We really have appreciated the assistance and help of all staff members at Neffsville. I highly recommend them. We have been so happy and impressed by them as they provide great information. We have five dogs and two cats that we take there and they are treated amazingly. They saved the life of our cat when he was ill! I highly recommend them!

Brought our 7 year old Doberman out to the clinic to have her left rear leg evaluated. Joint appears to be in good shape. Staff was cordial, rate was reasonable, & service was prompt.

My precious baby boy, Chomp, (a bunny) needed to be neutered because I adopted him with his sister and I dont want any babies. Hes my first pet living on my own and I was an anxious mess but Neffsville Clinic took amazing care of him and kept me updated and even sent me pictures while he was in recovery from surgery!! I spent time looking for the best vet to treat my bunny since neutering them isnt as common as a dog or a cat. Im so happy, and the entire staff was so kind and pleasant. I feel like Chomp had a little vacation getting all the attention there!! I will only be taking my babies here from now on.

Love this vet! All the Doctors show so much care for our animals. They always take the time to talk with you about any concerns and make sure all your questions are answered.

I cannot give enough praise to Dr Hockenberry and the staff at neffsville. Misty has been amazing in all communication through the pregnancy and delivery of my French bulldog puppies. Even though delivery happened outside of their hours they were there when needed for all puppy vaccinations and well visits. Well be switching my entire furry crew to this facility even though they are an hour away They are well worth the drive. Thank you for being an amazing group

I have been coming here since 2014 when my dog was diagnosed with cancer. They team was very compassionate and caring. The vet got emotional as well as it’s a difficult situation. But you can feel the emotions from the team in the room and it was heart warming to know they really cared. I was given 2-3 months for my dogs survival rate that day but luckily she pulled through and gave me another 3 years. After she passed I continued to go with my other pets because I felt no other veterinary practice showed me the same compassion. I’m glad I stuck around, I now bring my 4 pets here and I still love it till this day, from the moment you walk in to the front desk, to the vet techs, customer service and the doctors. They never skip a beat, and every single person seems to truly enjoy there job. I recommend everyone here and yes it is pricey, but you get what you pay for. And I always get amazing service.

We are very blessed to have Dr.Riehl on this journey. Finn is having a difficult time right now, due to several issues. We are working as a team and thankfully the support has been wonderful. When I call or send a text, I am always given answers to help me decide on critical things. Everyone I encounter is helpful and concerned about Finn’s well being. During difficult times I know that Finn will be cared for and the treatment is one I can rely on. The communication is excellent and that gives a positive outcome for our loved pet.

First visit was an emergency on a Sunday when my vet was not open, Neffsville came to the rescue! The doctor and staff were great. I will be switching vets going forward. Hours are very accommodating.

I recently decided I was going to move into snakes as pets and had trouble with my first and the lack of knowledge didnt help. Out of about 20 vets I called half of which saw snakes no one was more helpful then Dr. Riehl. she called me back after I left a message to talk with me about the problem over the phone even before I brought in noodle my snake to get checked out. She provided me with a lot of great ideas/help. I did end up bringing her in today to have her checked out and again Dr. Riehl was just incredibly helpful fully explained everything for me and made the whole experience super easy. Shes a wonderful DR if you have exotic pets and just a great person in general would definitely recommend coming here for your exotic pets!

Neffsville is always the most accommodating business that I am a customer of, I truly feel like family. They are always caring and understanding when trying to fit us in for an appointment. They have been there for my family through the ups and downs of owning dogs. But their advice and expertise is why I wouldn’t go anywhere else. AFAIK they have 10 vets on staff. Not many places around here can do what Neffsville does, especially at the level they do it!

I love this vet clinic!! I tried to schedule an appt for my guinea pig when I was living elsewhere last year. I called every place for weeks and no one would see him. I called Neffsville Veterinary Clinic and they gave me an appointment the next morning! The staff is kind and both vets I have met are lovely. The new rodent vet is very nice and energetic! 10/10 recommend.

I never leave reviews, but I’ve had the best experience with Dr. Riehl, the nurses, and clinic as a whole. Both my cats have received exceptional care, especially when one was having urinary issues. They even called me to check up on my cat days after the appointment to see how she was doing. They understand how pets relationships at home can impact their health, and really take the time to address the home environment. The staff is very responsive and really listens to your concerns, and I can tell they really care. Cannot recommend them enough

I moved out to Lancaster last summer and wanted to find a quality veterinary hospital for my dog and a veterinarian that not only I would like but my dog as well. I have had great experiences the few visits we have been and Dr. Riehl was AMAZING and my dog took so well to her that she is now her official vet. They’re friendly, clean, and have a flame less candle at their Welcome desk that has a note on it if the candle is “lit” a family is grieving their pet and I found this to be so compassionate and It reaffirmed my choice to bring my dog there. I highly recommend them and I hope my positive experiences continue!!

I am very dissatisfied with our neuter experience. We have been going to neffsville for 6 months since we adopted our pup. We pay the upscale price because we thought we would received exceptional service. Our pup was neutered on Thursday and had to fast 12 hours prior. He was dropped off at 7 am per the vet but was not neutered until 330-4pm. I picked him up at 6 and he was very much out of it because he had no time from the procedure for the anesthesia to wear off. I was under the impression he would be neutered early morning and be observed the rest of the day. When I picked him up, he was very much out of it and was covered in his own urine (because he pees when he is excited), most puppies do. I would have expected maybe them to at least clean him up. He was also sent without a cone that I paid for and was on my receipt. I had to knock back on the door and ask for my cone with a puppy who was very much unlike himself. I am just very unhappy with my pup sitting in a cage, fasted for almost 8 hours prior to his surgery and then sent home immediately after with no observation or time for the anesthesia to wear off. We pay top dollar at this establishment because we expected exceptional service, which I didn’t find to happen the day of his neuter.

Dr. Grove is the best vet I have ever had. She is so compassionate and goes above and beyond to see my cat gets the best treatment. The whole facility is great including the staff. I highly recommend. They will see to your animals every need and try their hardest to make them feel better.

I had an emergency and no one within 20 miles with the exotic animal experience or who wasn’t on vacation could see me except here at Neffsville Veterinary. I was frantic and Dr. Riehl agreed to see me and my albino Hymilayan guinea pig Ruby who had a fall a short distance while my child was away at camp. Dr Lexi Riehl was very knowledgeable loving beautiful concerned and a kind woman in a white lab coat educated and reassured me my exotic animal was going to be fine and me too. I had been procrastinating a long time to find a vet and it was a miracle how this all happened and I’m very fortunate and lucky to have been taken cared by Neffsville Veterinary and Dr Riehl. Even though they were at a luncheon and short staffed the staff took my message and felt as though it was important enough to address and they did and I’m grateful. This is truly what a vet should be. And it was next to little cost too and saw my guinea pig emergency. They gave me wonderful advice and calm me down because I was so nervous my Ruby was hurt. They made her feel better and went out of their way to be kind. I cried. I have never seen veterinary do this for anyone. This is my new vet and it should be your pets too. Many people recommend this vet to me. This was my first time taking my dog to a vet. She is a Pitbull so I wanted to make sure I went somewhere that was comfortable with her breed. And I feel like I made a good decision. Everyone was so nice from the minute I walked in the door. My girl got all the loving and kisses. They made us feel very comfortable. My vet was Dr.Rosenbaum and she will be my go to vet from here on out. They let us stay in the room until we were all done and paid. My girl can be somewhat reactive to other dogs. So letting us stay in the room was very helpful. I can’t recommend them enough!!!

We normally would not like the larger, multi-disciplinary veterinary offices, but Neffsville feels different. I swear I dont seem to ever get the same person on the phone - seems the tech names are all different, BUT, the coordination, the information, the responses are all seamless and its as if they all know everything all at once. Their record keeping must be impeccable.We see Dr Sloyer, and like him very much. He seems to be kind of intuitive, and knows the right thing. I have seen him review Raymonds records history, and its fast and efficient, which again tells me they all have the systems down, and all do the same record keeping..They are organized, and efficient - and kind.Now, if they can fix the crawling traffic just out on Lititz Pike!

They are a very caring clinic. Have been going there for about 40 some years with 3 different dogs. Great hours. They somehow get a bad rap for being costly....not so.

I was just there to get my cats nails trimmed, but I was in and out in 15 to 20 minutes.

Neffsville Vet is by far the BEST veterinary clinic I have ever taken my cats to. (I have tried 3 others) Everyone here is ACCOMMODATING, FRIENDLY, and PROFESSIONAL. They continue to impress me by making my cats feel comfortable, and by doing what is best for my cats. I would recommend this place to anyone, for any pet, and I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Neffsville Veterinary Clinic is A++. While I only used them for final services and it was hard for me to say goodbye to my Gambit and Rogue, they gave easy and respectful options. I chose the private cremation with paw prints. While it was a little pricey, my mind was at ease that they came back home

My first visit with them was amazing! I took my new kitten there since they had more convenient hours than the vet I usually use. The second visit I waited curbside for 40 minutes past my appointment with absolutely no communication. I was about to pull out of the parking lot when they called saying they were ready for my cat. I explained I had been waiting and was about to leave. They said they had a few emergencies.....I absolutely get that, but what I dont get is the lack of communication with me. If you cant handle dealing with curbside, than maybe dont do it. Im disappointed as I really liked the vet the first visit, and like I said they had better hours. I guess you cant get both great hours and great customer service with a vet. It is one or the other.

100% recommend Neffsville Vet clinic and specifically Dr. Riehl! I’ve never had better service and care for my animals! Dr. Riehl was kind, compassionate, and direct. The clinic and herself made themselves 100% available to me 24/7, to give me updates on the status of my cat, Charlie, who was in serious care. They made sure to hear out all my concerns on my pet’s medical history, our financial situation and budget, and answered all my questions in a manner that made me feel listened to, educated, comfortable, and above all instilled a trust. I’ve been a happy customer with Neffsville for a few years now, originally with Dr Parr (who was absolutely incredible but has since left the practice to start her own) but Dr. Riehl is THE most amazing veterinarianI have ever worked with. So end rant I’m so thrilled to have my cat home safe with me and I look forward to working with them again in the future and I was always recommend Neffsville to all my fellow fur parents!

During a time of desperation and sorrow, Dr. Blithe was compassionate, thorough, and took her time with my beloved pup and family. The staff was also responsive and helpful. We will be happy to continue all of our future care with this practice.

My current vet was closed on a Saturday and my cat, Simon, needed to be seen ASAP (not quite life threatening enough for an ER visit). Neffsville got us in that morning, even though we were not current patients. Sadly, Simon had to be put down and the nurses and Dr. Grove treated us just like Simon was their own. It made a very difficult day a little easier. If we decide to have another pet in the future, I think the drive to Neffsville vet would be worth it for us!

First time here with 2 of my guinea pigs. The Dr. and staff were so incredibly nice and thorough! I will continue to take my pigs here!! A little $$$ , but I guess its the price for great care!

Awesome place! They take very good care of my dog Roscoe who is a pit lab mix and he’s had heart worm treatment with them as well as yearly check ups and any other problem we’ve encountered and they have fixed him up every time!

Now lets talk about the physicians one in particular,,, her name is Dr. LEXI RIEHL,,,Just an awsome warm and very passionate vet,, about her patients(pets)and their parents. When we first met her,,we were looking for a vet that took on Guinea pigs,,after a search,,there wasnt a vet that would take on our pets,,till we came across Neffsville Vet clinic,,it was during the covid restriction so we consulted over the phone,,it was a little nerve wrecking,, my babies are in the office alone with strangers and we were in outside in our car,,after talking with her we felt relieved and relaxed that our babies were in excellent hands. Of course you may say well all businesses are like that,,true but here is how this Vet knocked it out of the ballpark, and from my family to her and her mother THANK YOU,,GOD BLESS YOU,,we were going on vacation and no board and grooming would again take on our babies,,so we tried Neffsville,,but they were full,,, we were about to cancel our trip when DR. RIEHL helped us out. and sent us pics and just loved our babies,,,,Thank You,,not only are you our family vet,,you are our friend,,,,if my family were to put the ⭐s for you it would be as many as the stars above,, GREAT JOB.

Very caring staff and vets. They got my dog in fast (same day) for her issue, she was treated properly and most importantly with care. I got a follow up call a few days later to make sure she was doing OK with her course of treatment. Awesome place, would highly recommend!

After two months of a different previous vet clinic not giving me the help I needed for my 8 year old cat I decided to try neffsville and I’m so glad I did. Dr. Rosenbaum and the staff did such an amazing job. She actually listened to my concerns and checked them out and the nurses were so helpful and nice even when I was a scared raging cat mom they understood and just did everything to make her and me more comfortable as they helped her. I had an excellent experience bringing my dog here. I inherited my dog after losing my mother unexpectedly, and owning a dog is now a first for me. My dog is a senior at 12 years old, and every single person I encountered at the vet was very welcoming and personable. I chose Neffsville after doing some research online, and I decided to make the commute there from York because I wanted to ensure my dog got the best possible care. My first and only visit at Neffsville thus far has made me confident that ive made the right decision! They were very thorough and answered all my questions and concerns. I found it very sweet that they had a board inside their entrance to Welcome our New Furry Friends with new patient names. It was really sweet to see my dogs name on there. :)

My partner and I had to put our dog to sleep.He was Mike’s best friend and companion for 16 years. It was a heat breaking time for us . Ill start off here by saying this is the first negative review I have ever posted for a business. I dont like posting them because I often think one negative experience doesnt define a business entirely. But after reaching out to their team with these issues first and getting a very general response, I dont feel theyre going to do anything to change their practices and I want to educate other pet owners.In 2020, our cat was diagnosed as diabetic. Id been taking her to Neffsville for a few years and always had great service, so I expected them to take great care of Gabby with the new diagnosis. Unfortunately, after the initial consultation which was great, I had multiple issues that caused me to change vets.First, I was never told in the initial consultation that blood work appointments had to be scheduled 4 hours after insulin. I showed up to the next appointment at the wrong time and they pretty much dismissed me when I said I was never told the timeframe. Either way, since I had good experiences before I figured it was a miscommunication and moved on.Second, we took her to be boarded for a 3-day weekend. Gabby can be a very difficult cat so I figured boarding may not go well. They were good with communicating how she was doing and explained that she was refusing to eat, but that they were syringe feeding her. When we returned, it was like she was half the weight she was. Never was it communicated that she was losing so much weight. Honestly, I wouldve come home early had I known how bad she was doing being there. Again though, I thought this was maybe how boarding went since I had never boarded an animal before and kept my appointments with them.Third, since Gabby is difficult and doesnt like the vet, an all-day blood curve test to measure her diabetic level wasnt possible. Neffsville suggested an alternative test and I figured that would be sufficient. Fast forward to our new vet and I find out this isnt actually an alternative and is pretty much ineffective for what was needed. Our new vet said we could do the curve test at home instead of bringing her in, which Neffsville never offered. They never even explained to us that we can and should be taking her blood levels at home to make sure insulin is actually needed. We found out within one at-home test that Gabby was in remission and is no longer diabetic.The final issue that made me choose a new vet was that after almost 7-8 months of tests and appointments, I was told that whenever they took her into the back for the exam, they were muzzling her and had to force her down for any tests. The last time I took her in she was shaking in the car, which she never does. The vet shared that she even peed and pooped herself from being so upset at that visit. Like I said, I know my cat is tough to deal with, but I would never, EVER expect a vet to be doing those types of things and not tell me. In my opinion, its unethical to keep this from a pet owner.All of this to say, I think if you are taking your pet there for routine visits, this vet will be fine for you. They were for me for 3+ years. Its why I gave them 2 stars. If your animal needs specialized care, can be difficult at the vet and/or you like clear communication, I would look elsewhere. Also, like I said I did share this feedback with their team, but the reply I got didnt really convince me they were taking this seriously. I can see from other reviews that they tend to think their 5 star reviews mean these negative reviews dont matter. Im looking for a vet who has the humility and care to make sure theyre providing top-notch service, not one whos worried about proving their reviews matter more than their customers pets.

So far I have only been there once. Great experience. They treated us and the cat very nice. This is the first cat we have had so I do not know how to gauge price but seemed reasonable. The waiting area had to be the most impressive part. It was huge with comfortable chairs to sit and an area to keep all the kids occupied with vet gear. I will be going back.

I brought my dog here for the first time after moving here from Tennessee for his wellness exam and his shots. I did alot of research on vets in the area to make sure he would receive the best care and Im glad I chose this office! Everyone here was so friendly and caring! We felt very welcome here and I am happy with the decision I made to make this our new office!

I just moved to Lancaster. With all the stress of moving, thats when my dog needed medical attention. No one could see her immediately, and the pet hospital wanted me to leave her there for 2 hours (she was already stressed from the move.)I called everywhere. No one would see her.When I called Neffsville, the receptionist said we just had a cancellation! Bring her in! I was so grateful!! Now THATS fabulous customer service!The facility is lovely, the staff was kind and caring, and my doggie is feeling better. We feel welcome in our new home. Thanks Neffsville!

I honestly cant say enough good things about Neffsville. I moved my dog here from Utah and was not prepared for how much more expensive it is in PA to be a dog owner (fleas and ticks arent a thing out west at all). Neffsville has been wonderful kindly educating me and presenting me with multiple options for my dogs health. I really feel like they take the time to get to know me and my animal, its not just a revolving door vet clinic. They genuinely want to help you make an informed decision, rather than seeing you as a huge dollar sign.Theyre very reasonably priced and are up front ahout options before they charge you.Im so glad to have found them (recommended by multiple neighbors) and completely trust them caring for my fur baby in absolute confidence.

Neffsville saved our dog, Dixie’s life and took great care of us while doing so. We will never take her or our cats anywhere else. Great experience with the grooming staff as well. Everyone at Neffsville takes care of our animals as if they were their own.

I have been very happy here. I switched here from our previous vet and its been great. Everyone is very friendly and they are very sweet and caring to my cat. Plus, they are great at getting you in to be seen quickly! They actually sell most things that you need right in the office, which makes it extremely convenient to be able to grab what you need when you are there. Overall, I have had a very positive experience.

All the staff are caring and compassionate. As we had to manage a surgery and end of life decisions they were with us every step of the way. Best group of vets and staff I have ever been to. I can’t say enough nice things.

As a first time dog owner I have been so impressed with Neffsville Veterinary Clinic. My puppy is receiving first class care! I would definitely recommend them!!!!

At first we were really pleased with this place: the staff are friendly, the wait time wasnt long, they knew how to talk to animals, and it is a friendly environment. Theyre a bit pricey, but the service we received was really worth it. HOWEVER, they have somehow hired the worst clerical staff available. We have gone back a few times, and each time they have little to no records on our pets. They have given us incorrect apportionment dates multiple times and not told us to bring in stool samples or paper work (and then asking for it when we arrive). Their files are void of information on our pets. They are constantly asking the same questions, ones meant for a 3 month old puppy when our dog is a year and a half old. Because of these errors, they are giving puppy shots to a dog who has already been vaccinated for these diseases. It is obvious that the onus is not on Neffsville to keep correct records of the pets, but rather on the owner. It seems like a basic request for the veterinary offic to keep records on pets it treats.

Place is run very well. Staff is extremely nice and caring.

I love this office I have had such a hard time since we moved to lancaster county to find a good vet that we trusted. Thankfully we found neffsville. As long as we are in the area this will be our vet! They actually care about the animals and dont just see them as dollar signs like so many vets in the area. My first experience with them we lost our little buddy due to no fault of them (cancer) they explained everything and were so good with our baby the entire time and genuinely cared about us and our loss. Very highly recommend!

I started taking my dog to not show a few weeks ago my first vision was extremely pleasant we went over a few things they checked him out we did a blood panel the doctor I spoke with advised we should look intoAnd extensive dental cleaning he told me he could be 400 $500 dólares A few days later I got a call with the quote and it was three times that it was a little disheartening to be honest I spoke with one of the managers and they made me an appointment with the actual doctor that was going to do the procedure so I was charged once more to get another more accurate price which came out to be just over $1000 being off work for eight months $1000 was quite a lot but I figured my dog is definitely worth it the next day I called to see if we could move the appointment up because my dogs seem to have more discomfort I was called back and the appointment was moved up and apparently so is the price I was basically told if I didn’t like the price I didn’t have to bring my cat there first off I don’t have a cat it’s a dog so the person who thinks that they’re so high and mighty should have all the information before they speak this place is just about money and they keep bragging about they’ve been in business for 50 years I guess 50 years of charging pad on earth whatever they feel like I guess I should understand that it is a business but with all the reviews I’ve read I wonder if they must’ve paid for some of them because within a week I got three different prices I they act like I’m wrong for being completely upset be quite honest this place is just about the money

My dog had his appointment (grooming) for 4:00, and we’re waiting for him to be ready, and we decided to call now, at 5:00. They said THEY HAVENT EVEN STARTED because they’re working on other dogs😐 I get there’s multiple dogs but why is my dog waiting in there for an hour when he should’ve been done or almost done by now?

With both regular vet appointments and an emergency appointment, when my puppy broke his tooth, Neffsville has been nothing but wonderful. They have open and honest communication and incredibly helpful staff. They make both me and my puppy feel at ease. They are HIGHLY recommended.

They saved our puppy today. Im so thankful. Our vet was to far away to make it and they got us in right away. Great friendly people.

I was hopeful to make Neffsville both my senior dogs new vet as I moved from Mt. Joy to Lancaster. I was made aware based on a recommendation from a friend who takes her cat to Neffsville.I initially took my dog to an appt here because he had symptoms of a UTI. We needed a pretty quick appointment to address the issue. We were told to come in later in the evening on a weekend and to bring a pee sample. No additional information was given concerning the pee sample so we had our dog pee in a cup previous to the appt. The next day we received a call from the vet that the sample was too diluted since we did not get the first pee of the day.... I asked if they could run another sample as we were not given this info prior to the appt. They told us we would have to pay to run the additional sample. This was upsetting because we had not been informed; Neffsville said we would still need to pay for that.We ended up taking our dog to a different vets office who makes sure to inform customers of what is needed prior to the appointment. Additionally, we were disappointed in how our appt was handled; it was later in the evening on the weekend and the staff seemed to breeze through it as though they wished to leave the office.

The availability of appointments is a little tight. I know you are probably catching up because of the pandemic but maybe you need longer hours or more groomers.

Great staff that works well with my pet and communicates with me effectively answering all my questions.

Expensive but good service

I recently had my jack russell terrier, Bella, at the Neffsville Veterinary Clinic.Bella was taken care of exceptionally well and is now on the mend. She has a follow-up appointment and I am sure everything will be OK. She was given the correct medication and is doing great. I would recommend Neffsville Veterinary Clinic as I have been going here since the late 60s with all of my pet dogs and have always been very pleased with the results. Everyone is so wonderful and truly concerned about your pet. One try and you will be convinced to use the Neffsville Veterinary Clinic for all your pet needs.
