My daughter has gotten her hair braided here three times and I each time the work was very impressive. She has gone to similar shops but the cornrows never last and the come up (extension braided in) within a couple of days. I would highly recommend this shop to others.

I have been going to Matah for over 3 years. Her tree braiding is amazing. I have very thin hair and getting sew-in extensions usually breaks my hair. The tree braiding that Matah does has allowed my hair to grow healthier and longer. Love Matah and her staff...such sweet and amazing people!

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BALD!! I came here on 12/09/17 to get my hair done for my birthday , I am leery of African braid shops but I had been here before without incident. I came under the impression that the owner was going to do my hair, with one other person helping her to do the back like before. The owner started me off and only did about 5-8 braids before moving to another client. Another girl who seemed nice enough started the back , no problem. So about 30 minutes later another lady comes in doesnt speak or introduce herself in anyway and starts braiding..this is when the pain began. I asked her to not braid so tightly around the perimeter of my head and she seemingly complied but the pain persisted. That night I had to take several Tylenol in order to sleep and the next day started noticing white bulbs around my hair line..I thought this may have just been initial shedding but by day 6 it was still occurring so I decided to take down the edges and have a family member reinstall more gently. As i took each braid down more and more hair was coming out from the root! I contacted a friend of mine who is a LICENSED cosmetologist and she informed me that the amount of hair they installed was too large for the size of the parts put in my hair and that along with with braiding too tightly was causing my hair loss. I had a full healthy hairline I dont do weaves, sew-ins, relaxers etc. I get my hair braided once a year and I wear my own natural hair 99% of the time. This woman whoever she is was the sole cause of this problem for me. Perhaps if the owner, Matah, would have braided my hair I wouldnt have had this problem.

This place was okay because I got box braid individuals and usally these braids take about 4 hours to complete. But, I sat in the chair for 9 hours straight without food, water, or restroom break. I didnt get to stretch and it was very uncomfortable sitting in the chair. But my braids are fantastic and I love them. Well done braids.

Very professional and welcoming. Prices are reasonable. If you have a certain style in mind, just bring in a picture or text it to her. Very accommodating. Will go back.

Im very satisfied with their service. Im very tender headed and went to get micros done and they didnt hurt at all I had 2 people started as soon as I got in and when the owner got done with another client she helped too. I would recommend to anyone!

The owner braids like lightning. The 1st time I went I got micros done. I was skeptical and was ready to be pissed off when I walked in and realized there would only be one person working on my head. I specifically told the person I spoke to on the phone that I can not sit for over 5 hours. Reluctant to start the braiding process, i expressed to her again i have to be out of here by a certain time. She said sit down it will take me 4 hours. I smirked and quickly decided I didnt have a choice but to just see what happens and work within those parameters. This lady Matah had my micros done, laid and to my specifics in 4 hours and 3 minutes! Not a hair out of place! I could not believe it and was very thankful to her. I have never witness one person do micros in under 6 hours. She is very very skilled. Update... 8 weeks later I went in to get my perimeter touched up/redone to ward off breakage and to keep a fresh look. Matah was not there. :-(my appointment was at 11 and I arrived 20 minutes early. I wasnt put in a chair and started until 12:20. All of the ladies that were there were very nice and welcoming. The young lady doing my hair took 5 hours to do 1/6 th of what Matah did in 4 hours. The braids were not neat and the knots are huge and are unraveling on day 3. Will i return? Absolutely! But I will only be braided by the owner.

This braiding salon is THE BEST salon that Ive been to in the metro Atlanta area. The staff and owner are courteous and their work is impeccable. I will continue to patron this establishment.

Never answer the phone and when went there it was open but no one was there. Not once but several occasions

Matzah has great prices, does an excellent job and has some of the fastest braiding hands I have ever had do my hair! Shes amazing!

I will never go back here again. They really didnt do the style that I wanted. Also, my twists started unraveling days after I got it done. The ends looked horrible, some were braided and some were twisted. My hair was done in such a lazy manner. I paid them a good amount and tipped! SmhJust awful!

Updating my review. Came in to get cornrows 2 weeks ago. When my hair was braided up, it was very neat and not once while my hair was getting braided did I feel that my hair was getting snatched. About 4 days after getting my hair braided, my scalp was itching like crazy. The day I got my hair braided, my hair was washed , deep conditioned, and scalp was oiled. Additionally, while my hair was braided, I made sure to spray water in my hair and seal the moisture with oil. Anyway, to make a long story short, I endured nearly 2 weeks of severe itching. Im almost positive it was because the combs that were used on my hair were not clean. I say this because, after I unbraided my hair, so much of my hair broke off. Additionally, I experienced severe dandruff. Ive been natural for a while and the amount of breakage I experienced was the amount I experienced when I was trying to figure out how to take care of my natural hair and that was like 2 to 3 years ago. After going through some of the reviews for this business, I noticed that I wasnt the only one who went through this type of experience. If youre going to get your hair braided there, I would suggest that you request the braider to clean the combs.

I’ve gone to Mahta a few times she skated my hair for my baby shower, however when it comes to my box braids she does what she wants and gives me a hard time when I’m specific with my request of ALL my parts to be the same size through my entire head. I wear my braids in different styles and random size braids everywhere is tacky. Her braiding skill is amazing all braids the same size and thickness but the parts! Omg terrible. I’ve made this request several times and each time I find different sizes after my hair has loosened up enough to wear it different ways. She charged me 160 for this work that looks like it should have been 100$ . I just even made the request at time of booking my appointment. And still ended up with a mess. Needless to say I will never go back.

I took my daughter there to get her hair braided. I too thought Matah was going to braid her hair. When i askedMatah was she going to braid her hair she became very defensive saying the lady she assigned ti do it was just as good. It looked neat when she finished and keep in mind my daughter had shoulder length hair when i took to this salon but when it came time to take out her braids her hair was falling out. I was beyond pissed. Now Im treating her hair bc since going there shes developed severe dandruff and hair breakage. Im so pissed bc they couldnt have sanitized those combs and whatever she was putting in her hair took it all out. NEVER AGAIN

I needed a back up because the hair braiding shop in Flowery Branch backed out..I called this shop @ 7:25 a.m. and was walking out at 2:00 p.m.with some well done micro braids..I will definitely take the drive out here wonderful service :)
