Took my twin boys there to get neutered. They took good care of my boys. They are very reasonably priced. It did take a while to get them an appointment

I have adopted two beautiful kittens (different litters) from here, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Staff is very kind and incredibly helpful. Up until I decided to adopt, they put up with me visiting and hanging out with the kitties on the regular! It’s clear everyone there loves animals and wants to get them to good homes. They also go to great measures to ensure animals that come to them receive the love and care they need before finding their forever homes.Their adoption coordinator, Steve, is a great resource and all-around good guy. The younger of my kitties, Lonnie, had some kind of allergic reaction (unrelated to Pet Pantry; this happened a couple months after adoption, but it’s a good anecdote anyway!), and I reached out to Steve, panicking because I had never dealt with something like this before. He told me to send a couple photos of the reaction, gave his opinions on what it could be, and said it was definitely best to call a vet, which of course I did. I vividly remember asking “do I need to take him to an animal hospital??” thinking the worst, and he reassured me it wasn’t life or death (phew). That helped put my mind at ease and I cannot thank him enough! Lonnie is a-okay!Also, their Facebook page is great. They post often and give little bios of available cats and kittens. We had our cat spayed here. From the online reservation to the actual process of taking her in for surgery, everything was clear and straightforward. Communication was excellent.They seemed to really care for our cat, which obviously is key. They were also friendly and helpful to me, taking care to explain the post-op instructions clearly.And finally, the cost was the excellent. We probably could not have afford d to have her spayed at the price our vet asked, yet knew it was important to do so. What a relief to find a low cost (yet excellent) option.Thank you PetPantry.

Pet Pantry was excellent with my puppy yesterday for his neuter surgery. The surgery went well and it appears he will heal up nicely. This morning, the day after, he seems to be his old self! Other than being a little sore in the surgical area, he is doing very well. Also, their rates are affordable and the care isnt any less than what you would get elsewhere. As soon as we see our way clear, they will be getting a donation from us!

Great price for a neuter given the area, and scheduling was very easy online. My biggest issue was communication, which I consider a critical aspect when dealing with customers and their pets. I had called multiple times (probably 6 or 7) over the course of the week trying to get information prior to and after my kittens neuter, but no one picked up any of the calls despite two people being at the desk when I arrived to the facility ten minutes after my last call to check on my kitten in person. They did not appear to be very busy since both appeared to be on their cell phones when I arrived, so I am unsure why there is a huge problem trying to contact via phone. I also did not receive a call like they indicated they would do once he was awake and ready to go home. My kitten was ready to go home when I finally arrived to check on him. This is unprofessional and a very bad look for a facility performing surgeries on peoples pets when nobody answers the phone and when you do not follow through with promised communication. The communication issue significantly hurt my trust in quality of care, was very frustrating, and made me worry a lot about the well-being of my kitten. While it was a cheap price for the Lancaster area, I wont return because of the horrible communication.

Beneficial TNR program to the surrounding community of feral cat colonies. Good ally for Lancaster county cats - both indoor and outdoor. Excellent rates & service by vets & techs to get your dogs/cats spayed/neutered. Recommended.

Pet Pantry is great. All the folks there are nice people and they love animals. They have a cat area where you can adopt one. Im getting my kitty on Monday. So, so excited.

They are great to get your pet fixed. But horrible when you ask them for an application for the food pantry for the pets.

I have never actually used their services so I cannot speak for that, because I have heard good only things. However, I had gone in twice to talk to inquire about a surgery for my dog and both times the same receptionist was working and was just not very pleasant with me at all.

Services here at Pet Pantry are SO appreciated by fur parents! Their spay and neuter program is a great boon for cash-strapped pet owners -- nearly 1/3 the cost for the same surgery at a veterinarian practice. Pet Pantry vets and wonderful staff are caring and helpful when choosing to adopt a kitty. Donations are gratefully received, from money, pet food, pet toys and equipment, or volunteer time.

So happy with how caring they were with our very nervous dog. We took her there for microchip and spaying. Easy to schedule online and they are wonderful people there. Thank you for all you do there are affordable, quality care!

Got two kittens from there during early covid . pricey but they will give you some food and play toys . plus they will be fixed and vaccinated . check their web site see if these two look familiar .

Do not take your pet here! I took my healthy kitten to be spayed and when I picked her up she had died in her carrier and the staff had no idea. After contacting our family vet and showing them the surgical report we were informed her death was caused by neglect. The reaction my pet had was reversible. Please dont let this happen to another animal.

Always have had a positive experience with Lancaster Pet Pantry. They are a great organization to support and look in to their services. They provide low cost spay and neuter services as well as providing a great low income food drive for those who have difficulty caring for pets. There are waiting lists and what not, but very much worth it.

I travel 1hr to get here. Thats how good they are and theyve been to our cat. They where recommended by our cats foster Mom and we stayed with them. Dr Brian always takes good care of our cat.

This place has a wonderful staff who care for the animals and help you feel safe and comfortable with your choice. They make it super easy to get all you need setup. Theyre definitely there for the benefit of all involved.

I went there for the clinic. So much cheaper getting shots theyre than at the regular vet.I didnt wait at all. They took me and my pups straight away. We had a brief conversation about what shoes they would need. They have them their vaccines, distracting them with a veritable ton of treats.Overall a great experience. Cheap, quick, friendly, easy. Definitely headed back.

This place is no kill, and they really care about the animals. They actually check applicants (references, history with animals, lease restrictions) to make sure the pets go to a good home and will be taken care of. They are the voices for those who cannot speak. I love this about them.

I am so thank full for pet pantry. They were the only ones willing to help me with a stray cat that came up on my porch looking for help. He had a injury to his front left leg. Humane League of lancaster county pretty much just pushed me right back out the door. All I was asking for was some help for him and I would bring him back home when he was able. Thank god for Pet Pantry, they are so nice. I will continue to donate to them as much as I can.

When I was living in my own home, 3-4 years ago, I rented the upstairs Studio, to a young Mom, with a two year old son. When she moved out, she had two young kittens. She left them there. I didnt know what to do!!! After calling a number of places, someone recommended The Pet Pantry!!! They were wonderful!! They are a no-kill organziation!!!! Kind, understanding, patient. Just wonderful!!!

We adopted our cat, Sunny (who we now call Pip) from the pantry.During the time we looked for our new family member, and the adoption process, each of the volunteers and staff members we met were great. In the 2 1/2 weeks shes been with us weve had help from the pantry twice.Last night we had to take her in to have her ears checked and the vet was amazing. She was so gentle.You can tell the people at the Pet Pantry care about each of the animals and wants to see them placed in a good fur-ever home.

Have called an left message so many times and no one calls back. They need to have someone as a assistance taken peoples calls I have been trying to get my cat fixed for months now an I still have yet to hear from anyone.

I am giving this organization one star because it is impossible to give them one eighth of a star. These people are always begging for money. They would have you beleive they care about anumals. Do not fall for this con game. I have a sick cat, I called and asked could he please be seen because he needs an antibiotic. They told me they wont help. Yet these clowns are fine with giving dogs xanax. Yes you read that right. They give out anxiety meds like freaking candy. I know because my beat friend gets her dog xanax every month! But in these awful times, I have a cat screaming in pain and I call them in tears asking for help, I get No. I am telling you, keep your money.

When you call to ask a question regarding an animal they never seem to answer their phone. Its probably a volunteer system but I would think someone shoukd be at the front desk.

Been trying to contact this place continuously over the course of a month trying to get my cats fixed to no avail. Why even encourage people to call and schedule an appointment if no one picks up the phone. Clearly theyre understaffed. Places like this are why people abandon their animals and why therrs a stray cat problem.

Absolutely amazing when I had nowhere to turn when my cat broke her leg they helped me with no problem. My cats incision was clean and healed wonderfully. I will be going to the pet pantry for any emergency thank you so much for helping. For having students learning to help pets you guys did great we should have more places like you that are here for the sake of helping and not profit.

Steve went above and beyond to help me get the perfect cat at Pet Pantry. He answered all my questions, and was helpful in selecting just the right cat for me. I also came away with a cat bed, cat toys, and food. And, because it was Christmas, Steve even let me pick a little dress for my new kitty. Thank you, Steve, for such a fabulous experience!

Great place to get low cost food for your fur babies. Its all the good food and treats. They also have a back room where you can find just about you need for your babies. We even found bed stairs for $15.00. We dont buy our animal food or treats anywhere else. I dont know anything about the vet side as I have nevered used it. I go to a different vet. Great place for people that love deals even one animal food. Love this place.

We got our dog here, and we had our rescue kitty spayed here. They are great, take wonderful care of the furbabies and at a reasonable price. I wouldnt go anywhere else. They also follow up with a phone call to make sure everything is healed up and good a few days later. I wouldnt take an animal anywhere else. They are wonderful.

Pet Pantry was an amazing place to visit. The staff was extremely helpful, and going above and beyond to ensure you picked the right pet. We couldn’t be happier with our little kitten. She was named Ms. Howell by Pet Pantry, but we changed her name to Luna. She came home healthy and happy. Got my dog spayed at one third of the cost that a average veterinarian charges! My own personal veterinarian wanted $585. The staff was great, I was well informed. My dog Bella did great , no complications at all. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking to get their pet spayed or neutered. Anyone wishing to donate money, pet food or other pet items this is the perfect place to do it!!!

Incredible place to adopt a pet. The staff and volunteers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and they seem like they are truly passionate about their work. The apotion fees are very affordable and they do everything they can to help you out. They also have a shop in the front that I will definitely be returning to because I would like to support this place.

They do great work here at the Pet Pantry. A no-kill shelter, which was very important for me and my girlfriend. We had to surrender her two cats because shes moving. We checked back in a week and the cats were already adopted, so we know that animals go in and out fairly quickly. The facility, the animals live in a condition much better than a shelter, is clean and the staff really care about animals.

The employees here are great and caring. We were given lots of knowledge from the staff about raising our new kitten. Lots of great inexpensive things in their store for purchase. Our family just had a really wonderful experience adopting our new kitten from here

Such a great place to go for pet adaption. We suffered a loss last year of our beloved cat. Our first and only stop was Pet Pantry. Such a nice staff to work with. We go back on a regular basis for pet supplies and always to look at the cats.

Great place! We have so many cats living around us outside, that keep having kittens. They end up living in our garage pet pantry is great we get them all fixed there, so we do keep having litter after litters. Great price, Thank You Pet Pantry for all you do, you guys are awesome. ❤️🤗😁

We took our male rabbit to get fixed. They were pleasant and just showed our little bunny lots of love. The surgery went fine and he’s recovered nicely.

Their prices are great as far as spay and neutering. The reason I give 2 stars is because it can be very hard to get ahold of these people. I’ve left messages and no one has ever returned my call. I feel that it’s very unprofessional. I had to cancel my appointment. How can I entrust my pet to people who I can’t even properly communicate with?

There is no reason why for some things. Just by hearing, seeing, witnessing, knowing what an organization does is enough to love it. When you personally experience forth coming love, unless you are a mean spirited person, you cant help but love.

Pet Pantry is a great service local to those who live in Lancaster County. They are an awesome nonprofit that do cheap spay and neuter, and provide many different services! The people are kind and get you in and out which is convenient. I reccomend there services to everyone.

I recently took my dog Munky to be neutered and update his vaccines. They trimmed his nails for free! Fantastic prices for wonderful services.These people are AWESOME! So nice, friendly and professional that you feel safe leaving your pet in their care. All post care instructions are clear and explained very well. Munky healed up perfectly. I have two experiences with Pet Pantry. Dr. Langlois spayed a cat I had recently received for a third of the price quoted by the animal hospital, and my cat was given a physical exam/ear cleaning/nail trimming as well. I was so impressed by the dedication of the staff! When it was time to adopt our second cat, I knew where to turn. The adoption process was prompt and pleasant. Steve, the staff who facilitated our adoption, was very friendly and thorough. I love organizations who demonstrate a serious passion for their mission! Highly recommend.

Pet Pantry, the Rescue and the Thrift Shop, is AMAZING! We adopted a kitten that was neutered, vaccinated, and pre-treated for fleas, etc., and his first vet exam will be FREE when we take him to one of the vets that participate with their rescue. We also got loads of nearly new equipment (litter box, litter, carrier box, toys, food) for a great price. Shop HERE first for pet items! The staff and volunteers are very helpful, and really seem to love the Rescue pets in their care.

Absolutely love coming here. I get a ton of stuff every time for my two cats and service dog. They are always extremely helpful. I love the fact that everything in their store is discounted, donated, and what you buy goes to the animals they help.
