If you like waiting 2 and a half hours past your appointment time, just to hear a profanity ridden trade from a professional doctor this is the spot for you! This guy has to be one of the most disrespectful medical professionals Ive ever dealt with.

Very rude to my mother with diabetes. Please don’t come here or try to avoid this place. My mom struggles with depression and anxiety and every time she leaves his office her blood sugar gets worse and has panic attacks. Their is a difference between being blunt and being rude.

Dr. Is a great dr. He might be brutally honest but he cares for his patients health greatly. Good doctors are hard to find and come by.

Have been seeing Dr. Patel for over 15 years for thyroid issues and he has been a blessing. He gets right to the point and expects you to do your part. Also sent my father to him with diabetes that had gotten out of control and he probably saved his life. He is hard on his patients because he cares. He is friendly and funny and easy to talk to if you dont waste his time-- he doesnt want your B.S. / excuses. He is well worth the wait.

The best endocrinologist I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with!! Extremely smart and down to earth!! He does not tolerate excuses though!! He wants to help you...help yourself!!!

The most caring doctor Ive ever had. And a great office staff to assist. He has a reputation for being strict. But he knows how to get results. Dr. Patels compassion and ability to pull out the best in his patients has changed my life. I strongly recommend Dr. Patel to Anyone serious about taking charge of their health and is willing to trust , listen and learn.

I’ve lived in 8 different states and I can guarantee you won’t find a better Doctor or staff. If you’re in need of an Endocrinologist, don’t waste your time anywhere else. Dr. Patel is brilliant and if you listen to him, your life will improve.

Dr. Patel is a really wonderful doctor. The authority for hormones in the Antelope Valley. He has helped me and my father so much!!! Highly recommended! If you can’t resolve yourself to follow his advice then don’t go to him if you think you know better.

One of the very best doctors here in the AV! Love his personality and how he explains everything to you. His staff is great as well. Comfortable atmospher all around. Worth the wait, and wait isnt too bad on heavy days.He tells it how it is. You are in control of your life and responsible for what you eat, hes there to explain it all and guide you. If you listen, great. If you dont, thats on you. He doesnt waste time with fluffy medical talk or politeness, he will tell you like it is. I love him and appreciate him for that.

He was very mean to me. Told me he doesnt need my money. Told me if I dont go by this diet sheet and lose weight he would be done with me. He is very prejudiced against heavy set people he also said he never wanted to take me on as a patient which was 5 years ago now. So I withdrew from his practice and will go where Im treated with respect and like a human being.

He tells it how it is. He doesnt listen to excuses, because he wants to help not hinder. I like him very much. There can be a long wait, but its because he takes his time with each patient. He cares very much! He treats my Addisons and Hypothyroidism.

Youll not find a better MD, he speaks very direct and to the point which is what you want in a Dr. He knows you and he cares for your health. He insists that you learn as much about your health as possible for a successful Dr. Patient treatment. He has the Best office administration/staff you could ask for they are kind and are consistent in patient relations. #thebest.

Crazy long wait times is my biggest complaint, ive waited no less than an hour everytime and as long as 2.5 hours to be seen for 10-15 minutes. His staff is nice, and the doctor himself is a little brash at times, but i feel like he cares and that his brashness stems from passion to push you to be healthier. Hes not going to hold your hand and accept excuses for poor diet choices or lack of exercise when your health is in crisis. Its not always easy to hear his completely blunt medical opinion but i think it can be necessary even if he could phrase it softer at times. Otherwise Ive found him to be friendly and pleasant, taking the time to ask about how Ive been and sharing a bit about himself.

Ive been going to Dr.Patel for over 8 yrs. Hes very kind, knowledgable, and professional, as is his staff. Yes, sometimes there is a little wait, but thats because he really listens to his ppatients. I find that if you plan the appt. Time wisely, wait is only 10-15 minutes, if that. I do love the care he takes with me and all his patients!

Do NOT under any circumstances go to Dr. Patels office. He is the rudest, most unhelpful doctor I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. I was referred by my OBs office for gestational diabetes and after one appointment with Patel I am making it my mission in life to stop other patients from having to deal with his unprofessional behavior. He had no people skills whatsoever and would constantly interrupt me then outright tell me to stop interrupting him. He refused to give straight answers to any of my questions (if he let me get a word in) and told me he wasnt a babysitter when I asked him if I could get a paper with information on how to control my GD correctly. He also told me it wasnt his job to write anything down for me and I should get a piece of paper and a pencil to take notes if I couldnt remember. He was VERY disrespectful and seemed to enjoy belittling me. I know multiple people who have also had terrible experiences with him and if I would have known he had such a bad (and true) reputation for being a bully I would have never stepped foot in the office. I was lied to and told that he was the ONLY diabetes specialist in the AV and that I would have to go to Valencia to see anyone else even though that is NOT true. There are other doctors in the AV who will actually help you and treat you like a human being. Do NOT listen to anyone who tells you he is your only option for care in the AV. I cant believe he has his medical license.

The Dr I think is great. The office staff can be rude. The wait time is unbelievable. They schedule way too many patients at the same time. Going on a 2 hour wait here.

Love this Dr... but my god does he overbook his practice. You always sit forever in his waiting room...Its so bad I should rate a 3 star but I really like him as a Dr.... but stop overbooking soooooo bad!

Im a new patient who struggles with really bad depression and diabetes and want to make a life change from my bad habits. Went to this place and he didnt want to listen to what I have to say, cusses, which is not a professional way to act. Makes me feel bad about myself and not want to try to get better with the mean things he says. I was looking for support and understanding but cant get that here.

After seeing the reviews I was nervous to see Dr. Patel, but my experience with him has been absolutely amazing. He is the nicest doctor I have ever come across. I take my husband to my appointments with me and even my husband likes him. Dr. Patel was even cracking jokes and making us laugh, I wish I found him sooner.

He was the worst doctor Ive ever been to. He was such a bully and instead of trying to adjust my diet hed just keep limiting and limiting and limiting until I was practically starving myself and still not getting his good numbers. I switched to CHLA and they saw my diet, basals, and boluses and they told me everything he did was wrong basically and he was doing what you would for a Type 2 diabetic when Im Type 1. What a genius. Maybe hes good for Type 2 diabetics but dont take your child here hes terrible for them.

I love Dr. Patel. He is human and gets upset when he spends all his expertise and all the years of research to teach, show and help people to achive a healthy life stile that best goes along with their medical problems. And they argue and doubt his word. He is the teacher so to speak. When the patient gets upset and questions his authority or expertise, it can get frustrating. For instant; he tells you to loose weight (that is a big must fo diabetes) and you dont. But your comming to him for help. There is hundreds of diets to use on the internet and all work well if followed, if you dont like his. So the doctor gets upset,no effort on your part. Hes waisting every ones time including the people in the waiting room. Yah people, hes gonna tell you how it is so you quit wasting every ones time. He had me crying one time, calling me lazy, should have contacted my insurance company to see if a drug was covered. I was a little upset, I cried for a little then he made fun of me for crying. At this point, through the power of my hurt feelings, I picked him up from his feet, shook him up side down and collected his lunch money that fell out of his pockets. Anyway i love this guy. Total transparent with his language. Easily understood no doubt. The cry babys that get so offended on everything they didn expect to hear can join the California Democratic Socialist party. Dr Patel is a great Capitalist. He tells it like it really is, is a hard working man, and has beautiful woman working with him. Likewise President Trump is a great Capitalist, tells it like it really is and has beautiful women working for him. These beautiful women are intelligent, wise and hard working. Infact, Dr Patel is giving his women a 5% raise on Sunday.(I heard, not varified). Now the Dems: arent transparent at all. Cry babies because Pres Trump slowed them down from controlling all the people. Worst of all their woman are HIDDIOUS. These are the issues that you need to complain about. Not THE GREAT DOCTOR PATEL. I have to go now, my mother-in-law is coming and looks like Hillary, Shes so HIDIOUS.....and violent. ... These comments are in no way connected to DR Patels campaign program (Indians in the WhiteHouse2020 presidential elections).

Dr. Patel is highly skilled at what he does and cares about his patients, but hes not afraid to tell you how it is if you dont follow doctors orders!

Its disappointing that this is the only endocrinologist option in the Antelope Valley. Ive met with this joke of a Dr three times, and every visit was worse than the last. I was used to getting my A1C the days of my visits at USC west side medical center, and blood work done in house. This terrible place made me wait a month to know my A1C, sent me across the hall to a worn down phlebotomist office, and through all that, I had to wait 45 minutes just to have my vitals taken. The last visit culminated in he and I yelling at each other over my diabetes therapy. This is no Doctor, or professional of any kind. Avoid this Office at all costs.

I found him to be very rude. Always a long wait to see him. I wanted to get off some of the meds and was concerned on their affect on my liver which I have problems due to a liver reseciton I had years ago. He got mad at me when I borought in a book about liver health and said something about me thinking a book wourd know more than him. I changed to another doctor who said he felt I was being over medicated. He had me on two thyroid medicines, cholestoral, blood sugar, tryglicerates, etc. I am off all of them except one for thyroid. My Alc is in normal range but I am glucose intolorant. A specialist with City of Hope I am seeing said that my blood results are not that far out of range to need so much medications and it is always a good idea to limit meds when posible. The diet restrictions Dr Patel seems to give all his patients is outragioulsy strick. No meat, no dairy, no fruits, no bread, no cereal, no pasta, no potatoes, limited vegetables...

Very rude and insulting to patients. The wait to be seen even with an appointment will be at least two hours. He told my daughter who has battled mental illness and an eating disorder to get off her fat.,lazy.. and go to the gym. If I could give a zero rating I would. Has to be a better option in the valley.

I have come to love this Dr. He is very complete and explains everything to you until you do understand. The best Dr. I have ever seen.

It is nice to see a Physician that actually cares. Yes, he can be direct. Yes, he can be insistent. Yes, he may rankle someones finer sensitivities. Yes, he does care and yes, I would recommend him to anyone interested in appropriately managing their health.

Rudest dr I have ever seen. U dont treat people like he does even if ur a Dr. He has no bed side manner and told me to shut up as I was answering his question. He told me he cant work with me cause I told him Im not always financially stable and if I am hungry and have bread Ill make toast. He went on saying that if I am in the hospital again and they call a specialist for me too tell them not to call him. Like what an Able Henry. I just found out Im diabetic in March 2017 and my A1C has come down from 11.4 to 7 so Im doing something about it and trying to make the right changes but that is not good enough for this Dr. Instead of encouraging me and my progress he just bashed me and made me feel worse after my appt. and this was only my 2nd and last visit here. We are the ones that know our bodies best but apparently he knows ur body better then u do lol.

First appointment and already having a bad experience appointment was at 9am they told me to be here 15 min before appointment and they took me in 1hr 20min later!!!! That’s ridiculous I don’t know what they try to schedule 50 patients in one hour!
