area. I would recommend. I didnt have any problems.

I started going to this location since Dec 2015. I met with MaKayla who was amazing the last two times I booked a schedule they placed me with two other girl whom messed my eyebrows up!!! First girl, Gina, I didnt have a before picture to show them what went wrong. But I went in again after three months of putting goop on my eyebrows to regrow them only to walk out to extreme thin clown arched eyebrows. Literally even painted the inner eyebrows with sharp like the clowns do. I left in tears and made a complaint that Saturday. Its been 7 days now playing phone tag with the manager leaving messages left and right and they wont even call me back. You would think after buying their products and faithfully going to them, they would have some sort of respect for their customers. Instead I got dead silence and the run around. Hence why I am writing this to let you know their quality has gone the toilet including their front desk. I checked in ten minutes early but the two chatter boxes were too busy chatting it up and putting on Make up they forgot to print up my ticket for my appointment. I got to sit their waiting 20 minutes past my time, ten of those minute watching my (which I didnt know at the time) wax lady, Jess, text on her cell phone. Since the manager refuses to call me back so we could discuss this and so I can show her the before and after photos so I can be better matched with a better waxer, I was forced to put it on here for all to see. Thank goodness I still have time to regrow my eyebrows before I give birth or these people would of ruined my very special moment!!! Till this day I wont allow my husband to see me with this disaster I was left with.

My favorite girl (Jessica/Jess) left EWC Leawood to move to another state, however based on my needs and preferred wax experience (quick, efficient, and attentive) she recommended Kate before departing and how I thank her.What I loved about Jessica was that she waxed quickly and was a perfectionist - Kate is exactly the same. I know you might think theyre just trying to get you to spend money when they suggest the products or coming back 3-4wks - but I suggest it as well. I use both the exfoliate and ingrown hair serum between waxes and Ive noticed softer hair, less painful waxes, and a prettier bikini line. I am black and have course hair down under and so my waxes are always a little more painful than average - but because Ive been consistent with my waxing routine the hair is now a softer texture.The full Brazilian (including a back strip) and my tummy are my waxes of choice and I suggest booking with Kate for a perfect waxing experience.

Extremely rude lost my business due to requiring a kansas id for their 50% discounted program, I offered to show them utility bills and give them my landlords number, even show them my lease and they refused to work with me. Very unprofessional, I was planning on using them monthly as a service after the first time discounted rate, not anymore...

Today was the 2nd wax that Ive gotten in my life (my 1st was in Miami). I must say that I am extremely satisfied with my service at Europen Wax. 1) The front desk was extremely professional and helpful with all that I needed to know (as far as the different specials and so forth that they offer) 2) From reading a online review I booked Kate. I love that she is friendly and welcoming. You can tell that she shows interest in building relationships with her clients. Kate did an outstanding job with my Brazilian wax. Although I had tiny hairs she waxed what she could and plucked the ones that were a little tougher to get out. I also love that she was not all about the money, because of my some of my hair being short she offered to reschedule so that we could get a better wax (but I just went ahead and did it). Again with it being my first time, she walked me through the before and after waxing steps as she was doing it. I am cllleeaannn!! (Instead of me getting a wax in 4 weeks she told me to come in 5 weeks. To ensure that the hair grows long enough for everything to be clean. Although it feels and looks great)!
