Krystle usually does my curly cuts and is amazing! She really takes her time. However she was really booked out so I got my 7-yr old son’s first curly cut scheduled with Madonna, and she’s wonderful too! Made him feel so comfortable and gave him the exact look we wanted. The products she put in his hair kept the style looking perfect - even the day after somehow!!!

So, not only did I have an amazing boutique curly hair cut experience with Priscilla Francois who is a literal hair GODDESS that took her time to understand my curls and the style I wanted BUT I also got to experience something many customers don’t get to see. There was a gentleman outside who was clearly ill and looking for help. The ladies at Bristle & Prim treated this person with kindness and concern for his well-being. It could’ve easily been a situation that ended very badly and instead compassion was given. They have a lifetime client in me and I super highly recommend them.

I was apart of a bridal party this weekend an had an awful experience. It was a brides worst nightmare when one stylist did now show up or call.This left 1 hair stylist to do the whole entire wedding party in a small amount of time. There were 7 calls to the the coordinator and no answer for 2 hours!!!! The coordinator then responded via text message that the stylist was “sick all night” and was unable to come. Extremely unprofessional! Would highly discourage you from booking from this company on the most important day of your life due to lack of reliability and professionalism.

Love love love what they did to my hair! I walked in with a mop and left with the lightest, bounciest curls Ive ever had in my life! Not only that, but Priscilla taught me how to shape my curls in the shower and while drying so that I can keep them looking this good every day.

I just love Bristle and Prim. The atmosphere is amazing and the customer service is top notch! I see Krystle and just adore her! I have never gotten a cut and highlight as well-done and thorough as what Krystle does. She spends a lot of time with her clients and her haircuts and styling is outstanding. I am a life-long customer of Bristle and Prim!

It wasnt what I expected for what I paid. However the stylist was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. So I essential paid $90+tip for q&a, wash, condition and blow dry my short hair. I think she may have cut off some dead ends. It was fine just not over the top and I wouldnt go again.

We used Bristle and Prim for our bridal party and had Michelle do our makeup. All the girls loved her including myself! Michelle was professional and incredibly kind! She would ask each of us what look we wanted and she DELIVERED! Can’t say enough good things about her!! She made sure to clean the brushes in between each girl, and made us feel comfortable during these challenging times. I highly recommend Bristle and Prim. Thank you, Michelle!

Samantha is the best. I have gone through the process of becoming a full on natural curly head and she has been ghere for me for every step. She is such a sweetheart and always willing to help. I have been wanting to get my hair cut in forever but never had the guts to do so. One day I just booked an appointment with Priscilla and got it cut. Let me tell you, I absolutely loooovveeedd her!!! She helped me so much gave me a bunch of curly hair tips on styling and increasing volume and definition and it was incredible! She asked so many questions as to what I wanted and it could not have been better. I was hesitant because she has not been there for that long but she is amazing. For any curly girl on the edge on cutting their hair, Just do it with Priscila. I will definitely be back in three months for my next cut!! :)

When I first visited Samantha, I hadn’t cut my hair in 2 years and I had lost all of my volume and curl definition. Although my hair was down to my back, my ends were thin and product buildup was weighing it down. So waking in I was anxious to say the least but when I sat down with her I got much more than I expected and she gave me TONS of advice about how to care for my hair and warned me about products I shouldn’t use. When she cut my hair, I got so much of my volume and curls back!!! My ends formed a perfect spiral at the end and my hair felt soft like it hadn’t felt since childhood!! Although my hair is much shorter now, it feels weightless and it’s MUCH easier to detangle and work with.Samantha gave me so much advice, in fact, that I actually forgot some of it so when I visited her THIS time, she was more than happy to review the things we had discussed and tell me what I was doing wrong. What I’ve learned is that it’s important to use products that HELP your hair even if it means spending a little more because investing in the health of your hair will always be worth it!!

Great place for curly haired girls to get their hair cut (without straightening first!) and to have your curls given some true TLC with plenty of direction provided for self curl care.

Staff is super friendly and the salon is always very clean. Lori does a great job.

Love my Diva haircut by Samantha! This was my first visit to Bristle & PRIM. I wanted to go short and make a big change. I showed her pics and we discussed what would look best on me.Im posting before and after pics. These pics were taken after a long day at work. They dont do the cut justice. I was stopped by people I dont know, who told me it is the best haircut.

I started going to Bristle and Prim about a year ago, and I am never disappointed. Dana is an excellent hair stylist who always makes sure my hair is on point. Definitely would recommend anyone to go to here if they want a quality cut.

I love this salon. Elly is wonderful and does an excellent job with my cut and color. They are very friendly and offer to hang up your coat, get you a beverage while you wait. I highly recommend the salon and Elly for your next hair appointment.

Elly did a Deva Curly Cut for me today. First time with that type of cut and I love it! Elly took the time to explain each step of the process and taught me how to best use products to give my hair salon results at home. The salon is very nice and modern. I absolutely hate this haircut. I showed a picture of what I wanted and it literally looks nothing like what I showed. May be a good place to go if you want to change your hair and are open to interpretation, but I was very specific and it is not even remotely close. My actual hair looks nice and healthy which is the only good thing, the cut, not so much. Looks like Ill be wearing my hair in a bun for the next six months.

Absolutely love my devacurl hair cut by Samantha. She is excellent with cutting and styling curly hair and I am so happy to have found her at a previous salon. I followed her to Prim and Bristle and the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that I dont love the location in the city. So hard to find parking.

Classy joint. Free coffee, wine or beer along with conversation with a cute stylist. Every stylist has a specialty. I chose Michelle because she has a lot of talent with mens cuts. Its expensive, but you get what you pay for. I would recommend for anyone desiring a premium experience.

I cannot say enough good things about the bridal services provided by Bristle & PRIM! Lori, Britni, and Sarah did an amazing job with everyones hair while Michelle and Allie did everyones make up beautifully!When I went in for my trial, Lori did a gorgeous french braid that went above and beyond my expectations! However, a couple of weeks later I changed my mind on the hair style (it did not suit my theme) and I did not have time for another trial. I knew I would be in good hands day-of the wedding since she did such an amazing job with the french braid. When she finished with the new style, a french twist, it again, exceeded my expectations!!I am still getting so many compliments on my hair and makeup and I still compliment all of my bridesmaids on how beautiful their hair & makeup looked! I strongly suggest using Bristle & PRIM for all your hair & makeup needs.

I am an African American woman who has been transitioning from relaxed, flat-ironed hair to my natural hair since winter of 2016. Because I didn’t grow up styling my natural hair, I NEEDED HELP! I was trying all kinds of products and had cut most of the processed hair out, but I still wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. Then, I discovered Samantha at Bristle and Prim right around when I realized the DevaCurl cut was right for me.Fam, Samantha did a phenomenal job! She is the fairy godmother of natural black hair we’ve all wished for. Not only did she cut my hair into a beautiful shape while maintaining as much length as we could (one of my requests), she also provided detailed tips on how to get the look every day.When I saw myself, I damn near cried in the salon. I’ve received SOOOO many compliments already, and I’m very happy with how it came out on JUST the first visit.Ladies, if you’re like me and are trying to figure out what to do with all this natural hair you have, Samantha is EXACTLY who you need to go see. The price ($70 for DevaCurl cut, style, and tips) is totally reasonable and worth every penny. 😃My hair has never been so nourished, soft, and filled with defined curls. 😍

Bad, really bad customer service!! This salon is charging clients credit cards, an online fee and no show fees with no advance notice. When clients dispute they refuse to credit back any of the erroneous fees and actually blame the client saying they took up space that could’ve been filled by another client and that they left my daughter messages. My daughter tried to schedule an appointment online way back in September and couldn’t get in. She called and the receptionist told her that the online appointments showing available online actually weren’t(due to a glitch in the system). Now it’s the end of November and my daughters credit card has been charged $75(for some ridiculous $25 online fee and a $50 no show fee). The salon is telling her she missed an appointment in November that she booked online. Although my daughter was trying to get in back in September not November. She disputed the November appointment and that she never scheduled an appointment because none of the times she needed were available. I’m telling everyone about this. Not happy at all!There was no confusion. She has all of the emails from Roxanne that proves she didn’t have a November appointment, that there’s a issue with your online system and that the supposedly scheduled appointment for November was not available. Go back and do your homework on this complaint instead of responding with your cancelation policy over and over again. We are filing a fraud report. You need to correct your online appointment issue. Yes Dana well the issue is my daughter did not have an appointment scheduled in November. Her stylist is someone she followed from another salon. She said she would never have treated her that way and not show up for an appt. If she’d of known she had a scheduled appointment she would have canceled in advance, not just not go. Some thoughts for you as a business owner wanting to keep clients would be: Has she habitually missed appointments? The client has followed the stylist from one salon to yours. She tells everyone about your stylist as she gets a lot of compliments on her hair. At this point she said she’ll never step foot in your salon again. None of the above sets well with me or most of Lancaster Co. Very bad business practices!!

The salon and building is very lovely. The stylist wasnt very nice and didnt really give advice for care and continued styling with my new cut.

Paid a fortune for bridal hair & airbrush make up as well as the 2 flower girls and it was a disaster. The styles they put in the girls hair were not even close to the half up, half down hair requested. Instead they gave them basic bih braided crowns that made them look like boys and their tiaras sit funny. Ehh.. Not worth it, specially since it started falling out before we even left. And the bridal make up, chick did not listen and kept trying to give me giant wario brows.. like.. no, could you not? Make up was terrible and bridal hair did not even last to the reception. A mess.If you are going to upcharge for wedding hair and make up, maybe you should at least listen to what the bride asks for?
