I am a mom of a 2 year old boy so I really enjoy going in and totally zoning out and having some quiet time. She is meticulous with her color. The time she spent washing and massaging my hair was pure Heaven. I never feel rushed and leave looking amazing. So professional and a great stylist.

One of the worst experiences of my life! I spent years growing my hair out and had been coloring it blonde for 4 years. I decided to switch hairdressers to get closer to home and 1 year later I am still paying for that mistake. My long hair was burned off by a stylist at Salon West. I called immediately and asked to speak to the owner and the customer service manager called instead. He told me he would look into it and call me back. He called me back to tell me the stylist didn’t do anything wrong! That is what upset me more than anything. I called back and again, asked for the owner. The owner asked the same gentleman to call me back and tell me they would refund me $90. I asked if I could come and show the damage done and he said the owners weren’t interested. I was concerned that the same stylist would do this to someone else. I was asking for nothing except to show them. They declined. It’s been almost a year and my hair is no longer than the photos above. The new hair growing in is healthy, but the burnt hair continues to break and frizz. My hair grows slowly and it has mostly ruined my self image. Not being apologized to or allowed to meet the owner in person was unconscionable! That is the problem! Zero accountability at the top!!!

Love this place. Nice atmosphere, clean, punctual. Tara is my hair dresser and she is awesome. Everyone seems to be at the top of their game and the company encourages continuing education so they keep on top of new styles and products.

This was my first time at Salon West. I immediately noticed the receptionist was very naturally friendly and engaging. She was always smiling and relaxed, and set a wonderful atmosphere around the front desk.I had a massage from Shanteria and she was fabulous! She listened carefully to what I wanted and checked a few times to ensure she was meeting my expectations. Shanteria was friendly, professional and very skilled at massaging. The atmosphere and music in her room was very relaxing and I felt like a new person when I left!!Shanteria and the receptionist certainly provided me with a wonderful first impression of Salon West Seminole! Before Christmas travels I went to get CND Shellac Nails and Jamie was wonderful! She did a great job with the manicure part and with the application of the shellac. I dont do shellac very often as it is pricey. But the next time I do need that particular service I will go back and ask for Jamie. I have had my nails shellacked several times since moving to Florida 18 months ago and was never happy with the results until Jamie. Thank you for taking such good care of me!

Went for a hair cut. Worst hair cut I’ve had in years. I wanted 1 inch off and a conditioning treatment. $70 later, and 3 inches of hair less, my hair is frizzier and a poofier than ever. I need to pay to have my hair fixed elsewhere. Thanks for shorter and frizzier hair 👍🏻

Addenda to my previous review:I returned to Salon West when it was time to remove the CND shellac.  I WAS SO PLEASED! Since moving to Saint Petersburg from Seattle a year-and-a-half ago I believe Ive done shellac 4 times when I was going on a trip so I wouldnt have to futz with my nails while I was gone. I love shellac but its just a bit too expensive for year round wear.  This was the only time, the only Salon, that has not wrecked my nails taking the shellac off. The last place literally used one of those little drum filers!Regarding a previous unhappy review about the prices I have two comments:1) Salon West has a prominently displayed, impressive, brochure listing all their prices.  I have one in my makeup drawer right now.2)  Most people ASK about pricing when making the appointment.  (Why would you not ask?) If not, upon arrival, if one does not see prices posted, common sense dictates one ASK, and check their budget, before agreeing (by sitting in the chair) to the service!  One does not request multiple procedures, ignorant of the pricing, then complain about the cost!I will return to Salon West in the future for nails... And hair, when I can figure out first what I want, and second when Im sure my budget is in line with my desires!Thank you for great service!

Completely thrilled with the color and cut from Lyndsey at Salon West Walsingham. I was so far past getting my hair colored that my gray roots were about 6 inches and I was ready to change color from red to brunette.She did such a phenomenal job! The color came out rich, brilliant and shiny! It looks better than my natural color ever did and my hair felt silky an smooth.Can’t thank Lyndsey enough for being so sweet and doing such a fantastic job! She was a true professional and exhibits great talent! Thank you, thank you, thank you Lyndsey. I love my new look!

My first visit was wonderful 💕 SamShaw was absolutely a doll. She spent alot of time talking to me about how I wanted my hair cut and consulted me on color ideas for my next visit. My hair cut looks fabulous...its exactly what I wanted. I booked my next appointment for color in two weeks. This salon was exactly what I was looking for!

I got a fabulous anti aging facial and eye brow waxing. I just moved here from Manhattan and it was like the most luxurious treatments id have in Manhattan for half the price!! Thank you - Ill be back!!

There are no prices on the website or in the store for viewing. Everyone was friendly and did their job. Not once was the the expense discussed..I had highlights and a hair cut..the highlight were partial not full..though full was discussed, only on the top and I requested more than one shade ..she offered a conditioning treatment I said yes..She said she wanted to blow dry my hair so she could do more cutting after. Idk since when a blow dry is extra? I did purchase your eyebrow growth and a trial vitamin spray..left a tip. By the end this was 350 dollars.!! This is a insane price and I cant believe I...I had waited to do my hair for so long do to the pandemic .unfortunately I will not be back..I really feel taken..my hair cut needed to be adjusted it did not blend properly ..a manager did reach out..and basically the stylists rates r independent..he corrected the color and cut..and product..very happy with the 2nd stylists and she gave me her rates which r reasonable..still feel taken for a good 100 dollars on the first stylist but I will go back to the 2nd one!

I would recommend Alexa to anyone that wants the best hair service and the best products on their blonde hair. I love her blending techniques and she is the only one that can lighten my hair up to the ashy level where I want it.

So glad that the Salon is back open post pandemic shutdowns. They are being very careful about everything, cleaning between guests, it’s not as busy inside, wearing masks, checking temperatures of guests as they arrive. They aren’t blow drying hair right now (understandable) but hopefully this will return in the near future. It was just so nice to have my color freshened up and a fresh cut. I’ve been coming to Salon West for years and so has my family. I’ve always had great work done by the stylist and a great experience. I had an appointment scheduled and had to cancel due to not feeling well. I woke up with scratchy throat, migraine and aches. During these unprecedented times, you can never be careful enough so I called and cancelled my appointment. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. An hour or so later, I get a call letting me know that I didn’t make my appointment and that they would charge my card on file 50% of my hair appointment! Who has authority to do that? I am beyond disappointed that an institution would have rather me keep my symptoms to myself, infect their staff members just so I can make my appointment. Their excuse was that I should have given them a 24 hour notice. I’m sorry but I didn’t know I would be sick 24 hours ago. Make sure you do not leave a card on file, my mistake. I will never ever go here again.

Just had my first visit to this salon yesterday. Marina was recommended to me by my cousin Danielle. The experience far exceeded my expectations! Salon is beautiful and geared towards customer comfort. MARINA is amazing. Her attention to detail and her gift of being able to get into the clients vision is nothing short of perfect! Also, doesnt hurt that she is about as sweet as they come. Entire staff was awesome! AMAZING experience.

UPDATE 1 OCTOBER 2020:Ive been here several times since my first visit and I keep coming back. I chose a lower level stylist because I am a guy and just need basic cuts. The person I get my haircut with is still much better than any barbershop Ive been to. I highly recommend coming here and I keep asking for the same level 1 stylistCOVID:It is my understanding that this salon management will not open up to 100% (even though they legally can if they want) and choses to remain at 50% I do not understand this from a business standpoint, because the girls who work here are not working full time because of this business decision. Who wants less money? No one. People are struggling.------Might I recommend having one or 2 days a week where maybe you remain at 50% (for the comfort of certain customers/workers) and the other 5 days be open full? This way the workers there dont have to suffer (be penalized) from part time pay and customers can have more opportunity to schedule. That is a smart and balanced approach that works for everyone. We all have bills to pay and can do it with blending safety with business sense.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PREVIOUS POST:First time visit on 25 March 2019 after lunch. The rest of the family has been coming here for quite a while so they convinced me to come here to give it a try.So for a couple years Ive been going to a barber shop down Ulmerton. The turn over and lack of attention to detail at the barber shop prompted me to come here. While the price is about $11 more here, they actually take their time and are way more professional here. I actually left here looking more professional because my hair was even. Something I havent seen before!Will come back. The price for mens cut was $25 and well worth it. They took a good 45 minutes and did not rush it nor skimp on services like the barbershop shop did all the time.

Salon West has done everything in their power to make clients feel comfortable during their reopen process. Cleanliness has always been a priority of theirs even before the COVID-19 outbreak. The staff has really stepped it up to make sure that clients feel safe while still being able to relax & enjoy themselves.

I had a completely new hairstyle done. Cut off 6 inches of my hair. The cut is so uneven! Every time I shampoo, I have to trim uneven pieces. $48.00? Never again.

Once again, I am truly thrilled with the perfect color that Marina gave me this week! I see Marina every month for a color which she always does beautifully, and her haircuts and styles are by far the best I have ever had with my thick, curly hair. She gives THE best shampoos and scalp massages as well - I feel so relaxed and pampered every time I come in! The salon is upscale, stylish, and very clean with great customer service. I highly recommend Salon West and Marina!

I can not say enough positive things about Salon West. From the minute you walk in the door, to the moment you leave, their ENTIRE staff treats you like gold. I have had several services from Salon West Walsingham. I have a regular Stylist who I have used for 4+ years. She is great! I have used a couple of other Stylists and they all have been just as good. The Salon uses great quality products such as Redken and L’Oreal as well. They are very customer oriented and friendly. They have all aspects of high quality Salon and Spa Services. I would highly recommend this Salon for all of your personal care needs.

I had a wonderful experience at Salon West. I recently moved to the area and was worried about finding someone to keep my previous color going. Alexa found the perfect color match to cover my grey roots. She also showed a way to style my naturally curly hair that gave me amazingly bouncy, soft, defined curls. The technique she taught me is an absolute game changer!

I have been to Salon West a couple times in the past, but not for a few years. The last time I was there my hair broke all over after highlighting. I found another salon and have been going there for 3 years, but became frustrated with the cost going up and up with no explanation, so decided to give Salon West another try. WOW -- have they stepped UP their game!!! I didnt dislike it before, but I can honestly say I had the best experience there I have had in a very long time anywhere. They took time to talk to me and really understand what I wanted. Next I was given a PRICE QUOTE for the service!! I needed some color so we went to look at different swatches to pick one out. All this before any work was done. The results were just what I wanted as a result of good planning and communications. The complimentary arm massage and scalp massage were so relaxing. I felt truly taken care of and I cant wait for my next appointment.

As soon as I checked in there was an unwelcoming face to greet me. Her name was Carly. I was scheduled with Sam and requested her. Somehow this unwelcoming girl Carly rolled her eyes and said she will be doing my hair. Just based off my first impression from her greeting walking in I knew there was no way I was letting her touch my hair. She turned me off right a way. I requested Sam because I saw online she is highly educated in the inverted cut and texturizing. When Carly took me to her chair I was panicking inside because I didn’t not want her touching my hair and knew this was not the girl I requested. I went along and tried to tell her how I wanted my hair cut. She was basically clueless and asking me to tell her how to cut it. She gave me an attitude while I’m trying to express how I want it cut and I think she gave an attitude because she knew that she had no clue. After seeing how clueless she was on top of my first impression I said to her I requested someone else. Turns out they messed up my appointment and Sam was not available so I cancelled. Carly seemed relieved to not have to cut my hair. I think because she did not have knowledge. She all of a sudden was happy and cheery. Her customer service was awful. What a terrible experience. Salon west has gone down hill. For the prices I expect genuine customer service and great work. I do not recommend this location and certainly not Carly.

Went to the website to read reviews and to also look at pictures of customers hair before and after specifically high lights....and I am totally disappointed !!!!Check out the website and pictures all I see 👀 is some older blonde hair woman sitting in a sports car ........how is this suppose to get anyone in the door?!... Try being more creative with the picture choices .. most consumers want to see before and after pics of hair color/high lights/haircuts...not some women sitting in a car.... looks cheep..

Ive had mixed experiences here but Tara is great! She always takes the time to listen to my ideas and provide suggestions for what would work best with my hair. I recently had the best service (10/17/17) with her when she did my highlights. Her scalp and hand massages are to die for! My cut looks fantastic and highlights were exactly what I wanted. Daniel, at reception, was also great and is wonderful at multitasking.

Professional, friendly, a delight!

Been going to Salon West for about 10 years now. Wouldnt go anywhere else. All the hairdressers are very good at their jobs & they all do continuing education classes. The ladies that do your nails and facials are also very good at what they do. They take very good care of their customers. In a nice and clean salon with a lot of talent behind their doors.

They did an absolutely horrible job. Damaged my hair to the point that other salons are scared to go near it. They over processed my hair and now it’s all completely dead and falling out. When I confronted them they said it was like that before. No accountability that they actually messed up. However they were more than “reasonable” to offer me to come back and offer me a gesture of 10% off another service after I already spent $400 to begin with.

My daughter had her eyebrows waxed & tinted and was very happy with Mollie.She will ask for Mollie specifically in the future! (:One star off for being a lil pricey.She will definitely go back.Would be nice if Salon West offered some type of loyalty reward.

I had a great experience with color by Dee. I rescheduled but had to cancel, 9 days in advance due to work obligations. I tried to reschedule twice, once on the phone and once in personBoth times the girls at the front desk did nothing to try to reschedule me. I asked for so many other days and times, they pretty much dismissed me and said nothing was available with Dee. The week previously I treated my daughter in law to a keritan treatment. $130.00 . It was with Lisa. Dont go to her! After the treatment my daughter in law asked why her hair was so dull with no shine and add o rough. Lisa mumbled something and disappeared. 2 days later her hair was frizzy and looked the same as it did before the treatment. Shame on this salon. Dont let the discounts and perks they give you to come back fool you. I just moved here from Michigan. They got me. Shame on this place.

Great salon, wonderful staff, healthy products. I was a client at the Salon West Walsingham location for several years. I even continued for the first few years when I moved to Sarasota but the drive became too much...the ONLY reason for leaving. I cant say enough good things about my stylist, CLAYTON! He is not only great at what he does but hes a dream to work with. He listens! Hes patient and discusses what you want. He always gave me great feedback on the health of my hair without feeling like he was pushing products. A very holistic POV on your hair. I highly recommend him! The location and traffic is a bit of a trek if you dont live in that area but worth it if you have the time.

Salon West Walsingham location is great. Tina has done my hair and is very thorough. She listens to your wants and delivers. This salon is very professional, the staff is well trained and you definitely get your moneys worth. I also worked at the Clearwater location and this was a great place to work and get services. This is a professional salon and they are a success because of that. Highly recommend this salon if you want a professional, well trained staff and a relaxing experience.

Marina gave me a haircut and color this week and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! I have gotten more complements on my hair than ever before, and I cant thank her enough...she listened carefully to my requests, was incredibly kind and gave fantastic customer service! Salon West Largo is an oasis of creative beauty and relaxation in a desert of day to day living. Every time I get my hair cut by Nicole, I marvel at how perfect it is. I have never found a place where I can relax and trust that the stylists there will give me the perfect cut for my lifestyle. They are highly trained, utterly professional, and the salon is a state of the art facility with the latest in hair products and stylists trained in the trendiest looks. I will always get my hair done at Salon West Largo.

So, I am one of those people who gets my hair cut at most once a year. And once I decide I want it, I want it now or Ill chicken out. (Pain in the butt client, I know.) I called the Walsingham location and unfortunately they were all booked for the day but theyd call when and if a cancellation happened. No more than 10 minutes later, I was called and was in for an appointment at 1:45. The girl at check in was fantastic and my wait was only a few minutes before I was called back. My stylist was Lauren D, and let me tell you. I have never had a more meticulous stylist ever. I have long, very thick, wavy and unruly hair. I walked out with goddess hair and a hug. I seriously will continue to come in just for a hair wash and blow out. She was PERFECTION. Sorry for the rambling, but this was the best experience Ive ever had. Lauren deserves ALL the praise.

I love getting my hair done here. Before Christmas, I do a You Pick 3 for $99. Shellac Manicure, Salon Pedicure & another service all on one day.

I absolutely love this place, and recommend it to everyone. I’m very picky when it comes to my hair, so I drive over an hour just to see Tara my hair stylist, and let me tell you it’s worth it. I have complete trust in her abilities and she goes above and beyond ever time. I’ve gotten countless compliments on my hair, and people always ask me where I get my hair done.

If you are making an appointment with her I suggest doing it in advance because she is very popular! How can I describe how much I look forward to my hair appointments at Salon West! My stylist, Chelsea, is so knowledgeable and talented. Im terrible at describing what I want my hair to look like, but she totally gets it and I am always super happy with the results! I spend several months at a time in Largo, FL and needed to find a salon. Im so grateful I found Salon West! They do a great job on my hair! The staff is super friendly and talented and the salon itself is clean and comfortable. They have three locations (soon to be four) so I have a choice of location.

Monica is a fantastic color expert and fixed a botched foil done at ULTA. Got in the same day and she spent four hours with me!!! I left feeling gorgeous. Maria, the owner, is amazing. We spoke extensively about pain Ive been experiencing and she immediately gave me a referral and the name of an herbal remedy that worked wonders for her. Highly recommend!

There was a slight snafu with the scheduling of my cut and color, but everyone acted so professionally. While a different person did my color I was able to be worked into my regular persons schedule later on to get my cut. Everyone really came together to make this happen for me and you will never know what it meant to me. Thanks again for all that you did. I love this place!

Ive only been in the state for about a year. My neighbor gave me a $ off coupon, and because I LOVE her style, I asked for her stylist - Heather. Ive been so completely happy with her. Indeed a very nice customer service. Ive never have a salon give me a free hand massage and wine while I was getting my hair colored and cut. Which was pretty pricey.The only thing is when I got my hair cut it was poor due to the stylist not knowing the cut. Thats understandable. And I couldnt really explain the hair cut well.so I complained and the salon, which they offered to recut it for free. Thats great. But the day before my second appointment, the manager called me saying the new stylist I was scheduled for was inexperienced and he would rather put me with the women who cut my hair the first time. And making me feel uncomfortable by saying that I was the reason she didnt cut my hair right and that I seemed very happy when I left and she is a good stylist and nobody complains about her.I agreed to have my stylist changed back to the original stylist. But when I went in and explained to the stylist what I wanted in more detail she ended up getting one of her co workers to do it and explain to her what I wanted.I felt very uncomfortable about this.But I ended up getting the cut I wanted after two trips.If I do go back, I will never ask for that stylist.

Highly professional, awesome stylists and spa area, great customer service! Ive been coming here for over 4 years and any time Ive had a tiny issue, its been taken care of properly. They use real Shellac for their manicures which I was very pleased to find out. I always recommend this salon to my family and friends!

Ive been going to Salon West for a few years now, but I am going to be looking for another establishment from now on. My last two visits Ive been quoted for a price, and on the last one I was charged 100$ over what she told me it would cost, and I found out at checkout where I asked and my comment was brushed away. The only reason I got a keratin treatment was because my stylist said it was the best thing for my hair. Its never been frizzier or more messed up, even though I followed all of the procedures for the treatment. Im super upset. I used to really love this place.

(Accidentally wrote this under the Largo location reviews, whoops!)I have been going to this salon for a number of years now. I have had one stylist the entire time- Tina! I am even having my hair done while I am on vacation here since I had moved up north, because I dont trust anyone else with my hair! She is absolutely wonderful and can do exactly what I describe to her and even more to make it look better than I imagined. The atmosphere of the salon is bright and cheery, and you can tell everyone loves what they do. I highly suggest going here, and especially to Tina!

The spa is great. Ive had a facial and a massage, as well as a mani and a pedi done a few times. I wouldnt go any place else to get my hair and spa treatments done.

I tried Salon West the first time after 2 other salons Im familiar with failed to answer any calls. Im glad I came here. From the moment I called, I felt important to them. Ive worked in customer service for 15 years and I truly hope that people feel that I treat people the way I was treated here. Danielle was awesome and *listened* .. she gave great advice and my hair still feels great 3 weeks later. I have TONS of hair and its usually really poofy this time of year if I dont fry the heck out of it. Not necessary with the products she suggested and cut she gave. After this level of service and care, along with how presentable the place is, I thought my bill was going to be really high--it was so comparable to other salons, I think my mouth fell open haha. Looking forward to going back next month. :)

Best hair cut in town, been coming here for about 9 years now. I really love the experience and atmosphere, and the service is very professional and welcoming. 10/10 would haircut again.

The girls here are always personable and friendly. I dont feel like Im being judged when I walk in. Excellent prices, well worth it.

I am a long time client bc I love Samantha McGinnis at the Seminole location. I followed her there and enjoy the salon very much and love the products too. Samantha just gets me like no one ever has. She nails it every single time and has since the beginning. She doesnt small talk me to death. I totally enjoy my time with her. Im addicted and cannot stray.Naturally I have straight, fine, ash colored hair. I want to be a natural blonde with no visibility of my thin and bald spots (both surgery and stress related) and I want zero maintenance. I get high lights, low lights and whatever else she says bc sometimes my hair has damage or frizzies. I appreciate her more than I can articulate but I sure wish I could find the words. Salon West is the only salon with personalized customer consultation prior to an amazing head massage during the shampoo, in a relaxed atmosphere, with your own professional stylist there to answer your questions and make your hair beautiful just the way you are meant to have! I cant imagine going anywhere else!

Really like this place better than the other Salon West stores I have visited. Most of the others are Redkin salons but this one is purely Aveda. I really loved the products plus I received an excellent cut from Daniel.
