Worst ER ever. Everyone from Security up to the ER Docs are extremely rude. When someone comes in w a emergency...you would think there would be a little more care and compassion. Not here. You sit and wait for your name to be called, which is cool. However I dont need to hear nurses...ER techs..etc personal life and gossip. The whole place is in shambles. We are still in a pandemic. People leave bloody cotton balls...empty food/beverages...and in the 9 times Ive visited in the past year, Ive never seenA wheelchair wiped down. Disgusted. Consider yourself reported to the Medical Board.

A long time of waiting, they took X-rays of my son and they told me that everything was fine, I went to another hospital and they found that there was a fracture, 👎👎👎

In 1995 I was given the best care when giving birth to my son Drew. The delivering doctor who was assigned to me was kind, courteous and helpful, and expert in how he delivered my son. It was a natural birth with the help of a shot in my spine to numb it. It was my best birth experience. :-)

Just like others here I would give this hospital 0 stars if I could. I went in August of this year after a bad fall on my wrist. I was in a lot of pain, as it was broken and bent. I was told I had 2 people ahead of me. I was triaged and the nurse told the other nurse my wrist was bruised. After waiting a very long time, while they took in many people ahead of me (including a man who arrived after me, who was laughing and singing in the waiting room, and had a bladder infection), I left to go to Palmdale Regional Hospital (fantastic, efficient treatment). AV Hospital billed Blue Cross $2,591 for services including tests that were ordered when I NEVER SAW A DOCTOR. They billed me an additional $100 copay (which I will never pay out of principle). I will never vote for ANY bonds for this hospital. This was not my only horrendous experience with this hospital. It was just the most recent.

The last time there, ER, had an allergic reaction. All swollen and having problems to breathe had to wait for 3 hours before been able to see an NP who was very professional and as great as an MD. Receptionist was horrible with the sensitivity of a scorpion. The nurses at the signal verification area were screaming calling patients what turned the scene into a street market. And the last bad experience was the blood on the room where they finally placed me in order to give me treatment. This awesome 4star review goes to that NP Camarillo, F who gave me the right treatment even though the wait was too long. Thanks to people like NP Camarillo I can recommend this ER Service.

Do not go to this hospital its horrible, comma I waited 4 hours and 3 and a 1/2 hours with the needle in my arm. Finally got fed up and left had a big argument with staff. And to top it off they dont even take the proper procedures of wiping things down

Well, I would definitely never go to that hospital if god let’s me !! I’ve seen and heard horrible reviews and stories about this hospital for years. and just recently heard about a woman who was recently diagnosed with cancer ,they wouldn’t help and refused to do further test on her or let her stay there because she didn’t have a medical insurance or social number! They called the family to come and take home and she sadly passed away at 41 yrs old and it was on the news . it just shows you that in this country or in this hospital if you don’t have health insurance Doctors won’t help you !!! I guess they care more about money and help patients .

Would give 0 stars if I could. Staff wouldnt take my condition seriously, argued with me about what insurance I had even though I showed them my card multiple times. Didnt even let me stay until my pain was managed. Put down in my chart that I had an unknown cause for my headache when I have a serious neurological condition. Didnt get a bed the entire time I was there and left with a worse headache than what I came with. Drive to Henry mayo. Dont bother going to this joke of a hospital.

Please don’t ever go here. I am being admitted to a different hospital for appendicitis. I went there yesterday and was there for 6 hours. They don’t care for you there… don’t waste your time. The problem that I see is a lot of being unorganized and a lot of jaded individuals working there. You are just another body you aren’t a person to them. I tried on two occasions to be personable with the staff and nothing. And when I tried telling them that my pain was moving the response was “you’ll have to wait for CT, we don’t have a bed for you” it’s just really disheartening. And AV hospital please do not respond to this review, you know how your hospital operates.

Thee WORST hospital! I would give it zero stars if I could. I’ve been waiting for about 2 hours going on to 3! I have lower back pain and haven’t spoken to anyone or seen anyone. The nurses are so unprofessional. They have a waiting room full of patients but rather chat about their personal lives behind the curtains and giggle about jokes…uh HELLO you have a whole room of people who are sick and/or in pain. This hospital should be closed down or investigated. From the previous reviews I’ve read I’m not the only one who has had issues with this “hospital”. If you ask why they’re taking so long their answer is always “we’re waiting for beds”. WELL YOU WOULD HAVE BEDS AVAILABLE IF YOU WOULD CHECK PATIENTS AND HELP THEM IN THE QUICKNESS rather than keep people waiting. A disgrace of a hospital.

The ICU unit saved my cousin Barbara for the third time this time! She had Covid in her lungs.The nurses were so happy when she woke up, they all clapped they knew her from the two previous times. Barb had ARDS. Anyone who bad mouths has some kind of medical issue elsewhere.If you would like it go to school and become a MD or nurse yourself. I am Thankful for these wonderful, wonderful people here Thank God for saving Barbara again 🙏

I cannot believe the number of negative comments that are critical of AVHMC. If a restaurant was to receive so many poor reviews, do you suppose that people would avoid that place? Of course they would. No one wants to trust their health and their life to a poorly functioning enterprise.Unfortunately for the Antelope Valley, we do not have as wide a selection of hospitals as may be found in Los Angeles or even the San Fernando Valley. As a result, too many families are forced to come to this horrible place because of the constraints of their insurance coverage. Back in the 1970s, I worked at AV Hospital in the Education Department and was on the faculty of the UCLA Family Practice Residency Program. The level of care and professionalism was much higher then but as the hospital grew and changed administrations, the quality declined significantly. My family is a member of Kaiser Permanente and in an emergency, we will first go to Palmdale Regional Medical Center for care or travel down to Panorama City to be seen at the Kaiser hospital there if it is not a life-threatening event. I would never even send my worst enemy to AV Hospital for medical problems, be they big or small. This place needs a complete house-cleaning from top to bottom and multiple lawsuits should be brought against those incompetent staff members who are running this terrible place.

My friend had told me today that someone he knows ,their mother ended up dying in this hospital from covid and that the ladys whole backside of her body was just totally covered with bedsores!!! She must of been in horrific pain!!! This means the nurses never moved her position at all in bed. Who knows then what else they werent doing!!!! I would never go to this hospital ad all the horror stories means it needs to be shut down period. They need to be sued maybe too a class action suit. Report them to your city leaders and more!!!

I gave birth in this hospital years ago and I regret never filing a complaint.When I went in during my contractions, the only person who treated me with kindness was the woman taking my paperwork but the first nurse had no regards for my discomfort or the pain I was going through. The nurse who was in charge of me during my delivery was a lot more caring and I respect her for her patience.But what bothered me the most was while I was delivering my baby (mind you this was my first time) through my screams my nurse came in asking if I was okay with having a student nurse come in. I said no, she went out inform them of my response BUT HE WAS BROUGHT IN ANYWAY. I don’t think it was his decision to come in but the nurse who was training him simply opened the door and walked him in anyway.As soon as my baby was born the student nurse and the other one quickly walked out.I felt so disrespected and I regret delivering at this hospital. I switched from PIH in Whittier to be closer to my family but the doctors and nurses there obviously had better training.

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST! Theyve had my sister in the hospital for 5 1/2 days for a relatively minor procedure. She shouldve been released the next day but THEY gave her some meds that made her vomit and dry heave. Then, even though her surgeon said to release her, they kept her TWO more days because they dont have their **** together and they dont communicate. We talked to the charge nurse (useless) and the night house supervisor (lied to us). They keep you there if you have good insurance so the hospital doctor and the hospital can make more money. This place is a total rip off. They dont care about the patients health or care. They only care about making money. They are full of lies and excuses and it all boils down to them wanting to make more money and being incompetent. If only there were enough space here to let you know what we had to deal with every day. Sadly, it seems most of the people that work there have attitudes and really dont like their job. They need management who will actually deal with the problems/complaints and staff that actually care about people.

I was there for heart failure, gastritis and afib , they took care me the 5 days i was there , all the nurses and doctors were very professional i was in so much pain and discomfort, but thanks to everyone there i came out like new and feeling better i am very thankfull to everyone that help me get better and feel better.

Very hard working Nurses and Nurse Technicians. I was in 5-Tower for 30 days, they became my family. Everyone from Housekeeping, Dietary Services, Nurses, Doctors, Nurse Technicians and Case Management were involved in the care of myself. I had a ball with them as laughing was my therapy 😂. I hated to transition to Rehabilitation Center because of the bond I had formed. Dr Kermani , you are first class and thank you for sitting in my room with your coffee and taking the time to explain everything to me. You need to teach a much needed refresher course in BEDSIDE MANNER!You have that and more!Thanks again,Holly Ralph

If I could give this place 0 stars I would but I had to give it at least 1 to write the review. They make you wait ridiculously long hours to be seen no matter what you have going on. My son was hit by a car and we waited. Again we were there because he had a broken clavicle from skateboarding and we waited…….. the level of care is really bad, and when you tell them you’re in pain they don’t believe you or they act like they are going to have to give you their personal supply of pain meds and it’s their last one or something!! It’s just all around a horrible experience!!

They have misdiagnosed me twice. If wasnt for cedar sinai twice saving my life A.V. would have killed me. Other hospitals know A.V. is a joke and needs to be revised. I have made a complaint and am ready to go further. To many people have been misdiagnosed treated poorly and unfair. Just because they put every body in a category in which the people are liars and seeking drugs sure that happens but what about people with serious health issues.. So people like me who are true suffers are left to rot and or have died because of the lack of care compassion and simple protocols made by A.V.

This is regarding my daughter, my children were born at this hospital 53 years ago. Sorry to say, this now is a dump yard, mostly due to CEO. Has made staff into non caring, sorry but not due to covid. This has been an ongoing problem for many years. Overgrowth and lack of experience performance in nursing. ER is as the nurse informed me we have a 110pt. Tonight, well sorry thats there job. While daughter lay bleeding in the hall, they ignored her and said they had trauma pt. Well guess what by 4am in the morning she had an aneurysm and nearly bled to death while quote attending trauma pt. Besides a very rude nurse the ER is filthy and I would never be sent there. They have a 2star rating and brought there health grade to a C finally. Palmdale Hospital is a great place and higher rating and clean, see for yourself, a hugh difference, sorry AV but no good anymore, in regards to the phone number you appease people its a joke, answer machine and your rsponce to reviews is same rhetoric to all, again automated. Andrew Montez is a lousy human being and has lousy customer service he probably got picked on when he was in the military and that’s why he treats us patients bad. No wonder his job title is 90% females.

I called 911 and paramedics brought me here, so far I was treated with compasión and I’m so grateful from the paramedics to nurses and doctor, they all treated me really well and super fast!Great experience that’s for sure.

I have no complaints.. my neighbor Janets been in and out of the ER and this hospital for the past few years and now spending her last days of life in AVH. Being treated with the utmost of kindness and respect. Natasha is her nurse (rm391) and I really couldnt ask for better treatment... From how shes treating Janet to keeping me posted on changes, I feel really blessed! Thank you AVH or the H as Janet called you!

Always depends on the doctor u get, some are good, some arent. The wait isnt usually TOO LONG, but then again u never can tell. 🤷🏼‍♀️...Ive Unfortunately had several friends that have had MAJOR malpractice issues at this hospital, BUT, I have yet to have such a horrible experience my self. Thank God!Northridge Hospital is my favorite Hospital, but this Hospital doesnt seem THAT BAD.

Wow, the pharmacy crew has been extremely helpful. The clinic secretary and assistant to Dr. Jafferi are always super helpful with my grandmas needs. I call from Denver to follow up on my grandmas appointments and new meds and everyone is always very helpful. Thank you for providing great survives for my sweet grandma. 👏🏼

Horrible place had to deal with they while in the state for military training. They will play the game to look good with have someone comment on the review thats works at the hospital apologizing for the bad experience but will never make changes to bring the staff up to par im treating individuals with respect and dignity. They need to realize they are just like any other person walking the street not above the them.

A friend of mine took her son here because he was nauseous and they told her that it was normal and prescribed him nausea medication & they also drew his blood and said everything was normal. She ended up driving to children’s hospital and her son’s blood sugar was over 600 & he almost went into diabetic shock!!!! This hospital really needs to get shut down. Reading all the reviews I can tell a lot of people will agree with me. I also read another post a while back about a mom who’s baby died because of this hospitals negligence. Her baby was having seizures and the hospital never prescribed the baby any medication. The mom was told the baby was constantly having seizures and this could’ve been prevented if the hospital had just done their job!!

I came in for a follow up due to my time away from work and and nurses there were rude and disrespectful they even snatched my Covid test away from a worker who was trying to help me I wish to never go there ever again and hope all that were staffed be fired

I have had to bring my daughter here 4 times during her pregnancy the 1 times she was 31 weeks and 5 days, they were trying to stop the contractions so the babies lungs could develop more. They kept her 5 days and then transfered her to loma linda who let her out the next day, the 2nd time the doctor was really rude and had no bed side manor at all, 3 time she just wasnt dilated enough and this time everything was great night shift was awesome and day shift nurses are as well, but security mall blast rent a cops are rude and cocky.

Absolutely horrific, they saved my life in emergency, & ICU, so 5 stars for emergency center.Staff is loud in hallways, sounds like your trying to sleep in a Chucky Cheese, during peak children tantrum hours.Nurses are not attentive to your needs or conditions. (Put you up to eat, then leave you like that for three hours) ~ caused multiple major bed soars.One Physical Therapist was so incompetent and insistent; that I Absolutely Had to refuse to work with Her Specifically. (The other 2 therapist, were quite competent and very helpful.Had to Fire my spouse as my Medical Decision Maker & Check myself out.Had to go back to surgery before I could be released.The Surgeons were excelent!Two days later, they honored my request to be released; & i was sent to Ellison John Rehabilitation Center and Elder care.The first 24 hours out of hospital and in Rehab Center, i thought i was in heaven.5 stars to Ellison John Location.99.9% of staff are pure Angels.Im certain Antelope Valley Hospital would have kept me, for months, had i not demanded to be released; once i was of sound mind.Kudos to the emergency room staff, Surgeons, and Doctors for saving my life.But a stay in the hospital, after ICU, was a pure nightmare...Avoid hospital at all costs.If you have an emergency, know that, that department, Surgeons, Staff, and Doctors absolutely Saved my Life.Limit your follow-up hospital stay, to an absolute minimum.Go somewhere else, as soon as you possibly can!Honestly,Jos.t.Alive and healing at home Now, after 1 week in rehab center.;/)It IS GOOD to be Alive, at least..

Sent to emergency from kaiser the nightmare begins im a heart patient absolutely no parking by emergency had to park infront of hospital and hike ..then security rude rude rude disrespectful.plus at end of day they lost my property and had piss poor attitude. Then my stay i was ignored and treated very badly..what happened to this place used to be awesome now awful wouldnt recommend to dog..they dont flat out care!! Dont trust Security!!! We took my fiancé here and found out she had gallstones. They decided to not admit her and send her home with pain meds. We came back two days later because her pain was far worse than before. They finally admitted her and decided to remove her gallstones. But in the process of doing so the surgery’s side effect was pancreatitis and she got an infection from it. They pumped her with pain killers but no antibiotics for at least three days, they sent her home again after seven days total. Nurses and staff are friendly and helpful as they can be. But we have been back here over three times with new issues related to the procedure they preformed. The GI Specialists are not good at their job here. If they had admitted her the first night and removed her gallbladder we would not be in this situation and she would be on the road to recovery. But instead we are suffering with their faulty decision making.

My nephew is in there in very serious condition do to an accident .they watch him 24 7. They explain everything theyre doing .the nurses are GREat

The multiple rude nurse that don’t know how to deal with family members when they are wired about their family member that has Covid . They don’t give accurate information. They were rude to me saying they can’t give me information because I wasn’t on the emergency contact list but I was the main emergency contact so that didn’t make any sense. I got a lot of answers like “ I wouldn’t know for sure you might want to speak with the head doctor.” And would Hear from the doctor for a week. By then another nurse was in charge.

This hospital is the absolute worst if you care about your loved ones find a better hospital I literally seen a lady in her 80s crying she cant breath seen 2 nurses come an ask her name and say hold on an never came back then when other patients go get the nurse they came with a attitude and say the doctor already seen her and later found out she has a breathing problem and needed oxygen and they dont do the test there supposed to they diagnosed you with anything and send u off with ibuprofen find a better hospital cause this is not it close them down

My mother received triple bypass surgery. The entire ICU staff was very respectful, caring and did an excellent job of keeping my family informed of my mothers progress. Thank you!

The process for getting a vaccine here is need need of some serious organization. When I arrived for my appointment, the staff did not have a way of knowing who arrived first, and helped people who arrived after me, as a result.Then, when I was helped, they ran out of vaccines. I had to wait over 45 minutes for new vaccines to arrive from the pharmacy. In total it took an hour and a half to get the vaccine. My family member was helped at Henry Mayo in a fraction of that time.

Wonderful place, security, nurse and doctor are very professional when my wife went there for type 2 diabetes examination. They were very good to my wife and made her happy. Then the doctor told my wife no charge for the examination. WOW! Never happen like this for me, Ive always paid for everything but this hospital made me feel that they care for you not just the money. (OMFG, my wife made a mistake, they didnt say no charge but charge later. I got the bill in the mail, it is about $1000. OMFG. So its about the money after all...... very disappointed)

The NP Patricia is the most ucompassionate,cold hearted,disrespectful and unprofessional np Ive ever had to deal with. She walks around the green zone like shes a queen,yeah maybe a heartless queen!Needless too say,Id rather die than have that Np treat me at AVH. Just because you deal with drug addicted people 24/7 doesnt mean you treat all your patients the same regardless of how you feel. Stop judging a book by its cover and just do your job as a NP! Utilize at your own risk and peril.The ER has become a ghetto free for all.I have had 11 surgeries in the last 28 years here. My children were born here in the 80s.I have a very large extended family, and have been in AVHMC over 200 times as a visitor or as a patient.Over the decades this once outstanding hospital has gone from excellent to horrible.There are some very good Doctors and Nurses who work here; and more than their share of quacks too, in all departments.Use at your own risk!!!If your health insurance covers Palmdale Regional, then I suggest you avoid AVHMC. I could write a book on the atrocities committed here, unfortunately.My father was released from a vhmc on October 19th with pneumonia. He was discharged to a Convalescent Hospital with no orders for antibiotics, with no orders for oxygen either. My father died 48 hours later only after being returned to AVHMC via the ER/ICU Contemplating a malpractice lawsuit.NOTE- to whoever replies to these comments, dont even bother; theres nothing you can say dont even bother. Dont bother giving me your patronizung tap dance with heres our phone number. You all had your chance and you blew it over and over again, dont even bother, because you will piss me off more than I already am.The only good thing I can say about this place is the ICU / ER is outstanding. The ICU on the 2nd floor is a joke though.

Been here waiting 12 hours just for a c.t scan

Brought my best friend here 7 times in 3 years for various issues and never got good information, treatment, or diagnoses. Brought him to Palmdale Regional *ONE TIME* and they immediately diagnosed him correctly and began treatment. Hes better now. If wed kept going to AVH he might be dead. Thanks for nothing.Edit: I notice the hospital is replying to some reviews, but only the ones bringing up issues it wasnt specifically at fault for, and only to point blame in the correct direction. Classy.

My uncle came to the emergency room last week with complaint of severe stomach pain. They sent him home , no test and a prescription for Maalox. Hours later that same day hours he was rushed to the hospital, passed out and stopped breath. Come to find out he had a hole in his stomach and a ruptured bowel. He had sepsis and his organs started to shut down and passed away two days later. The negligence of the doctor and nurse caused him his life.

WOW, MY HUSBAND IS IN THE HOSPITAL HERE. I HAVE BEEN HUNG UP ON 3 TIMES TODAY. THAT IS REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I NEED TO SPEAK WITH MY HUSBANDS NURSE ASAP, AND I KEEP GETTING HUNG UP ON. TODAY IS THURSDAY AUGUST 20TH. ITS AROUND 4PM. THE PERSON THAT IS IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATOR DURING THE WEEK, NEEDS TO SUSPEND OR FIRE THIS PERSON. THEY SOUND LIKE THEY HATE THERE JOB, OBVIOUSLY, CAUSE SHE KEEPS HANGING UP ON ME, AND RIGHT NOW, SHE JUST TRANSFERRED ME TO THE WRONG DEPARTMENT. SOMEONE NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS. ITS NOT THE FIRST TIME EITHER. I HAVE GIVEN THE TIME AND DATE, SO THIS WAY THAT PERSONS BOSS WILL REMOVE THEM FROM THERE JOB AND THEY WILL PUT SOMEONE THERE THAT WANTS TO WORK AND BE THERE. My mother died in this hospitals hallway on a gurney. She was brought by ambulance after losing a significant amount of blood as result of her fistula bursting open from her arm. The hospital failed to properly treat my mother in the critical moments when she needed emergency care. She was left unattended in the hospital hallway where she went into cardiac arrest and died.

I was taken to AV hospital back in September by Ambulence from the urgent care sr Kaiser because the doctor said I had an irregular heartbeat from an EKG. The doctor said I needed to be admitted and monitored there. When I got there I was in the waiting room for hours. When I finally got put into a room it was 1:30 in the morning. They did nothing. The doctor never ven came n to see me then at 2:00 in he morning they came in and said they were going to send me home. That was unacceptable.they called the case manager and my daughter told her the doctor at Kaiser wrote down about my irregular and I handed it to the nurse. The case manager said the doctor didn(t document so she said I had to go home. TheyCalled my son and everyone on joy mergency last to come and get me, the nor day I went to Kaiser n Woodland Hills and they ran every test you could hunk of and admitted me and said I was a Nemo and I needed a blood transfusion and my calcium was l. They also gave me laser through an IV to get the fluid off of me. When I got out of there I was like a new person. I filed a complaint with member services at Kaiser and hey nvestigated them and they did find out that nthng was done for m. I wouldn’t think recommend that place to anyone. I almost died because of them.

Being honest this was not my first time going to this hospital but it was the first time that I was glad I used it instead of a different one. They had systems in place to help cheap people that came in and people who work theyre safer from the covid-19 pandemic oh, and there were very few people there in the emergency department. Maybe that change the staff treated the patients because everybody was incredibly nice thorough and thoughtful and unlike most times that I go to an emergency room or Hospital, I actually felt like they did a good job. I was simply getting an x-ray but or nice professional I have nothing bad to say about this visit. Hopefully whatever you needed better is something that continues on after the pain is over.

A third world country hospital here.My chest started to hurt for no apparent reason. It was getting worse, I couldnt breathe or move. (It felt like some type of poisoning with heart attack symptoms.) I asked the neighbor to call the ambulance. When the ambulance showed they started to ask questions and took their time as if I wasnt there gasping for air. They responded with sarcasm after every question they asked as if I was eager to lie to them for some reason. People in the hospital were rude, unprofessional, they yelled people around, had no respect for peoples privacy, financial situation or medical condition. They had their lunches where they worked and where they had medical equipment and sick people.To be fair to the doctors there... I didnt notice anything unethical from the doctor(s) directly. My interaction with the doctor was for a minute or two only. He seemed to be well trained, professional and seemed to enjoy being of service and helping people.Nevertheless, the doctor was a small portion of the visit. I had to be there for hours and left there traumatized, upset and still in pain. If I dont call 911 next time when I m going through something like an heart-attack it will be because of this experience alone. Thank you for your services and for making people walk back home in the middle of the night in the freezing cold.I left without a normal checkup and with more questions than answers about my health. Had to walk home almost 2.5 miles while in pain. I completely lost respect and left with impressions of corrupt, greedy, unfriendly and surprisingly an hostile environment that should be avoided at all cost.

Don’t let them take you to the “GREEN ZONE” I was taken here via ambulance. Never will I ever come back here if I can help it. Words truly can’t express how unprofessional, uncaring and down right rude the staff was. From the staff to the doctors the incompetence was staggering.One of many incidents from this single visit: I told my nurse (RN) I would like to decline one med because my fear of having a bad reaction to it. The nurse confirmed by asking, “you don’t want..(said med)” ... me: no I do not want (said med). The nurse: okay I’ll be back, I’m going to get the other meds for dizziness and nausea. When the nurse came back he went directly to my iv access and proceeded to push a med through, I ask what it was and he said the name of the med...I asked what is it for, he said dizziness. I quickly ran a search of the med with my cellphone using my left hand only and what came back was the exact medication I told him I did not want, he used the generic name instead, I’m guessing so I wouldn’t refuse. Now why he would do that is beyond me ... for a sick demented reason I guess, I will never know. But fortunately for me, I was able to stop him just as his thumb starting pushing it through my iv!! I said “ is that (said med i did not want)?? He said well yes, it’s .... (and said the generic name for it). When I reminded him that I did not want it. He just simply unscrewed the dose from my iv and screwed in the other med for dizziness. I will never ever, ever if I can help it, return to this hospital!!!! It’s was one of the worse and scariest experiences I’ve ever had!

Edit to add I called the # for the patient family experience listed in the response multiple times over my husbands 11 day stay and it did not help. My name was placed on the whiteboard in his room and still no one called me when his status changed. Absolutely horrible experience.My husband had a stroke and was taken there by the ambulance. I was not allowed to be there with him due to COVID restrictions. The lack of communication was horrible. I called multiple times a day, nurses said I needed to speak with doctors, yet the doctors never called me back. I never got any updates to his condition, when things happened no one called me to let me know. I made it clear no matter what time of day it was call me if there were any changes, and no one did. I spoke to someone on the board of directors and was promised a call back that didnt happen either.

Spent 1 month there. They were wonderful!! All the staff was friendly and helpful. Drs, nurses, everyone. Probably saved my life. Thank you!

Brother passed away there in the ICU and the nurse i believe her name is mellisa was VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFULL AND SHOULDNT BE WORKING THERE . SHE ACTED WITH NO SYMPATHY SHE ALSO SAID YOU ONLY HAVE 10 MIN CUS I HAVE TO PREP HIM AND CLEAN HIM UP BEFORE HE GETS STIFF !!! WHAT KIND OF PERSON SAYS THAT TO A FAMILY MEMBER THAT JUST LOST THEIR BROTHER !!

Really bad place. Dont know this place is still open. Doesnt deserve to be called a hospital. They should get an inspector to check all their files and customer complaints

Drive 1 hr south to Henry Mayo and get better care and a clean hospital.

Went into ER with complaints of a severe migraine and a mild seizure. was sent home after spending the night in the hallway of ER with no CT scan. I was accused of being a drug user at 12 years old.... literally 12 years old .... ended up having a brain cyst. shoutout to kaiser on sunset who took care of it and had me in surgery within 45 mins of admission.

Dirty, unprofessional, unorganized. After 6 hours, I was told they didn’t see any reason for my pain. I was driven to another hospital and had gallbladder removal surgery within a few hours.

I would love for you to explain to everyone on here as to why the lady was dumped in the parking lot under a truck? And why did you lie and say that the men that recorded the video, staged it? You dont want to take responsibility for.your actions? Ill make you a deal here. Right here, right now. I will give you 48 hours to answer my questions, and I will remove my comment. If not, everyone that I know will post reminders of what you did to that lady. We will call, and post on your reviews here. I hope and pray with all that I am that something like this happens to you, and all your loved ones.

The Gasto Outpatient center was amazing. I have had a few good experinces in the ER with certian doctors and nurses but the majority of my vists have been horrible. The 5 stars is soley for those indivudals and the outpatient center.

My pops was here for a procedure. He was in for a couple of days. Every time I called, the nurses were kind, patient, and understanding. Thank you for taking care of my dad!!

Delayed Surgery, 3 times, put into preop with leg compressions and morphine but let out after bad scheduling. Never saw doctor after surgery. One nurse took blood pressure on arm with IV and caused some lasting bruising. Food was good.

I cant say enough about the staff in the ED and ICU that recently saved my moms life. For my family, its been nothing short of a journey we couldnt say thank you enough for.

I was there for 12 and a half hours wait for a CT scan, a MRI, and xrays. I had to ask them what was taking so long if I could at least get a sip of water and each time they said i dont know and no water until we get the tests done. Then not only did they do the bare minimum when I finally got a bed I was in it for less than 5 minutes and they told me to get up and go back to the waiting room because they need the room for someone else. I then proceeded to ask if i can get something for my pain and they said there are 5 people in front of me even tho it only takes 1 minute to give some pain medicine. After being there for 12 n a half hours then they decided to tell me im being transferred. So I then proceeded to ask if I can get water where they still deny me water even tho Im waiting to be transferred. Av hospital is just there to take the most from your insurance. Drive an hour away and save your time and money. You dont need the AV hospital. And they need a half a star rating even tho they dont deserve half a star.

No emergency is great but surprisingly I got seen right away and then was put in a room for my daughter. She couldn’t breath and they attended to her right away. Triage guy was very nice and professional. The nurse I had was okay and then a better one came named Michelle she was very nice and made sure we had juice and blankets. I do think that they need more nurses because the wait was very long and they forgot about the nebulizer that my daughter was on. Other than that it wasn’t as bad as I thought going into ER at 3am! Thanks!!

Worst hospital ever people! I brought my husband with a really strong pain! Because a condition he have, not pain medicine And no nurse or doctor check on him until 3 hours later! So, please! People if you really love your love one, Is worth too drive a hour or two for a better hospital in LA or other cities nearby. Next time I prefer to drive him, too a far hospital than waiting on a waiting room. For my husband too die.

I had bladder surgery. I needed help to use the bedside commode. I hit the call button someone said they would be with me in a minute. 1 and 1/2 hours later someone comes in and asked if I was doing okay. No, I needed help and no one came. I have been laying in a wet bed for 1 and 1/2 hours. She went and got a nurse. Who was then nasty with me because she had to change a wet bed. I hope I dont have to go to Antelope Valley Hospital again!!

Kindergartner was hurt in an accident. The care was fine, however all of the physicians and nursing staffs hard work was negated by the terrible attitude in their customer service and billing departments. Expect to be berated by their customer service if you dispute their erroneous charges.

My son had a scalp laceration. We went to Kaiser urgent care at 1048 pm they are closed already. The security guard directed us to Antelope Valley Hospital emergency department. We were in and out for an hour and a half. From registration, getting a room, being seen by the nurse, Nurse practitioner assessing the wound, being cleaned and placing staples on the wound, up to being discharged complete with the follow up care. Amazing!!! That is what I call an excellent service! Our thank you to all the staff that helped us.

My girlfriend came here after a suicide attempt and they didnt even put her on a 72 hour hold. Yall are garbage. She said the food was good though.

They wont let you visit immediate family anymore, even when they are admitted for a week and are alone and scared. You can get a new negative COVID test, yet for some reason that makes no difference. They wont even let you send gifts because apparently they might have the virus on them, even if it came from their own shop. They have decided to focus exclusively on physical health during the pandemic. Mental health be damned!

This hospital has 1.9 stars for a reason! They don’t deserve one star! Terrible nurses, very rude and don’t care for patients. If you are able to go to a different facility I would highly recommend it

Was only there for my covid shot this time, went well no long wait times

I would suggest better staff. It is in no way shape or form appropriate to dump a person on the street in that ladies condition with a bag over her head. No matter what she was going through, she needed help and you failed her. Is that the treatment you would expect for your loved ones?

The worst hospital in California. They have misdiagnosed and sent people away untreated. If you love your loved ones DO NOT go here. They have on two occasions mistreated and misdiagnosed two friends which later died. Stay away. Can’t believe this place is still open. Horrible horrible place. Close this facility

I just saw the video about the lady getting dumped in the parking lot. It was a horrible and shameful act. They studied to be doctors and nurses so they can save lives but yet they turn the other way and ignore it. How can they do that? What if that lady was then? Would they like it? Of course not. Sigh...but like what people say “if you don’t like your job/career, then just quit.” It’s that easy. Smh.

Cut my finger with an electric power saw. This hospital was recommended by the ambulance crew in Cal City. The hospital is about an hour away from California City and it has all the resources available for any type of emergency. Hospital staff was friendly. I got in to get stiched up in less than an hour. They even had a fancy X-ray machine in the green zone to x ray my finger to check to see if I hit the bone. Doc did a great job. Staff was very knowledgeable and working efficiently.

Worst hospital in USA (special for kids )

My newborn baby was brought in as an emergency as his flu virus symptoms had escalated beyond our medical control. He was admitted immediately he was given meds for his high fever and was put on oxygen and examined promptly by the ER team. The ER dept was very busy with this hectic flu season and I appreciate their upbeat and hardworking attitudes. We were then admitted to Pediatrics department and honestly every nurse that is working up there Thank you for your hard work care and overtime! You are all Rockstars! Even the Peds Mds were great and very informative. Im glad my baby is better after 4 days in the hospital. Oh and the cafeteria has pretty good food choices.. except for pizza can yall get a better crust pleaseee lol but the omelettes, oatmeal bar, onion rings, chicken tenders, bacon cheeseburger and salad bar are all fuego!

Staff needs to be trained more properly. Poor care system. It’s embarrassing how are you guys still open.

They dumped a patient on the pavement in the parking lot. The woman rolled on the ground in pain as security guards laughed at her. Instead of taking responsibility for the incident, the hospital is now involved in a cover-up. I wonder how many patients have been abused, beaten and possibility murdered at this hospital.

Today is Jan 22,2020 and I went to this hospital expecting help for the pain in my neck and the right side of my body and the doctor that was going to evaluate me came up with her own conclusion that she thinks I cant take care of my child and she was saying children services needed to be notified but I was the only person in there so instead of evaluating me she told her nurse to call DCFS and I still didnt the help or exam done by this hospital and a week before this I went in for a chest pain and come to find out I was having a mild heart attack and they still sent me home so a/v hospital needs to do better with their patience

I just saw a video of your hospital staff dumping a patient onto the ground in your parking lot with a spit mask. You have people at their weakest point in life; physically & mentally - and this is what you staffers do? Your hospital is a disgrace from the actions you took throughout the whole video.First, the action of doing it. Second, hiding identities. Third, realizing what you did was wrong and finally providing help. Fourth, trying to trespass and remove the press from the property. All evidence of wrongdoing.

Honestly I was terrified to go here knowing I had to get blood drawn to check for appendicitis last night but once I was called back an amazing nurse Andrew M. was so kind and understanding I hope one day he gets a raise for how considerate and gentle he knew when to stop and give me a break and just what to say to take my mind off the needle. 100% would recommend getting this nurse.

Its very good they are helping me with some needs

This is the worst hospital by far!!!!! My sister was in a horrible car accident, she was in terrible pain!! We kept asking for pain medication for 4 hours and nobody cared.... I got so upset and asked to speak to the main nurse and finally after waiting 30min to talk to the nurse my sister gets pain medication. They gave her regular pain medication that did nothing for her pain. Looking at my sister still in pain I dictate to take her to another hospital, I asked for my sister to be discharged but all of the sudden they had new for us and took her to a room and gave her morphine.And to my surprise they gave her that strong medication and had her sit in the waiting room instead of a bed!!! I never ever experience something like this!!!! Nobody cares in this hospital!!!!

(HUGE SIGH! ) I came here to the ER last year because of chest pain i called the ambulance to pick me up in fear that i was having heart problems. It was my first time experiencing anything like this so i had no idea what i was going through , i felt as if i was going to faint and i had severe chest pain , on top of this i was all by myself in my home , i think any one with the right set of mind would call an ambulance especially if u have never experienced anything like this before . To make it short and simple i was having a anxiety attack. When they got here there was a lady in her late 20s with attitude above the roof as if she didnt want to help me. As soon as she knew what it was she had more of an attitude because it wasnt an emergency. NOT ONLY THAT BUT WHEN WE GOT TO THE HOSPITAL THIS LADY AND OTHER PEOPLE THAT WORKED THERE AT THE ER HAD THE AUDACITY TO LAUGH AT ME AND CALL ME NAMES INFRONT OF MY MOTHER . THEY THOUGHT WE COULDNT HEAR THEM BUT THERE WAS ONLY A SMALL CURTAIN IN BETWEEN US. SHE APPARENTLY FELT THIS WAY BECAUSE SHE WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE HOME WHEN I CALLED FOR HELP , I HEARD HER SAY THIS!!! IF YOU DONT WANT TO HELP PEOPLE THEN DONT WORK HERE PERIOD. BELIEVE ME I UNDERSTAND I DEAL WITH PEOPLES MONEY FOR A LIVING I KNOW WHATS ITS LIKE TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE. BUT I NEVER TREAT PEOPLE THIS WAY THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Youre probably wondering why im writing a review a year later and thats because i had another bad experience a few days ago. MIND YOU I DONT LIKE TAKING THE TIME OUT OF MY DAY WRITING A LONG SUMMARY ON A PLACE THAT I WENT TO INITALLY FOR HELP . BUT I HAVE TO ,YOU PEOPLE HAVE TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU GET HERE. a few days ago i showed up because i have gastritis i felt lots of pain in my chest and throat it wasnt letting me sleep . I didnt know at the time what it was and thats why I DROVE ! up there. anyway when i get there i check in and i see a african american doctor at the front where you check in (the same one that saw me last year) and he proceeds to tell me You were just here a year ago what are you doing here this time i hope its not for the same reason now when he said this it wasnt because he was concerned about my health NO he asked me this to start conversation with another nurse about me infront of other people there at the ER. That bothered me a little but i let it slide because after all i dont want to get into an argument with the person thats supposed to help me. A nurse in the front thats chubby and looks slightly asian checked my pressure and was asking me questions SHE ALSO HAD AN ATTITUDE AND IT WAS OBVIOUS SHE DIDNT WANT TO BE THERE. I EXPLAINED TO HER SEVERAL TIMES THAT MY THROAT WAS HURTING AND SHE DIDNT MENTION THAT TO THE DOCTOR AND I KNOW SHE DIDNT BECAUSE THE DOCTOR TOLD ME HIMSELF THAT SHE DIDNT. IT IS NOT MY FAULT AS A PATIENT THAT YOU ARE HAVING A BAD DAY AND BECAUSE OF THAT I DONT GET THE RIGHT TREATMENT. THIS IS COMPLETE BS I DONT UNDERSTAND THE PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE. THIS PLACE NEEDS SOME SERIOUS TRAINING ON THERE STAFF THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! EVEN AFTER BEING VERY POLITE TO THEM I GET TREATED THIS WAY AND ALSO WAIT IN THE LOBBY FOR FOUR HOURS TO BE SEEN. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS !!!! I NEED A PHONE NUMBER OR SOMETHING BECAUSE THIS IS COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND ABSURD!
