Clearly these people in billing do not know what they are doing. I get a bill for 24.48 from a procedure in 2019. I guess insurance and payments going back and forth. I pay the balance right away, and my check has cleared the bank. Today I get a notice from collection agency to pay the bill. When I called they confirm zero balance and the guy says I was Not sent to collections when clearly I was. He hung up on me, heres the facts I will NEVER use this company for surgery again.

Crooks that should be investigated.I had surgery at OSS which I needed to be sedated for. This is the company that they use. In January 2021 I received a bill from Anesthesia Assoc. of Lancaster and I called to question something on the bill , I was told that they never submitted it to my insurance company and they would submit this to my insurance company. I only received that one bill and then today (5/28/2021) I received a bill form PennCredit Corporation, who is apparently the collection agency they use. It is more then apparent that this fraud of a company makes more money from the debt collectors then the reimbursement from insurance and they have no problem sticking it to the patient to do so. Avoid any hospital that uses them!

As others have noted, their billing practices leave a lot to be desired. They billed me despite my insurance getting prior authorization for anesthesia services for a procedure. I confirmed with my insurance that they needed to submit to insurance and would be reimbursed. They refused and sent to collections.Googling this practice, youll find numerous issues with their billing department.

Had procedure done in October, woke up to credit alert that I was in collection. I still have 250.00 in my HSA from last year they NEVER EVER sent me a bill; I there fore assumed insurance paid everything and they were happy

Beware of this organization, I received a letter two weeks after surgery saying that we apologize but we are not a participant with your insurance carrier. They attempted to bill me many times the amount the carrier said was appropriate for the services provided.

I had a cosmetic procedure done in January of 18. I was self-pay. At the time of making the appointment my doctor told me exactly what I had to pay to him and them. I obvious was required to pay all upfront and I wrote a check to them. My procedure went well and all was fine. Fast forward 5 months. I get a bill on the 17th with a due date of the 25th stating I owe them the money and more!I call their office and speak with a Patricia. I asked her if she could tell me where this was coming from. She became rude and said its due to my insurance not covering it. I explained to her that of course my insurance wouldnt cover it because it was elective and my doctor told me to write a check to them. She then proceeded to say, well, we dont know what you paid them. Thats not something we know. So I ask her to look up my account, she states she cant see that. So I ask, why would my doctor tell me the wrong amount then and why cant you see? her answer - thats what we billed, thats what you owe.So I called my doctors office, I explained to them what she said,45 minutes later my doctors office was apologizing for THEIR (anesthesia associates)erroneous mistake and her attitude! Nasty, and beware before paying !

Most of the reviews are complaints about billing, which can be frustrating. However, we were very happy with the care provided by Douglas Bower during our four-year-old son’s surgery.

WATCH OUT! Bait and switch is the best way to describe it. I looked up providers for carpal tunnel surgery on my insurance website and they said that OSS Health was a participant. Great I thought, I will go to them because they are nearby. I had my pre-op testing completed, pre-op surgery visit done, and surgery was scheduled. Immediately before my surgery I had forms to sign indicating that anything not covered by my insurance I was responsible for. The IV was in my arm and I already dedicated approximately 6 hours to the pre-surgery appointments and tests. I was assured that it would not be anything substantial...maybe a couple hundred that my insurance would not cover. Well I just got a bill for $955 for anesthesia because they have failed to come to an agreement with my insurance provider. The charges were about $300x4 and United Insurance paid $80 of each one. I get to pay the rest... Their practices are underhanded and deceitful. If you are relying on insurance to help with your bill you may want to rethink that because Anesthesia Associates of Lancaster most likely do not have any contract with your insurance.

Deceptive business practices from this one. They sent my 16 year old son a letter demanding payment for services. We have not received a bill for services, just a letter from this organization telling us to contact them and pay them. Very deceitful. If you do find a need to get anesthesia work done, I would go elsewhere versus dealing with someone asking for money before you even get a bill or explanation of benefits. Especially choose someone that doesnt go after minors for unbilled debts. Disgusting.
