Dr Shah is excellent. His staff is also excellent. Thank you for taking care of us and getting us in for an appointment quickly. I truly appreciate it and appreciate the doctor and staff saying they will help me with my medical needs at any time. They all are truly compassionate and caring. Im so glad I went back to this office. So much nicer, cleaner, and everyone is organized. Thank you. I really needed you all and thank you for accepting me. I really think you all at Dr. Shahs office are excellent and super caring.

Quite frankly, dealing with mental health issues and coinciding your mental health in the hands of this practice would be very much a fumble. As a young man, I have struggled grasping a way to handle all it comes with. The doctor do not take into consideration what you communicate. Just keep trying different ones until it fits. Very hard to reach the staff, even after many voicemails. Never a return. Don’t trust your health here

Completely impossible to reach anyone by calling and they rarely reply to voicemails. I’ve run out of medication in the past because they do not call back within an appropriate amount of time. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I work in an office and understand that it’s busy but this is unacceptable.

Has to be the worst healthcare organization I have ever dealt with. I left no fewer than 6 messages over 10 days and never once got a call back and this is for an existing patient. No one ever responds to voicemails at this place. When i finally got through and finally made an appointment, I never received a confirmation email and had to call back to see why the appointment was never booked. Very badly run practice.

Im going to be completely transparent that I enjoy Dr. Shah but the staff is quite possibly the worst Ive ever engaged with in any professional setting. Ive never had to call so many times just to a get a prescription filled. Not only that but they consider the 3 minute call a telehealth visit so they can collect a copay each time. If at all possible, I HIGHLY recommend you find another medical provider. The front desk staff (if you manage by some divine miracle to actually get ahold of them) is very rude, especially when asking questions about insurance and the copays. Save yourself the time, the headache and disappointment and go ANYWHERE else.

Never answer the new patient line and wont return voicemails. Very strange way to deal with MENTAL HEALTH patients and actually pretty dangerous. Even if you arent accepting patients you can at least call back.

I was very reluctant to get help for my mental health. I was so scared that I was practically shivering. I had just my daughter and thought I could take things on my own. As soon as I walked in Dr. Shahs office I felt so much weight lifted off my shoulders. He was very kind and understanding.Everyone that works there treats you like family. I am so happy to be a patient. Now I am able to go back to school and give my daughter the life she deserves! Thank you!!

This place doesnt even deserve 1-star. They are the most unprofessional medical office Ive ever dealt with. Its impossible to get in touch with anyone and they will cancel your appointment for no reason after waiting months to be seen. If you leave a message, it takes 4-5 days to get a response. Not exactly ideal when youre managing a childs meds.

Tried to reach a person in this office multiple times to only reach voicemail and the mailbox was full on every line. Once I did reach a person, she was rude and either spoke over me or cut me off repeatedly. I was given an email address and incorrectly told that I cant schedule an appointment for my son as he is an adult, which is not true. HIPPA does not apply to that. I found a better Dr and already have the appointment. This place is horrible.Edit- Now that I told them I have an appointment somewhere else, Im getting long emails that the other Dr is violating laws by doing so. 🤣😂

Ive been trying to call in to pay a copay for the better part of a week. The phone either rings forever and I cannot leave a message. Or I get put on hold forever and never returned to. I had a telehealth appointment scheduled for this afternoon that never happened. Im borderline in crisis and this is how I get treated? Honestly, go somewhere else if you need help. It almost seems purposeful how unavailable anyone in the office is. Treating crisis patients like this is how you get dead people on your hands. Shame on you, FBM. Do better!

Beware, if you leave a negative review here you will be threatened! Nevermind the fact that clearly with the number of negative reviews its on the part of this staff (or at least the administration, no issue with the doctors personally), no no, personal responsibility? They dont know her. Make sure you switch out before leaving an honest review apparently or theyll threaten you and leave you without medication aka they want people to go through withdrawal; heard this from several people so I took their advice! I was Very nervous and Scared. The Front desk were Very nice. I asked for a Woman doctor. And I got a man doctor. He was no help to me. W i.p.o all not go back there.

Scheduler very rude and unprofessional! They lost my paperwork and never bothered to call and cancel my appointment. I waited for the therapist to call and nothing. So I called the office. No answer and they didn’t return my message. I called again today. The secretary was very accusatory and wouldn’t let me speak. Very unprofessional and a very bad first impression. I should’ve listened to these other Yelp ratings. This is not how people should be treated.

My mom is a patient with Dr Randall. She has tried all week to get a refill on a prescription. It is now New Years Eve day and has had no response. She will run out if meds this weekend. No response and no refill called in. Who does this? Stay away from this practice. How can they not be sued for malpractice??? This seems to be common practice at this office. STAY AWAY!!!!!

It should be noted that the recent reviews of this place are based on a tiktok by an unhappy patient thats become popular. Its unfortunate the person who made the tiktok had a negative experience with this place, but its important to note that per HIPAA privacy laws, patients do not have a right to psychotherapy notes and cannot ask for them, if that was her request then it would not have been granted. Its unlikely her doctor requested those as they wouldve known better, hence the office honoring the doctors request and not hers. Also, a lot of the anger from this person came from issues about a fax not going through, and as frustrating as it is even in 2021 yes there are still issues with fax machines and faxes going through, I see it constantly at work even with electronic faxes. Fax lines get busy and things dont go through and it often happens multiple times. Thats probably why it came quickly to this persons personal fax that was unlikely to have been clogged up with multiple incoming faxes. Furthermore, it seems that this business was upset not by her negative review (considering how many they have - which they should take seriously and really consider some overhaul of their business policies and customer service - thats not something that likely wouldve set them off) but by the person in question impersonating what I assume was her doctor but using her own fax number. Its likely the office thought her doctor was trying a new fax number since the other one appeared to not be working. Impersonating someone else to obtain records is something that should be taken absolutely seriously and the anger felt by this office for that behavior is justified. I only say all this not to excuse any rude behavior by the staff at this place but because working in medicine Im very well aware that many disgruntled patients do not entirely tell the whole story and are easily riled up by people who also dont fully understands privacy laws in medicine. Just something to consider among these recent reviews.

Half of the staff is completely rude and unprofessional. Especially the older receptionist or scheduler.I’ve worked in heath care admin for 20 years and never been so mistreated. People are willingly trying to pay their bill and schedule appointments and to completely mistreat while dealing with heath problems is unprofessional and inhuman.

The absolute worst office I have ever encountered. There office staff needs some training, especially when it comes to customer service. I made an appointment a week ago. I was told my copay was far more than what I have ever paid anywhere and more than what is listed on my insurance card. My card says $30 but im being charged $51.26. I later get a voicemail saying my appointment was going to be telemed which would have been pertinent information at the time of my scheduling. I also wasnt given any information on there telemed protocol. Do I call or does someone call me? Also had I known it was a telemed appointment I would have scheduled a sooner appointment knowing I wouldnt have to leave work/home to come in office. Furthermore, for a telemed visit my insurance copay is $10. Since I am already established at this office I was going to just deal with it and take it up with my insurance later vs. having to go get established at another office and be delayed longer in having an appointment. I get an appointment reminder yesterday to confirm my appointment for today and I do so. I call today to pay my copay before my appointment and am told oh your appointment has been cancelled. No notification was given so if I had not called I wouldnt have known until later this afternoon at my appointment time. I was told they left voicemail last week which is a bold faced lie, I check my voicemail several times a day and return calls. Why would I have also received my appointment reminder yesterday if it was cancelled? The reason given for the last minute cancellation was because I would be considered a new patient? Not sure why and no answers could be given. Its not like its been years since Ive been in the office or anything. Not so much as a sorry was given. Never have I been to an office with such incompetent individuals. I will not return here and I surely will not be sending any patients from my office here!

I have moved here about 1 1/2 years agoSince that time I have tried repeatedly to get the meds I was on for over a decade before moving here. Doctors here in Florida seem to not want to give me those meds. Muct be because they actually worked well for me and why actually give me the meds that worked well.

Dr. Mayer and Dr. Randall are both highly educated top quality physicians. Dr. Mayers current medical assistant (Dec 19) is absolutely amazing. TThe girls up front try hard and mean well, but the phone system is horrible. Dont let the location or people in the waiting room scare you off if you have secured an appointment with Dr. Randall or Mayer.

I am sorry to hear about the negative experiences, but for me and family, Dr. Robert Mayer and the staff overall have been great. There is one front desk person who can be nice sometimes and a little abrupt at other times, but, overall everyone is caring and accommodating for us. I hope that the others here have found a good fit. I know it is not easy as there is definitely a shortage of qualified mental health professionals.

Horrendous experiences here. The billing department has absolutely no idea what theyre doing. They change the amount they charge every single time I schedule an appointment, they have me pay over the phone for the entire amount and then send me a bill in the mail as well. When I call to ask about it they have no answer to give, they just want to take your money for nothing. Not to mention, I can never get ahold of anyone to refill a prescription, so I have to call in 5 days ahead of time and call them every day before I finally hear back. The office is grungy, the staff is unprofessional and extremely unknowledgeable. Not sure how theyre still in business.

I’ve been going here for years, great doctors! The issue is, the phone system And front desk are terrible. I found this place years ago when everywhere made you wait 6+ months to get seen. They Happily welcomed my son and I And we were seen in 2 weeks! They take all insurances too. There are several doctors on staff and this is a facility that mentors new doctors that are doing their internships. They are closely buddied up with a senior doctor so there is no concerns on that. Since I started going there 5 years ago, I’ve seen 4 different doctors. All of them were great! I really mean it, I’ve had bad doctors before, these guys actually care about their patients! I used to be concerned with the doctor change, but every time was fine, they actually read your chart and continue with your treatment plan unless you ask them to make changes.The phone issue is huge.... but The doctors make it worth it. You are better off going there in person instead of calling them. This phone issue really drives me crazy... I’m hopeful that they will get that issue fixed very soon. The front desk ladies are rude, half of them have no clue what they are doing half the time too. I’m assured that there will be new Front desk staff soon as I am not the only person complaining about their behavior. I travel 25 miles to go there once a month for my son and I and it’s worth the drive.I hope my review helps, the missing star is for the phone and front desk issues, otherwise it would be a 5.

This place will fail to send you your medical paperwork and then when you complain they’ll fire you with no notice and no refills on your scrip.

Changed insurances. Current child’s doctor doesn’t take it. Two other doctors in the practice do. Yet current doctor has to “authorize” child being able to be seen by the other doctors. Prior to this, care was mediocre. The facility in St Pete is dated and depressing.Am going on 4 phone calls, 7 days with no returned calls, a child who is struggling, and needs medical attention. The lack of urgency and care for a child patient is scary-bad and I can’t imagine dealing with this provider if my child was in crisis. Have notified the insurance provider and am told they will be filing a report so they will no longer refer patients to this practice.

If am considering filing a complaint to the Florida Board of Medicine, recommending that Dr. James Free have his license to practice medicine suspended indefinitely. I have seen him, as the successor to the last resident I was assigned to, approximately four or five times. I have suffered from a number of psychiatric disorders for over 30 years - probably more years than he has been on this earth. His manner of listening and prescribing has been supercilious at best and insulting at worst. In fact, I dare say he doesnt listen at all. He pronounces edicts and announces that he is the expert and that my input is irrelevant. A dreadful mistake was made the last time I left Florida and visited my family in Maine. Rather than allow me to explain the mistake, which my family is entirely willing to explain and to support me in expunging or at least providing the extenuating circumstances surrounding it, Dr. Free immediately escorted me to the door, explaining that he would no longer be able to prescribe me the scheduled medications that have formed part of the basis for my treatment since 2006 - without incident, and I was told by the desk personnel that I was not allowed to speak to my original real psychiatrist, Dr Nihal Shah.Medical malpractice? Absolutely. I am formulating my official response to this inexcusable, incompetent, and heartless treatment as I write this. I will be mailing a letter by certified mail to Dr. Free, his medical school, the other doctors at Florida Behavioral Medicine and to the Florida Board of Medicine, once I have recovered, if I do, from the suicidal spiral and the consequences of abruptly stopping a regimen of benzodiazepines that I have myself reduced over the past seven years. I sincerely hope that at the very least, Dr Free will be supervised properly should he be allowed to continue practicing medicine at all.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gills for 10 months. She treated me at the Retreat initially and I liked her so much Ive continued to see her on a regular basis. She is my kind of Doctor. In 10 months I have never been disrespected by anyone at this facility. I have never experienced anything other than kindness from the girls behind the desk. As a 50+ year old woman, I am always impressed that such young women have taken on the arduous task of dealing with the likes of us with mental health issues on a daily basis. I invite you to sit in the waiting room and listen to the conversations they get involved in. By nature, this is not a field of daisies! And no one is there because they are mentally healthy. So try this: Before you reach the front door take a big deep breath in, let it out slowly, open the door and approach the window. Smile and say, Hello! How are you today? My name is --------- and Im here to see Dr. Gill. I guarantee you will set the stage for a positive experience.

If I could give this office 0 stars, I would. But unfortunately I have no other option but 1 star. This office is horrible. The staff is horrible and so rude. You cant reach anyone on the phone and the one time you do they answer by saying HOLD ON! And never get back to you. Ive had 4 different doctors because they all seem to leave. I wonder why. I will be switching offices, no one there cares for the patients and if they want better business they should hire people who have respect for others not nasty people who have 0 respect, knowledge or communication skills. Its next to impossible to get through to anyone at either facility. When you leave messages its a rare occurrence that someone calls back not even the doctors assistant. I just was supposed to have a telehealth appointment with my doctor over the phone and my phone never rang. When I tried to call back their phone lines were not working at all!

After several appointments I am told that the therapist isn’t on our insurance and we have to pay cash for our appointment and owe them for previous ones. Clearly this office doesn’t know what it’s doing if several months later they just realize their therapist isn’t in our insurance network.

The office staff is severely incompetent. They hardly ever answer the office phone. Half of them dont know what the heck they are doing. Dont get me started on how difficult it was for my new doctor to obtain my medical records from them, even after filling out all the proper paperwork. Was told a 3rd party handled the medical records and theyd be faxed out the next day. A week passed with numerous requests for the records and finally after getting a malpractice lawyer involved were they able to send my records within minutes. Not to mention the psychiatrist I saw (whom no longer works there) prescribed me a pill that would have cost me $1500 out of pocket a month, after my insurance lapsed. I feel this practice is about making money and not about actually helping their patients.

The other reviews are SPOT on. If you are lucky enough to get in touch with someone here they will speak to you as if you are bothering them. The staff who answers the phones and sets up appointments are EXTREMELY rude. I have no idea how a business like this keeps customers? I am taking my insurance and Co-pay somewhere else.

Horrible office. This is the only office my daughters insurance takes. I tried calling for 3 days got no call back so I went there to make an appointment waited over an hour in their waiting room to be told they forgot about me. Made an appointment for the next day was given the run around at that appointment and told to schedule with a different doctor in their practice. Called every day for almost a week was given different excuses. No one in the office is on the same page. Still waiting for a call back from their office after almost 2 months. I ended up paying out of pocket to take my daughter somewhere else. RRun dont go here.

I am a patient of Florida Behavioral in Clearwater. I see Dr. Randall. He is an amazing doctor. I thankful that I was placed with him. He is thorough, listens to his patients concerns while looking for the best care for the patient. He is thoughtful and understanding.There is room for improvement in the staff and how the front desk and phones are run however. it is really hard to get through to the office when you need to and hold times can be very long. This can be very frustrating when you are having a bad day. Having worked in the medical field myself, I know the staff can be overwhelmed at times.

Ive been a patient of Dr Tons for a long time now and Ive never had a better more dedicated doctor. He takes time with his patients never rushing so that together you come up witg the best course of action. My case is complicated as I have cancer and alot of previous trauma. Working with him has helped and brought me so far. He always promptly returns calls. What impresses me most is his character along with his ability as a physician. I recommend him all the time to anyone in need of a wonderful physician. I drive an hour to see him and am happy to do so

This is by far the worst practice I’ve ever called/ gone to. Front office staff has zero phone ettiquette. They won’t let you get your sentence out before assuming who to transfer to, will transfer without another word. No one answers and you can expect to leave messages and wait more than “24 hours” for a call back. If you miss an appointment, you can guarantee you won’t have another for weeks and then it’s a game to try to get medication. By far the worst clinic I have been to.

The office is very busy, however they do take time to call patients back after listening to messages (I myself have witnessed this) The doctors care about their patients --Therapists included. Ive always been greeted with respect and dignity coming into this office. Never have I once been disrespected or treated awful. Dr. A Patel, and many of the other doctors are well educated and have many, many years of experience. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

At the Tampa location, I, on separate occasions, have left a voice mail to schedule an appointment, to get a refill, and they do not return my call. Ive had to call the Largo location to try and get a reply there. I still had to leave a voice mail. My suggestion would be to always make your next appointment, when you leave from an appointment. I know people are busy but you are in the mental health practice where people really need their medications. Otherwise, dont take new patients! I would change providers but I like Dr. Smith and its hard to find a new provider!!

Go elsewhere if you have the option. Cant reach them on the phone, perpetual billing issues, charges for services not rendered, unsympothetic management when I try to get issues resolved.For a behavioral clinic, you really should work on your people skills.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mayer for quite some time now and I am surprised to read some of the reviews on the office staff. My experience has been that they are overwhelmed as a whole, but have always been very kind and professional. In the event that I have had to wait on a phone call or to make an appointment, I have always been greeted with a sincere apology. They are dealing with us, as quickly as they can, let us give them some good credit. As far as treatment with regard to my mental health and medication management, Dr. Mayer has been very thorough and takes the time to explore what plan works best for me and my lifestyle.

Dr. A. Patel has been great with my son. His medication regime is helping him transition to a life as an adult. I know it hard to get in at first and they dont call back when you want an appointment, but once you get in, they will schedule your next appointment on the spot. Be persistent. Just do your best to show up to them all. Office staff has been friendly.

I love my Dr here. Dr. Saggar finally got me to a stable level and Im very happy. However, Ive been calling for Rx refills, as the Dr said to do, and leaving messages for a week. There had been no response. Ive been without my meds for a week. Im feeling sick and vomiting and havent been sleeping. I went into the office first thing in the morning 9:00am and lefty information and reason for visit. Old woman in front seemed indifferent and didnt care cut me off while speaking and said someone will call me. I returned to the office at 2 and still nothing. Again cut off while I was talking. Didnt feel any urgency for a patient pleading for their psych meds because of being sick, high anxiety, no sleep. Just said someone will get to me when they can. Im scared because I dont want to end up in the hospital. This is the worst experience ever!! If Dr. Saggar left this office I would follow because hes a great doctor and to also get away from this uncaring office staff.

Dr. Mayer is a wonderful doctor that actually listens and is responsive and interested. He is always willing to work with dosages and changing Rx to correct any side effects. He is very responsive and skilled. Been seeing him since around 2007. Staff problems are worth putting up with to be treated by Dr. Mayer. The quiet separate waiting room he has is a very nice touch.

Dr. I saw was great, but office staff especially one in particular talks to you like youre not even human. Worse office staff I have ever experienced . There was one pleasant receptionist who works at the 66th St office in St.Pete, other than that this place is not worth going to having to deal with the rude, non compassionate, egotistical people you have to talk to on the phone when you can get a hold of them. Phone is always busy. They dont return calls.

The staff lacks professionalism...the individual named Sarah whom refused to divulge her last name (after she wanted my credit card number over the phone) I wanted to know who I was speaking and going to give secured information to. I wish Dr. Ton and Dr. Randall would open their own practice 🙏

The only reason i gave it one star is because the doctor is great! The staff is AWFUL. They never answer the phone, never call back, the only way to get in touch with them is to take off work and physically go there. Im surprised the drs sstay in business. Quit taking new patients and service the ones you have!

I did not have the issues with the office staff that many others did but I saw Ashok Patel once. He came in the office and asked me random questions and just sat and typed things on his computer. Rarely even looking at me. Some of this makes me emotional and he didnt seem to care at all, just tap tapped on his computer. I could have been with a machine. VERY disappointed. Never going back. Do NOT recommend at all.

An excellent outpatient Behavioral Healthcare Facility. Nihal Shah MD is a great psychiatrist! The entire staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous. The wait is minimal. They take most insurance. They truly care about you as a patient. They work with you on scheduling appointments. If you need an unplanned appointment, they will fit you. in. Overall, Im impressed!

The waits are very long there. I have had a lot of problems with Brian - a 20-somethingemployee who handles prescriptions and authorizations.Around the doctor, he acted professional but he has been very rude to me in the past and present.My doctor, Dr. Shah is fine. I have no complaints about him. Most of the girls at the desk are very nice too. You can tell they work under very stressful conditions. They have to hear all the complaints about overbooking.They do overbook. Its all about money.

Yes there office is busy. There is a shortage of reliable Psychiatrists and Therapists. Fortunately, there isnt at Florida Behavioral. Dr Shah has stood beside me in my darkest moments and I trust him with my mental health and Recovery. Yes I would like to only be seen at the St Pete office but in those days of instability I traveled more than the extra few miles I go to Largo to find stability. Dr Shah has assisted in my being part of life. Today I am available. What I have learned in communication with the office is when I remain organized and diligent in my health, a extra day or phone call isnt even a speed bump in my day.

Even though Dr. Agustines is a good psychiatrist, office staff that handles her calls is the worse. You cannot get a hold of anyone. When you do, they are usually filling in for someone. I am trying to change to a different psychiatrist because is more accessible (you can reach her directly) and all I have heard, if Im lucky enough to get a hold of someone, is we have to follow protocol. I was prescribed a medication that caused horrible side effects, while I am weaning out of another. Left a message for Dr. A to please advice and I am still waiting 3 wks later and I am running out of the other medication.What is the point in being a Behavioral Medicine office and not be treated with the outmost respect in regards to your needs? Gladly my mental health issue is not on the brink, but just think of someone who might be?Completely not acceptable how this office staff works. And I after reading all the reviews, I am not the only one who feels this way.If I can say anything before you start going to any of the doctors here, go somewhere else!!!!!!!!

Excellent care by the Doctor we see. My only problem is trying to get through on the phone. It would be nice if you didnt have to press a bunch of buttons just to get someones voicemail. and then whoever it is not return your call!!

This place is a total joke! I cant get into everything that happened to me in their care, because I would need three pages. However, I will say, that they do overbook and rush patients in and out. It is also true, that it is nearly impossible to get a hold of someone in the office at any given time. These Drs are not interested in patients theyre interested in profits. I was sent to a so-called retreat (voluntarily), at Largo medical in Indian Rocks (their affiliated hospital), because I was very ill emotionally. Boy what a nightmare that turned out to be! The minute I opened my mouth in defense of my rights as a patient, I was discharged from the hospital without getting the treatment that I so desperately needed. (I was admitted and discharged within 15 hours). Then I got a letter in the mail stating that I could no longer seek treatment at their office! I would go as far as to say that Dr. Patel in particular should have his license revoked. I wonder who these Drs have to answer to. Is there anyone who monitors the way they conduct business? It seems to be getting harder and harder to find decent psychiatric care. It pays to do some research when trying to find a suitable physician. I had to learn that lesson the hard way.

The office staff has changed for the better. They must have been retrained because they have turned around. I had issues with payments today but I can stay on top of it till I get an answer. They get 3.5 stars.My husband’s doctor, Dr. Mayer is a gem. I recommend him highly. You couldn’t ask for a better man to handle the challenges of his patients. I wish we could visit him every day because I get a sense of security when he sees my husband. Dr. Mayer gets 5 stars.

They never answer the phone and they put you through to an answering machine and never call you back. It is very frustrating. The Largo office is the worse and I refuse to go to that office. I like the St. Pete office but you have to call Largo to get an appt

Called multiple times and left multiple messages which were never returned regarding a questionable bill i got. I finally decided to go through the appointments tab and got a human on the line - WOW! Then after telling her my problem and getting frustrated with her continuously saying i dont know and not trying to help me, she yells at me and then HANGS UP ON ME. They want to get paid by me but dont want to discuss my bill with me or call me back then they are not going to get paid. Lousy customer service and honestly the doctors are a total joke. Not sure how they still have licenses.

I had an appointment with Dr. H. Patel on the 29th of October and I went to fill my prescription at Walgreens it seemed he forgot to fill my scripts. I didn’t know it until the following day in which I promptly called and was told to leave a voicemail for the medical assistant.. that was Thursday. I called Friday as well before the weekend stressing my urgency that since this was a benzodiazepine that I’ve been taking for TEN YEARS and I’ve never once been without it for a day, I needed it filled. It’s now Tuesday. 4 days without my medications and I’m starting to have severe tremors and I am terrified I’ll have to go to the emergency room because apparently you can have deadly seizures when abruptly stopping these medications. So before I did that I made one last ditch effort (I called yesterday AGAIN and cried to the voicemail which is the only way you can get ahold of anyone) I stopped by the St. Petersburg office. I explain what’s going on to the receptionist and she tells me within 30 seconds that Dr H. Patel DID in fact fill my prescriptions but sent it to a pharmacy that I haven’t even used in 3 years. Could no one call me and tell me this?? I cried on their voicemails for 4 day’s and almost went to the hospital. I have amazing insurance, I go to EVERY one of my doctors appointments, I take my prescribed medications like I’m supposed to.. and this is how I’m treated? I understand you are understaffed as an office but this is serious. I’m so incredibly upset with the lack of care , the neglect and the actual “I don’t give a damn” attitude from the largo staff. I have never been treated like this by a doctors office. I could have had a severe seizure and no one gave a damn. I hope to god they see this and know that they need to get better before someone sues them for not taking medication requests more seriously. I will be looking for another doctor not because I have problems with Dr Patel, but because the largo staff received their medical assistant certificate from a corner lot meth dealer.

I made a situation difficult for myself, and Dr. Free and his assistant did their best to help me. I would recommend Dr. Free, hes been very helpful.

The staff is rude and unprofessional. The Dr.s are fantastic. But the staff and administrator are just horrible to work with. Any issues or complaints are not met with real help. In one ear and out of the other. It is so bad that it is faster for me to drive 30 minutes to make an appointment in person, rather then spend half the day trying to get someone on the phone to schedule my appointment. I hate to do it but I will be leaving a Dr. that I love because of the consistent inconvenience the staff provides to its patients.

Very busy office with a lot of doctors and patients. The facility needs more front office personnel and the front office needs to be relieved.Dr Meyer is a fabulous Psychiatrist who will take the time to answer your questions and will find the right meds for you.I highly recommend Dr Meyer as he will pin point your diagnosis and Psyche history very quickly. The meds will work but if one doesnt, he will be expedient in changing them to the one that works for you.

The only doctor I would recommend in this practice is Dr. Mayer. I have been his patient since 2007 and he is excellent. He actually will take the time to listen to you and not just hand you a script. I gave 2 stars because their staff are unfriendly and at times incompetent. Dr. Mayer has a separate waiting room than the other doctors. It is quiet and serene. Which is quite nice as the larger waiting room can be noisy and uncomfortable. You dont have to wait as long either.Update 7/17/15: Seems like the front desk staff have not improved in their attitudes. When phoning in I will be placed on hold for several minutes. Sometimes I have to hang up and call back because its taken so long. My insurance requires an authorization on a medication I am on. The pharmacy has faxed them a few times and no one has responded. I have been without my medication for a week. An authorization should take 2 days tops. It seems no one really cares.Update: 2/10/2017 I have now dropped my rating to one star out of sheer frustration with this practice. My insurance once again has requested an authorization for my medication. It has been a month. 1 MONTH and still they have not completed the authorization for my insurance company to pay for the medication. I have called multiple times, my pharmacy has sent over 4 requests and nothing. My doctors assistant is supposed to complete the authorizations and was not doing her job. I was told she was let go and they have someone new that knows what shes doing. Well its Friday and they did not process the authorization. I have health insurance that will cover the medicine. Why should I pay out of pocket because someone is dropping the ball? I wish they would just do their job and complete a simple authorization over the phone. I am truly disappointed with this practice. Dr. Mayer is a fantastic doctor, but the office staff is AWFUL. Please get it together or I will be finding a new practice.

I would like to give this professional office no stars but that was not an option. I had been going here since 2012 , first with Dr Burns who I liked very much, then Dr mundi, who was good also. I went today and was met with a receptionist that was irritated because I wanted a reason why they were wanting 4 times more than I have paid since 2012. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who incredibly was more nasty than the receptionist. They claimed I had a past due balance from October 2015, but I was never told until today, ( I pay every time I go in so there is no balance due ) . I literally had the supervisor tell me to go find a new doctor. This is a profession that is supposed to help people, not be the cause of problems! I would never recommended this business, because that is exactly what they consider the most important thing, money, not people.

Inadequate parking had patients using private property as parking lot. Quite expensive parking when you get towed.

The docs may be fine. Cant tell because you cant get anything other than Please hold when calling. On hold for 12 minutes before giving up. 14 attempts over 4 days with no luck. Obviously horribly understaffed and probably due to sweeping cuts in mental health reimbursement.

In terms of Psychiatrists, Dr. Ton is the best Ive found yet. Exceptional.

Steer clear of this facility. Difficult to near impossible to get through and leaving messages for meds and no one returns calls ever! I would rate zero if that were an option. Dont make the same mistake others have...run...dont walk!

I have been here once so far but I have dealt with them on the phone several times. My appointment was at 10 and did not get called until 11. So one of the first things I noticed was the overbooking. I wouldnt mind waiting but I have to take time from work to go there and that is a tad frustrating to be waiting for so long knowing work must be wondering where tf I am.It is very difficult to get ahold of them, you are on hold for 15 minutes at a time and when they answer they arent that nice. I understand they are busy but I am extremely polite and and patient with most and if you can still be rude and short with me then you are the problem. Without going into too much detail I get transferred around for reasons and when I explain to the person verbatim according to the last person i spoke with why I was transferred to them the girl acted like she had no idea what i meant and was impatient and acted like I was stupid. The first time I was transferred I had to leave a voicemail and was never called back.I like my doctor a lot but sometimes its not worth dealing with the staff and I am nervous this will be one of those times.Over all I have a lot of sympathy for people who work in high stress environments but I mean if you cant treat people who cause no trouble kindly and with dignity you should find another line of work.

I understand that all staff and doctors are very busy and work hard. My only complaint would be wait time and reaching someone on the phone or even receiving a call back.

Absolutely inadequate service. I have to physically go in to make an appointment after calling and leaving messages for 3 weeks. I asked for a copy of my records and was illegally denied. She stated cause they are psycologist they arent required to release copies of your records and that is a lie, only the notes by psycologist is protected from release, not the records and they are to be kept seperate from records. Stay away this place is incompetent.

Do NOT under any circumstance see these doctors. They will get you addicted to hard core meds that will require constant use and if there is a issue with the medicine and you have a side effect from it. You are dropped and left to suffer not only the issues that you had when first arriving but then the added bonus of withdrawals from the wonderful meds they push like a pill mill.

I do like going to this place and they take care of me very well. Thats why Im willing to overlook some of their shortcomings. But it is getting very hard to do this. First of all, I am rather young and I am very patient. I understand sometimes we all have bad days and so on. But never in my life have I talked to a more rude staff in my life. There are some who are very nice but the majority of them are the rudest people I have ever met. I was extremely shocked to be treated in such a way when I was being more than polite and accommodating. She answered the phone and immediately said can I put you on hold so I can finish what Im doing and i was a little shocked at the unprofessional ness so I asked her to repeat what she said and she said it in a malicious manor. The entire call was cringeworthy as she was so unbelievably rude to me and I was growing increasingly confused and began to apologize if I had made her upset in anyway. Another thing is they do not answer their phone????? Ive never experienced this before but I can call 5 times and check the number each time and I will not get anything. So this has become rather frustrating. All In all, I do like this place but the front desk is possibly the rudest people I have ever met. On the phone and in person. There is probably one nice woman there and shes the woman that recorded the voicemail box. So if you talk to her, your experience will be great. Anyone else- forget it. So if youre willing to overlook this, I would recommend this place.

This place is a disaster, you will wait on hold for 30 minutes and then they hang up on you. Its like a third world country dealing with these people.

Awful service by the front-of-the house, no accountability, unable to reach via telephone, does not complete requested steps required by insurance unless you follow-up three or four times. Dr. Shah is great, but getting past the horrendous management is beyond cumbersome. Another great example of govt regulation killing us.

Guess its time to call the Medical Board on this practice since theres been so many complaints about the office staff and nothing has been done about it. My husband has been out of medication for a week. Hes left 11 voicemails and his pharmacy has left voicemails for the past 6 days. Nobody is responding. No matter how good the doctors are, the front office deals with the scheduling and messages. Funny how much power a doctors office has over a patients health. Time to shake things up.

If it would be possible to leave no stars I would. The office number rings busy most of the time or you are put on hold for an unreasonable long time. The staff is rude, which is unfortunate as this is a mental health office where they are serving a very vulnerable population. I clocked my visit once and it was less than three minutes in duration after waiting in the lobby for 30 mins. Please consider going elsewhere.

I share some of the comments made by other people here. We have been trying for two days to have them answer. It just keeps ringing busy. If you are lucky enough to get through you cant talk to anyone. You have to leave a message and then no one calls you back. Very frustrating, especially for a mental health institute!!

The girls at the front desk treat you like an animal or a criminal. No humanity at all. I feel so bad for the people who need help and feel that they have no choise but to be humiliated by the staff here. Trust me, you have a choise, fine a better place.

First the office staff are short with their patients. Second, staff does not check messages left on the automated system. Third, they are terrible at responding to refill requests. My pharmacy has called several times to get my prescription refilled with no avail. Ive left several messages on the prescription refill automated system and still have not had my prescription(s) refilled. I left the office several years ago due to these same issues, but had to return due to insurance reasons. I see Dr. Malone who I really like, I may suck it up and see him at his St. Pete location. It is sad this facility is so unorganized and careless, they are dealing with people who have severe mental disorders. Although mine is not severe, it still is a shame they do not provide better mental help.

I would NOT recommend going to this facility. The women up front are EXTREMELY rude and none of them (including psychiatrists) really care about you or your well being. I would suggest to NEVER go to this doctors office.
