Dr. Tran and staff have been extremely helpful since the first day I came in by explaining every procedure and ways to prevent having to repeat them.They are also kind and understanding to allow me to reschedule when I cant make it in because of work.Overall they are the best I dentist I have been to and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a first time dentist or maybe looking for a switch.

Had already had one bad experience with this office a couple of years ago with a very rude and abrasive dental assistant/technician. I came back because every dentist I saw said I needed braces. I never wanted them but figured the fastest way to get it over with was best so I went with the Fast Braces offered at this office. Honestly, the results were subpar for the amount of money I spent. My teeth are straight and healthy for the most part but there are some small gaps that werent there before. My last appointment though, was the worst. I was scheduled to pickup my retainer and have one last post-braces check-up, including going over my last x-rays. I received my retainer and then they proceeded to try to basically push me out the door and convince me to come back another day for the check-up. I guess they had overbooked the doctor but I had already asked for time off from work for this appointment, which I told them, and said No, I will wait. During the visit I mentioned still having a bit of cement on one of my teeth. When the Dr. finally came to see me, she sanded it down and thought she was done with me. I basically had to tell her what I was there for. She did a quick check-up then handed me over to a dental assistant who was more confused about what he had to do than I was. On my way out I asked the receptionist about obtaining my dental records which I had asked for in advance through text and she looked at me like a deer in the headlights. She asked if just wanted the receipt from my braces procedure, I said everything, she asked x-rays and pictures, I said yes everything including doctors notes, she said we... we... dont give those out. I sighed and thought to myself those are my medical records, I am entitled to those, but just left instead. I didnt really need my records but I asked for them just because I was already having doubts about the professionalism of this office. Their constant texts are also annoying and dont sound like someone with business writing skills wrote them: I sent a text last week in regards to your appointment on [...], but I havent received a confirmation yet. If you didnt receive a text, it may be because the appointment was made within the last week. HUH!? I should have listened to my gut feeling and never come back. Will definitely not be recommending this practice to anybody.

Hygienist Rich was very thorough in explaining my teeth. It was very easy, quick, and comfortable. The cleaning was very gentle and did not feel messy. The check-in process was done by Kennya. Very bad experience here! I was lured into this dental office on the sole premise that I could get X-Rays and a teeth cleaning for only $50 as a new customer. From the moment I walked in, I was pressured into upgrading my services and was told I needed over a thousand dollars of dental work done immediately. After refusing multiple times, I was told that they could not clean my teeth and that I would have to return at another time that was more convenient for them. When I finally returned for my cleaning, it was done sloppily and was a painful experience. Stay the heck away from this dental office!!!

I had a very good experience at Smooth Dental. All of the staff are friendly and patient. At 67 years old I got the Fast Braces. I totally recommend the Fast Braces. If it wasn’t for Fast Braces I wouldn’t of gotten braces at all. The process is much shorter than regular braces. I am very happy with the results and can smile without feeling uncomfortable. I have spent the last year and a month coming to Smooth Dental for my fast braces, and it has been the best experience! This has been the best dental experience I’ve had so far. I have never been to a Dentist office that genuinely cares about you and your health. The whole entire staff is amazing and super nice! I feel pretty comfortable to call them my dental family. Best dentist Ive been to. I was really nervous at first. Whats the cost going to be for someone without insurance? How bad are my teeth? I mean, its been almost 7 years since my last visit.I was shocked when I came in! The office was very well kept, the front desk receptionist, Adriana, was outstanding in checking me in and making sure I didnt have any misunderstandings in filling out the new patient forms. The office manager, Emmeline, was able to guide me through the affordable payment plan and get me to better understand what dental work had to be done. When I came back for my deep cleaning, Steve the hygienist did an amazing job, my teeth never felt better. Dr. Tran was such a great help, she really knows what she is talking about and has a very knowledgeable staff to back her up.Smooth Dental Group is my new dentist for life and I will make sure to tell everyone about them! Super friendly staff, tech-y office with warm people. Make you feel like they are working to fit your schedule, not that you must bend to accommodate theirs.Staff interact very professionally but warmly. In person and on the phone they speak like they are present in the conversation, not just mindlessly saying Next customer please. Processed my insurance effortlessly (at least it looked that way) and didnt mind when I asked them to print whole detailed receipt of each procedure.Office uses technology like text and email reminders, wifi in waiting room, TVs with patient choice of movie by each dental chair. They even used a small video camera to show me spots on my teeth they wanted to treat.Dentist very understanding about not being excited to undergo drilling, fillings, etc. She was friendly and warm too.All around friendly atmosphere. So happy I found this place.

Ive gone to many dentist offices and never experienced one like smooth dental group. The office staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and the dentists are so genuine and knowledgeable. Prior to this, I would feel as though the dentists would tell me my teeth were bad just to charge me more, but I didnt get that here. Dr. Tran provided me all the information I needed to make an educated decision and she worked with my insurance company to ensure that I would not be over charged. Lets be honest going to the dentist isnt the most exciting place to visit. But Im lucky I was referred by a friend to visit Smooth Dental in La Habra. Since day one they have been very helpful, the staff is well organized and professional. From Evelyn making sure Im seen on time, from Jimmy making my insurance is notified and explaining what was covered and what wasnt. But best of all was Dr. Tran, she very detail oriented and precise with her work. She explained in full detail what procedures I was getting done. Overall gave this a 5 star because it starts from the top management.

I had a small fold of tissue inside of my upper lip. Because of this, I have always had a gap in the middle of my upper teeth. Dr. Tran did a laser procedure to remove it (frenectomy) in order to fix the gap for me. I am very pleased and amazed with the procedure. I did not feel anything at all! I did not feel any discomfort. The procedure was done in less than an hour. The healing was process also surprised me because it healed so quickly. Dr. Tran really went above and beyond. Now the inside of my upper lip is back to normal! You cant even tell something was there before! She is AMAZING!

I couldnt be more happy...Dr. Tran saved my tooth , which was questionable at the least....it was so close to the nerve...she is truly amazing...I put all my faith in her and she came through...I am thrilled that I will still have my teeth at least for a couple more years..Such a relief for me...!
