I have tried a few other Neurologists after my stroke and were very dissatisfied. This office is the best! The PA took her time and made sure everything was in order and any questions were to be given to the doctor. The doctor took his time and made me feel at ease along with answering every question that was satisfactory to me. Highly recommend this doctor!!!

Dr. Dixit was pleasant and very thorough. His PA was wonderful. She took her time with my wife and asked a lot of questions. She was a breath of fresh air.

Wife has epilepsy. Doctor was rude, inattentive, and dismissive everytime we went to see him. Would talk over you, dismiss anything you had to say because, in his words, Im the doctor, you are not. And good luck getting any response from the office staff. We tried for over a month to get an appointment set up, and no matter the time of day, or day of the week, we could never get a hold of anyone. Left messages, which were never returned. Finally had to physically go there to get a copy of the medical records, as we left that practice. Tried to tell us that it would take 10 business days to mail us a copy. Refused to leave. Oh look, printed one in about 5 minutes. Go anywhere else you can. Please. Absolutely terrible.

Dr. Dixit has been my saving grace. He is the first neurologist that I have seen in the 25+ years I have been suffering from migraines who found the magic treatment for them. I highly recommend him to anyone who suffers from migraines or is otherwise in need of a smart, kind, understanding, patient doctor.

I have a been a migraine sufferer for almost 7 years!!!! This is the first office in Vegas that truly goes that extra mile for you. I did not know I could experience such kindness in a doctors office.I want to give a big HUGE THANK YOU to KATIE, she went above and beyond for and helped with getting approval for botox. Beware, seriously beware!In my opinion, after giving him and his assistants: Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners a try for an extended period of time, by far, The Doctor and most of his assistants lack competency and knowledge, and they lack empathy, compassion and any effort to try to understand the patient’s situation and feelings.I am 52 years old, I have a Masters Degree in Economics, and I am highly intuitive, so this makes me highly qualified to Judge and differentiate between a good experience and a not so good experience with a Doctor or any Medical Assistant.I forgive Dr Dixit and his assistants and I pray they strive and choose to change for the better.I am posting this with the intention of Helping others to make a fully informed decision and to save them as much time as possible, since I lost so much time with this office, when I would have received much better care somewhere else.Bless You All, anyone who reads this.

The office is impeccably clean. Office staff are efficient and friendly . They scheduled my multiple tests within days! In a week and a half all my tests were done and dayfriendlywas my results appointment. I definitely recommend Dr. Dixit Shankar. Being a chronically illness patient most drs because they cant fix you, dont want anything to do with you. Theyre very dismissive and tell you your presented symptoms are all in your head. Your quality of care is greatly compromised so I was on the defense before even going. However Dr Shankar actually listened to me and treated me like my life is worth trying to fix whatever is going on. Thank you Dr. Shankar and the office staff!!🤟

His staff and intern were great, he was rude, laughed at me, disregarded a previous diagnosis..yet wanted to increase my medication for the diagnosis he didnt believe I had. Horrible and I will never go back to this doctor.

The main neurologist there lacks empathy and I wonder why he is a doctor. Perhaps just for money. But he gave me a nerve test and just tried to leave when I was trying to ask him questions about my nerves. He say it’s only one bad nerve not a big deal. I am like no it is a big deal to me it’s my body. How dare you say that. My point is go somewhere else. Believe me.

🚨🚨🚨Please do not go there. Dr Kamen was horrible. Talked to me like I was a child. Im in my 40s. He was rude, in a hurry, wouldnt answer my questions. Dr Kamen brushed me off & said it looked like I had strokes but he was going to write it off as seizures. Then saw Dr Dixit for nerve tests, but he wouldnt answer my questions either. Told me Id have to make another appointment for 2 weeks. Even though I have horrible anxiety & already waited years to do the MRI of my brain. Now I had to wait 2 MORE WEEKS just for one of them to explain why my brain looked like I had strokes or seizures. When I went back to Dr Dixit after waiting 2 weeks, he was confused why I was back. When he came in he seemed reluctant to talk to me but then explained all the things wrong on my MRI which was not anything like what Kamen told me. DO NOT GO THERE! Its a tiny waiting room and they havent followed corona mandates since I started going there months ago. Horrible clinic! 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

HORRIBLE DOCTOR!! Seriously do not go here!!When I first walked in, the lady at the front desk was very nice. She had a great energy and was very helpful and welcoming.I filled out the paperwork and then waited for about 30 minutes past my appointment time. When I got called back DR. Dixit came in, and seemed nice enough at first, but then he tried to up my prescription from 200 mg to 500 mg! Absolutely not!! I’ve never even heard of that!I am seven months pregnant and I told him I did not feel comfortable. Then he proceeded to change it to 300 mg and told me that I needed all types of testing that I know I do not need because I took them recently. It made me feel like he didn’t really go over my medical history at all. He mis-diagnosed the kind of seizures that I have even though I am very aware on what kind of seizures I have, and what causes them and does not. I tried to explain to him but he was still Insisting I need more test done even though I have not had a seizure in six years. Then he said he would call in a prescription to my pharmacy, but he gave me no paperwork, no receipt, nothing. He said it would be there by the end of the day and when I went they had nothing on file which is not OK given I cannot skip days especially being pregnant. The next day the pharmacy called me and informed me that my 30 day supply was over $500! He had prescribed the complete wrong medication and gave me a brand that I had never heard of Nor taken before, instead of the brand I have been taking for years. Luckily the pharmacy knew me and recognized that, and asked if I would like to switch to the same brand I had been taking as it would also save me well over $400!! Very unprofessional and I would never return. Horrible.

Dr. Dixit was never an issue for me it was ALWAYS THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF. So I eventually stopped going for migraine treatments. Then yesterday I was sent there for another medical issue to learn Dr. Dixit is out until March supposedly and I was seen by Dr. Charles Kamen and he was rude, inconsiderate and just overall horrible bedside manner. Appointment was at 145 didnt get checked in until almost 3 after having to go to counter numerous times and didnt get out of there until after 5 pm. Dr. Dixit needs an office dump or hell lose all patients several people in an uproar yesterday.

I have only seen Dr Dixit a few times since moving from California, he is a good doctor but i must find a neurologist closer to my location because I do not drive and have to depend on rides to and from his office which is 15 minutes both to and from .

The dr misdiagnosed me and put me on a medication that he said I would need to take for the rest of my life. At a follow up appointment he said all my test results came back fine but he wanted me to continue the medicine for a year and I couldn’t just stop taking it or I’d end up in the hospital.During this last year my insurance company changed and I needed a letter from his office stating I was cleared for surgery. They told me I had to schedule an appointment to get the letter, so I did only to be told (after getting there) he wouldn’t see me because of the new insurance. I asked for the letter he already wrote several months ago that was in my file that cleared me for a previous surgery and they refused. I asked what was I supposed to do and the girl at the front said “I guess you need to find a new dr”. They expected me to get the Ok from another dr stop medication that was prescribed by Dixit, unreal. I had to talk to the pharmacist about how to wean myself off of the medication.The Dr. was very quick to get in and out - he spent less than 5 minutes talking with me and he wouldn’t show me my test results, his response was “there’s no need to see them”. My husband was with me and was disgusted at what he said and his hasty exit from the room and never return.I had a couple of dr.s asking why on earth was I taking that medication and that there was no need for it but when I told Dixit that, he said you should have had them call me. Yeah right.After my first appointment he apparently sent a letter to the DMV which made them put a restriction on my license. I had to reschedule my appointment for DMV because of that. He never told me anything about that then the next time I had an appointment, the nurse told me it was standard procedure and because my tests were normal they would sign off on me being able to drive again.The girl who checked me was very rude.I wish I would have read these reviews before going to see him.

The most rude unprofessional doctor i have ever seen. He didnt examed me at all and was quick to misdiagnose me. I mean, how did this man is licensed? His staff is just as bad. But seems like they are under great pressure acting frantic. Please dont waist your time or money.

The Doctors are fantastic, it is not a rush to get to the next patient, it is about getting things right and whats best for the patient. The concern is genuine I really appreciate Nurse practitioner Carol for the care and time she gives my son. He has Anoxic brain damaged I feel the love from everyone here.

This office used to be the best, however now I wouldnt go to this office no matter how good the doctor is. I loved Dr Dixit but you cant even see him if you are not a new patient. And his staff that he has does not care about the patient and always has an excuse for the way there office is run. As a office manager myself perhaps they should re-evaluate the way the office is run and make it more patient friendly because you do not feel welcome. Shame on you for letting your office go downhill what happened to your excellent service that you used to provide. Sorry to be leaving you but its time.

Most RUDE Dr.The Dr. I was seeing at this clinic left so I had to see him. He didnt bother to read my record, ask how I was doing, or anything else. He walked into the room ... . Saw I didnt get a test done due to incompetent staff not filling out the referral fully and correctly, yelled at me at left. All this in 30 seconds! He was unwilling to here how his staff failed because he kept walking down the hall.. But you can be assured he billed my insurance for a full office visit!He also wanted a nerve conduction test done. I scheduled the upper and lower to be done together to ease my stress. The lady doing the test didnt want to do the upper and lower on the same day... When asked why, she repliedBecause we dont make money that way. We do upper one day and the lower one day so we can make money. It takes a lot of money to run this office and the dr wont let me do both on same day. Just sit in this office and listen to the people come in and complain about screw ups with the office and the Drs!!

The Office staff and processes are not customer friendly. Trying to get in touch with office is unacceptable . You had better plan on being hold for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour. When ask for the office manager you take your chances in getting any kind of a response in a timely fashion. I hear the doctors are great. I hope to have a better experience with that part.

I rarely leave reviews of any place unless the place has horrible service or vice versa. This office is all about the money. The provider I see is Dr. Arlyn Valencia, and she is a great neurologist that understands and cares about her patients. On the other hand, the staff is incredibly rude and inconsiderate. I have never seen Dr. Shanker Dixit, the owner of this practice, since 2017 when I first attended this office. I have had problems with my medication refills more than once. My seizure medications are sent to the VA Hospital, and the VA pharmacy has told me no prescription was sent to them when Dr. Valencia ordered the medication. I called to ask for a copy of my medical records. They charge you 60 cents per page. I asked if I could make my own copies. They said this is how we operate. And, no I cant. They get paid hundreds of dollars per visit, but you are charged for copies of you own records. I dealt with other clinics and have never paid to get my records. They are all about money. Dealing with this clinic is just too frustrating. I cant stand their terrible customer service.

We have just had an initial visit. And it went very smooth. My mother has had many appointments as of late and this was a good one. Front desk staff was friendly. We had an appointment later in the day and we were still pulled back very close to our appt time. In the back the tech was also very nice. The room was clean and there is a cool computer white board with stuff to learn while you wait. Dr Dixit came back very quickly. It was very nice in that we could tell he actually reviewed her case before coming in.

Very poor service by Sabrina at the front office, My appointment was at 11:15 and I arrived and signed in at 10:55.... about one hour later, I asked Sabrina if my name has been misplaced as most of the other patients who came in after me have been seen...!!!??She rudely said, “ oh, we only have 3 providers” ...well that did not make sense and it was a poor excuse...!!! What does having 3 providers have anything to do with other patients being seen ahead of me?Sabrina acted like a “ thug” and a “ gang banger” who’s looking for a fight.Imagine that in a doctor’s office ....!!!!!I also noticed another patient was treated the same way by Sabrina, and she walked away from her...!!!!!I would NOT recommend this office.

Dr Valencia, is amazing, the only Dr. that listen to all my issues before recommending treatment. She is amazing Dr. I owe her so much thanks.She changed my quality of life....

I appreciate Dr. Dixits consistent care and attention. For example, when there was a paperwork mix-up by the check-out staff, he immediately got involved and straightened it out. The new office is a attractive improvement over the previous bare-bones place, especially the waiting room with comfortable seating and even a soothing tropical fish tank.

This office drops the ball when it come to prescriptions. My pharmacy sent an authorization for my refills on 12/6/19. I spoke with Sonia who handles these request and she assured me it would be taken care of the same day. When I arrived to pick them up no action was taken. Here I am the next day with no seizure medication and no authorization. Mind you I ran out of meds three days ago.

Dr Dixit is awful. He has the personality of a rock. His front desk staff seem like they are mentally challenged.The doctor is too quick in his consultation to even offer any kind of real help or diagnosis. He caters to those on Medicaid and offers very poor service.Also his English is VERY bad. Perhaps this is how patients in India get treated. Go back!Get a different neurologist. Your health could depend on it!

Ive been seeing Dr. Dixit for about 4 years now due to migraines. Hes been the best experience Ive had with a neurologist, the staff is always friendly and he takes my symptoms seriously while considering what Im comfortable and uncomfortable with. Truly a great doctor! His scheduling is a little weird but he is one of the top rated in Vegas so its worth it.

Dr. Dixit and his office staff are amazing. I love them. Very organized, courteous and professional. He has great bedside manner and was very thorough during my visit.

First, the office staff is very friendly and professional as are the staff members who take your vitals. Once past that point though it is a different story. My father (who is 79) and I were seen by Rachel. She came in the exam room and was asking rapid fire questions before she closed the door behind her. She did not introduce herself and I had to ask twice what her name was. She would ask her next question before my father or I had a chance to finish answering the previous question. Suddenly she was up and racing toward the door. We had to stop her and ask if she was coming back as she said nothing to us before the door was opened. She said No, I am done with you. I told her we had several questions which she did stay to answer however, her answers were short and she kept asking why we didnt ask these questions on a prior appt. She didnt want to accept that we didnt have the questions at prior appointments. She curtly stated that she is allowed only 15 minutes each patient and cant just give us 30 to 60 minutes for us to ask questions. I let her know we didnt want 30 minutes just some answers to our questions. She was very rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. We will request to NOT be seen by her again. She definitely is not representing Dr Dixie well.

Very happy with this office. The staff is friendly and Dr Dixit actually sits to listen to what is going on instead of rushing out to get to the next patient. Im very happy with this dr.

These people are terrible. I have to wait on hold upwards of 10 minutes just to speak with someone, and then nothing. Time to request new prescription and nothing. Pharmacy never gets anything. Call back the next day, same song and dance. Its now been a week of calls, each with at LEAST 10-15 minute holds as people check with whoever it is theyre checking with and still nothing. Now Im waiting for a manager to call me back. Yeah right. There is no way that this place cares for its patients one bit. A simple prescription refill is a nightmare. Never in my life have I been treated this way, and this is not the first time Ive had issues with this office. Im done. The care I get is rushed, uninformed, and lacks any personal touch whatsoever. My GP can do anything these people can do but much better. By the way, Ive only seen Dr. Dixit one time in the years that Ive been coming here. ONCE. Im not even sure the dude is even at this office anymore. If they make this right Ill update this review, but until then, beware. This office is a freaking nightmare.

My experience was exactly what I would expect out of any Doctor and their Staff. Their professionalism was an ethics were outstanding. Having worked in the Medical Field myself, I look for how they treat the patients, answer phones, etc. The waiting time was short. Dr. Dixit spent time with me and didnt just rush me out of the room. He listened to what I had to say because what the patient has to say is important! I have to give credit where credit is due....and they deserve 5 stars!!!! Thank you Dr. Dixit for taking good care of me. I have not had a good experience with the doctors here in Vegas, so when I find a good one, I will stay with them! Your Awesome!

Terrible office staff. Every single time I call, I immediately get placed on hold. In a single day, I called 3 times, each time being placed on hold and no one ever came back on the line to help me. I simply wanted to be sure my appointment was still on for the following day, because they don’t even call to verify that simple detail. Today I called (placed on hold immediately) to find out if there were any nerve testing cancellations, when the girl came back on the phone and I asked, she, without hesitation, responded with a hard “NO”. At least pretend to check and don’t be so rude.When I had my appointment the other day, there were SO many people “working” there, that why I am placed on hold every single time, is simply baffling to me.I can only hope my nerve testing goes better than my experiences so far.

The office staff is disorganized, unprofessional, and does not follow through to complete important tasks such as giving the patient prescriptions and/or necessary work documentation when promised. When you call back to follow-up, you will be left on hold forever and told to go to the emergency room if you dont like it. It is a terrible shame because the doctors seem to truly know what they are doing.

Dr. Dixit saw me 3 times doing absolutely nothing to help me with my condition. Dr. Dixit then told me he was going to refer me to his nurse practitioner who knew more about my neurological condition and the medicines I kept asking him about. The 1st visit with his nurse practitioner was about 15minutes every visit since then she spent less then 5 minutes listening to my concerns. The office staff are rude and not courteous at all. I assume the office staff must have written the good reviews here because every patient in the office I have spoke to was also unhappy with the service here. If you call for any information or need assistance you will not be helped unless you come in for an appointment. If you call for any reason even important lab results you will need to call at least 3 times to get a phone call back. I went to the neurology center for 6 different appointments and am no better today then a year ago. I also have no answers about my condition. This place is all about the money not helping people. I would say I am definitely worse off now then I was before going here. I feel like a guinea pig for whatever medicine is paying the neurology center the best to prescribe.

These people are all about lining up patience as cattle not actually treating anybody. I waited 5 months for my appointment for an EMG and when I got there they were a hour and a 1/2 late and only schedule me for a consultation I dont need to talk to you you should have read my charts before I got there and familiarized yourself with my case and done the NG that I was scheduled for I better not see a bill

I have been working with dr.dixit for almost a year now after being diagnosed with ms. The treatment has been extremely effective. I am grateful to him and all of his staff for giving me hope for a better future. I have never had a bad experience with them. I will happily refer him to anyone who asks.

Dr Dixit has no time for his patients. He is very unprofessional. Once he diagnosed a family he didnt even tell the patient what is wrong with him he told a relative that showed up with him. Also he didnt explain the diagnosis he just said to look it up online. What kind of doctor are you. This is not a zoo to treat human beings like this. I would never refer anyone to him.

Worst treatment is here. Their office and outside presentation is great but that’s a diversion only. They have a bunch of girls sitting in front to greet etc. you get to see one of the interns, main doc see 5 mins and give a prescription. It made condition serious and then consulted another doc next day. This way the first consult with this doc. Additionally got DL lost (no doc do it) so that I become regular patient. My 60$+ med cost totally wasted. Be CAUTIOUS!

Went to this office cause I have really bad migraine and my 2 fingers were numb waited 2 months to get an appointment saw dr Vazquez she poked me with needles to see if I had any pinchEd nerves which she said I had a lot so scheduled an appoint to get trigger point she gave me about 18-23 injections in my neck and head lost count so did my boyfriend she said to tell her when I couldn’t take anymore told her multiple times to stop she didn’t my boyfriend was like she doesn’t want anymore these took place on a Thursday I called multi times Friday cause both hands and my jaw was now numb went to emergency room cause I thought I was having a stroke dr Vazquez’s was super rude and said wasn’t her fault to come back in maybe I need more injections cause she didn’t release all of it I was not ok with that me and boyfriend went back the next week as I had an appointment to get Botox to help with headaches and I wanted to understand why I had no feeling in hands and jaw as the er said I was fine they didn’t know to go back to doc who did itI told her when I’m appoint I didn’t want the Botox yet as I wanted to know why I had numbness and still hurt she got really upset and started screaming at me and boyfriend very hostile and I was super scared as she was waving her and screaming at us I recorded it as I was in fear of my safety she was in my face and boyfriends face and my boyfriend was holding our baby she went out and we had to wait for the main dr Dixit and waited for 45 min and then he was like u need a different doc I’ll refer u to someone else as he wouldn’t see me not sure why I just want to know why I am numb and hurt I had mri of back and head but no one can tell me what is wrong went to a spine doc I do have damage as he said I didn’t and so did she the office manager and this whole office has done nothing and is hiding dr Vazquez’s getting fired and or quitting as she called me multiple times on my personal phone violation of my hippa rights as if a doc doesn’t work at a office why does she have my personal info the office manager has given me the run around for months even gig me other patients medical records still have no referral and no feeling in hands and it’s getting worse

I still havent been in to see the doctor so I cant rate. I will however, rate the staff. I have never dealt with such rudeness or incompetence with a reception staff in my life. When I tried to let the office manager know, hoping for at least an apology, she couldnt even do that. Just rude and unapologetic. It took me 4 full business days to even get anyone on the phone! Ive been paitent because everyone says the doc is REALLY excellent but the staff makes me want to find another office .

I have been seeing Dr. Dixit for many years now. His knowledge is exceptional and he knows what he is talking about! He was the first doctor to be able to diagnose my condition after a decade of symptoms and finally provide some relief. The office staff is kind and caring while Dr. Dixit truly cares about his patients and their wellbeing.

My son and I have been going to Dr. Dixit for the past 2 1/2 years to get botox every three months. It isnt scary, but a relief. I have never had any side effects from it. Within a couple of days of the shots, I feel relief for at least 2-2 1/2 months. There are breakthrough migraines, but the severity is not there. Dr. Dixit knows what he is doing. Very professional and a great bedside manner. Would recommend him to anyone.

Dont go. Save time, money and get some real care.

Dr. Dixit was referred to us, for my son, by the emergency room doctor. We switched neurologists and are completely happy with this choice. In the 2 months that he has been seeing my son, we have gotten a lot further in testing and diagnosis, etc, than we had with our previous neurologist in over a year. Dr. Dixit is thorough and complete in his evaluations and care.

HORRIBLE!!! I urge you to seek another neurologist if you need help. My experience was so horrendous it cost me crucial time in getting help. He spent less than 5 min with me and said less than 5 words to me both times I saw him. He takes short cuts in his testing which are either lazy or so he can fit in more 5 min appts in his day. Its not my place to say why, all I can say is its affect on me was disastrous. I ended up in the hospital, unable to walk. I am now fully disabled and dont know what my future holds. Im not exaggerating my experience. My only goal is to protect and warn other ill people looking for help to not waste your precious time on an appt with Dr Dixit.

Dr. Dixits office is great! I love Dr. Mattila - she is amazing. She has been great in helping me navigate through uncertain and sometimes scary times.

Wow this place finally blew it. No secret Dr. Dixit is not well liked but he HAD a great Neuro on staff. I have been going here for over a year was so excited I found a migraine expert in Dr. Arlyn Valencia. She has been helping me rehab my cervical dystonia as well. A week before she left I sat down with the office manager because the front office has no clue what they are doing and scheduling girl needs to pay attention to her job. I was scheduled for a treatment on Nevada day they confirmed my appt when I arrived all locked up and I called 2 days before. I knew Dr. Valencia was having trouble with the front office I didnt know she was going to quit because of it all but Im glad she did !!! Ill follow her when she can legally take on her patients from this practice. Little background I work in healthcare and work with surgeons this is not a healthy environment.

I would NEVER recommend dr. dixit to anyone. they are constantly canceling appts and then when you show up they say your appt was canceled without letting you know. i tried calling since aug and have an appt finally in dec 2018. all he did was pawn me off rather than address my added issues that i had.

Wouldnt listen to me at all. I wont go back to him at all. If you ask questions he gets insulted. No bedside manner.

My partner had a stroke and was hospitalized for 5 days. Discharge instructions were to see his neurologist within DAYS. My partner is an established patient here and was told soonest appt. was 4 weeks out! Even after I explained the urgency, the receptionist would not budge. In this town, its the staff that destroys a Drs reputation. They are, for the most part, incompetent and I wager than the Drs have no idea the abysmal service their staff gives patients.

They received my referral and never called me , plus when u call they place you on hold and dont ask , they are rude and are fast to transfer

The staff & Dr were attentive, pleasant and made me feel comfortable and that they wanted to help.

Office staff is constantly overbooking and scheduling wrong dates for appointments, and if you need to cancel a wrongly scheduled appointment for a Monday, but not told about it until the Saturday before, you’re out of luck because they’re closed on the weekends. Never going back.

Waiting room is cramped if you have any mobility device. Parking for Handicap is limited to ONE space - so consider it taken.Ive been going for several years, never have had a thorough neurological exam.They dont really listen to you, but will answer any technical question. They are always quick to get you on your way.Dr. Dixit is not personable and has never given me a neuro exam. Allison will talk to you, but it is clear they want to clear their docket.

Sign a million papers stating if your insurance doesnt pay you will...i can understand 100,000 but a million is a bit much especially when you never see Mr. DIXIT. thats right I said d ixit cause he is definitely not Doctor material

Nightmare. The office is staffed with self-important liars who try to fakenews an escape when they are cornered. His appointment was only 5 minutes ago No that was not the scheduled time for my husbands appointment, it was almost an hour ago. Well, we only say that so you can do paperwork. Hes a returning patient. There is no paperwork. Well, that is why we say that.I hope no-one in that office has already reproduced. Unfortunately i saw the glittercrusted frames of childrens class pictures. Too late for man-kind: gene pool -F

*edit 11/12/20*I love Dr. Dixit, but his office staff are the most incompetent people Ive ever dealt with. My pharmacy has been contacting them for 3 business days regarding a refill and they have not responded. I am now out of my seizure medication. My pharmacy was kind enough to give me an emergency 4 day supply while I fight with these people over the phone.I also asked for the office manager to have one of the doctors fill out a form for me in order to apply for a service dog from a program out of state. I sent the paperwork in September. The first issue I had was that the office manager told me there was no need for that to be filled out because I can just make my pet dog a service dog by buying it a kit off the internet. Not only is it a federal crime to pass off a pet as a service dog, but a pet dog will do absolutely nothing for me and my seizures. Second issue was that a month passed and no one responded to my email. I went in on October 30th for an appointment and reminded the office manager about this. She said shed get back to me. Here we are nearly 2 weeks later with no response from her.I feel like the staff here are consistently getting worse and worse at their job. I love Dr. Dixit, but Im very close to moving to another neurologist solely due to the incompetence of his staff. It shouldnt have to be a battle to get a refill on a life saving medication or have paperwork filled out for a service dog that will increase my quality of life.*original review*Dr. Dixit is the best neurologist Ive ever had. My husband and I feel very secure in the competency and professionalism of Dr. Dixit. Dr. Dixit and his staff are always very efficient and pleasant. If you need a neurologist we highly recommend Dr. Shanker Dixit at Neurology Center of Las Vegas.

Doctor was helpful, gave me good advice, waiting time was fair. Front office staff very poor: told me I cancelled but I never did. They sent me the forms to fill out ahead for first time patients. When I arrived they told me, the forms are old & I need other forms to fill out. I told them 3x my birthday and she still wrote it down incorrectly. OMG! After the visit withDoctor, nurse told me to wean of the medi which was not true!!! Thank God the Doctor heard it and corrected the mistake!

Dr. Dixit had knowledge and experience with Lewy Body Dementia vs. Parkinsons issues and understood right away what I hoped to achieve during our visit.

Had a few problems with appointments but other than that so far so good. Im a fairly new patient.

This office never returns phone calls. I had to wait two weeks to make my initial appointment. When I finally received my appointment and went through test the Dr does not take the time to explain things. The tech that did my nerve test made assumptions about my symptoms and test results that she should not have that caused me stress and to worry. They also referred me to a specialist without checking if the doctor was in network. I went to the specialist 5 weeks later and they said they could not see me cause I was not in network. I went straight to Dr. Dixits office and the office manager and referral lady said they would fix it and get me a same day appointment. I waited for 2 hours and finally asked if I could leave and they call me with the appointment time. They called at end of day to say they couldnt get me an appt and would call me the next day. No call the next day. The following day they called and said they could not get me an appointment because it was not an emergency and I would have to take care of it by myself and wait all over again for an appointment with a specialist. I am in pain every day and they added to with this mistake.

LMAO I see reviews here from people with the last name dixit so anyone reading reviews here should be aware that most of the good reviews here are written by family and office staff. If you want a true opinion of the service you will receive here read the reviews with less then 5 stars. Or if you dont believe the bad reviews your welcome to try to go here then you will also be inclined to write a bad review. Phone calls are not returned. Dr dixit and his staff run people through here like cattle trying to see as many patients as can be seen in a day. If you love terrible bedside manners and not being listen to you should go here.

As a stroke/aneurysm survivor new to the state Dr. Shanka Dixit, neurologist was instrumental in my life getting me back on the right track with the appropriate medications, hes not a guy who talks a lot, he is a very smart dude, who doesnt have to spend the day in order to conclude a matter, he is very kind, respectful. I trust his knowledgeth the entire staff are extremely accommodating, nice office always clean. Try are good on follow-uo calls. Dont hesitate just visit. There were only two staff/docs here that were actually kind. Dixit himself needs a lesson in better bedside manner when dealing with his patients, especially those of us with life long illnesses. He rarely smiled and gave short answers to important questions asked. When he did a muscle ultrasound test on me, he came in, took out this long thin needle, and stuck it in various places in my arms, having me flex each time, then got up and left me bleeding. The only reason I didnt lose it, was the nurse had already prepped me and told me what they needed to do. She was the one to give me alcohol swabs to clean the pierced parts of my skin. The front desk is slow to recognize when you need something before setting up your appointments. They had me make an appointment for a particular day, so I did; but about 1 day before that appointment, i got a call from them saying they have to cancel it because I need to got back to my pc doc for another referral. Why didnt they know that before hand? I had already taken that day off work, so it was in our system. So I had the inconvenient task of going into our absence system to cancel my absence, thereby taking away the job of my substitute, and seeing our front office clerk to have her search out my absence and cancel from their end. Theyre also impatient, not liking when I had to turn my payment card on before I could use it to pay the copay. I dont know if theyre like this because thats just their personalities, or if theyre burned out dealing with people with brain issues, but I know if they want that office to survive, they better get it together and improve themselves. I see a different neurologist now, and shes the total opposite of Dixit.

I have been seeing Dr. Dixit for several years now. He was the first doctor to be able to diagnose my condition after a decade of symptoms and finally provide some relief. The office staff is kind and caring while Dr. Dixit truly cares about his patients and their wellbeing.

Dr Dixit and staff are very friendly and compassionate. Ive been able to consistently make timely appointments which has not always been my experience with other neurologists. All tests have been done professionally and comfortably. With the consultations after being clear and consice. Dr Dixit seems to genuinely care about the well being of his patients. Overall i would definitely recomend Neurology center of las vegas.

I want to warn anyone reading this and considering seeing Dr Dixit to stay away from this doctor. Ive had several neurological workups, EMGs and nerve conduction studies done in the past, so I know from experience what they are supposed to be like. During my first appt he tapped my elbows and knees to check for reflexes (4 taps total) and then left the room! I am not exaggerating here. He said maybe 10 words and took a few seconds to tap me 4 times. Then I was left in the room wondering what had just happened! Finally someone came in to tell me that I needed to go up front make an appt to get my EMG and nerve conduction study at another time. I made the appt thinking that I had waited 3 months for this appt so I should follow through. Three weeks later I had the Nerve Conduction Study with the tech and an EMG with Dr Dixit. He walked into the room, doesnt have me lie down, inserts the needle 4 times and again....leaves the room! He didnt explain, discuss, ask questions...nothing. He is a robot who seems like he is doing as little as possible to collect his fee. I was told to make a follow-up appt, but I just left. I just wish I could have warned all those patients in the waiting room to find another doctor. Its psychologically harmful to treat patients like this when they are already suffering.

Too bad I cant give ZERO stars.DR. DIXIT and his office minions are as COLD as the front waiting room of his office... 55 degrees all of the time, even in winter. The reception area is cold, cramped, and uncomfortable. The fish tank should warn all patients that you will be treated just as the fish are treated. They are IGNORED most of the time, and we have spotted dead floaters in there on multiple visits. The immediate give-away on this place is that the two access doors on both sides of the patient care area are LOCKED AT ALL TIMES. You have to be buzzed in, and buzzed out. Are you guys really that concerned about your safety back there? And who exactly are you trying to keep out? Disgruntled patients perhaps?The interval between each buzz (IN/OUT) happens as quickly and rushed as the care from the staff themselves. Its quite an amazing spectacle, literally as if they herd you in like livestock, and herd you back out just as fast. Average time with Dr. Dixit has been 2 minutes max. Ive timed it on my cellphone stopwatch. These Docs are more concerned about lining their pockets with gold, than providing quality care for their patients. You are simply a number at this place. Dont be fooled. And be forewarned...once you start receiving treatment on a prescribed basis, you are doomed...especially once the serious and adverse side effects begin.There is no talking to actual people here over the phone. I also had to leave a voice message with the Nurse Practitioner...explaining my current condition which worsens by the day, Anyway, my calls and voice messages have gone virtually un-answered...unheeded in any way. Having no other alternative, I went to the ER yesterday, and they ran a full scope of tests that determined I was perfectly healthy, accept for these side effects of which I have related. The soonest availability this office says they are willing to see me is the second week of December 2016. I cannot continue for this long under the current condition of my health. This Dr. is not providing an acceptable standard of care, and he and his office staff HAVE NOT BEEN ACCOMMODATING IN THE LEAST BIT. If you know anyone who goes to these docs...and you truly love them...spread the word, because this is the reality, and I am experiencing it. Most of the 5 star reviews you will read here are likely MANUFACTURED AND STAGED by the office staff themselves. Dont be fooled. Dont rely on them for any point of accuracy! If you dont like being treated like a number, or a head of livestock, stay away from this COLD UNCOMFORTABLE PLACE.UPDATE: 10/25/16---Just got a certified letter in the mail today from the staff at Neurology Center of Las Vegas. This is exactly how it reads:You will recall that we discussed our physician-patient relationship in my office on your visit. (No...no I dont actually) As we discussed, I find it necessary to inform you that I will no longer be able to serve as your doctor. While this is unfortunate that our relationship has reached this stage, I will not be able to provide medical care of any kind to you after the date of this letter.---Signed by Dr. Dixit... with a cold digital signature stamp---There is no valid reason given in the letter whatsoever, where this would be justified, other than the TRUTH...that I laid out in my comments above. I still cant get through to this office, or Dr. Dixit...it is completely unbelievable. This is a doctor who has provided the WORST STANDARD OF CARE I have ever seen from a board certified neurologist. Props to the ER Doctor I saw, whom DIXIT talked down on...he actually helped me more than DIXIT would ever be willing to.My voice messages have still NEVER been returned to this day. Just this lovely certified letter which I simply see as them covering their butts... since they know they screwed up BIG TIME. Zero courtesy at all from the cowardly folks at Neurology Center of Las Vegas! Everyone beware, find better care! I already have.

Horrible coordination and dr doesn’t care about an office issues. He’d rather a patient have migraines than change around his schedule.

I have been going to Dr. Dixit for a couple of years. He and his staff are fabulous, always so nice and helpful.

An hour in a half of waiting for a consultation and we are still waiting.. watched 5 other people who came in after us come and leave... not sure why and how your scheduling is but you need to fix this because we are still waiting to be seen..

Dr. Shanker Dixit, is corrupted, horrible experience. First time i went to this neurologists to get my FMLA papers signed, he told me to give him 60 dollars or he wont signed it. I found out at work that they supposed to sign it for free because i have culinary union or the least they charge is 15 dollars.second visit, i went desperately and terrified to seek help on a condition an symptoms i started developing around 18 years old, i wont go on specific details, its related to migranes and this substance that keeps coming out of my throat,like a lugy when your sick and i preety sure its brain matter or something related to the brain system.so i went the second time thinking i might get treated from a different doctor, ask them do you take culinary union insurance? Told me yes, had me waiting for 40 minutes fill out papers, went inside an waited as well. Nurse came in took my heart rate,ask me questions, allergies ect... Left waited....then Dr. Shanker Dixit, came in, i though about the last time,but i hope he could help me, i began telling him my story an even showed him pictures and videos of the white lugys that still to this day keep coming out an im 25 years old now.he interrupted me an didnt let me finish my story, he started to prescribed me some pills just like tylenol or those ones that you give to unstable people (no offen to anyone) as i felt that day like nobody care if my life could be in danger or not taken seriously while im worried that i could die is extensively painfully.he told me to go make an appointment with his assistant for xrays ect.. I never went to go pick up those pills or attend the appointments. I felt he might have been racists towards me and didnt care.2 months later i received a bill for 560.00 to be payed to him cause it said my insurance was denied. If my insurance wasnt working why accept me or treat me anyways.also i didnt know.my insurance supposed to work.he harrasted me for 1 year to pay him hes money.basicly for a 40 min wait outside and a 10 min service inside with questions..now he forwarded to a collection bureau an is demanding 750.00 dollars. An saying there gonna keep increasing the amount trou time. I recently lost my job and im sick, i decided i gonna end my life an committ suicide. I apologize to other people suffering from this strees or depression im doing this for you guys to raise awereness,this is the reason why people give up on their lifes, because of companies,clinics, and establishments harassing them for money. Thats why where in an era now where money is more valuable than somebodys existance. Well thank you if you read this far.

Been in his office forever never get my Prescription I see practitioners nurse not happy with anything never saw the md they do not know what going one only want to see me every month to bill my insurance they dont care about patient

My son was under Dr Dixit’s care for two years & only saw the Dr on our initial visit. All he ever did for us is prescribe medication through his assistance. His care isn’t very caring.
